I am sharing this screenshot now since I've had a few hours to process this new story, and I plan to do another play through without other people(lol), so anyhoot. The whole thing is a wild ride, and it was amazing to try the Prime form of Excaliber, and meeting these new characters, like Adis, and learning more about old ones(Looking at you, lady-bits Ballas, and you OG Spacemom Margulis). In the short time that this new branch of story feeds us, you feel the love, the disdain, the hate, the sadness, the joy, and the eventual crash out of our operator is HELLA justified. The Old Peace adds another piece to the puzzle we are slowly putting together.

Yes, but the end quest she put us to sleep in the dream. She says so herself. Ballas wanted the Tenno for the Warframes so he could presumably end the Sentients on Tau, and she sent us to Lua.

Taking the blame for the failing of the peace I think is actually taking the blame for them not being able to finish.

Implication (might be wrong) is that Ballas wanted to frame us for the failure of the Old Peace as revenge for the whole "ruined Margulis face" thing but Margulis took the fall instead (personal read is that she did this as revenge for being forced to betray our trust like that).

You need to acquire the Tauron Strike weapons from Marie, because that requires doing the Perdita Rebellion missions to acquire 150 each of three specific resources.

After completing the new quest, there should be an option under the usual "Navigator" for "Dark Refractory" where you can select those missions. Otherwise, go to Deimos and enter the orangle portal to speak to Marie about purchasing one of the weapons.

As per my understanding, because I haven't seen it anywhere/otherwise, we(tenno) weren't put into cryosleep until way later, like after the old peace. That margulis took us in after finding us on the zariman and was effectively raising us(teh tenno) during the events going on at the time.
