Noticed that for some reason I could go in the room that's all like.. infected and stuff.. a button prompt came up to sit in the seat, to which the AI guy yelled at me "Operator no!" and I got stabbed in the neck by something?

Uhh.. have I just done something extremely bad to myself, or was this a glitch or something because I can't even enter that room anymore XD

That particular frame was infected with a helminth cyst, before you unlock the segment proper sitting in that chair removes the cyst and makes that particular warframe immune to it

Well the cyst is something that infects you by coming into contact with an infected player

It has no gameplay effects it just puts an ugly cyst that grows on your neck and so you have the chair to make you immune to it (because warframe players are very appearance obssessed)

You also can use the cyst on a kubrow egg to make a unique pet (but thats a whole other explanation)

Fragments are just fragments conculysts, battalysts etc

Adis is probably a fragment too given he needed the flower to keep independence but again we havent exactly been given many examples to establish the "normal" you speak of, and given the full sentients we know of are so wildly different (especially considering they are related) i think you might be looking too deep into it

Also just an aside but hunhullus isnt a sentient but a weapon
