I was thinking about the Old Peace demo and the recent quests, and it occurred to me: I really hope this quest isn't too fast-paced. Some of the recent ones, even when they introduce big changes to the status quo, have felt too abrupt to really sink in (Angels of the Zariman and Whispers in the Walls felt like that to me, cool as they were overall), and the whole scenario of The Old Peace seems so cool that I really hope we have some time to linger, see what this Tenno-Sentient world is like, get some actually meaty character work. The demo, since it has to fit in Tennocon, covers quite a lot of ground quite quickly, awesome as it all was, so I just hope it isn't too brisk!

The Hex was somewhat slower and more fleshed out so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I have all these ideas for Fred/Gauss in my head, like in his adolescence he was a track star, then he broke his leg in an Accident and had to become a mechanic, and because of his ability to work on machines, Aoi and Fred would get along alarmingly well. Why mechanic? Well because Gauss is probably the most mechanical looking of the Warframes, I thought it would be funny to make him a mechanic, that he would’ve probably tried to tinker with himself and accidentally popped Redline while trying to figure out what the panels on his arms and legs did and he can’t figure out how to turn it off, so now he’s constantly needing to keep his heart rate concerningly high or else his body will crap out on him

Arthur and one of the other operatives look violently confused because not even fifteen minutes ago Hildryn just strafed a Scaldra squad, and here she is helping a small child. The other operative is acting like this is a regular occurrence. Then Hildryn walks over, child on her shoulder and tells Arthur to organize a search squad to help find the child’s mother. Before Arthur can even begin to ask questions, the other operative pipes up talking mad grief about how an entire search party to look for one civilian is a waste of resources. Hildryn grabs the operative by their shirt, lifts them up to where Hildryn is in their face(Proto Hildryn would be like two meters tall) and says something that the audience can’t hear. The other operative is doubled over trying to stifle howling laughter. Hildryn puts the operative she was yelling at down and the laughing operative barely chokes out “you got death stared, didn’t ya” before coughing to hide their laughter. Arthur decides that this is an excellent opportunity to do a hearts and minds operation, and organizes a search party. Hildryn immediately volunteers
