Once someone is infested their mind seems to become part of the larger infested hivemind
The replicas we make are using instructions to just rebuild what was designed using those people (or what was found in the case of non-designed frames)
All of the replicas still retain their animation sets which are remnants of their mind, likely whatever surfaces from what’s subdued
We see this the best with Umbra who retained his memories even upon reconstruction due to his special bolt and possibly due to how the infested works with their minds

tl;dr their minds always exist in some capacity due to the infested hivemind, especially so if you replicate their body

Sevagoth the frame died, his shadow kept on going
The one we rebuild is still technically him while also technically not being him

Only real wrench in the plan is that we encounter and replicate sapient frames, like Jade and no other frame other than Umbra has shown to retain more of their sapient mind which is likely due to being installed with a transference bolt
Which I will specify that that is theory, we don’t know exactly what the bolts do, we don’t know how exactly they work, we don’t know where they’re installed but they def seem to make transference easier (Ballas used transference on Umbra to speak to him)
So Umbra may have retained sapience through having a unique bolt specifically designed for him while every other sapient replica we make gets the lobotomy bolt that every other frame gets
Again though, this is theory and not fact
