Going from 2/6, then 4/6 isn’t too tough so long as you manage it properly.

Pick one, level them up all the way and stick with them until you level up their ally all the way, get everything you want from the ally, then get max standing possible with the ally, don’t spend it
Pick a syndicate that your current ally has -50% and your current main is neutral towards (and this syndicate will also be allied to your former ally’s -100%), level them up as much as you want, when your ally is about to lose Rank 5, then just switch back to your original, repeat until all 4 are maxed
