I would say that primary weapon is indifferent against apex tank. The first phase is all about focusing on weak points and blowing up the tank with rocket launchers.
The second phase is all about blowing up the weak points and clearing out the minions and totem.

Sampotes can do all the work in the second phase.

For Apex you want Latron with Flensing Strike and Viral to strip for the rocket to oneshot it after the weak points are down in phase 1.

im not convinced because it's literally just putting you in the range to get sniped and killed by the tank, and you have to constantly be moving ANYWAY because the tank is just constantly outputting huge DPS

especially in phase 2, where it's just "oh lol enjoy getting hit by missiles"

because there's zero counterplay to the "hit the entire field even though the blast radius doesn't look that big" missiles

what i did was slam on top of the tank, esp using rolling guard's invincibility (you can also use vazarin's protective sling). then when your sentinel dies (if you have the sacrifice mod) go on drifter, invisible mode, and walk away to a corner of the arena until the sentinel recovers. it's an strategy that takes very long but has worked for me

but as someone else said, take it easy. it is definitely a more endgame fight, so it's obviously going to be stressful. the more stressed you get, the more difficult it will be
