On a more serious note, I don't think it takes away ANYTHING from the story whether or not Sorren is actually the father of Babyframe. The role of the "father" has been established, and that's all that was needed for the story. Some could claim it is stronger if it's adoptive, some would claim it stronger if it's legitimate. As someone without a dad myself, the symbolism is all that mattered to me, for sake of the story. The specifics only matter for the lore junky in my brain 😆

I have said it like 3 times now:

Parvos tells us that Jades PURPOSE was to produce an heir. Now, it could be that the Heir is to Sorren, and they wanted a better puppet under their control. But we know that Ballas isnt beyond duplicitous means, and we know that Jade seemed to be used as a Conduit for the Jade Light, which seems counter to Parvos' claim.

I posited it already that perhaps Babyframe was meant to be an Heir to Ballas or some other Orokin, either as a surrogate life, a surrogate child, or a new Face to join the Seven. Or simply a loyal attack dog.

IF that is true, it implies that Sorren might not be the father. That doesn't really matter, because he Accepts the ROLE of the father, regardless of what the circumstances are or what outside forces want. Legitimate or Otherwise, that is now his child, for sake of the story. Just like Joel and Ellie in Last of Us

but natah also can read as an acceptance of your experiences and who it made you without shame and lotus can read as denial of the trauma you've experienced, hiding it

and margulis i think is just a representation of giving into your abusers so i didn't really consider picking that one

Technically, the game acts as if it was Natah/Lotus/Margulis making that choice. Sure, the player makes the choice, but not the operator. Whatever the player chooses is who she wants to be.

More importantly, Lotus was also a result of brainwashing. The Orokin caught Natah and rewrote her to resemble Margulis to control the Tenno. Which, technically, I'd have written off as "unreliable narrator" (when she tells us that, she's currently under Ballas' influence, and his influence works by giving people false memories), but the Drifter can confirm it in a KIM chat, so it's apparently meant to be canon.

So, Natah would be the only personality of hers that wasn't the result of an outside force overwriting a previous identity.

I mean, about as much as any parent brainwashes their child. She was raised by people who hated the Orokin, so she hated the Orokin. No indicator that actual brainwashing was involved, especially considering how many reasons there are to hate the Orokin.
Erra and Ballas did use outright brainwashing to turn her into Natah again, so there's an argument that the "restored" Natah isn't actually Natah, just another puppet that closer resembles her original personality and uses the same name.

There's also the Golden Mend Collection, which is mostly for Xaku, but also includes a Lotus skin (and looking at it, it's explicitly Lotus, not Natah or Margulis).
It's clearly based on Kintsugi, "to repair with gold", which is a way to repair pottery to highlight the cracks rather than hide them. It's supposed to represent a "accept the past as what made you, don't pretend it never happened" philosophy.
Or, to quote Xaku Prime's description: "That which was once shattered may rise stronger than that which was never broken."

That, together with the Lotus already explicitly being a blend of Natah and Margulis, made Lotus my "Accept all of it and move on" choice.
