In my tribe, unless you get married, you really have no social power... Like you can't even help with your parents' funeral...
My uncle doesn't get married, and he rarely goes to any tribe event since his position there is kinda weird (the tribe rules never consider what if someone doesn't get married)

This uncle pretty much funds the whole funeral, but he can't even get appreciated since he's not married, and someone who never gets married will always be considered a child in the tribe's rules
He's also the oldest son, but according to the tribe's rules, he can't lead the family since he's not married
I think it's harder for son compared to daughter when come to this kind of stuff (since the rules pretty much ignore women from the start, lol)
If I'm not married, what will my family do? The worst thing possible, they probably will disown me/ we lost contact (since daughter can't continue the family name here)
But for males? They have to stay connected and their parents will forever push them to get married since if your son doesn't get married you will be socially ashamed too here

I don't hate my family, I think family name also helps me connect to more distant family too (which I consider a good thing)
