I hardly think Yorinobu and Albrecht can be compared. Yorinobu was selfish and impulsive, and his actions weren't to the benefit of anyone, especially the protagonist (V).

Albrecht was experimenting with things beyond his control or understanding and either released (or created) something horrifying and powerful. Every action he's taken since seems to have been done for one goal: stopping it. He's comparatively done much worse things than Yorinobu, but he's of the "Ends justify the means" mindset— and at least his ends are benevolent.

Though funny to mention if you didn't already know, Aoi is voiced by Alpha Takahashi, who also did the voice of Hanako Arasaka in Cyberpunk 2077

Something I've noticed is that the lore in the Warframe wiki describes the Warframes' lore as if they're actual people.. I have a theory surrounding 1999. Yk how Warframes have their protoframe version? What if every story behind every Warframe is that of the protoframe, the blueprints only being the recollected mindless versions of them, keep Umbra's lore in mind.. yk how probably all of them were created like that, only him being the one sentient? Either it's like I said with the Protoframes, or it could be that ballas killed the rest of the sentient Warframes, that or they died in the infestation process, and we recollect them through blueprints, however they're not themselves, only mindless beings for our use, I remember it being said that Warframes are BIOmechanical, basically being cyborgs. And considering Jade shadows being a thing and with Jade.. yk, they have to somewhat be something like that

Warframes were actual people. All of them were turned into Warframes via injecting the Helminth of the infestation strain, designed by Ballas, into their bodies (a lot of them against their will).

The Protoframes are separate, Albrecht went back in time with some Helminth injections— made to create Excalibur, Mag, Volt, etc.— and gave them to the Protoframes. But ||besides Temple|| none of them are the Warframes we know.

All of them are technically sentient still, Umbra just shows more of it.

The Warframes we make are just replicas of the originals, but they still have aspects of the original's personality— not quite sure if it means we're forcibly injecting anyone with the Helminth though
