What hardware are you using?

and you want to use QuickSync for decoding h264?

If you have Resolve Studio you can use hardware accelerated encoding and decoding for supported codecs, your CPU is really old so it might not support all codec and at best a few base cases for h264

so you do not have Resolve Studio?

i have Resolve, but the same message pops up in Adobe After effects as well

not an adobe user, but I can tell you that hardware acceleration is only a feature in Resolve Studio (the paid version)

and if you go to your settings and see what your GPU configuration actually is, you might not want to have it on auto

#

generally it won't be a fun time trying to run Resolve on an laptop iGPU from 2014

I mean inside Resolve

#

you don't have a dedicated GPU so it won't be fun and might simply not work

#

perhaps Resolve v12 or similar still works - but you will run into a bunch of compatibility issues

okay

well, uncheck auto - but it looks like it's simply too old. Resolve requires a dedicated GPU to function

#

even if it were to work - the experience would be really bad
