I also think the Vessels need the Hex (the source of their "Humanity" according to the hidden albrecht logs in whispers to be 'alive', and never fully consumed by the infestation like albrecht though they'd be.

The Kalymos sequence in part is setting up the time loop. We keep looping 1999, keeping the Hex from ever fully being consumed by the infestation while still living and growing emotionally and being human because they remember each loop.

So as long as the Hex are 'alive' in the time loop, the vessels still have Humanity and are 'complete'

On the note of Rusalka - I think she will return in one of the later seasons. I think her being 'gone' in Winter is when she is first making the deal and becoming possesed by Wally, and she will show up as the Scaldra comms dispatcher in spring/summer/fall.

In the demo which I think is in fall? (Its at least not winter) Rusalka is the dispatcher, using VO we never heard in the quest. I doubt that was all cut or demo only.

I think that might be why she is the most infested of them all: she struggles to connect with people while she does desire to have friends. The infested play into this, making her more isolated and thus making her more likely to give in to them. but what was refreshing for me is they finally managed to do a syndicate intro quest where the mission types don't feel shoehorned into the narrative, where it feels like we're stopping the plot for a tutorial of how each mission type plays lol. I mean it still sorta does that but it feels a lot more fluid with the narrative

||So my general take, "Wally/indifference" is a nigh omnipotent being that was for the most part indifferent to what was going on until Albrecht went and poked where he shouldn't, causing the indifference to look to him, the finger incident happens and essentially leads to the prokin use of void which judging by the "ripping flesh" line or whatever similar it was, hurts when the orokon forcefully used the void, which is why Wally is so irritated. I don't think Wally is some malicious being because it is beyond what we see as good or bad and simply doesn't understand. I like tagfers take of "it wants to be a part of what's going on, but doesn't know how". Wally interrupts the void jump, sure, that's using his finger to make the jump. So I, again, assume it hurts. The deal made with the operator is less about harming the operator directly and more towards causing harm to the orokin. Drifter is merely a side affect of eternalism. I believe the creation of the angels and adults going made is less of a direct intention amd more of a side affect of Wally reaching out of the void or the void simply being incomprehensible horror that would drive one mad. The trauma caused by Wally seems less of a direct intention of harm and simply that of something that it doesn't understand is the side affect of what it's doing.||
