#i5 12400 upgrade

Best upgrade would be to put the latest generation CPU that board can support. 14700K are on sale lately, personally I would throw either a 14700K or 14900K in there depending on your budget. Be sure to update your BIOS
would an aircooler work
yes the go to for heatsink would be thermalright 30-50$
Not for a 14900K or a 14700K 253w PL
The best Thermalright cooler (Peerless assassin 140) maybe
But only 253w strict
you dont have to have a top end cooler. i ran my 14900k on a Noctua nh-u12a which is still much better than what we use for preproduction
plenty of decent coolers in the 50$ USD range
I’m just saying the actual tested TDP isn’t enough
With power limit sure
right but if you are on a budget, you can drop 400$+ on a cpu, get a 30-50$ cooler, save up for something better
FX360 Pro
$60 360mm AIO
Modified asetek gen 7 pump
Cools a 14900K easily
Thermalright Frozen Edge
right but he might not have a case for 360 aio
Can be found for less soemtiems
Peerless Assassin 140
40$ USD Thermalright Peerless Assassin 140mm is an aircooler and will work
That’s what I just said
