I'll give you the same explanation I gave to some friends. I always saw Lotus since starting the game as this very strong, confident, capable woman, she's your guide through missions, quests, she's like your protector. She went through a lot during the New War, and now, she just feels so, weak? It feels like if she ever got into another fight, she would break in half. During the Lotus Eaters, I started doubting her even more, she doesn't sound like herself anymore, as if she is speaking in prophecy almost, or if it's not her speaking. Mar reminded me Roathe's dialogues aswell, I definitely think something is going on with her. And whatever Ballas stole from her, even if we technically see that she got it back, I don't think she did. There's something wrong, and missing about Lotus, and I'm starting to not trust her anymore

Going back on the "deciding who she is now", she isn't Margulis, probably not Natah anymore, but she doesn't feel like Lotus either

The biggest difference between the two is that Lodun can only wallow in how unfair his life has been.

I've been reading the discord and forums to try and figure this out but I'm still not sure. Will one of these options completely mess things up with Roathe/other characters? (In terms of friendship, not romance)

I still want to be able to do descendia but I don't want to lock myself out of anything else

and I had heard about quite a few potential issues with that (specifically regarding the devils triad)

Hi. I have come here because I need somewhere to vent about this, I suppose. I'm a returning player - as I've come to understand there's a lot of us right now - and have been trying to catch up on everything.
First gripe is that from just playing through the story, I don't personally feel the game lets you in on the fact you're supposed to view Entrati as a bad guy. He just seems like another of Wally's victims? But I digress. I learned you're supposed to hate on him, or else you lock yourself out of stuff, so very well.

Problem is tho; I did? And I still locked myself out of stuff?
I got the conversation with Marie where she's like "May we speak?" and was like "Oh everyone hates on Entrati but he's my father" and so I once again told her no he's the bad guy.. and then she went "But? You said he wasn't? Why did you lie to me?"
Even though I never have.
And the game didn't give me an option to go "When did I say that?" so I had to agree with her and say she's complicated, which upset her, clearly. I don't care for romancing her but as I understand it she'll not help me reach the ending now?
This is extremely frustrating. Especially as she's mad at me for doing a thing I did not do. Is she bugged?
It seems really out of character too for her. It makes no sense she'd refuse to help other people because she's upset at me specifically. I'm wondering if this is due to bugs, or if this is just really crappy writing, or what is going on here

its mostly The Hex + their KIM chats and the Cavia rankups that are supposed to point towards Entrati being Not Great, but its wants you more to be neutral/conflicted about him than fully hating him
how the argument with Marie ends determines how the Day2 convo will go
without going through each convo about entrati with her, i can't say if there's an actual conflict with what you said during that convo, or if it is a bug
Lyon or Roathe might still be able to help you convince her to help with Loid, though

Good question. I'm a writer myself, and at the end of that convo I was very frustrated mainly because I did not know how I should've gone about it. How the writer meant for the player to go about it. And also because she felt like such a self-contradicting character. Making decisions that seemed to go against things she's previously said and been excited for.

And I wondered if there was something wrong. Because I did not want to come away from this hating a character because I misunderstood how the writer was trying to present them. I had heard Roathe was bugged, so I thought there could be hickups along the way. I want to be fair to the writer and not call their work crap because of misunderstandings, technical difficulties, etc. I want to appreciate their characters as they meant for them to come across. And I wondered what the reasons were for Marie's character to be like this. What they were trying to say with her.

But I guess it might just be me taking it all too seriously.

Yeah. All in all I do think it's my choices, so I don't think I've earned a "free reset" in that sense since it doesn't sound like this is a bug. I was not draconian enough at some point which led to the "you have lied to me", then too draconian afterwards despite being told I should be.
I had the option to say sorry but considering they'd told me I should be more straight with her I picked the other option. Which I think was a mistake. It does make me wonder tho if I'm alone in making it. Am I an outlier here?

So I had the issue after the hotfix where Roathe randomly went into Close but in anathema, it fixed but then I had a conversation where he gets pissed 'You fool', then Lyon helps you.

Basically I got everything in order for the cutscene to happen and after the cutscene I'm still in anathema with him and Close -> if I'm correct is this that visual bug that I thought it was (I've had it for a few days) or do I just do descendia even though I've already done so?

I really don't want to reset since it went well with all of the other protoframes and I'm pretty sure I've exhausted all their conversations 😭

Arthur does open up a lot and is a lot nicer the further you go into his conversations, he's just not willing to talk at first because he also does not trust you, he doesn't see what good it would do to interact with you, but once he start opening up you can see that he's not actually too much of a moron, he cares, he appreciates that you care, he just didn't want to show it
Like some strangers might not be willing to open up to you about their lives at first because they don't know you, but once you show your true motivations for speaking to them and helping them, they might open up more

They have interests or obsessions that relate to you, and I find that makes the whole interaction much more fluent and natural. Like you said there's just no real reason to keep poking Arthur over and over. He does not appreciate it, and I don't appreciate how he handles not appreciating it. The dynamic between the characters feels far too forced and it lacks that natural touch you get with Eleanor who comes to you by her own free will
