I found the part of the Drifter's Camp where Kahl's Garrison will be according to the Devstream, and it looks like there's going to be some remodels to the area

The process is a little more complex than just turning.

The void manifestation crew woke up to Wally's words. Possibly the ones at the end of New War.

But the reliquary continues to speak to all the void manifestations. Eventually the words turn a manifestation into an angel and then the angel starts singing with the finger. The angel may wander or may turn into a dormant statue, but still continues to sing.

Eventually the whole ship was full of angels, all thirsty, wanting to drink more from the void's power and sing along.

Dormant Angels are just chilling when you wake them up, so they seem to have the ability to stay that way for at least a little longer. But the ones that start moving automatically in Armageddon are Ravenous angels.

The Dormant ones must be getting hungry ovee time until they are so hungry that they need to go to the reliquary to feed. They also seem to have lost their void plumage (drop quill instead of pinion) and their max health from the starvation.

And evidently, allowing an "angel at the end of it's life cycle" aka an "angel who has become Ravenous" to actually reach the reliquary and fully feed on it has dire consequences.

How dire? Depends on whether the endless mission structure is canon. Defense missions are canon in the sense that extraction happens at the end but if you lose you lose. Survival are canon because even if life support runs out there's enough tine for both you and the operative to leave, you only fail the mission if you fail to loot anything. Etc etc.

Armageddon is weird. You only lose if you don't defend at least one wave.

So if Armageddon is canon, it just means that the Ravenous Angel temporarily becomes too powerful and dangerous to be around. If it's not canon then it might have catastrophic consequences for the relic itself, possibly even draining it completely.

He seems very sentient (pun intended), but he couldn't have created himself, could he? I think Duviri is a seperate thing. Very different problems over there. The Drifter just kind-of knows about Narmer after all. Was it Dominus Thraxx the evil dude was called? We're seemingly trying to escape the daily loop of Duviri.

After Pazuul we'll probably see some more of Wally and perhaps learn more about his big scheme. I think he is the biggest problem, but not the immediate problem, facing our reality
