4th generation so support wise No
download CPU-Z, run it, screen cap what it says
But you could with work arounds
The chip would be a TPM module
Rufus can make a bootable USB which would skip the checks for TPM & Secure boot
I don't have that installed but its a Core i7 4790k
Would you recommend doing that? I can't imagine being on windows 10 is helping my computer tbh
I did a reset and it helped but i'd love to be on the latest windows with the latest features and design
Personal preference on which UI you prefer tbh
wouldn't hurt to do it right?
I don't think its super safe to stay on windows 10
and I don't think its helping the already very old computer
if the software is not optimal anymore
Wouldn't hurt no, some games require TPM and so now on windows 11 though
how much RAM do you have?
yea 4GB is extremely low
Would be due to dual channel and now in single
Ouch
would you recommend staying on windows 10 or updating to windows 11?
No problem
Do you want a little recompense ?
No, help is free here
IIRC you'd only need a 8GB usb, but if they're nearly the same price might as-well
oh I have a 8gb i wasn't sure if that was enough for 11
Should be
i have a ssd
i've always had
a ssd
so that requirement should be fullfilled already
Ok nice
computer is nearing 9 years this year
i think
so the components I used
are really good clearly
good quality
Yeah, 4th gen aged pretty well
Msi motherboard, intel cpu, nvidia 970, noctua d14 cpu cooler and fans, fractal define r4, corsair 550w gold psu
samsung 500gb ssd
the only thing that died was 1 4gb stick of ram from the 8gb kit
in 8 years of being used for hours everyday ๐
i'll probably reach 10 years before upgrading if the new ram and windows 11 helps the situation
and i think it will
so thanks so much, i understand you don't want a recompense, but i can say thanks atleast ๐ @static drum
No problem ๐
