If the chest is blue it’s not locked, when I connected the lines, I shot at them, there should be a marker for the first one, so if you did that and the chest appeared, then objective was completed, for me the chest was bugged, and the open Que did not appear so I had to move around while pressing open

Duviri technically takes place at "the same time" as the New War. It can be inferenced, since the Drifter claims he may have arrived to the Plains on the Zariman, that hes either been stranded here since he was a child, or he grew up on the ship and ended up getting caught in the whole mess.

its more likely that hes grown up within the time loop, as it was already stated at the end of the quest that he created it, based on a storybook he once read as a child. It manifested in the Void out of his Fear, Sorrow, and whatever other emotions the Plains experience, with Thrax being another character within that book.

once Drifter became aware of this and regained power over the world, he gave up hat power to allow the world to function without him.

as for why it takes place at the "same time" as TNW, its because everything goes to hell when our alternate self, the Tenno, gets stabbed, and the Lotus' hand falls into Duviri (which, if you didnt know, happens during TNW).

Drifter does the quest, leaves, at some point finds Eidolon Lotus, and thats where the drifter segment of TNW begins

watch the orowyrm. explosions will go from its tail up to its head, then it was launch an orb at you. hit the orb with your weapon (gun or orvius) to destroy it so you dont get knocked off. this also makes a boost zone, so you can catch up to its body.

once close, go to its sides, some parts on its side should glow. you gotta throw the orvius at it so you can grapple. then jump grapple your way up the body, till you get to its head. then transference

For me tis update an 8/10 it lost 2 points for rng load outs and not having an exit, instead you have to gather then do a side quest

Then quit the mission, which is honestly setting up a bad habit for new players

What I think happened is that while the Drifter didn't get void powers, the void manifested the Duviri Kingdom from their fear and other emotions, perhaps as a coping mechanism with was/had happened on the Zariman. We see near the end that its a younger drifter is hunched over, on their knees and holding their head while the camera shows the dominus doll and a book of some king. Dominus and the other are probably characters from the book made alive by the thoughts of the younger Drifter.

If it's not showing on your map that's a bug. You can circle the area to see if you get dialogue, which will tell you the shrine is nearby. Might be faster to just give up and try again

And you don't have the energy economy of the Undercroft until you're quite advanced in the regular game. Without Duviri, most new players are those that never experienced actual Warframe ability based gameplay.

I’m still trying to figure out how I feel about Duviri. Overall it’s really positive though. I made a new account late last year and I realized the game takes a really long time to get into the good parts of the lore so Duviri is a great update to help address that some early on.

My impression is mostly positive. Drifter gameplay is the usual content island and the usual amount of early release jank, but I'm hopeful it'll get better over time.
And the Circuit is just great, bugs aside.

Drifter is an alternate reality version of your operator who never got rescued.

Being stuck in the void drew him to intense depression or something similar... Since the void reacts to emotion and since the Zariman was built with everything required to terraform and set up civilization, the world of Duviri came into existence.

Drifter forgot how to feel, and forgot himself. And his mind kind of developed multiple personalities like Thrax, Bombastine, etc. They were manifest to mimic a storybook Drifter had.

At the end, Drifter manages to escape because Operator helps to remind them what's going on. As Drifter learns to feel again, they gain control and can escape. But they let Thrax be king anyway cause why not.

the orvius is a great replacement for the sirocco imo, implementation is good and it hits the target.

and DE plot, as it is, for a new player it has 0 armor, operator is not a surprize anymore. teshin being dead then talking with you on the conclave console and in ANY RELAY is kinda messed-up.

4. why does my weapon need a stamina bar?
5. horse control is clunky, especially since you don't know map limits and sometimes to get outside of the cave and it's too low it just resets you.
6. no maidens?

To be fair, the operator is heavily hinted at in the opening cutscene for Vor's Prize as well. The Zariman gets spoiled early but hitting Second Dream and seeing a kid version of the drifter pop out is probably still going to be a bit of surprise.

I actually find the Kraith easier to control than Torrent, it's more the terrain and the holes being an issue than the horse being clunky.

Kraith as in the horses, I find them easier to control than Torrent (from Elden Ring)

At least on a straight path. Once you involve the holes and gaps things get messy, but it's more down to level design.
