lowish performance

I have 2 laptops both using intel hd. One is i5 3230m with hd 4000 and 16gb of ram (1600mhz). The other one is using i3 8130u with 12gb of ram (2400mhz). The issue I am noticing is that performance is kinda low on roblox. I use this to mess around on these laptops sometimes and just see how well they still hold up. Anyways I am noticing that in games the performance is around 40ish fps on lowest settings. The odd part its like this on both laptops and I have the latest gpu driver available for both laptops. I noticed a bit of a cpu bottleneck with the i3 8130u and the thing is before these laptops were able to touch 60 just fine. Im just wondering is it roblox or these laptops are just to old?

Intel hd 4000 it’s not very strong . I have a laptop with this graphic. This gpu always bad work and it can’t do the hard works but anyway. Some times when you don’t updated this gpu give a low performance but if you update it and after update it isn’t fix in that time you need to change your laptop.

Over time the game requirements will increase and performance on old hardware will get worse especially if the dev of a specific game in Roblox is using more harsh graphics

i was only playing dungeon quest and some resort tycoon to mess around but thats a good point

I was on a 2016 driver and I didnt do a clean installation which may be a reason to why performance is the same but idk

the latest driver I saw was from 2020

the 8130u has an UHD 620
have you tried installing: "Intel® 7th-10th Gen Processor Graphics - Windows*"

sounds like its using an generic driver, if it says its an intel hd

no, the hd 4000 is on 3rd gen cpu's

yes it is. the latest driver for hd 4000 is from 2020

but your newer laptop with the 8130u should be able to use this driver from 2024

the 40fps might be raw cpu processing
i think roblox itself is half to blame
