So like is it just me or do the story quests feel really boring to play? Like I’m on the sacrifice rn and I was just bored. I was doing the orokin cipher thing and failed so badly that the game had to basically auto solve it for me.

On top of that, quests just feel repetitive and not in the fun way. Like you do a few random missions with a story context and that’s it.

Idk I just am disappointed to say the least. I don’t feel too invested, even with the sadness of “the sacrifice”. Like I stopped midway last night because couldn’t stand anymore boredom from the cutscene of a character whom I don’t really feel much investment towards ||umbra||

So I think there are 2 main issues I have that I’m speaking of thinking about it more.

1. The story doesn’t feel too engaging to me because it has been mostly delivered through talking heads of characters I do not know very well rn during reskinned missions. And to be clear, “reskinned missions” isn’t a dig at the game, it’s cool to have these star chart missions with story context, that is fine, but the issue with not connecting with characters who I feel like I should connect to feels weird.

2. The more cinematic quests like after second dream have been kinda boring gameplay wise. Chains of Harrow was not fun for me, I didn’t have all that much fun having to kinetic siphon the same enemy over multiple missions and be delivered with an unskippable pov cutscene of the kids memories. For the sacrifice, the lua mission looked cool sure, but it was rather boring with little to really do gameplay wise. A few scattered mimics here and there, but it was devoid of much else. Oh and then we get the cutscene of a character whom I feel like I should be invested in (umbra) but I just… am not. Like it feels too fast for me, like the game is wanting me to care deeply about Ordis and Lotus but hasn’t really built up any reason FOR me to want to. Like given the context of the game’s release and how player were having them for years as mission guides, maybe that’s what I am missing here… but for a player who is playing through it in the now, it just feels weak to me

Search for the ink around the relay and, in operator mode, step into the ink and go to any portrait. You can't void sling but you can be in void mode. Do that for all three portraits and you're done

I ran the mode like 6-7 times now. The drop is abysmal and even with Revenant her death aura is bypassing Mesmer skin. She just teleports to you, so whether you’re still or not is irrelevant.

It’s just really not about being slow. It’s not well telegraphed, ink is slow and annoying, I have been ambushed by multiple Follies while moving and instead of being tense it comes off as tedious.

It took 4 runs to figure out the fascimile is a nuisance. The design on it is off badly.
