i feel the same way sometimes, but that's half the fun, the lore has very specific gaps that makes for fun speculation, but have a clear core
e.g We know there was the Old War, that ended with the sentients getting beaten in the Origin system and then Night of Naga drums happens
over time, the events during the war get filled in (Invasion of Tau, Old Peace, Hunhow's deal with Ballas)

The aspect that takes away from it for me is when the game then has me talk to other characters, and I'm asked to state opinions and take stances on things I'm sure my character knows all about, but I don't, and then I feel like I'm kinda voting blind, if that makes sense? Eenie meenie miny mooing my way through a government election and then I gotta live with the consequences

I thought they meant Thrax. In the Duviri quest, Teshin suggests Thrax is a tenno and so when this came up, I thought "oh we're siblings. Yeah I guess that makes sense".
Then in Quincy's dialog somewhere they go all "does Thrax have a soul?" Making it very clear this was an incorrect assumption on my part.

But still. Dumb people wanna enjoy a good story too. Throw us a lil bone, that's all I'm asking
