try this

Have you ever tried it? You mentioned that you've reset your PC. So, you should be missing a driver in your case.

#

And if that doesn't help, you'll need to access the BIOS. Perhaps you can manually set it to 4GB there. But it should definitely be the driver issue, as the memory is only changed when you reset the BIOS, which I don't believe you did

maybe you need "Chipset INF Utility"
other devices connect to chipset

and 128mb "hardware reserved" is normal
is the pc slow in any way?
what laptop is that? (picture of labels on bottom?)
how is device manager looking?

You're not in Expert Mode. It's difficult to adjust anything there. I don't know how to activate Expert Mode in the old BIOS. But with enough research, there should be a way to access Expert Mode

#

In the classic BIOS, there is often a key combination to access advanced settings. This combination may also be displayed on the screen. Common key combinations include "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "Shift" + "S" or "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "Shift" + "F1". These key combinations may vary depending on the BIOS version and manufacturer.

I did tell you to install everything, and the website states that only Windows 10 is compatible with your laptop.

#

You just need to know that Windows 10 or 11 only installs essential drivers to make Windows work. But you need to manually install the drivers for your PC and laptop.

That Dedicated 128MB is just a placeholder for the Real VRAM...

Half of Your RAM = is your VRAM , Intel Have been doing it since 6th generation , Its called DVMT or Simplified as Dynamic Allocation

Your RAM will be used for VRAM IF Application needs it

bcaNooo
either its a visual bug or you changed something from the registry editor

#

for integrated graphics its Shared memory

#

since integrated graphics dont have their own VRAM

#

bcaNooo
if you want to make it to 8GB Shared memory , you can upgrade to 16GB dual channel memory (20-30% increase from single channel ram)

but i cant guarantee that it would increase the performance much , because its integrated graphics intensesweatingcapoo

#

that is your shared memory bcaIceCreamFail

keep install nvidia driver and look after what happen

Because you have two graphics cards, one from Intel and one from Nvidia. When you upgraded to Windows 11, the software that allows both graphics cards to work together stopped working. You also have more memory.

#

I can't stress enough that you're missing drivers for your PC.

#

And if you hadn't upgraded to Windows 11, this wouldn't have happened, and you wouldn't have to deal with this issue.

#

Take a screenshot like the one I posted here. You can use the "snip" tool to capture an image of it.

i meant the status of it

For example, I also have two graphics cards, one from Intel with 1 GB and one from Nvidia with 16 GB. And all of this is exactly correct.

Hi, couldn't find specific channel for my question so I'll ask here

I have 8gb ddr4 3200mhz ram
And my ram usage with no apps in the background is around 55% to 60% is that normal? Also it's a laptop not PC

#

I have intel i5 12th gen (1215u) i believe

#

I don't know if it makes a difference

#

Hopefully i can find my answer

# heady lotus hi its me again

do you understand that you have very little RAM on your laptop and that you're way better off installing more RAM if you can

#

I hope your laptop doesn't have soldered RAM

You cannot have more than 2GB of graphics memory. It is correctly indicated to you because no laptop from this series was released with more than 2GB of graphics memory. So, you simply made a mistake, and you cannot artificially create more.

#

There might be a Lenovo program that allows the integrated CPU graphics (Integrated Graphic Card) to work in conjunction with Nvidia (Discrete Graphic Card or dedicated graphics card), but in order to do that, you would need to download and install everything available on the website I sent you.
