Like with The Hex, if you want to date a Protoframe, you can confess your feelings to them either in a KIM conversation or by visiting them in La Cathédrale. The requirements to unlock this option (and have them reciprocate) vary per character.

You may be hitting the red texts worth more chemistry, it's not always the same value. More texts in a convo usually means they are worth less chemistry points. You had to mess up something along the way with her, because they rank up one after another if everything is done correctly with all three
