Nothing in this disagrees with the image shimmer sent
All universes with mechs have their own reasons and explanation behind their in-universe versions. Necramechs and warframes are the only technical mechs, as they are piloted. Sentients literally live up to their name 😅
OK then i call them space skynet
happy xD ?
I mean
They kinda are
They’re true AI with robotic bodies
Bodies that adapt and change incredibly well
The sentients we fight are just fragments
^
We have very small and extremely big versions of sentients. Would you say a vomvalyst is piloted?
Imagine if we ever have to fight an actual full-size sentient (not descendant like erra or natah)
Closest thing to a “pilotable” sentient we’ve seen is Praghasa’s corpse
Which is more of a ship than anything else
anyway what really got me curious is their real weird ish cool stuff , and next to the remains earth , and the space wrecks and the Valyst forms
They creep the heck outta me , yet still they catch me
The sentients are incredibly interesting design-wise
Their ship tileset is probably one of my favorite tilesets just because its so unique
first time i encountered em it was "What in the everloving F are you"
Do y’all see an area suitable for a pilot? Bear in mind these guys (battalysts) are similar to warframes in height although they float
Oh deadly you are
I spent way too much time in that tileset for the ephemera from duck
The unlight?
And I'll have to do it again
its also deffo one of the most unique takes in this area
Yes
I really want it but it’s sentient railjack
ive played A LOT of robot/mech games and none tackled the topic like Warframe did
still creepy , but cool creepy
Ah yes, tailback, my favorite mission type
Lmao
It was worth it
Which I can't play anymore because it crashes my game
What D:
You sound like smoke finger complaining about their mining limitations
I forgot about him omg
If I do more than one rj mission in a row it progressively slows down my entire steam deck until it becomes unresponsive
Oh, steamdeck
Dang that sucks ):
I should see if the switch can handle it
Duviri, my other favorite game mode, almost instantly crashes my game 90% of the time
):
For the other 10% it waits until I'm at the orowyrm fight
It should, I used to play on switch and did a lot of rj back then for credits
Dang
Is there a good credit farm in rj?
Now that I got used to pc loading times and graphics I can't go back anymore
High lvl corpus rj is at least 100k per mission iirc
oml nice
Slower than index but much more fun
And you get free endo from salvage, and a lot of helminth food too
👁️
Wanna play sometime?
Any nodes you recommend?
Anyone know if Incarnons work in the conclave?
You still get plat with the accessories, I just think I want the fun of grinding for the parts
I usually do veil exterminate for highest lvl and fastest/easiest completion
I’ll keep that in mind
Thanks Scrap
You can grind for ember heirloom?
Sevagoth prime
Oh, then only accessories. Only thing you can't get in game
Yeah I plan on grinding for the sevagoth, epitaph and nautilus prime
surely sev prime will be void storm exclusive
That would imply they're here to stay.
Since I believe nyx and valk are void storm exclusive.
ya
As a Certified RJ head. The Void Storms for the Void and high level Coprus ones Give a lot of Endo and credits.
The parts right?
Over like 2k Endo average or more not even counting the actual drops just scrap. You can also just roll 1k endo
On the Void storm rewards.
Any other nodes you’d reccomend?
I have friends who are newer who need creds and endo so
If those can help 👀
The grinner high level one. Let me see it's name.
Thank you Vinny
I have like so much of the parts, where do I turn that in for endo
R-9 cloud.
Nice, thanks a ton!
i just ran a Veil Proxima mission for a friend, exterminate one, 131k credits at the end
afterwards i ran 3 rounds of The Index set at high investment with the guy using that initial 131k to pay the upfront 50k cost, ended up with him getting about 1,3m in those 17 minutes.
The question mark.
You domt have to identify them to scrap them.
Credits really are easy lol
All tier 3 parts are 220 endo each.
he had an extra credit booster bought from market alongside my credits true master buff, whereas i had just the true master buff
They are but it's a multi farm in RJ.
I have a good bit stockpiled
Right
Are you able to do it?
@balmy storm basically people do the RJ missions for credits and Endo (and the Helminth resources) cuz its a multi farm and you get a lot of relics for it as well.
Not on my PC rn
Oh okay.
Nice
It's where I got literally all my endo.
i honestly need to do more railjack lol, i got my ship maxed but barely use it
i can use the endo 😄 barely got any of my more expensive mods maxed out over the endo cost
Cus at the time all the other Endo farms sucked. I do not want to play any arena game mode.
I dislike all the arenas and profit taker.
i hate profit taker
so tedious
Index is easy if you got some decent teammates and a good immortal frame like a max powerstrength Revenant
Do we have a specific release date for "The Lotus Eaters"?
or just "sometimes in August"?
Pattern recognition tells me it's most likely to be a Tuesday, but...
Sometime in August
I miss my almost perfected rj
Respectfully, I’m still scorched out on Railjack after going from r6-8 to fully maxed out intrinsics in a single day
Also, I will be very angy if the August update takes away Lotus(again)
I did the approximation, the Lotus was gone for like 4 out of the 11 years Warframe has been a thing
Time to meet the Proto-lotus
I think they probably took Lotus leaving again off the table when they gave her additional skins after New War
Nah, they gonna use the added attachment to make it even worse
That said I do like to take the opportunity to gripe about what an awful narrative stagnation that whole period was
That was... December 2017 to December 2021?
It was a pretty terrible time for the game's content mill in general. I want to say I was still logging off and on occasionally for maybe the first year of it, but I had basically quit the game prior to railjack kicking off.
Eidolon hunts as the late game content grind alone was awful
Eidolon Hunts themselves aren't that bad, but it would be nice if they were more of a once-a-week thing like Archons and EDA
I imagine they're gonna say more at Gamescom about it and drop it as soon as the Gamescom devstream is over, and that's towards the end of August
Protus
Prototus
Tokyo Game Show is when they're announcing the name of the update after The Lotus Eaters
Prototus almost looks like potatoes
TGS isn't until late September though right
er, right, sorry, thought that's what you were talking about
They announced in quick succession that they're doing both it's fine 😅
They're more boring these days to me than at the start even since everything about them is so throughly "solved" and everyone knows how you're supposed to do them. But really it's just that there was nothing else to do at the time. Like sanctuary onslaught was kind of the other thing and I quit the game just after the suite of damage changes which created the last meta
In terms of the power balance of the game I still pine for a lot of the old ways, but there was just nothing to do back then.
So, I think the notes on the 1999 Webring are interesting:
Latest Update:
On-lyne has a super secret show coming up at the new Hӧllvanian stadium, and yours truly got tickets! It’s gonna be OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!
This On-lyne fansite is owned by Rebecca F..
https://www.warframe.com/1999/on-lyne
1999 Rebecca gets infested.
This Classified Protoframe Dossier is the intellectual property of Albrecht Entrati.
https://www.warframe.com/1999/protoframes
The Highly-Sensitive Documents used to create this site were stolen by Spark.
https://www.warframe.com/1999/atomicycle
There's someone called "Spark". Do we know anything about them?
Welcome to the best source of information for On-lyne - the greatest band ever seen in Hӧllvania or the rest of the world!
@warm anvil I’ve only just started it and this is cool, playing as a grinner
Spark seems likely to be Amir's (Protovolt) online moniker
Also, I'm amused by Albrecht using a "K-drive" (K://)
Spark might be those chat logs from the pre-TennoCon teases
i replayed this mission a week after first playing it, just for this part
lol that's a fun detail
Yeah, it seems K-drives come from both sides of the family. :V
Khal sneak gud
Anyone know what time the stream starts at tomorrow?
What do I do for the corpus part I’m confused 😭
use your brain and your drones/moas
usually 3pm pst i think
One robot is a bomb and one is a shooter and one is a shield
Use the robot to hack or blow stuff up
Command it to rather, use the right buttons
The other two are just for defense
"oh boy, I love puzzles!"
Lmao
;-;
It kinda tells you the basics of it if you pay attention when it gives you the instructions of them too
I made the mistake of not paying attention first play thru too
But figured it out after about 10 min
what r u struggling with?
The only other thing they could be struggling with is the boss
or the hacking
ive seen people take a while to realize to let it do it's own thing and not shoot it 😭
Omg yeah🤣
oh boy I love puzzle- instantly dies
Ty
I will
Try and listen to the verbals first tho, it does tell you how to beat each part
Just have to listen really
Rather implies what to do in hints used in the form of jokes sometimes
Kinda amusing
I got killed 🫣
🫂
The stalker is helping?
I really should be using plot weapons more often. Haven't used paracesus in a while
I forgot to craft it
Not enough ducats
Uh oh
Trust me, it comes in handy
When I’m finished with new war I’ll build it if I remember
It's not mandatory anymore.
Well, technically you ||get a temporary version in TNW part 3||, but building it is optional
...I hesitate to ask but why?
I think you only needed to build it for a thing in Operation: Scarlet Spear?
But since that's over
Bruh. Might as well say the xoris is optional
Do you still get anything from smashing those red crystals on Murexes in Veil Proxima?
I’m lost
Don't you get the umm... what's the thing. Called. Things to make caliban
No, you get them for clearing a Murex, but you don't need to smash the red crystal
...like what's the point then? It was such a neat part of the story, crushing the heart of the enemy ship
Just lower the ducats needed to make it, don't make it optional
I don't wanna have to lug Ballas's oversized shaving razor around. T_T
He stole it from us, not that it's his
It's the sentient slayer!
It's about as close to a mythological weapon as we're gonna get!
I'm... pretty sure the entire point of it was ||for Ballas to use it, after we bring it to him||
That was his idea perhaps but that doesn't make it his
Also, IDK what you mean by this bit
The fabled god fallen low, forging unto you a weapon who's like never existed till now, made with the melted metal of prime parts. So that you might take up arms against the most insurmountable of odds. The weapon with inate power equal to the Umbral warframe: Parascesis, the Slayer of Sentients.
Except the entire thing is just Ballas blowing smoke up your butt
As many a Greek tale featured
Didn't make it any less cool
Plugs, I'd rather it be my sword that involved the drifter than ballas's
'cause Ballas isn't fallen low, he's just faking it to try to sell you (and the Lotus) a bill of goods
we had no way of knowing that when the prolonged came out
Man, why are you determined to try and make it less cool than it is? It was the first weapon we could rank to level 40
Certainly made it feel mythical...
...now it feels less like the begining of an origin system legend and more me being dumb. Thanks a lot radiant
[Flip] this, I'm not talking to you again
At the time Paracesis was released, it was not clear that Ballas was actually running the show rather than just messing around and finding out, but by the time you finish the first third of The New War, it should be blatantly obvious.
And I'm not talking about this with the meaning of "you should have known before TNW!", just "yeah, in hindsight this is pretty obvious"
I don’t even remember getting it as something to use during the quest. Honestly they should’ve kept it as a requirement to build for the quest but maybe change the amount of ducats needed to one that isn’t insane
The evidence starts suggesting this in "The Maker" and Orphix Venom, but its not in your face like it is when you get to The New War
Paracesis grind is horrible
Not sibear grind horrible but i still don't have enough resources to spare
The most annoying part is the 5 eidolon shards tbh
and the ducats
1k ducats is a lot, but not really difficult to farm
People are still buying primed chamber and that costs almost three times as much in ducats
the most annoying part of the ducat farm is spending all that time opening relics
iirc yes, not entirely sure though, has been a loooong time since i last played
They can be, though im pretty sure it doesnt show it is until you enter the cave
Is it worth it to use the affinity booster to max railjack intrinsics
No idea how im going to though
If you want to
Some of the things you get from intrinsics have an effect outside of rj too
The exponentially scaling intrinsics are horrible
Yeah the cost scaling is... not fun
I just want to get my arbiter crewmate to join me on missions but i need quadruple of what i've already used on crew intrinsics
I never went beyond lvl 8 on any except the crew one
Some were still on 6 before I abandoned my old account I think
All the guides im looking at for intrinsic farming are either years old or need me to max out crew intrinsics
It's based on affinity gain, so just do some endless mission or smth
hoping for a void storm survival
our 3 day affinity booster + the affinity bonus from void storm
Now I want to play rj again
1999: Make Railjack great again (again)
Make railjack functional on steam deck
lol is it not already?
It breaks and slows down the whole thing to unresponsiveness after chaining a few missions
i mean it is railjack i cant be that surprised
It's more stable on switch
can affirm that as a switch player
switch optimisation is just too good (loid looks like a mop but railjack at least works)
At least something got fixed then
quite literally mop hair
all the other hair is decent too
the hex look normal
the zariman crew look normal
loid is a mop
i mean, my hair would be a mop too if i had a longgggg term sleep like he did
doubt there's any Elvive in the labs
tbh now i kinda want a hair product ad with Loid
I forgot i get milestone weapons today
Azima, zenistar or sigma&octanis?
or do i just use them as mr fodder i dont think any of these i'll end up using
Out of those three, sigma for weapon or zenistar for funny beeg sword
I have no plat and i shall get none (no beeg sword
)
sword and shield it is then (i will probably sell it later for the free slot and mr)
I don't think you can sell milestone weapons
They can be sold for credits accidentally
The bp for them are sold at si aris once unlocked though
Testing out sigma & oct
Its ok, but i wouldnt use it even in duviri
Free weapon slot is a free weapon slot though
do you guys think the proto skana will be a standalone weapon or a skin
Skin
Sigma is pretty fun, shame that Argo & Vel does the "thrown shield" gimmick better and the finisher dmg just isn't that great on S&S
Sigma is still the best looking s&s
we could have had one in Styanax for a spear and shield
not implying Styanax is bad in any way, far from it
Railjack intrinsic farming is so fun, 30+ minutes to get 100 intrinsics in a void storm survival which is barely enough to get a single upgrade that isn't even the last one
Just 2000 more to go and i can throw railjack away for everything except liches
Okay we need the blooddebt mods for exalteds before we get another melee exaltedm
This is not the fastest way to farm intrinsics. It's to do R-9 cloud.
I havent even unlocked that or any of the other nodes there its painful
Wait why?
Did you only do the tier 1 missions or something?
Cuz If you are just doing the lowest tier survival void storm I can see why you hate it.
no i just havent done veil
Why
Yeah why still?
Ive done everything railjack up to pluto but not veil because i love railjack
You literally will get more intrinsics.
It gives you the best RJ parts
Like doing Surival in RJ isn't the way to get intrinsics.
with multiple affinity boosters stacked its ok
Also wasnt r-9 cloud nerfed or was it a different node
RJ parts i dont care about its just intrinsics
ah ok so r-9 cloud is my next destination then
I mean tier 3 RJ parts are 220 Endo each.
But shRug.
RJ is the all-around farm, not really good at anything in particualr
It for me is still the best Endo farm.
All the other ways suck so bad.
Pre-made Vodyanoi
but what if no endo farming frame
You don't have Nekros? You want that for all kinds of farming anyway
i can count 3 of them but
@warm anvil I just finished newwar, why she kinda bad tho
i am truly now embodying warframe grinding experience
railjack grind to optimise the profit taker grind to optimise the eidolon grind
to optimise the operator/drifter setup
to optimise void angel grind
to optimise zariman crew standing grind to optimise operator/drifter setup again
i think there was a different endgoal but i forgot
Congratulations, you won Warframe
thats what margulus looked like
This is youth speak for having a great thirst
Looks edible
Now I see why Dallas wanted her
I bought the skin because I thought her face needed fresh air
Wearing a helmet 24/7 is bad
I picked Lotus since the outfit looked cool lol
I swap the outfit she uses every now and then
Just remembered about holo-lotus when space mom went missing
Will we ever get it as a skin? Probably not
That isn't fun
Never said it was
Yee
Are Fragments and Children Sentients the same
i kinda wish we could choose our mission detail giver, imagine instead of Lotus we could have Major Neci Rusalka telling us what to do
or any of the protoframes
my personal favorite skin atm for Lotus is Natah though. kinda feel like thats who she's supposed to be? like her true original nature accepted by the player imo
That’s fair
Ikr
Wall
What even was that thing...
Other than a big wall
Yes I played the quest I just don't know much lore on MITW/The Indifference
Man in a wall
Lol...
Warframe's Eldrich god (think chthulu)
The closest thing we have to the malevolent will of the void. That which would tear reality apart for mere understanding and amusement. The Great Indifference.
Yeah... Cthulhu gives me nightmares but not as much as Nyarlathotep of course Nyarlathotep is now an anime girl so....
Rap Tap Tap
And his old man version
Man in the wall, but if your Drifter or operator is a man, then your doppelganger is a Wall in a Man
Wut
Is that from 1999 demo
Whispers
i think the Indifference kinda latches onto whatever it comes across, and if that thing is superior in a way it learns from it and copies it on a surface level, and if its superior than it it gets destroyed.
like an imperfect copy that feels uncanny valley'ish
realistic enough yet imperfect at a degree where we're naturally creeped out,
like how our doppelganger has the weird creepy eyes and grin
the Indifference doesnt get the more nuanced aspects of what it learns from
example, the Cavia. yes, they gained speech and human intelligence, yet at the same time it must be horrible to live an animal life and suddenly, BLAM, human intelligence. having to rethink your entire life up to that point
To think of it in human terms, in human experience is the first mistake. It does not view things as we do, on a fundamental level
which is i think a more human nuance aspect that the indifference doesnt get
to put it simply, it sees the blocks of which a building is made, but doesnt see the cement holding it together
the blocks of knowledge without the cement that is the nuance
🤔
i think something like dat
Idk about whatever but it can latch on to people or groups of people ir seems. It's power is limited in someway cuz Rell held him down for over 1000 years.
Ballas opening a giant void made him more active though.
Explain sight to the blind, sound to the deaf. The real world to those in a coma. Such wonderful sensations that the Indifference struggles to comprehend and in its first taste, the desperate hunger lets it comprehend all you take for granted in your understanding, and more...
i see it as before there was just a tiny nozzle of a hole for the Indifference to peek through, that Rell held locked up, but Ballas decided "YOLO" and decided to not only remove the door, but bulldoze the walls keeping the Indifference out of our world
as for this that is
unknowingly of course, as his goal was to go to tau
but still, he did a oopsie
Existence is intoxicating to that which comes from terrible unreality
Lets not post quotes here with swearing, thank you.
Oh, I guess it's because of the Tagfer quote XD
Whoopsie
Can't quote Tagfer, can't quote Varzia...
magic stuff happens when you meet a Wall
You can quote them in game.
he wants to taste, see, hear and smell, and he's making it our problem
my face met a wall once, it was a rather rude wall as it broke my nose
clearly your wall was specced to be a mage, whereas mine was to be a barbarian
Did Wally push you into it
Explain to a child of 2 why stepping on those gross ants is a problem. It will pour its oceanself through the garden hose as much as possible. Destroying the hose all together would be preferable if it was allowed to flow as free as it liked. Nevermind how the garden of reality would fair should the sea of void flood it...
It is a being in which to even begin to comprehend it will drive you to madness as much as albrecht has. The words you'd use would begin to sound like gibberish unless you had the same understanding
The Voidtongue
Varzia doesn't swear though I thought?
She does, when she talks about her headache in her intro
This would probably make for an interesting anecdotal story.... popcorn now or later 😛
headbutt the wall to establish dominance
So.... 🎵 You fought the wall, and the wall... won.... 🎵
Hit wall if you must, break facenose you will....
Kidding aside... hope you've recovered
🎵 wall am be angerous now, it throwing wall at me, hit nose and it do hurt me, wall strong, im not 🎵
do love me some altered Dethklok lyrics
lol
'd hundred percent play that riff on my 8 string guitar rn, but its midnight
and i'd be waking up the whole block with how heavy the riff is
jokes on that wall, house got demolished as there's something new gonna be built there, yet i am still here, 2-1 for me
There ya go.... you showed that wall who's BOSS!!!
anyway back on topic.
anyone know what role the vessels will play?
or educated guess?
i'd like to think they're eventually gonna be gundam sized custom warframes
Pretty sure that's a model he never got to finish
then there are finished models, and there's a possibility that Loid and the Cavia could finish a model
doubt they're doing nothing at this time
This actually might take on a whole different direction... Something like you find out there's a greater evil and the entire time Albrecht was preparing for that showdown... just a thought
i mean.... thats what he was working towards when finding Wally in hte first place no?
True... Wally could just be a nuisance that he is.... but, like there's something far worse, from Tau
From the looks of things it’s a bit more like “we have transference at home”, something like the Animus from the Assassin’s Creed movie
He was going to complete it but then he had to flee to 1999
also, another point
there's two damage types that do not have a frame able to do those types of damage with abilities yet
Why was he making them exactly... i can't recall any details
we dont have a Gas damage frame
and we dont have anything doing Tau damage
i'd imagine if they didnt use Tau damage with Caliban then they're saving it for a distant update where we actually get to go explore Tau
Lavos' doing a combo on gas?
But not what you meant, i know
i mean Lavos can do literally anything but Void and Tau
It was Loid who pointed out the singular attributes of the Gray Strain. How it stimulates growth to monstrous dimensions. Many thoughts converged on me then. What if, through precise biochemical engineering, I could create the equivalents of warframes, yet built to a titanic scale? Surely such a legion could stand against the Adversary… assuming, of course, that an Operator could be found.
Not long after, the first of my Vessels took form. A giant to battle giants, merging the humanity of the man Arthur, the anatomical perfection of Ballas' warframes, and the titanic potency of the Gray Strain. My saviours.
Kaijus... from Tau
Would be crazy ngl
I wanna see a Vessel vs a Giant Wall man in a proper fight we got robbed last time
I wonder what’ll happen to Albrechts plan after 1999
i mean, the Vessels are big, but they arent Deimos Fass and Vome worm big
Cause he originally wanted the Operator to pilot them and fight Wally
But now Idk how that’s going to work lol
An Operator
power rangers style, each of the protoframes combining their new warframe bodies to form the Omniframe!
Yeah but Infested fear the Void
and with the power of friendship and anime, they shall defeat their enemies
Megazord frame would go hard
Or Voltron frame
That almost certainly not gonna happen
So it's like there's something very very powerful, and ultimately evil bad, lurking in the void...
Not in any practical manner
Better yet, it would be awesome if Albrecht made us like a super charged Warframe that literally has cosmic abilities
Please DE make it happen
Caller: "In case whatever – whoever – the Infested seem so very, very afraid of doesn't stop here."
doesnt Nova already mess with antimatter?
LOL right now, we're like the Silver Surfer fighting Galactus... so Albrecht's just giving us a Hulkbuster (yes i mixed them up purposely)
LOL
We was given a hulkbuster and turned it into an emotionbuster
Kindaa but I’m talking something like the Thor Buster. Literally kitted out with absurd magical powers and what not
The Thor Buster in the comics was insanely op lol
personally am excited by two teased frames
The spider 1?
ye that one too
And Cyte-09
especially if it's passive is crawling along walls and it counting as a wall latch
would finally let me full send go for wall latch damage
Ehhh the Spider-Frame doesn’t look like it would fit in the game
Or using the legs as exalted melee
And idk if those rumors are actually true
i doubt the spider'y legs are the case, all other frames to date have somewhat human bodyshapes
but i'd imagine spider limbs from back
We have frames that defy physics itself
I think spider is gonna be fine
Khora
That fits more in game lol
Khora is different since Kavats exist already
But if it does actually get revealed then I wouldn’t mind it
Just say it's an weird infested side effect or ballas wanted to revive spider species
meant moreso looks wise, every frame to date had human bodyshape, just arms and legs. spider lower body like an Arachne would be waaay out there
Archons are animals
having the legs come out the frame's back would make more sense
We have an owl wolf and snake yet none exist ingame
Legs come out the spine that is
Spider Frame.... innate built in corrosive damage via web sling
Lmaoo
YES
each one still has an overal human shape where their heads are different
Tbff Steve has a track record of saying things from chat that turn out to be true lol. In the Tennocon Devshort, he mentioned someones comment about if Arthur would be datable sooo
They can straight up take the design from her
That tv show was peak Transformers
Most themes of any Warframe goes to Khora Themes: Arachnid, Huntress & Companion
You missed bdsm and crazy cat lady
Arachnid and sound wave were my favorite ngl
Understandable
Optimus Primes new design after almost dying is my favorite one lol. And second is probably Smokescreen. He was cool asf
Tbf, sound wave is pretty much always cool
Right
I thought gauss was gonna be a transformer before we got the full unveiling, was a bit bummed
Instead Grendel was and his transformation is a spicey meatball
Gotta say though, motorcycle version of arcee as a warframe would be a highly missed opportunity
Mag
Bike form could hologram your operator
Yoooo
Was too young at the time to play it, but loved the characters
Had a thought while doing Sanctuary Onslaught:
Simaris: "Do not weep for these creatures... they are immortal, they can and have faced a billion deaths. You, however, do not enjoy the protections of Synthesis. For you, failure has real-life consequences."
Simaris: "Ease your mind, Hunter. There's no conclusive evidence these data-immortals possess memory persistence. They should retain no recollection of what you've done to them."
Drifter: 😒 Duviri flashbacks
Queue simaris event with corrupted data creatures going out into the system causing chaos
....
Technocyte.....
It'd be cool if there was a Lich type that you "chose" by using the Synthesis Scanner on them
Stug
Corrupted Cephalons through data transfers instead of just direct infestation
There should be a Kuva Stug :V
Yo that new design is PEAK for Optimus.
You know, for all those Stug fans out there
Jordas Golem
I don't remember, how did Hunhow mess with Suda?
Joradas had the infestation directly on him growing, I'm talking data side virus corruption
Ah
'cause I vaguely recall it being some kind of connection that the Cephalons were worried could spread if they connected to each other
Hunhow is a sentient, they are machine for a good chunk
Sentients are basically the borg from dr.who.... as far as I know, I don't watch the show
Or the Daleks from Star Trek 😛
Wait nah I take that back...
Also to correct you there, since you did mention you don't watch the show... Borg from Star Trek.... Daleks from Dr. Who
Not a sci-fi fan? But you're missing out on some great shows....
Could also compare Sentients as the Replicators race from Stargate SG-1; Cylons from Battlestar Galactica (another example)
I've seen some stuff here and there, it's just I tend to lean heavily into fantasy types of media
Warehouse 13 and eureka were good shows
Also the 97 American zilla movie really got its teath in me with liking monster related stuff
If you liked X-Files... and haven't see it...The Fringe
¯_(ツ)_/¯
https://x.com/yu_malaya also that spider people are talking about
Corporate 3d art monkey | Journeyman Artifex | Professional Loser | INTP | Zone Plane 7 | https://t.co/3IxzKKbY7S

Only way that could work is if they gave the spider form some cool movement tech
There is tech out there for multiple leg movement animations
Wall clinging though would be interesting
wall running would be the most obvious one but i think that would mess with a lot of camera angles.
hi btw
o/
Think they could get around that by treating all surfaces like floor but the body is angled differently
What if the "leg segment" like when it spreads out, is just a stance of sorts? It's a fighting stance, and closes immediately when walking/running
If you click the link it has a disconnect anim
I'd say, melee wise, it should be fine. Should just need to prioritize newer leg anims
well longer wall latch as a passive could also be a thing for her. theres a lot of mods working off that so she could be the platform for them
Loki cries in his abyss
true
Can’t hear you cry if you’re hushed
but seeing as she's based off of spiders i see a cc and toxin based frame. with movement based around wall latch/wall run
maybe a improved version of valkyr's hook could be thrown in there
Depends on the spider she is being based off of
true
Anything from tarantula and trap door to camel and brown recluse
but i think they're gonna go with a more general array of spider specie's/ideas to make her
Jumping spiders or the huntsman spiders
Mhm
i would like a bird eater spider but at this point she would be a dmg type
the way i see it she's at least gonna be a cc. cuz of webs and stuff but because of how many specie's of spiders there is i cant rly say anything more concrete.
i think so
they like to ship updates towards mid to end of month
Webs, wall-climbing, venom, maybe a flying skill like Joro spiders...
Joro spiders are kinda cool.
- They're bright yellow
- They're the size of your hand
- They fly using silk parachutes
- They've been migrating up the East Coast of the USA for a while now
maybe. i mean. webs are a must and venom is a big 50/50 since they could be used as a support cuz of spider venom being used in medical tests
like irl
Well, they've gotta at least be biting and injecting something, right?
Maybe it can be a dual-use skill like Jade's 1
true true
Warframes already Wall Latch and Wall Run, so spiderframe is going to be able to do that regardless
yeah but having a longer duration on it could be the passive kinda like nezha and his longer slide
Like Loki?
ye that too
Loki gets 10x Wall Latch duration
maybe Spiderframe just naturally sticks to walls indefinitely
that would be a good one
Will Spiderframe drop from the third Orb Mother?
dont know
a while back they said they would do something with 3rd orb but i never saw news about it again
Hm
What if Unnamed 2024 update is a Fortuna update, with Spiderframe + Third Orb Mother + an easier way of grinding Vox Solaris standing + whatever mystery Little Duck is investigating
"Me old mate. 'Tween you and me, I ain't just here just to sell this stuff. There's... somethin' to this place. Somethin' other. I'm stickin' around 'til I crack it."
ohhh maybe.
Would kinda fit the designs style
they've been pushing a lot of qol stuff so having a quest tied to another update like that could be true
I thought it's about deck 12
Also powers wise, the frames being shown at the Tokyo game show...?
Maybe spider demon mythology?
Wouldn't mind some form of the old Tesla though :3
well on another note i've been wondering... did they skip qorvex with the prex cards?
like it doesn't have to do with anything but i like to get them and i noticed that he never got one
Not all frames get them
yeah but DE had the tendency to release each newer frame with a prex and at the time qorvex got skipped so i found it weird
Now that we have seen a lot more ennemies with mechanic like kuva spear , corpus shield, ropalolyst, fragmented,etc...
How do you guys feel about this ? Like ennemies with more mechanic and that we could say have their own difficulty.
Is it good? Bad? Ennemies that punish you for not playing the game
I mean I love them and the upcoming 1999 seems to actually make more ennemies with mechanic
Well i like it cuz it combat's bot spamming but after 24+ hours it gets stale all the same
Maybe plans for infestation is to make them difficult through unit that could disrupt the transference like how it is done with the end of 1999 a battle of mind against the hivemind would be wild
I love the angels but they're not difficult unless it's eda lmaooo
Angels design wise are the best ennemies currently iirc
I hope they will try more with it
I'm generally fine with it if it's within reasonable accessibility, those owl sentients have invincibility until you destroy the jars on their waists. I can get those jars popped with the gun scythe easy peasy, but say if launcher type weapons didn't recognize them as damage targets I'd say it's bad design.
Having new mechanics does keep it fresh so i cant rly complain
Honestly though, a mechanic that glomps enemies together to make upgraded or mini boss types would be cool
I'm amazed by the fact that this unit is supposed to be fought with grenade launcher or aoe weapon bcz it make sense to destroy a lot of things at the same time with bombs (like sabotage mission) but not on this mob line wtf 😭😭😭
Yea the gun scythe is my go to melee for archons and it deals with them easy
Thank God they redeemed themselves by not currently focusing on sentient bcz damn the uproar of the community would be wild lmaooo
Like I fear that they wouldn't make good ennemy design with sentient unit but rather the most annoying one
Honestly the sentient and infested are two sides of the same coin, both consume things around them to grow itself
More fused sentients with normal enemies could well be a path for new types
Like ballas
Eehhhh, that only applies to praghasa and only because she got severely damaged
They act like how nano machines are depicted in the darker sense: eat, break down, build, repeat
Now that I think about it : de didn't see much infested units in 1999 ?
I mean we got the reskinned ancient (only attack tho) an, reskinned normal unit and the tiny kamikaze ?
I hope that they will put more units like the thrashe r as mini boss
Also the Warframe*
Maybe the mouth Warframe spawner will be a mini boss ? That's actually rather strange that they shown a lot more scaldra and not infestation, maybe they will add more infested ennemies ? I really hope so 🙏🙏
Reskined phorid but has a tank on it
A city lephatis boss fight would be baller
Yeah, iirc infestation in 1999 got a literal stadium with infested growth on it, maybe there will be interesting thing from it like a hard gamemode?
Really 1999 sounds like it's on the path of being the hardest Warframe gamemode and I kinda hope so
I can see it as some kinda Kela de Tham boss fight situation
Dropping the whole fanmade wiki page is hardly evidence
Cite a specific piece
Actually wild that 1999 announced likely 3 boss fight
It's a very big step into the ennemie's troop and will feel fresh I feel
They were made as Terraphormers, they were meant to eat everything and repurpose it
Pause. Youve thrown in additional things based on your own idea of what being a "terraformer" means
"Eating everything" is not a critical part of terraforming
Hell, it could also not be a part of terraforming
Thought before that there should be a spider-themed frame and now it seems there will be. Neat.
Where are they supposed to get resources if not from the system they were shuttled to? They were made to be self reliant and would not get any resources from the orokin
Oh? Was something announced recently
"Eating everything" is significantly different from "extracting resources from the locale"
From what youre saying even mining operations today is "eating everything"
A mining operation doesn't have a refinery system to make more of itself
Or expand its operations directly from the resources it gets
Tbf a spider Warframe would be op for weapon buffing as there will be likely infinite wall latching.
And wall latching has one arcane that buff every damage to 300% iirc 😭😭😭
Also there's mod that buff a ton c.c and status change from wall latching
Wall latching Warframe would maybe destroy the game bcz well likely the Warframe would just be too comfy, maybe even creating wall to wall latch
The orokin were creaters of biological machines and the sentient were just that, even given some small form of sentience to self regulate and govern over its hive
Sentients... arent biological
So we can understand why spider Warframe can't exist unless they buff the DMG of everything to the roof to compensate
Organic in look yes, but biological? No
Except thats still not "eating everything"
I wonder if Tau's sentient have a very big different design from the known one
The sentient ability to grow, build, replicate is independent from "eating everything" and as such normal resource extractions would already suffice
The Sentients are described as being highly adaptable, being able to change and morph their bodies in order to withstand whatever damage they take. However, they are easily damaged by Void energy, which is presumed to render them sterile, and clears away whatever adaption they have made.
The only Sentient that even has any relation to consuming resources is Praghasa
Ok, nothing here makes them 1)biological and 2) makes them "eat everything"
key being they can be sterilized
Sterilized isn't meant as exact language here
Like sentients dont even reproduce like normal organic beings
And also wasn't even an intended consequence
And im not even talking male female gamete shtick
Natah was literally "lifted from the manifold"
They joked (positively) about a spider frame on the latest Dev Short. That's about it as far as evidence
Please DE make a spider frame and I make them able to benefit from the wall latch mod
Aw thats it?
what did they mean by that
3D print a child I guess?

Vague unproven thoughts would suggest that sentient sterility is linked to their exposure to the void as some matter of being unable to generate a new "self" to make a new sentient
i remember i read in a synthesis story that sentients can grow from severed limbs
idk if that how lotus popped out
If sentient are sentient does that mean that the void somehow made void manifestation from natah ? I mean maybe the lotus eater will explore more about this
One thing that would be wild is that if somehow the lotus know about minn lmaoo
We've been told how natah came out, via "lifted from the manifold" not via split limbs
Guh?
They do use terms directly linked with parent/offspring relationships, in addition to having two parents. With Natah and Erra's father being Hunhow and the mother Praghasa.
Additionally "Sentient life" is referred to in Caliban's description.
Combine this with the birthing pools on the Murex, the biological nature of the ships and units, and them being referred to as organisms several times it does stand to reason that they are a similar nature to our Warframes themselves, being a sort of biological machines, which also makes sense with them being made to have a kill switch, described as the void being poisonous to them instead of a self destruct protocol
It also would make sense with the nature of the two Sentient Warframes being able to exist at all that Sentients are at least somewhat biological in nature, and we've seen them grafted onto other organics in the amalgams
you say that as if the infestation isnt known to be able to affect robotics
and grineer have cybernetic augmentation which also makes grafting robotic sentients into living beings also totally normal
Also that looking organic suggests that they are organic
bio to bio and synth to synth arent the only possible interfaces
Organic designs =/= biological
Its not a question of if the sentients are counted as "life" or what not
Its a question if they are actually bio-machines
Adam and eve from nier automata look biological, but are machine lifeforms, not bio-machines. They just have an extremely organic design
Additionally "biological nature" of the ships and units? Wouldnt that be a circular argument?
The sentients are biological because of their biological nature
They are purely mechanical but imitate lifeforms
Okay, ill ratio myself first. the wiki calls them an artificial race
Lets break this down:
Parent offspring relationships are not an inherently biological thing, especially in the realm of science-fiction
Life is also not inherently biological, again especially in the realm of sci-fi.
For an example for both I turn to Data from star trek, where a significant chunk of Data's character arc is about him being alive despite being a mechanical life form, coupled with found family in the crew of the Enterprise and real family in his maker and his brother Lore.
The birthing pools on the murex... dont really indicate any sense of "biological" especially since it appears that the sentients drones form out of the liquid. Like uh, good like extracting "biological" out of that
"Biological nature of ships and units" at this point you appear to be conflating their organic design with them being biological
The void being poison to them instead of a kill switch is less to do with them being biological and more to do with "which makes a better story? Funky place hurts them or they can just be terminated with a press of a button?"
Rev is infused with eidolon energy rev isnt like caliban which is an actual fusion of sentient and warframe parts. But even then as mentioned, grafting non-biological bits isnt a new thing to warframe at all
Before you ratio yourself check if thats a quote from the game or just a wiki summary
Wiki doesnt say the word mechanical at all. It was just my understanding that, unlike the corpus, this was a purely artificial faction. I mean, they form themselves out of goo. But it says they have biology so...
🤷♂️
didnt the orokin use bioengineered things for like everything?
Like can a sentient make a void manifestation like how yonta has skittergirl?
Sentients are said to have Oro but we don't know if that's the deciding factor.
Yeah feels like this will be answered in lotus eater ngl
When she met him it must have been a wild ride ngl
I understand now why rebb said this will be more spiritual lmaoo
If oro can be assumed to be a matter of consciousness, then it wouldnt be a deciding factor
Again, please, check if its supported by in-game quotes or if its just something someone just wrote down in the wiki
Im just gonna say in game they're refered to as self-replicating machines and leave it at that
Like just because the wiki decided to have a section titled "biology" doesnt mean that the sentients are actually biological in nature
just gonna say they originally came from machines. The Archemedian Perintol made the machine that would result in what we know as Sentients today
Hail the First Starfish
A new projection, that of Executor Tuvul ballooned into the space, “It looks harmless.”
“Harmless?” Ballas boomed in Tuvul’s direction. He turned to the center of the dome, “Show them.”
On command, the guards backed away from the cart and readied their weapons. Their leader took careful aim and fired a whisper round into the body of my creation. Two of the limbs tore off the frame revealing a glossy, gelatinous interior.
Silence gripped the dome as Tuvul shook his head. Then suddenly, the creature moved, convulsed, the hard surface started undulating. In a moment the wound closed and the thing was whole again. Beside it another machine had grown from its severed parts. Their surfaces had changed however - brighter, harder, resilient to whisper rounds now.
Ballas looked triumphant as voting lights began to appear on the judgement disc.
My green death was coming, so I roared at them, “Did our ancestors, burned by fire, reject its power? No. They conquered their fear and learned to control it. The Seven Principles are a joke.”
His projection swooped down to me, “The Orokin is the law and the law is the Orokin. We are unbending. Your appeal is denied.”
Tuvul interrupted, “Our laws are sacred but do not forget The Plan, Ballas.” His visage turned down to me, “Countless other ventures have failed The Plan, how will this machine fulfill its design?”
I tried to catch my breath and speak, “The crossing to the Tau system is perilous. Adaptation and replication are the only way a terraforming journey can be made. They will build an interstellar rail as they travel, they will adapt to the host planet and prepare it for our arrival. They will save you.”
Tuvul peered down at me, “And when it completes its task, what will prevent it from turning against us, as the Seven Principles say?”
“The flaw.”
Tuvul’s eyes narrowed, “The flaw?”
“The Void is poison to them. Once they have reached Tau they will be marooned there. To travel the rail here would destroy them. Whatever the risks, the Origin system will be-”
Ballas shouted, “Enough! Dereliction of the law threatens the entire empire. Which one of you will risk this?” Ballas was growing increasingly frustrated.
“The empire is already at risk,” cried the shrill voice of another Executor, “Or perhaps you haven’t noticed from your cozy position on Mars.” To this there was a round of applause and the judgement disk remained unchanged.
“Ballas, you lack consensus.” shouted Executor Tuvul.
His projection seemed to shrink smaller until he finally broke his silence, “Archimedian Perintol, against my better judgement,” his disgust was palpable, “Your appeal has been accepted. You are free to go.”```
An exerpt from the Detron Crewman Sythesis imprint held by Cephalon Symaris
So, both machine and creature
One might say... a Robot
That which is machine but imitates life
I think, depending on your definition of "life", Sentients could be said to be living (they have complex consciousness, and the lore/story certainly treats them as living characters), but there's still no indication one way or the other if they are biological.
I would say the term "lifelike" describes them well
Jean Luc Picard didnt fight in court for non-biological lifeforms to not be called life
Well yeah that's what I meant. Current common scientific definitions restrict life to biology but we can be more philosophical than that, especially in Warframe.
And so if we say that Sentients are indeed "alive" then I would say "life-like" is not actually an applicable term, since it implies the absense (and merely facsimile) of life.
As Bau and I are saying, we are free to define "alive" in a way that is inclusive of the Sentients
They do not occur naturally. they reproduces asexually. I'd say they'd have the same problem being defined as alive as scientists have trouble defining a virus as alive...
Look what you made me do. I sound like one of the Orokin
Lots of animals and other forms of biological life reproduce asexually. That's not really part of the definition at all.
I mean "occuring naturally" shouldnt be a part of the definition either
They do not need sustinence
afaik neither do warframes, yet theyre biological in nature
In the exerpt I provided, which is in the game, Executor Tuvul refered to the Sentient as a Machine
The biological definition of life (this is a general consensus, not a law of science) requires 6 things:
- Metabolism
- Growth
- Reproduction
- Homeostasis
- Response to stimuli
- Composed of cells
#6 is controversial since it's kind of self-referencing. Viruses don't do #1, 2, 4, 5, or 6, and their 3 (reproduction) also doesn't follow the normal rules.
I believe this is the best I can point to definitive canon on the matter
Sentients do have #3 and 5, and quite likely #1, 2, and 4. I would say they have a better claim at "life" than viruses do.
It was also created by a Corpus, who are adapt in mechanical design
Tuvul interrupted, “Our laws are sacred but do not forget The Plan, Ballas.” His visage turned down to me, “Countless other ventures have failed The Plan, how will this machine fulfill its design?”
If we consider the birthing pools or "manifolds", we might argue that there are some smallest building blocks to make up a sentient
Which in essence replace a cell
Warframes have an internal power source (referenced in Jade Shadows) that sustains their biological functions, so in a sense they still metabolise.
I feel like im talking about cannon and you two are debating qualifications
It's true that in canon Sentients are called machines. That's not in dispute. What we're discussing is whether a machine can be alive. There are compelling points to be made.
In that manner... No. But they can be Sentient. Not being alive doesnt mean they cant be a Sovreign being
Yeah, I agree. And I personally think the "cell" thing shouldn't be a requirement for life, especially if we're discussing more exotic forms of existence like the Sentients.
They are/not alive in the same way Void angels are/not alive
Oh wikipedia is saying there's a 7th requirement for life: adaptation. I think we all know that the Sentients exhibit this in spades (as do viruses).
viruses can not exist without a host though.
Well now that's an interesting comparison. As we know, Void Angels derive ultimately from living beings.
or rather
Void Angels definitely aren't alive
They do. They're called virions and they can be quite stable in certain conditions.
they can not exhibit lifelike qualifications without a host
More of derived from dead beings derived from living beings
yes, I was correcting myself
Or derived from consciousnesses of dead beings
They're derived from the quantum philisophical/psychological residue of living/dead beings
Void Angels "feed" (it's the thing they're most known for), they move towards stimuli, they grow (the Void corruption seems to accrete or agglomerate and some of the Void Angels are quite large), they reproduce (in the same sense as viruses do, dependent on other organisms). There's also the argument to make that they're alive.
They're made of energy though. energy itself can not be alive
I mean not to be needlessly philosophical but like, what does it mean to be living in the context of Warframe? What is the usefulness of having these definitions? When we're discussing lore I think it makes much more sense to focus on a division like agent vs object, or something that can tell us something meaningful about the characters we're talking about. What does it matter if we say a Sentient is alive or not? They're still very important to the overall story and their general capabilities as a people are fairly well understood.
That sounded more rant-like than I meant
I mean, the consensus definition of life doesnt say "cant be energy"
Obviously I'm not trying to shut down this discussion, I guess I just wanted to give my 2 cents on the matter.
Hiiiiiii #spoiler-chat
hiiiii
so then is wally alive?
maybe
It all stemmed from a discussion on if sentients are biological, which somehow spilled into if sentients are "alive"
See this is kinda what I'm saying. What would we conclude if we say that Wally is alive or not?
Everything that can be treated as being "alive" should be... Is my view honestly
Yeah well, my answer to that comparatively simple question is that we don't know one way or the other. I lean probably not but it would actually be cool if yes.
Yeah I that's how I tend to treat things in video games and other lore stuff. Like zombies are dead but for all intents and purposes can be treated as if they're alive.
Two notable examples of non-human intelligence
Also... Hot take but a 1999 skin for the helminth charger would be cute
Eh, Im with you on the general point, but exos are still human
Like literally "human but metal"
Yeah that's a lore thing correct?
They're kind of robots but also not robots?
Haven't dug into the lore in ages
It doesn't have a consciousness as one might think as human or animal or instinct. It is "mindless" reaction to stimuli
I will settle for armor if not a skin
Mechanical bodies, but for all intents and purposes they are human
if were going back to this topic with the sentients, i do want to point out hunhow natah and erra
The sentients would be more akin to the Vex
They cannot for a moment consider themselves as not human or else they will literally die
Not human. Sentient
Natah--
Exos are human. This isnt something that is debateble on Destiny's end
The dying part is new to me. I thought they'd just lose themselves in thier assumed identity
No, if they in anyway consciously or subconsciously are convinced they arent human they will suffer from DER, which kills them
The first batch of exos died because of this
Der?
As such exos breathe even if they dont need oxygen
Oh, we're not talking sentients
Anyway
The sentients are a race but not a lifeform
Agreed?
Dissociative Exomind Rejection
Oh god...
I dont think me or gray would agree
You disagree with cannon classification then, and if you can't go by cannon for fictional beings, you may as well make up whatever rules you like
???
Just because the lore states that they are machines doesnt preclude that they are lifeforms???
Hey, thesaurus... what are Bauberries?
Like those are two different things
Like this isnt even "disagreeing with cannon" this is
"Whatever you are talking about, we arent"
If you're not talking about it, then why are you agreeing/disagreeing?
Genuine question. Cause if you and I are not talking about it right now, these are some bizarrely coincidental posts
Because what we were talking about is what constitutes as alive, which already moved long past the "thems machines" bit. Your consideration of "are they lifeforms" appear thus far to be tied to the idea that they are machines and thus cannot be lifeforms. However me and gray have already gone beyond that, because being a machine doesnt preclude being a lifeform
And so when you run on the base of "machine = not lifeform" we cant agree, because thats already been rejected in the prior discussion before we've already moved on
Yes, canon says Sentients are machines. Canon does not say Sentients aren't alive.
Canon also does drop the words "Sentient life" wrt caliban
Yeah I was a bit too quick and glib. I really would say canon points more towards Sentients being alive but it's not quick and clean. Caliban's description is a good point though.
Glib?
I am the globgoglabgulab

Was it confirmed that the Infested Adversaries are just the members of OnLyne? Because it’s weird that Sisters and Kuva Liches are randomly-generated and thus potentially infinite, but the Infested only have 5 potential threats to deal with?
Sort of they literally are on a stage in the same order the band were in with the bands music plus the fan page shows human then infested if you press it again
Oh, no, there’s no doubt they’re infested, I’m just saying they might not be the Liches themselves, because there’s less… longevity I guess? Like, once you kill all 5 of them, wouldn’t that be the end? Unless they have something like “each of them are their own hive mind and you just happened to kill one body out of thousands”
They were on screen and Reb said "Infested Liches confirmed"
I agree that we could use more information because it is confusing
Something else is that the Kuva Liches and Sisters feel a lot more personal, and they have funny names too
My personal theory (that’s probably already debunked with the evidence we’ve got) is that the Infested Liches are actually fangirls and whatnot
Infested Liches are going to be band members they could have it where new people try to join and get infected
Only 5 canon Infested Liches vs hundreds of Kuva Liches and Sisters of Parvos? weird
There will probably be more people
Maybe it’s so that each member is a level? Like, if you fail your Requiem repeatedly, the Sister/Lich levels up, but for the Coda, maybe you start off fighting Zeke, and then when you fail, you have to now deal with two members at the same time (but ultimately your target is Zeke)
Ill simply say that not being a lifeform does not mean you cant be an inteligent being
Oh that's very interesting. I like that. It matches with the 5 band members and the 5 levels a lich can have.
Sure, but thats another separate thing
Remember the part of the demo where the screens with thier pictures get shot? ...Thats how you choose who to fight. Just shoot who you want to face. Shoot all of them for the entire group
An exo with 4 arms was told to move the extra set of arms
D.C.] //Please move each arm. Individually.//
[P103] I… can't. I can't. I can't. What's— not mine. What's. Get them off! Off! (screaming)
[C.B.] It would appear they're on the verge of a psychotic break.
(metal tearing) (screaming)
give the exo 4 toy lightsabers and tell him he's general grevious
Is there anything that affects how enemies are split in half
This isnt for nekros desecration efficiency or anything i just want to split things vertically
Globglogabgalab*
I show up and we're talking Destiny lore
Slash damage is what causes them to be split in half, not sure if there’s a way to decide how the parts are divided
i think i've only ever seen them be cut horizontally
would really like to get that satisfying vertical split on a poor grineer though
I do remember vertical splits at one point but nowadays there are so many effects i cant really tell
DE could have removed vertical splits for all i know and i would never notice
I really hope that Lotus eater would actually confirm if Sentient can actually make somehow void manifestation
I mean, imagine if Praghasa somehow made a void manifestation lmao (well currently only lotus is to be known)
They can’t create a void manifestation though they are literally allergic to the Void
Tehnical suports link didnt work i cant creath Ticket to ask a question what i can do then ??

just not opened SingIn............. on web site
If you're on a VPN you may need to turn it off, I'm not sure why the support site isn't keeping you logged in when it absolutely should.
Is it confirmed tho ?
I thought the void just sterilized sentients and took away thier adaptation. Shouldn't they still be able to be in it?
Stay in it too long they will die
Somehow lotus survived lmao
Maybe she is just better than every sentient at this rate
When exactly did she manifest? It's been a while
In terms of known feats she is the strongest
She didn’t manifest any Void powers or anything like that
Better handle on her emotions
Idk, i kinda hope that Lotus eater confirm everything about how sentient interact with void
It's wild also that the cover art is putting her in the literal domain of MITW
Like girl
It's the void 😭 ????
She hid the moon in the void as far as we’re aware she’s one of the strongest characters in the game
Maybe this is where she met him ? Bcz ropalolyst fight talk about her meeting him
In a pod
It's gonna be what splits the drifter and operator, allowing them to act independently if they so choose
Ik she was in her safe space but she still hid a whole moon in the void
That was with orokin technology, not something she did all by herself
She pressed a button all by herself
she put the moon in the square hole
She is canonically weakened by contact with the Void
Living on in the Void might hurt a bit but isn’t too bad
Thrown in basically killed her
Maybe
Lotus eater being focused on Drifter/tenno/lotus means that it will actually explain how Drifter got his hand back (likely void healing as said by Teshin) and zariman>Ordis>The drifter base on earth
wild that his hand or literal arm got literally destroyed bcz of lotus 😭
It's probably what the hell lotus did during and after whispers in the walls
Yeah, the cover art is wild with the implication ngl
Lotus can be a really bad space mom sometimes when she's there for us she's THERE but still she can neglect us at times T_T
One question that lotus eater will explain is :
Did she really see nothing at the end of TNW ? Didnt she already met him confirmed by ropalolyst fight ?
Like i imagine that sentient have very much different vision than us so maybe it's a literal blank of nothingness she saw ?
Oh yeah mtw might be invisible to lotus making us look more schizophrenic
Ah yes, lotus saw a child that look schizophrenic and she said : "Oh yeah they're cute"
Because we are quirky 🤪
She saw someone about to be used by the orokin and thrown away afterwards. She empathize. After all, what use is there for a superweapon after the threats are gone? You dismantle them...
If only that were true we wouldn’t have nuclear warheads everywhere 😭
I didn't know you had to equip the lens to get focus for weeks after I unlocked the operator.
That's a big WELP
Slap on those lenses into everything... weapons, warframes...
Yeah I'm going to research some more about them. I didn't even know you could put them on weapons lol
Getting lenses is a bit of a pain until you get to Angels and Whispers.
Then you've got Greater Lenses coming out your ears.
Yup... true... Cetus bounties also drop lenses iirc.
But the great thing is, just being able to start with what you have.... and then you can replace/upgrade that with another on your most used frame/weapon etc.
And you can buy them if your minted
By midgame, you'll be earning them from bounties by the handful....
as in MR30?
No just maduri tree I have like so much stuff until I'm a m.r 30-34
ick, that sucks...
A mother?
Warframe gives you a sister and a brother at R5 Entrati standing
Dont forget you can adopt your own sister by getting into a friendly conversation with mr. parvos
We are older technically than our space mother
A whole new family
@rich crater @plush swan have you guys completed New War?
Not yet I'm still at the War Within. I keep getting distracted with relics and open world stuff to do the main quests.
I'm aware of the plot through later in the story though
ahh ok
On Eleanor there's a bit of text on her thigh and on her tassel bit, is anyone able to translate it from what we see here?
Yes
IIRC, I completed it the day it came out
Ahh so you're all up to date, nice....
i completed it too
sound off. hwho gave iin and bought a necramech?
I bought two
how bad is the grind for Bonewidow?
So bad that you won't want to spend another second on deimos afterwards
But it's worth it for melee mech if you don't buy it and access to almost all the mech mods
I only farmed for Voidrig (read somewhere that the Voidrig was a better option than Bonewidow).... Tough grind, but well worth it... came close to giving up and just purchasing it, but glad I stuck to farming for it...
Only way to know what is better than something else is always to try both yourself
I personally use voidrig for the big free roam bosses like eidolons and bonewidow for anything else
The "anything else" is getting heavily limited by how incredibly unstable wf is on steam deck though
It's not that bad ngl
I farmed for a week for voidrig because I wasn't farmmaxxing
Main issue is ranking up with necraloid
That's so easy what
The traces
Void traces?
Also being forced to do lower tier bounties for the matrices
Do fissure cascade or smt
Yeah true
I have like 30 tier 3 matrices and nothing else
It seems like I can't do the bounties anyways because going into free roam missions risks a potential full steam deck crash, forcing me to restart the entire thing
If only I knew what triggers it
Turn off the bloom and high quality lighting settings partially turn off shadows then set ur energy platform to laptop
Although lately my pc with a 3070 is randomly freezing in Warframe forcing me to close it then to reopen via steam
I'm not running max settings this is purely an problem code wise
It's not just warframe that freezes, the entire steam deck becomes complete unresponsive to everything except the forced power off
So far it has happened in rj and free roam, maybe it can't handle large open areas?
It sounds like ram issue
Prolly deal with the power core
Since i don't think u can extend anything but ssd on sdeck
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soy01v6VriQ man, my sister was OBSESSED with these guys when i was in elementary school, and she was always mad none of her friends had ever heard of them. shoutout to DE for finally giving them the spotlight they deserve!
frrr, so glad they’re getting the recognition they deserve!
So, circling back around to ending as we began, a youtuber by the name of Pen is Evil has pointed out something that opened my mind to greater implications. In the 1999 demo, Arthur injected a coda worm into the infestation... in order to attempt to control it. Just as Alad V created the Mutalist strain which allowed the infested to control machines, now through machines can the infested be controlled. This means that the infested may not be the mindless force unleashed upon the past I thought they were. These infested may be acting with direction through software rather than indiscriminately as they did when they were purely biological in nature.
They never were purely biological
The what
I don't know much about technology
the coda worm is probably how we make the infested liches
coda worm - technocyte coda
Oh thats 100% how, even so far as Rebecca to say thats how
Oh not the argument about sentients being mechanical all over again. Look, whatever thier origins, the Infested could, originally, only majorly infect biological tissue.
And armor
But yes, that is correct
Lets go back to the idea that someone is programming the 1999 infested
