Ah no it's not that the Tenno were corrupted. After the Tenno purged their parents they spent a long time in the Void.

However, during the victory celebrations, the Tenno slaughtered the Orokin in revenge for the execution of Margulis, and under the orders of the Lotus, a Sentient ostensibly reprogrammed to serve the Orokin.

The Orokin crafted them with the ability to adapt to any sort of damage that they would encounter as well as the ability to replicate from damaged components. However, they were developed with a flaw, a weakness to the Void to interfere with their adaptation and replication, which would theoretically have left them stranded in the Tau system once they had finished their purpose. Normally, the Orokin would be opposed to such creations fearing that they would betray their creators, but Ballas feigned vehement opposition to manipulate the other Executors into approving them out of desperation for their dying Origin System and the Sentinent's supposed flaw.

Natah completed Hunhow's main objective with the purge of the Orokin but she could not bring herself to kill the Tenno. Instead, Natah chose to adopt them as her own children, as her human predecessor, Margulis, had done before. She hid the Reservoir, the Tenno's only weakness, in the Void, keeping it safe from the retaliation of the Sentient.

Got a little bit of a lore questions for y'all (sorry for wall of text!):

Do the Hex remember the events of previous time loops? I know the people of Duviri remember the loops at least, so I'm kind of assuming the Hex do to, although Viktor doesn't seem to, but maybe that's because he has no ties to the Void at all.

Arthur seems to already know about the reactor a year out (and no one is doubting the Drifter anymore) after we see the first rewind, but I could also see that being handwaved as "Drifter explained everything and they believed them off screen"

That would also make sense why Lettie really dislikes Eleanor in the early conversations, Eleanor already tried to convert her and Lettie put her down once.

Early conversations with Eleanor about the Indifference and telling her "it was the thing possessing Major Rusalka" sounds like she remembers the first loop in it too.

Obviously we haven't seen how the optional chat reset will work, whether its a "The characters don't remember and the Drifter chooses differently" situation, or if its more a "Hey, I feel like we got off on the wrong foot, can we start again?" situation.
