I got a laptop with an i3 8130u and unfortunately its limited to ddr4 2400mhz. I want to upgrade it to 32gb so when looking for ram. What type of cl number should I look for when searching for 32gb 2400mhz? I just dont want super high latency and make the upgrade a worthy one.

use cpu-z for knowing the cl number of your laptop's ram that you using right now

#

after knew, you can check out rams from internet

#

buy the cheapest and suitable with other ram that inside of laptop, they dont matter so much in same performance range

#

their numbers should be same for work

#

if you buy a ram that have lower mhz your computer's performance can be decreased because system will decrease frequency of the ram that have higher mhz for proper work so in summary buy a ram with same numbers especially frequency and CL

#

or in otherwise they wont work properly

#

if your laptop dont have any ram, 2400mhz with cl17 is a good idea
