A long skull-like level based on Techno Hill Zone from the fangame Sonic Robo Blast 2, where the player must complete a series of puzzles and platforming challenges using the Grow ability and the different kinds of jelly they will find throughout the factory.

This level makes use of a new mechanic I discovered which uses object pins and an object on a movement path/sequencer: Conveyor belts!
If an object on a movement path or sequencer is attached to stationary object pins on all corners, it will pull the car in the direction that the object's center point had been moved to. Objects pulled further from their center point will make faster conveyor belts. Note that the conveyor belts in this level also use an intangible gravity field purely for visual effect.

WARNING: This level includes a sequence of flashing lights that may be harmful to those with epilepsy.

THIS IS SO FIRE

#

the custom mechanics are fucking awesome

#

please make an easier showcase version, because everyone should be able to experience this peak

Although I wouldn't mind making a nerfed version of this level, because this one expects very good wall-riding skills. Especially during the reverse level challenge.

It easier than 8-Skull I think

if there were hazards to the actual sanctity of the run, it'd be a skull. but there's not really a way to die, so not quite

#

even then I think the level is more engaging and clever than it is a challenge

umbral hazel
#

no the halfway point lets you die

Traditional Walaber skull levels don't really have any car-breaking traps in them, as their hazards make the car fall down to an earlier part of the level at best, or going out-of-bounds at worst.

@wind fox can i steal the convare belt idea?

umbral hazel

thanks

Working on a mechanics showcase, I heard.

umbral hazel

#

#

not me anyways

wind fox
#

Oh.

umbral hazel
#

the cool mecinisums was a thing but i couldnt think of how to turn it into a level

wind fox
#

Right...

umbral hazel
#

if thats what you talking about

#

the one i posted like a hour ago

wind fox
#

Yeah, I was talking about that one.

umbral hazel
#

yea if you can think of a idea using it pls do make a level with it

wind fox
#

Maybe I could, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to make one as a submission in time.

#

And I submitted 2 levels so far.

Jelly Adventure, and Tilting Platforms.

#

I submitted the latter because there was also a unique mechanic there, and that the Switch would not have a problem running it.

umbral hazel
#

#

as well as the colabs outer then colab 3 witch bringies summited

this is a really cool level overall! I love SRB2 so it's cool to see a level based off it. some sections like this and the rising acid(?) right after really annoyed me though. I genuinely just went into the editor and skipped this part after a while.

yea fair i skiped the rising acid part
