We only know for sure that they happened after the crash
Not if anyone was glassed before
The crash?
Cordylon spoiled the Sacrifice before the Sacrifice
That’s kinda funny lol
Cordylon notes in entry 12 that while the Foundry otherwise cannot synthesize organic life, Infested tissue is an exception.
They should hire me to do a sequel to cordylon
Real
I already have a similar sense of humor
(Evidence: my favorite cordylon answers)
"Also, blue"
Scrap wdym by the crash?
Do you mean the jump or the sabotage?
They glassed people before the jump
I'm not good at jumping
Go work for DE or I’ll make you eat the Void
Lol
Before the jump they were already glassing people and using them for on-board systems, they wouldn’t have been able to do so afterward as all the adults either went insane or were killed
Who in their right mind made Scrap a Cephalon
Melica can reasonably be one such individual who was glassed and used, precepts keeping her in check as a teacher
My rj pilot would probably make the jump to tau just to fly straight into the closest asteroid there
Dude was probably hit over the head with one at some point
Probably
I very much so doubt Melica was a willing cephalon at all, its possible but unlikely as there isn’t really a way to know beyond interactions with her
And of those interactions a majority are after she’s already lost it
Crash?
Some very stupid orokin
They meant the jump lol
Which jump?
The failed jump
Oh we know for sure they glassed before the jump.
The zariman’s failed jump to tau
That’s what I’m saying!
Yeah
Hmm... "they" does feel more fitting somehow...
Hey, gender identity is something important to ask yourself about
If you feel it fits better then more power to you my friend
Crystal index
I'm trying to figure some stuff out lately, been feeling slightly more comfortable and confident with every bit of progress
Heck yeah!
I’ve been on my own journey regarding other things personally
I wish you luck!
What Ducky Said support always.
Same to you
Both, everyone always needs luck
How does glassing feel Scrap?
I imagine its uncomfortable
Not sure
I’d rather be shot with the green beam of instant death ngl
I can try asking the grineer once I get nihil's sword, been too long since I got glassed

Oh yeah same
It's only a matter of scraping together about 300 more oxium
Why does a mostly glass sword need oxium
Blame the Orokin
I imagine glassing is an incredibly disassociative experience where one still feels like themselves but only their mind, no sensation, no senses, not dreamlike but like severe sensory deprivation
I remember making rocks in my dojo and a moon rock needed circuits
That's no moon
I wonder if there’s automatic precepts to account for an individual suddenly not hearing bodily noises they’re used to hearing, I’d imagine there’s an eerie silence once glassed
I could also see the initial pain of being glassed feeling like thousands of glass shards splintering through every part of your body until you don’t feel or see or sense, you just are a mind that’s being altered and changed on the whim of whomever glassed you
I wanna glass Ballas and lock him in a random spot in the Void
He’s too good for that, glass him and throw him somewhere worse
Put him into my part of the weave
Put him in the camp with Ordis I’m sure they’ll get along great
Would the Grineer queens eat Ballas if we gave him to them?
No, but I can see them trying to steal his body
It is a perfectly good Orokin Body.
Exactly
One they’d absolutely ruin with time but hey, they’ll take what they can get
Unfortunately only 1 queen remains and Ballas’ body is long gone by this point
She won't remain for long once I figure out where she's hiding
Worm Queen somehow looks harmless to me. I don't want her to die
What if she tries stealing your body like the other queen did
Then she'll have to go to Tyl Regor's tube therapy
Worm is more likely to try and take some pretty and young Ostron (but why then were they forced to use Grineer bodies if that were possible?)
Anyway, Queenie seemed like she wanted us because they wanted our power, along with our health. Worm will likely need a new body soon, regardless. She's already a danger in her current state, so she could be a force to be reckoned with in the future, if she takes on a new body.
grineer bodies are genetically engineered to be stronger iirc? and though they're degenerating, a grineer body might last longer than an ostron one anyway. just spitballing though
cant forget how long lived the people in warframe are
corpus can assumedly live for centuries given that darvo is 105(?) and considered a teen
Grineer probably have significantly shorter lives (ignoring our involvement, we're the #1 cause of young grineer deaths) but could still be longer than the average human
or not, they were originally genetic labour slaves
Worm queen should just possess corpus bodies, easy
we don't get to see too much of how normal life is in the origin system, so. they could have good reason. but the worm queen could also just have A Type™️ in the same way all Orokin seem to for their next bodies
i would love to just see a normal city or underground community that was hidden for a while
Closest we got is the Solaris. Normal people in a normal living situation.
that and cetus
Cetus has the eidolons and the Unum, they're far from a representative village
Whereas it's likely all Solaris are in debt and constantly under threat by the corpus
i hope that DE make more things for the murmur, like there are more than current ennemies
Same. Murmur lich when
murmur liche they give you an incarnon adapter
Well, it was
It's kinda
Sentient-y, now
Still find it funny just how grafted he got for some stomach surgery, but actually didn't umbra's sword go right through him in Sacrifice? Cause that would be some lower spine surgery
A second after the release of the infested liches, I will already be asking when the sentient liches will be
Some folks have been asking for them for years already. Heck, we have folks asking for murmur liches.
What do you expect when you unleash the sleep paralysis demons from the walls as an enemy faction?
The archons are better sentient liches
Cephalon Liches when?
No
Orokin liches could give prime variants to some guns that don't have them...
Corrupted Orokin or Orokin Orokin
That could be an interesting method. I think it would be too confusing for newer players, though.
More likely corrupted, although both options can be done
Probably if we ever get another lich type it'll be either sentient or maybe something void based
Is it just me or did i just realize entire sanctum anatomica is inside or under him
- at the bottom Theres a shadow of a tall humanoid with an missing right arm only visible when lightning is happening
Yeah people notice that Wally is over the lab every so often
But not really in him
No no his head is directly on top of sanctum
He's in the murmur parts only its just void bs
Not really
He’s not so much as ontop of it but over it
That’s just the sky there
We know he's there he's looming over it not ontop
Also that sandy bit is technically a different place
Or am I wrong
The sandy bit is an alternate place wich has been linked into sanctum
That “sandy place” is iirc Wally’s bit of the void
Aka think of it as his domain
Also i didnt know the core of deimos was orokin like
At the right of him you can see an gigantic structure that resembles tech from orokin iirc
And i know for sure Albrecht did not do it himself
Thats impressive then
To be fair, its not that impressive of an overhaul when you think about venus
The orokin certainly has very drastic terraforming technology to have turned venus, basically a scorching twin of earth, into a cold planet
*not to mention the whole tau stuff
True that but i was saying it as, Albrecht doing that solo
He’s also orokin
could very well see it as a solo since hes orokin and got cool robots
The labs have several parts that show it can still fabricate necramechs
So he doesn’t really need to do it himself when he could hire a veritable army for that
Continuously replicating workforce
Or have a veritable army of drones built
Aka what the lab is doing with the necramechs
corpus are recieving another copyright strike
now that i think about it thats a lot of continuously replicating workforces we fight throughout the game
Fair enough
I know it's wallys domain expansion
Ah ok
It is Wally. Now you are the man in his walls.
plot twist... Wally's not the man in the wall... we're the folks in his wall....
I hope we get a quest based during the first war with the sentients
We did
Did we?
Old War cinematic
Ex. The Erra cinematic where we watch hunhow assault lua
Oh I ment a fully playable quest
tbf I'd love that too. To play within the Old War, maybe DE can add that later on, would be sweet if they gave us extra battle options and more methods of enemy execution as well. Like rolling on top of the back of an enemy, puching them in the guts to stun them, shooting their knees to let them kneel, etc. I know Shadow of Mordor was pretty good in the variety of its execution methods... If we had some execution movements more complex like that..
LOL like... so yeah... we're going back to 1999 so you get to re-live everything all over again, Tenno... Except this time via actual missions and quests, and not cinematic backstory...
The old war is something that happened in the tenno’s past
Going to 1999 is something that will happen in Drifter’s future
One fits as a cinematic cutscene and backstory, the other does not as it isnt a retelling of events that already happened
That being said it would be very cool to get more on the old war, but it’s something that already happened meanwhile 1999 has not
SO
crazy idea
one of the grineer queens has been missing for a while
Now, I know, I know
We killed her, Teshin killed her, we left her to die....
BUT
The consiracy theorist in me has spotted the next threat in 1999 besides the infested
I thought it was implied that the queens would be alive in 99?
If WE could transference in...
Im just saying. All we need is some time waves from tampering with the time stream pr the Palimpset or whatever the orikin called it
maybe....
We could take out both I stead of one?
Ngl that would be interesting if that’s what you’re on about
Ik Ik.... LOL just wishful thinking.... why ya gotta burst my bubbles 😭
Sorry, just being realistic 😔
Its good wishful thinking though cause it would be legitimately amazing to see more of the old war
The “sublime majesties” are the sun and moon figures we keep seeing
Not the confirmed dead grineer queen
They wouldn’t be
No, they’re very much dead lol
How do you know one isn't the elder twin?
There’s only 1 option that really allowed for her to live but in that scenario she explicitly is left to rot
w>
She’s gone, may she rot in pieces
We never see what happened
That’s the war within, but we’d be going back in time to way way before that- >_>
w>
In 2 of the scenarios either we kill her or teshin kills her
I mean, we brought Vor back
The grineer queens were children during the orokin era.
In duviri
He had the Janus key and has a connection to the void
Oh God, you said it

He's a comin
You said that they were very much dead 🤔
But fr, there’s no real way for either grineer queen, let alone the dead one to be in 1999
What
One of them is, the one who dies in the war within lol
Wait. Why did I get a warning?
Is it cause I said the v word?
But that's his name!!
But they were Orokin children who vibed with the Grineer and weren’t alive during 1999
No there wasn’t an e at the end
I just got a warning
There’s no way for either queen to be in 1999
Idk
What in the transference static is making me lose my mind?
Loid dislikes you I guess ):
Something something inappropriate for Warframe discord?
Mighta been the link you shared
Ah
Well... it was just V talking about how he was reborn
Tried to complete my joke
Sad face
Ah, no, I looked at the gif. It ended inappropriately but I didn't watch it all the way through
Sadface but deserved
Kekw
There, I'm done
Can we now talk about how aparently your housekey has the ability to keep someone alive indefinitely in the void? It's really wierd but also makes (no) sense in an eldritch horror setting like the void
The janus key is like a master void key iirc
I don’t think its known how exactly or why he’s still “alive”
If I had to take a guess his proximity to the key and his death resulted in him coming back similarly to the holdfasts, so he’s a conceptually embodied ghost of a human mind
But unlike the holdfasts he isn’t left incomplete and the Janus key acts as his light (for the holdfasts we are their light and for the angels its the finger)
Vor may also have ties to Wally now, iirc he has knowledge of him to some degree so this could also be a factor for why he’s still “alive”
If nothing else its probably why he’s in Duviri
He tells you in a lengthy conversation
He does and I don’t have the bandwidth to go through his monologues atm
I doooo!
Weekend coming up... time to open up bandwidth.... speaking for self of course
Have any of you used the LFG chats and found good groups?
I don’t even have recruiting set up in game I have it filtered to only show clan recruiting messages
I don’t, personally. I either go solo or duo with my friend. For anything that isn’t hydron, that is.
"I was cut in half, destroyed, but through its Janus Key, the Void called to me. It brought me here and here I was reborn"
Sounds like conceptual embodiment to me
how to get the enlightened hate skin ?
you cant, not anymore currently
can't anymore, clan operation exclusive likely
might return in the next, or one later
These events are usually once a year? or are they on some form of rotation?
varies, some events are annual, coming back around the same time every year. others are usually one offs and are whenever DE wants to run them (usually alongside a big update)
ah gotcha, thanks
Time for kiteer
Would Baro even carry event stuff like that? Then there's hope for a lot of other things i've missed over the years
Idk about Barro but sometimes non-regular event items can come back in an event
I remember 2 weapons came back with Belly of the Beast, and I’m pretty sure they came back for the one before that too
Ah yeah i snagged Gotva... this time... for collections lol
Don't think the hate skin will become a baro item, it's too special for that
Which is why you listen to the words of Loid and be on time
He finds a lot of weird stuff in the void, I don’t think it’s an impossibility good it to appear there
And a lot of weird people
Wasn't there that beam canon from the orb valis fractures in his inventory?
I think the Janus key healed him from first 3 fights and in the void he made a deal with Wally is what i believe
I think it was Wally talking to him through the key
Where
It just hit me.....the hand that falls from the sky in the Duviri Paradox....is Natah's/Lotus's hand that Ballas cut off half way through The New War.
I am not sure why I never made that connection, I guess I kindof forgot.
Also, there's a parallel from the Operator being stabbed through the chest from the back, as well as the Drifter right before retrieving the hand.
Time is all wonky in the void so in a sense, the paradox lies in that the hand arriving allows the Drifter to eventually leave Duviri and be a crucial part of the loop that makes that hand be cut off in the first place.
The hand isn't part of any loop
if it is Lotus' hand, how wouldn't it be? the Drifter wouldn't have broken from the endless cycle of being killed and restarting over and over
The hand cant be part of the loop precisely because it brings change
Drifter exclaims "this world can change?!" For a reason
It's the lotus' hand, yes, but there's no loop about it getting cut off
Maybe loop is not the right word I am looking for, but it is a paradox.
The hand doesn't get cut off unless the Drifter receives the hand after it is cut off. that's essentially what I meant
if you consider the Drifter's involvement instrumental to the resolution of that timeline
The hand is cut off before the drifter part of tnw
Is the strun prime in the relics?
hmm maybe i need to rethink it, I thought it happened before
so Duviri Paradox happens essentially halfway through TNW then?
The hand being cut has nothing to do with drifter
But the hand landing in duviri does help drifter escape duviri
Yes
Before during and after its why its a paradox
duviri paradox happens while youre logging back in
Not really, the quest definitely happens during the time skip
Remember Wally using her hand
hmm remind me, when did this happen?
Handshake scene
OH
im an idiot, i never connected that effect with it, but yes you are absolutely right
I was gonna quote the scene but I don't actually remember exactly what he says
You just have to want it*
Insert funny smile
Yes really
Our operator helps drifter find the thrax doll and escape duviri
But if we are stuck in the limbo of our timeline as the lab pc puts it we couldnt help
But for us to escape our own loop drifter must escape theirs
And so on and so forth
Quest still for sure happens during the time skip
Is it me, but while it may be entirely self-serving, Wally sometimes feels like he is more interestied in things happening the way they are happening more than anything.
Like arguably, it is helpful at times
It starts when the op gets stabbed and ends with drifter escaping to the messed up origin system
Wally is curious and wants to know about our world
Again for drifter to escape we need to escape ourselves
For us to escape drifter needs to have escaped first
Or do you think that when ballas sent us to the void we were just hanging out in the zariman interacting with drifter in duviri, only to afterwards forget drifter to the point we ask who drifter is during the new war?
before/during/after i think is hard to apply when dealing with the Void. Part of the whole thing with it is that it is not linear, so yeah I can see that there is more to this that just a linear explanation for it. it is a paradox. Cause and effect are put on the blender and "frappe" is pressed
That part is paradoxical, but it's hard to argue about where during tnw it takes place in real space
Operator could also been recovering inside zariman the whole time
which brings me back again to where I started (again, loop not the right word) but if you ignore the timing, I can't think that the drifter and the operator beign stabbed through the back is just a coincidence.
But again, "the whole time" doesn't have to be the same amount, time is not the same in the Void. I think if we are looking for it to be a 1:1 relationship in any way, it kindof goes against the whole narrative of what it is (and the whole eternalism, etc )
The stab 1000% isn't a coincidence considering it's a ghostly paracesis and ballas' line about sending the devil back to hell plays during it
ok I need to replay or rewatch a playthrough, i am obviously forgetting some details from it
its mentioned in the sanctum reports that the operator was sent into their own timeloop when ballas "killed" them and drifter escaping duviri had also disrupted that loop
atleast from what i remember
Both being "stabbed" at the same time is definitely intentional - because the next events line up as well:
Lotus' severed hand crashes to Duviri, just as Drifter is about to start another spiral.
"you cant kill a demon you can only send it back to the hell it came from"
think the quote was closer to "you cant kill the devil, tenno, but you can send it back to hell"
Just a little off in the wording but close enough
(And that's why I returned to the server after being gone for 10 months
)
lol
This does sound better ngl
Yeah, its terrible memory and way too much lore to filter away
https://youtu.be/VBWefqxvEPs?si=xISe--NoJrrcb_JX&t=257
Yeah man, see, i never noticed Parasesis being what stabs him, in my memory it was one of the guards

Having to dig through all warframe knowledge from lore to modding is a pain when trynna quote smt
(linked to the timestamp)
My memory for useless information is infinite
im usually pretty good about remembering general stuff, but quotes not so much. did help mentally playing it back in ballas's voice and style
I think I'll try to figure out how to imitate ballas' voice just because
My autistic writer brain can latch onto meaning and intention, more than the specific wording of something. Frustrating, but also helpful considering I'm ironically blind to social subtext.
It's either ballas or goro majima, both seem equally fun
So most of us here?
wouldnt surprise me, i remember just about everything on most cod zombies maps but anything pertaining to the real world? nah
You ll need arrogance and ignorance in your voice
I still remember most of the void plume spawn locations
That and genetically altered vocals
That’s useful information
I can easily get tone right, it's the voice pitch and stuff that I need to work on
Nah just some voice training if your already near the range
i feel im one of those people who remember best when im actually using the information, i could sit and read a rules book but i find it easier to just hop in and learn mechanics and rules when they become relevant
Same
It’s ballas
Your not gonna find anyone who wants to sound like ballas
But yeah you likely could get someone to sound like him
Besides the dumb stuff ballas did i like him or at least his orokin design
does that make ballas fans more common than caliban ones now or nah?
I also like caliban just not his kit
…
honestly calibans alright, in theory just not in gameplay
Like i said, i like ballas body more than ballas mind because he made the conscious decision to continuously build stuff that turned on orokin
On paper
yeah
Not really
He didn’t know it would turn on the orokin
Plus the conscious decision of turning ppl into warframes left n right
After the 3rd time you would think... Hm Maybe i should take a vacation
Maybe i shouldnt make smt
honestly i feel like the worst thing he did, was what he did with/to the tenno, poor kids scared to death, rejected by everyone, then turned into weapons. entirely justified in what they did to the orokin imo
well, maybe not entirely, but the orokin were crap
The tenno were not evil, they were forced to do evil things to survive
+they were technically still kids so they had 0 moral compass really
These are the orokin
Morals are not their thing, nor are ethics or consideration to humans as they see themselves above humanity
Caliban is atleast better than chroma
i mean, at the age they were (atleast the ones we see) theyd probably have some sort of moral compass, but ultimately theyre victims, victims that were meant to be used and then discarded, because thats how the orokin were.
Granted everything is better than. Chroma
chroma atleast has a use, one singular use
Oh you want to be cured? Heres an bacteria/parasite that turns your body into flesh like metal so you cannot get sick again
Caliban has the best defense strip and good shield gating
that i think is more 1999, than the original WF project
I love his sentients and how they make me waste ammo on them trynna kill em
Except the djinn
Ballas walked around and eventually found nameless women who he turned into a warframe and later named dagath
That's not how that happened
the warframe project iirc used healthy individuals, some of whom were volunteers,
thats... not what happened with dagath, at all
Short form version
I know the story but rn its not important
dagath got her name from grandmother i think, and her situation was because of other orokin
Thats because i said later on
Ballas didn’t go walking around til he found a nameless woman either
what you said tho suggests ballas had everything to do with dagath when he had nothing or very little
He got commissioned iirc to make dagath with a face
Yup
dagath broke a promise to her orokin lovers, which got her critically wounded. those lovers had her turned into a warframe to save her.
when they decided they didnt love dagath anymore they had her executed, which failed, putting the hole in her face.
True that
She then wakes up in a garbage truck
Makes a spirit version of her beloved horse and ends up haunting folk who don’t have gifts during naberous
She got the name from grandmother when she didn’t have gifts one naberous
dagath gets assigned to an orokin couple
they love her because of “taboo”
had a rule that she couldn’t name her kaithe because it would “make her a person”
named it anyways
got in trouble and had face blown off by a beam o’ sorts
survived and haunts to this day
(Based off of a guy who did/does lore on warframes on yt, may or may not be right)
Dagath has lore?
theres a thing in dagaths hollow in the dojo that tells her story iirc
pretty much yeah
I dislike loretubers
He’s the only reason I know her lore
I’m actually curious what the beam was because it did have a name
Jade light?
“She lay down obediently when instructed, showed no emotion when the restraints clamped her limbs, and made not a sound when the full force of the dissolution beam blazed through her head and out of the back of her steel skull.”
Dissolution beam! Yeah that uh..probably wasn’t the best move they could’ve made.
No good decisions were made by the couple at any point in the story to be fair.
Also to be somewhat pedantic, Dagath wasn’t punished for naming her horse, which she did in secret; the couple were jealous of the horse and arranged a hit on it which accidentally injured Dagath as well.
Ah. I have some of her lore wrong. Thanks
Yep, and they still felt possessive of her, so they got Ballas to “fix” her, so he turned her into a Warframe with a smiling face.
The couple got bored because it’s heavily implied they only liked her as a Dax because relationships between the Orokin and Dax were forbidden but with Warframes it was less so.
That and she was a warframe
Not really much emotion or romantic love to be had from one
Considering that, as a Dax, she was probably only “in love” with them due to the restraining bolt…
Found a video with the full story from Grandmother (which you can view in-game in Dagath’s Hollow)
https://youtu.be/SNa9n6HG4pc?feature=shared
The Grandmother story about where the new Warframe Dagath came from.
https ://www.warframe.com/
And I linked the transcript here if anyone just wants to read it!
Oh sorry that was from Baros relay ticket thing
I don't think that's true.
Well to stop her from dying.
They are a evil couple but let's be correct about it.
Ah, yeah, I'm sure there's some things that I'm reading into a bit. The restraining bolt thing was definitely just an assumption.
Yeah.
I wanted to buy it but i got on vacation
k the peh
I translate what i can, it doesnt always make sense. Some of that picture was left out entirely because I couldnt read the characters
"eemam" is "eeh-ooh" or "you" (this is one of those "h" is too long so it looks like "m" but it isn't because it's still an "h")
So it's "Are you serious?" and "There is no (cure)", where I know that the last word is "cure" because this graffiti is used elsewhere with the word "cure" visible.
Could an99 be 1999?
I think its referring to 1999 with the 99 but the An characters arent like the numbers
I also could be wrong with the 99 translation
Dang
I can make out "...k dth-ehm p-ae", or "...k them pay", which I believe is "Make them pay" since once again that line appears elsewhere.
Wake Up looks correct tho, "ooh-eh-k uhp" looks to be it
Also joins the agressive "Wake up" nicely. A call to action. Make them Pay, Wake up
It never occured to me that this says "Mall Service" because I originally read it as "No Service", which also makes sense but not as something you paint onto a phone booth.
I really wish I could make out that small strip of paper above the number pad but I think thats a bit beyond me
Here ya go; ignore the "no service" because that should actually say "mall service".
Wow this one sucks. I think the second word is either "p-r-awd" or "f-r-awd", i.e., "prod" or "fraud" but that first word is illegible
And for once I don't have outside knowledge from this line appearing elsewhere because I've never seen this one before
What about proud?
Speaking of Fraud
I don't think so because the "ow" vowel is unlikely given the shape. It's either an "aw" or an "uh" over the final "d", "ow" would be a distant third possibility.
("aw" looks like a z, "uh" looks like a backwards c, and "ow" looks like an o someone forgot to close)
Might work... No guarentee though. We're trying not to guess without basis
We've had words be mispelled before though
Eitherway, we have no basis other than guesswork, which isnt good
WAIT THAT'S THE SAME GRAFFITI
Is it?
And of course half of it is cut off
Sorry, I'd get a better angle if I could but its too late now
Look at the last two symbols in the first word - it's a "d" with an "ah" over it and an "h" or "m" with an "ee" over it
Those are the same two characters that can still be read from the first word on the Big Bytes example
And then the entire second word matches
And then look at the silver motif in the background of those two words; it's a rectangle-ish shape with some lines radiating out from it and it's on both
Well, Ive done a lot tonight. Its getting late and up next are vending machines with some pretty legible buttons. I think Ill save those for tomorrow. I only wish I knwe when you got on Paest because its usually midning or one in the morning when we look at these. Im tired.
Hopefully Ive helped make some sense of... something
I'm more or less lurking the whole day... I have work but it's remote and contract-based so I can basically peep in here whenever I want >:)
It's also midnight for me too btw
Still stumped by the mystery word but I think "The Promised Land" is incorrect; I've got
"dth-ihs ooawz p-l-ahn-d", which is "this was planned" (double-vowel over the "z" to create a w sound followed by a "aw" for "was")
That could also work.
probably works more than what i got
I hate the run on sentence structure
The words could definitely use with more obvious spacing
so I've gotten to max rank with Solaris United, but apparently there's something supposed to happen where they "reveal" themselves - this is not so for me and I was wondering if there was any way to fix this so that it works as I've seen?
Check your settings and if you have "creator mode" turned on, it will hide things like that to prevent spoilers.
Ah right, forgot that since I haven't streamed in like a year and a half now lol. Thanks.
I can talk about new war in here right?
Nvm I read pinned LOL uhhhhhh does picking drifter vs operator make an impactful difference in the lore?
No
No they have the same void silhouette
Not the same, together they have 2
During the quest it’s just personal preference
It only matters for who you want to see in the cutscene at the end - and after TNW you can freely swap back and forth between Operator and Drifter.
When lotus was in eidolon mode she attacked us right?
Could’ve sworn she said she used us
But like she was being toxic too
Did the quest a long time ago
But like in general she’s a horrible mother
She wasn't herself at the time, she was more Natah than Lotus. She only started acting closer to Lotus again when she saw the Operator.
As Ordis said: "She's full-on Sentient, she doesn't know who you are!"
Its funny how Ordis says that but the word that stops her is Tenno
good thing the transcript exists so people can fact check themselves
If they do that
Ah yes, driven nearly insane, half undead, and being manipulated.... Toxic behavior
The narrative delivery of Lotus' character arc is I think confused by some due to the length of time between the Sacrifice and the fruition of the New Ware, but I always try to encourage anyone looking at the whole thing in reflection to consider these major points:
The amount of self-actualization Lotus must undergo to keep coming back around to protecting the Tenno when every other important character in her story consistently and horribly wrongs her is a huge testament to her strength of character.
The parallel journey of the tenno to grow up from under their mother-figure's protection and take charge as protector and Lotus to find herself in truth outside of this assigned role and freely choose her path forward is pretty central to both characters.
Infestation is smt like an infohazard? Got it
She was dying + we put some arch shards into her
Do you think she would’ve done the same?
Such sentient power can influence the mind + dont forget shes an mimic which served many roles so that can mean she thought we were someone else
At the end she even says, all these voices in my head are speaking and they all fight for dominance, Maybe you can choose which guides you
Smt like that
At time of death the brain goes through all past memories(actual proof) and maybe this caused lotus to attack us while having a flashback
I don't mean to hand wave away questions about Lotus/Margulis/Natah attacking us, but perhaps waking from near death in an unfamiliar place with multiple personalities - including the vestiges of actively murderous archons - and a person that she does not recognize is not conducive to peaceful discussion
This
In fairness, she didn't think we were someone else, Drifter was indeed someone else. She knew it wasn't the Tenno from The Second Dream.
Injecting core programming into a machine is unlikely to not have a major effect on how the machine operates without recalibration
And that unknown person claiming to be a tenno despite clearly not looking like one
Nor having the powers
Also using orokin technology (ordis/orbiter)
Yup
Also somehow having the ability to take down massively powerful sentients like the archons
True
"i have no void powers but i solod 3 of the strongest warriors the orokin send to the old war"
Honestly my biggest question would be not about why she attacked and more the lack of hesitation from Lotus and Margulis. But I guess it's entirely possible an Archon fueled Natah is just About That Life and took the wheel
Ahhh, don't worry. I'm sure your vacation triumphed over a gotta. Also I'm pretty sure he will carry it again so just keep a lookout for it.
True tho
- it was very expensive for just a ticket for a limited time
*The sentients created from prime warframes
True
Well Yes and no, they were created during the war when iirc ballas walked over the battlefield picking up pieces of primes and sentients and fused em
Oh yes, the man who betrayed the orokin empire by purposefully putting the sentients in a position where they'd be resentful, thus causing all the hardship your people have, abused your best friend and then wanted to use you as a 1:1 replacement for her is something we should downplay to just being part of the orokin
not to mention how he left her to die when she burned out
True
Ngl imo spiders should be fine in warframe as Theres already weird gore and interesting quests
I doubt that’s all on purpose
Anyway, i cant wait for aug 21
Wdym
Erra
Ty for correcting your right
I admit, Im a little curious as to how a tauric frame could work. I'd assume it'd count as some kind of exaulted weapon, or like Sevagoth's shadow or Titania's razorwing so the noble and agile animations of the base frame could still be used on other warframes
Sounds interesting, an frame build from tau
"Tauric" meaning "centaur-like"
Isn't there a frame with animations sets that other frames can't equip?
Styantax error's animation sets always summon the shield even on other frames, right?
It wouldn't. It's the same reason why Voruna doesn't move around on all fours. It'd be too much with making an entirely new animation model and making it work with everything
Or rather for Voruna, she only moves on fours, but all combat animation are the usual stuff
They need to make her 4 a pseudo exalted
DE missed the opportunity to make voruna on all 4s on her 4
This, we need it to be either modable or stat stick based not its own melee
That's why I brought up sevagoths shadow. It doesn't share animations with anything does it?
I wouldn't know, but the Shadow works because it still uses the regular animation model
DE could easily apply out to everyone of they make him a general melee stance
You could have parts of the animation "hidden". Like either making the legs invisible when switching forms or pulling them up like mandible while extra limbs do the moving
The shadow is very scuffed looking
It technically has a full regular body, most of it is just invisible
Eh I’d say make it so that you can mod the wolf pack overall
You could, but the issue is the amount of work you'd have to put in to make every animation work a one off model
Ephemeras that fully cover a frame's surface reveal the body
Not like all 4 individually but let them be modded with pet or sentinel mods
Is the same reason Pablo has said they aren't planning to do anything about Umbra
True. I know we're not likely to get one... but the cost of development wasnt what I was wondering about. Only how it could work
I like my idea of pulling up the legs so they look how some spiders raise their mandibles while being threatening
That would likely run into model size issues, like you can see when kubrows go for finishers
Yes great idea
I hope we get a good old fashioned pump shotgun in 1999. Specifically something of similar profile as a mossburg shotgun
Having a choice between an AK and a pump action is just

Then there's also those daggers Amir had...
There's a "This what you are" motif in the 1999 trailer
Yeah it's a signal to us that this is the moment in the quest that we as Drifter appear and take over.
Presumably in whatever Warframe we have equipped - but for the purpose of the trailer, they used Excalibur.
Still waiting to find out if we somehow time travel our frames back (meh) or if we send our model info to the past so that the not-a-Helminth can construct a local warframe copy for us to use (dope). It's probably going to be the former but I can dream.
A similar motif plays during the See It in The Flesh somachord (the combat music for the 1999 bit in Whispers)
I'm convinced it's actually the latter - we use transference into a Warframe copy in the past.
Right before that scene with Excaluibur, Arthur experiences a momentary transference surge (the qte) and then we appear instead.
It makes the most sense for lore purposes but I'm not sure how our fashion (which is a critical game mechanic) would get back there as well. Like I would be infinitely more certain in the local-Warframe theory if only we didn't have drip.
I wonder how the gemini skins will work lore-wise
Because the infestation can’t make drip?
It's just more stuff for not- Helminth to recreate. Not sure why it wouldn't be possible
Well yeah, some drip at least. We know Helminth doesn't like gold bits because they hurt his tum-tum.
That doesn’t mean it can’t make them
Helminth made primes but it won’t eat them
That's our Helminth. We don't know anything about proto-Helminth
This too
The techrot helminth may be able to recreate more things
It may be able to replicate metal bits more efficiently, since that strain seems more attuned to technology, than ours.
I suppose. It just stretches my suspension of disbelief if a helminth spits out a fully-functioning lucra syandana complete with working electronics and a live feed to the corpus stock market... unless of course it could do that the whole time
Also fashion is a gameplay mechanic to some extent, not every deluxe is canon afaik but can be used in quests so
My verv syandana is so lore accurate
Or whatever that failed streaming service was
i think we get to upgrade our helminth in our orbiter with the techrot one
would make sense imo
The new way to make specter 😭 ???
What’s the thematic importance of the phrase “We end as we began.” It’s present in the requiem poem that Albrecht reads in the Necraloid vitruvians, it’s the final line in the Albrecht’s Notes fragments(kinda), and “Albrecht” says the line in the final cutscene from Whispers In The Walls
It has to mean something
We end as we began
My brain is a smooth gray jellybean, I don’t understand
It speaks to a cycle - but we don't have the exact context yet.
*I will repair what I have broken, no more and no less. The scales must balance. And in such a monstrous penitence as this, I shall take no heed of the dust that may fall upon them on either side, the dust of petty lives.
The builders of old tempered their mortar with blood, to appease the most ancient of land-spirits. We should have been so wise. Yet it is not too late to learn.
The sands fall. The circuit completes. I return to the place of the beginning.
Let witless hordes bleat their disdain for every fervent plan;
The deal is done, the die is cast. I end as I began.*
(Sorry I had to)

The most my micro brain can make of it is that it might be referring to the state of the game in a nauseating meta sense, like we started with the system in chaos, with everyone at everyone else’s throats, and that’s exactly how the system will be when(more hopefully if) the game ends
Probably something about Albrecht's seemingly Sisyphean struggle to escape Wally.
Im going to assume it will be umbra. Itst he only warframe everyone would be guarenteed to have at this point. Either that or they give you a generic excal. No way they dont have that sword clash in the game
Its easier to make sense if you remember the "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust" saying. Before we are living, we are unliving. After life, we are unliving. We end as we began.
Yep, I think the same thing. Maybe within the quest it’s all like “We need an infested machine to cross the fold between here and 1999, your Warframe won’t be able to handle it without going berserk— oh, but Umbra’s nearly sentient, he can handle it!”
And then as the quest progresses you find a way to get your other Warframes through
Eh, the difference between umbra and your standard frame is autonomy, not sentience
The point of the sacrifice was that frames were all like that, save for the autonomy
If your standard frame is going to go berserk, so would umbra
Not exactly. Umbra already went berserk. He was tempered by the Tenno. He already knows how to deal with the rage
Umbra being "tempered" by the tenno is what the tenno do for all frames
This does not change that whatever happens to the standard frame would happen with umbra
Other warframes lose what could be considered thier humanity. Umbra still has reasoning.
personally don't know if the warframes even went 'berserk' tbh. Ballas ain't the most reliable narrator, after all. Umbra attacking the operator could be explained by a number of things, from Umbra not wanting the kid to get in the way to being mistaken and thinking the operator was on the Orokin's side still.
Based on Loid and Albrecht's comments regarding Dante and the protoframes, as well as what happened with the early rhino-type, warframes going berserk is on the docket
Mmmmm. Yeah Dante could be handwaved by the void, but protoframes I ain't got nothing for :P
Ok, doesnt change that what the tenno do for umbra, theyve done for all the frames. Umbra having autonomy does not detract that the frames all lose their caca, and the operator takes their pain away
then again Albrecht was Orokin
Umbra went mad with grief. He lashed out at any and all, relying on his dax training to let him unleash his vengence in the most effective way
Handwaved for the void not really, he was one of the lucky ones that still had their caca together
Albrecht told the protos about what theyre getting into, he and them recognise that their mental state may not last
that just means there's variation between different frames. which is cool, I like complexity
There's been quite a few frames with that in their lore recently
Correct, but that means the usual default is going unpocoloco
Like 3, and one of them is one foot in the loony bin
yeag I'm more meaning his experience with Warframes is colored by being Orokin, which means a potential rebellion would've gone against him too
No 4, and 2 of them are a foot in the loony bin
Still more than I expected
i think it's more than 4, also. Jade does her own thing, Limbo writes a journal of his travels, Umbra, Dante, Mirage, Revenant and Inaros maybe????
it gets confusing with some of 'em albeit because. some have operators, some don't, and it's not always made clear
Limbo, Mirage, Rev and Inaros are not indicated to have no operators
Reminder than Limbo and Mirage are pre-TSD frames, you wouldnt encounter an operator mention in their quests
The secret is not revealed to you
right, good point
There's also kullervo
Kullervo is in Dante's boat as the only 2 known gen 1 frames
I.e built without operators in mind
Mmmmhm. Dagath doesn't go berserk, but she also doesn't seem completely there anyway
er, she does after getting laser'd maybe? i forgor 💀
Dagath kinda uh, went back and killed the couple, I say that counts
After getting lazered she regained her autonomy
Headcannon is laser to the face the transference bolt goes kaput
mmmm. cool life hack
Oh right I knew I forgot something after finally getting done with voruna farming. I still need to check out dagath lore
It's some of the first lore I read about tbh
I didn't even know she had lore until a few days ago
i'm. still not fully convinced that calling warframes 'berserk' isn't just a way for the Orokin to clean their hands of their sins tbh.
like, for Dagath. Yeah, she killed her former lovers, but they did also just shoot her in the face
and i don't know if the super Grendel and Gauss bros. whole story was before or after tsd, since they were released in my dead years >.>
Oh sure its not cleaning the orokin of everything
Its one thing for your biodrones to go crazy, its another for them to have instant beef with you
yeee, that's really the big thing I'm stuck on. Especially after being tortured and having one's brain essentially disconnected from control over one's own body
to say nothing of how being duplicated in foundries must feel
Dont think it feels like much, aside from being alive again
I hope so. don't like the idea of having my brain 3D printed tho lmao
The fortunate thing is that based on Jade's pov, the operator doesnt arrest control from the frame, they really do try to soothe the frame in some sense, even if jades operator got uno reversed lol
the canon operator really seems to have a nack for soothing frames
if not all of 'em. Ballas' whole thing at the end of the sacrifice makes it sound more like mind-merging than mind control
You ever watched Kamen Rider?
nope, but I have had friends infodump about it to me and I've seen the one where the guy and his motorcycle both transform
Damn thats all of them
Anyways, Kamen Rider W, two people share one body
With a an orange mask?
Not exactly the same as a warframe since both people still moce
but yeag that sounds about right. closer to mutalistic possession
Oh the remade series, very nice
...now I feel like I have to deal with the vainthorn farm. That story is too good for me to just leave the bps to rot in my inventory
Also, is the music from that obtainable for the somachord?
Doesn't look like it is
uhhhhhh I don't think it is yet, no
Looks like "espresso", "hazelnut", and maybe "regular"?
Oh good, I was hoping to run into either you or Paesty
I was analyzing this message with Paesty earlier and we had to stop due to obscuration or bad angles. We're trying to figure out this grafitti
I concur with "fraud" but the first word is unclear to me. Looks like "F?ADEeH". The letter you translate as O doesn't seem in the right place for a vowel but I don't know what it is.
Yeah. I decided to go with what it looked like rather than the placement. There are no such round shapes outside of the vowels
"Duvowl" is "double"
Yeah, that makes sense
As an old player, I don't really understand the current quest progression for new players. First, we play as a warframe, then we have to explore open locations, reach Saturn, after which we get the Duviri paradox, and only after the Duviri paradox do we get the operator quests. After that comes the New War, and then the Angels of Zariman. Why do we get the drifter's story before getting the operator or before Zariman? Maybe I forgot some logic of progression, but wouldn't it be better for us to first get the operator, then go through Angels of Zariman, then the Duviri Paradox, and only then, having seen the history of both characters, meet them in the New War?
Perhaps placing the Duviri paradox after the New War and/or after Angels of Zariman would also be correct, but at the moment I don't understand why we need to go through the Duviri paradox when we don't know about the operator or Zariman
while I understand your confusion, and agree that duviri should be available only after TNW, duviri is not part of the required quest list to progress
you unlock duviri, and then you can skip it until after TNW, but the fact of the matter is that it is unlocked
the philosophy from what I recall is that DE just wants you to be able to play the cool stuff soon, so they still kept it quite early despite removing it as an alternate start for warframe
Wow a perfect clean shot and I still have no clue what that first word is. Is the first letter an F or a P is the last letter an H or an N and what on earth is that second character? It looks like an R but I don't know if it is! My best guess at this point is some kind of proper noun that we're just not privvy to yet.
It's the paradox of live service - that new expansions have to come after older ones, but also need to be made available to new players ASAP - for both growth and retention.
Gonna agree with you there
Klawaetn could be "Claritin" or "Clayton" but I feel like it's kind of a stretch
Looking at it closer I might have missed a nearly-invisible "oo" above the "l", which would give us "k-ool aw-aet-n" or "Cool Await ???"
I still don't know but as far as indecipherables go it's very much on the "spend some time with it and it should make sense."
Its for ice coffee
I honestly keep forgetting that iced coffee is a thing
I love bottled coffee from supermarket fr, especially when you approach the sketchy zone of caffeine after drinking 5 in 1 sitting
I personally never did it i just checked the caffeine amount
I've honestly been more of a tea guy, I can't really stand the taste of coffee imo, too bitter for me
Just add sugar and or milk..
Before someone says it, Yes tea contains caffeine, a small amount but an amount none the less
I have, it's just Idk if I still have the aftertaste when i sip it the first time, but it still tastes bitter
yes
I've honestly really been loving the Eldritch Horror sort of direction that DE's been going towards with Warframe's lore recently, I've always been a fan of lovecraftian stuff so I got really giddy when I played through Whispers of the Wall
There was a discussion here about the Drifter’s hand being restored after the Duviri Paradox and before the New War
I’m watching the cutscene with the conversation between Drifters and Operator during New War, and for a brief moment, Drifter’s hand glows— though this might just be a sign about the deal.
Is it during the handshake
It’s before they sit down at the table, and right before you choose who you finish the mission with
Though the Drifter says something like “guess that’s my cue to leave” when that happens, which does make it feel more like the Eternalism side of things rather than however they got their hand fixed
I'm just gonna say they had a long time after coming to the orogin system to find out how to fix it
I mean it’s kind of implied that Drifter goes back into the origin system during the events of new war. Since there can really only be one version of our tenno in the continuity at a time
Implied?
And that's besides playing the whole quest and all that
I dont understand how you could think they hadn't
I meant, as in pretty recently, with Operator getting trapped in the void and their own history and all, I know that’s exactly what happened, but it always felt like to me that, when drifter shows up during new war, they just got there very recently, and maybe learned what they needed to know from either Ordis or our Codex
Oh, that's probably just existence getting angy over the same person existing twice
One thing i'm thinking is that, if song seems to affect the void
For example Soprana to " bridge the gap between worlds with her song."
And Luscinia to sing to calm Dominus thrax.
Could songs be a way for the infested to stop the tenno? Somehow it jams the "instrument" of the railjack which are not the turret btw, idk if it means the Main artillery,cannon,etc...
My thoughts are more songs have a concrete affect on the psyche of people which then relates to their mental state influencing the void
Now that the infestation are getting that, maybe it means that it will have an effect against us ?
Like if we consider that the infestation is just a big organism maybe it's their "white blood cell" trying to go against the tenno which is considered for them as a parasite 🤔 ?
Special variant of toxic that halves our health when in their presence
Probably won’t happen, but it’ll be an interesting way to make the infested liches more difficult
so the regular toxin eximus 😭 ?
Yes but steel path and also worse
I would personally go to DE and delete the update from existence if they did that
Give them a ranged grab to welcome you to the slam too😈
I think it means smt like the transference bolt but for rj
I think the void angles and infested are more connected than we think after watching the gameplay teaser
erra keeping track of how many of his archons got beaten to a pulp by 4 madmen that keep having to jump in a spiral motion
Erra is ded tho
yeah the slingshot felt like it couldn't work because of songs
One thing i thought is that it would "Soothe" the reliquary drive, making us have a hard time
It is kinda counter intuitive knowing its powered by Wally finger
Well, isn't that the point ? Like idk the infested hate us so they don't like us having void artifact that boost a railjack
There's a couple of things here. One is that duviri is based off of a an orokin book for children which is a story about emotions. Songs have always been tied to emotional expression which, if you want to add on warframe's examination of science could also be linked to a philosophical view about responses to auditory waves and patterns with the right frequency and the further math that can be thrown into examining music mathematically and spiritually.
In the same vein, as for the infestation, that's looking more along the lines that humans can be programmed somewhat through sound. Omewhete between Pavlovian reactions and the signals of the markers in dead space. It's quite tantalizing to assume there may be some science to explain why our brains retain songs that get stuck in our head. Without much study, you can indulge in the creative setting that a song could be doing something to us.
Now, the difference here becomes much different as we are looking at a realm that is affected by sense of sm3ll as much as the laws of physics since both of those are "rules of reality" brought in from outside the void. As a foreign concept to this alternate dimension, they don't quite work the way we would expect them to as the void does not "understand them". Reality's rules have as much strength as a child's imagination.
With the infestation, this is more exploring the idea of how our biology could be turned against ourselves. Cancer cells that controll your body, foreign agents causing horendous mutations, and now the idea of biology being programmed like a computer through the use of sound engineering.
Can you explain it in a more grineer way pls
Void about the mind affecting reality. Infestation about how weaponized cancer is body horror
Not the same. Void explicitly stated to be incompatible with infestation
Void talk about song affect mind/soul/reality of void. Infestation use music to reprogram/prime you for infestation
yeah i see 😔 would have been interesting if it could affect transference
lotus is natah but not marguilis
natah is the lotus which is a shapeshifter disguised as marguilis @karmic rain
Alright
They meant for the final option to choose, I dont think theyre asking about it lore-wise
I'll just pick lotus
Oh you mean that
Lotus primed
I will say, I wish you could rechoose her name.
Sometimes I dont want Margulis, sometimes I want the Lotus.
Then change the skin
The name doesn't reałly matter
That doesnt change the name for me
I-
Did you miss the part where the name was what I was talking about?
The name doesn't matter in the grand scheme of you wanting her to be Lotus or Margulis it is visual stuff that changes that
You're still missing the point.
They want to change the name.
The name is what matters to them
Cause, you know, I had no idea we could change the image afterwards. If I HAD known
i font know if they fixed this or not but theres a chance that the game can bug and rechoose your option if you replay the quest
i changed mine from lotus to natah (DE please donot revert my change)
They did say to consider careful when making the choice...
Oh wait you mean the skin
ah ofc ill replay the 6 hour quest for a skin change
no it dont change the skin tho
just the name
I just want the name changed. buyer's remorse
even more meaningless
i mean all joe wants is the name
Look, i bought the radiant lotus appearance. I just didnt know you could change the appearance later
Railjack infestation also mean that they would have to make something for the crewmate, so you don't literally lose them 😭
Ill try playing the new war over again when I get home from work
They missed a big opportunity for Railjack prime with Sevagoth prime
what do we have with sevag prime ?
sentinal attachments and one of the halo things, which will instead be used as a feather in his hat than floating overh is head
Oh... No sevagoth ship prime 😔
I can kinda understand why they wouldnt do it but a prime railjack skin would have gone so hard
nah i dont think its worth it cuz it only changes if your game glitches
so dont try it because the worst case scenario is being in the same situation im in??
Would've loved to fly into battle, flexing on my enemies by rolling up in a gold-plated battleship
I mean you can still do that it just wont be “primed” 😔
true, but that wouldn't have the same feeling of pulling up to a grineer or Corpus railjack mission and imagining them going "Oh no, he doesn't just have an orokin-era railjack, he has a Prime orokin-era railjack, we're so screwed, he's him"
Lmao
that looks pretty convincing, but don't you also just wanna see what a prime railjack could look like? as in, officially?
It’s just not the same ):
Don't disrespect my Walmart RJ Prime
Sorry 😶
To think that if they do that the prime access would cost like around 30 or 50 more lmaoo
Just for a skin? Doubt it
but it's a ship 😔
How much did nidus prime access cost? A mech skin seems comparable to an rj one
I do want that mech skin next time it comes back...
They knew the indecision between Prime and Tempestarii would be too great 😔
tempestarii prime
Same
Guys what is the name of the prime shotgun that u use at the begining of the new war using kahl 175 or somthng like that jaja
Corinth
niceee txs
*Corinth Prime
It would be not... Surprising if DE takes the siren mythology and integrate it to the infestation
I mean, now that they have confirmed that they use song, replica, creating creature...
I think it could actually make sen sense that current infestation would try to do a siren unit that lure their prey with a voice that cannot be resisted
Weird theory but imagine a siren unit against us lmao like it would try to corrupt the Warframe like how infested alad v boss fight do
Maybe there will be more infested unit that the current two we've seen in 1999
I sure hope
False hydra-based infested
False hydra void entity?
imagine for the Infested lich tax system, they thank you for attending their concert, remind you to check out the souvenir shop, tell you off for ordering pineapple anchovy pizza, etc
DE please make this happen, especially the pizza one
Or they could tax you for not paying and take mission credits
"Look, buddy, I get you want to watch the concert and all, but you gotta pay the admission fee"
Or some fake 1999 slang
i got my first sister and I thought "You know what would be cool? Sentinel lichs." But then I realized thats jsut the archon people. but then I thought about lichs being able to just give you an amp, which led to the idea of amalgam and narmer lichs
also is tenet plinx any good, i got a 54% impact
Totally not rad, Dude!
so let the sister live?
Kill her if you want, imo the Adversaries aren't much better as crew members
At the very least you can merge your Tenet Plinx with another Tenet Plinx of another element
They're opening up so much possibility for infested ennemies fr I feel like after void arc infested would have more weird ennemies fr
It wouldn't be far fetched if they reach for shielder units like a rioter in tower defense
i want hunt showdown levels of body horror
make the infested weird and creepy
Deimos infested were only weird
Not creepy, actually they can't be creepy in the context of Warframe, bcz like jugulus are terrifying iirc they're like 3 meter tall
Like imagine going up against a jugulus alone in first person
This lad shoot dart and smash the ground
Well, tried playing it again...Still cant change the name
4 hours gone... I really wish they let you change the name if you bothered to do the whole quest again
I doubt there's many people asking it to be changed but...
I really dislike the idea that I have something about my account that I need to "fix"
If I had known there was the ability to change Lotus's apearance, I would have gone with Lotus instead of Natah. But thats the thing about not looking up spoilers
I have heard before that DE unofficially is okay with people modding warframe as long as they're not giving themselves paid content. In otherwors, purely cosmetic
I wouldnt get my account banned for changing the name margulis in the files to Lotus, would I?
This just really sucks tonight...
mods are dead it seems
I hate how I cant fix a choice I made two years ago
I think they make it pretty clear in the moment you can't change the name.
Ive given the above reasons. Its been over two years and I didnt know we'd be able to change her appearance
I have not heard that. I would be extremely wary about doing it, myself.
Yeah I do get that it's this thing you can never fix. I can sympathise with you.
And thats just it. I dont like that I feel like I need to "fix" my account
Heck, if there was a way to reset story progress but let me keep my items, I'd do the entire story over again just to change this one decision
Well, I guess never go into warframe blind again. my fault for wanting the authentic experience with the questline
I just bought some platinum. Would love to be able to pay my way out of this
The choice’s impacts won’t be too drastic, I feel
It’s not as though you’ll be locked into any specific endings with Lotus/Natah/Margulis
Agreed, but this is very frustrating for me tonight. It comes and goes. Sometimes I dont care, sometimes, like right now, it really bugs me
It does seem purely cosmetic, considering that you can buy other skins that you weren’t initially offered
So, like I said
I didnt know that
Otherwise I'd have picked lotus
man, my original choice was purely because I didnt want her locked out of having hair
This would be a lot less annoying if she just had the name of the skin you have her use
I wish there was some kind of appeal form you could fill out, like how sometimes you can get refunds for items if, say, someone was playing on your account and bought something from the market. Had that happen once back in the day... My little brother bought shoulder armor he thought was cool
DE helped me out and reversed the transaction
checked warframe support. They cant change it
I definitely get why for lore reasons, Margulis may not be the most appropriate choice, but thankfully it's only the identity she chose "to lead the others". In that sense choosing Margulis means they took on the likeness of that mother figure who cared for you after the void jump accident - and when coupled with the ability to change her appearance cosmetically, adds a touching layer to how she interacts with you, the Tenno.
It's a more human identity, and fosters a deeper connection with her (even if the identity itself isn't as genuine, as say, Lotus).
Now if you chose Natah and got stuck with Robo-Mom, I'd totally understand wanting to change it 😅
I wanted hair. That was it. If I knew we could change afterwards, I'd have picked lotus
I picked margilus but changed to the pot skin I'm more annoyed about
We should be able to pick her name
You can pick her name
I ment after the quest
But that wouldn’t fall in line with what replaying a quest really is
If helminth chargers are created by infecting a kubrow with the helminth, does that technically make them almost Warframes?
Weird question I know
No, because they haven’t got sword steel
Wasn’t that a by-product of the helminth?
“Their flesh blossomed into sword-steel”
since the cyst was drained into the egg, the kubrow would've been born infested rather than becoming infested like a warframe
If anything a helminth charger is closer to our resident warframe baby orion/sirius than any other frame
True
we just finished the deep archimedea alchemy mission
actual worst mission of my life
Weird question however is Jade and Stalker's child effectively a Tenno with a natural Warframe body?
No
Just a Helminth kid?
And even then it's not a tenno because it's not a zariman kid
I'm not sure if Wally is necessary with Hunhow, but I'm not sure if the timeline works out where Sentient muckery is really relevant.
Also I'll accept that they're just a Helminth kid, but I did phrase it as "effectively a Tenno" for that exact reason of them not being on the Zariman.
They still wouldn't be a Tenno in any real way then

They could have inherited void powers from Jade TBH, and they would probably be free from Wally's deal as well
Wait are all Warframe abilities void powered or is it just Xaku
I forgor
All are
Even Stalker?
What else would they be powered by, his anger?
Well, if they do, hope they do get to another frame with dual aura...
I love how Stalker is called the "Tenno hunter" despite only destroying like 8 frames and having 0 actual Tenno kills
Well to most of the System they think the Tenno is the frame
I'd like to clarify that warframes have powers without tenno. The Tenno just make them overpowered. Think modded versus unmodded warframe
As far as the universe at large knows, the tenno are inside warframes rather than controlling them remotely
Killing a single warframe is a massive effort, much less multiple
Nah they don’t even know there is a kid
Exactly- well, kinda. There's a nebulous distinction between 'Tenno' and 'Warframe' even if they're synonymous. It's the distinction between warrior and equipment since most people are unsure if warframes are armor or thier actual body. Even less know they used to be people
Most people probably don't even think Warfranes are real considering how it was before their time and we don't visit a lot of the system just military targets
Says so in the Mag lore. They think they're folktales and ghost stories at best. They're the in universe version of Chuck Norris jokes. Noone actually thinks it happens
That makes us pulling up to Cetus to fish even funnier
Imagine seeing an mythical warrior of legends and the first thing they do is complain about rare fish
This is underneath Arsenal
That's for your vehicles I think?
Yeah but when people get told about it by Ostrons, they think its more of this wierd "Uunum this, Uunum that" nonsense. They probably assume its something in the water Ostrons drink
I just got sucked into it somehow
/unstuck
You can't unstuck out of mission lol
Forever sealed away in Arch-wing and Necramech dimension
||DN||
fast travel to foundary or arsenal
Honestly forgot we have fast travel lol
We have that?
Damn
It's whatever you press to open stuff like gear wheel
Did de mention returning to sentients one day?
No, but look in Orb Vallis
Finally going to the Zariman. Hearing the Lotus say I'm no longer a child makes me think I'm finally out of the tutorial
Oh you're still in the tutorial trust me
Tutorial never ends
Like, is steel path considered just the game?
Given the game keeps teaching me new stuff, it all feels like a giant beginning lol
Fashionframe is the one true Endgame
Fashionframe is endgame
Fashioning the unfashionable is
Fashion frame is mid - end
If you dont have a fashionframe for every single Warframe then what are you even doing?
Playing Wisp 24/7.
Oh okay, so we just not gonna talk about how you're Proto Excalibur in whisper in the walls
Y'all just holding out on me until I experience it for myself huh
What
Have you played Whispers in the Walls?

There's a section you get to play as Arthur
Yes?
That’s how not spoiling things works, yes
Also why we use ||spoiler tags|| if there’s recent quests people haven’t done yet, if it or it’s lore is the topic of conversation
That must've made the 1999 reveal go all the harder
Not really
The initial reveal was alongside the reveal of whispers and it went as hard as it did in the quest
For some reason whenever I see arthur all I can think of is a strange brazilian man with a sword
Nah clearly it’s a Jamaican man
I know what I'm referencing but what are you referencing
Will sevagoth prime come in resurgence to buy with (aya) or will it be like gauss in random relics??
You deny your sword its true purpose
Resurgence is, as the name implies, for returning frames
My sword is a tool of justice
BESIDES THIS ISN'T MY SWORD
Skipped ahead a little there
if you stab a Warframe with a sword would the sword break or the Warframe
Neither until the frame decides it's time to break the sword
Are Warframe hands strong enough for that
Hasn't your warframe canonically broken a sword?
Not with their hands
Broken War snapped in half somehow
But... the frame pulls it apart with their hands
Don't they only pull it out
Yes with their hands
Nope breaks it and then pulls it out, chief
They pull it apart
One half even stays in the frame
Why does Stalker seem to get affected by that physically
Who knows
Weren't they spiritually connected because of the armor?
Maybe his pakal armor malfunctioned when its origin was broken
Hunhow managed to fix it for him luckily for him
Is it really easily if you have to rip apart your fragments
Yes
For Hunhow? I'd say so
It was a fragment of him
I was nearly there
the armor might also be a part of hunhow, more fragments, more pieces he could act through
But the sword def was
aw yeah, arcane dissolution from our pal got me this
dupe
Which one is this, chief?
dupe
Ah
Jeez thats difficult
Argon Burger is an interesting name for a restaurant in 1999
Btw, did DE just straight out copy Blood Hunt game?
lmao no?
I just looked closer at the gameplay and the map theme look nearly the same
Over the shoulder
Has gun
Shooting at thing that explodes green
In a city
I hate it when town is happening ):
What, you mean "generic European architecture"?
I urge you to look harder lmao
Oh no! Cities!
It could be Tsuira town but Im not 100% sure thats a place. Better to claim its untranslated
Not cities!
Lets just completely ignore that conventional warframe movement is still available in 1999
Also the techrot landscape
Wall latching, casting abilities, down system, jumping onto buildings, and many weapons
it looks so close to it
All of which were in Warframe for nearly a decade before changing to a central european setting?
hey genius I wanna ask you which game had
Wall latching, casting abilities, down system,
These first?
Well, you may have me at jumping onto buildings. Werent too many buildings to be on top of. We were mostly inside of them
Calm down Bau 😭
