I always took it as when we make the deal in TNW we're doing it a "second time" if you will. So drifter gets his powers by agreeing to the deal further along.

So Drifter is in a position where he needs those powers, and maybe because of his tie to the void or his tie to us he's able to go back to the moment of the deal and agree to it. Which is why after everyone collapses you're holding the hand of the drifter.

It may just be that TMITW doesn't care when you agree to his deal and you can say yes any point after.

Rn i have encountered a lot of bugs in the new war and am gonna list them here cause it the game impossible to do without restarting the game a cople of times

First one is getting stuck when ur chasin the lotus

I got stuck thx to lotus cause that beam thing she does got me stuck in de middle of one of those transpotation tube things (whatever their called)

Second bug is with the railjack part that came after it the breach didn't appear one time and the other time i did appear but the omni not being there

Those are the main ones i will adress cause ur forced to restart ur game (or pc when steam desides to be annoying)

Actually, I'm going to make a guess. I think people are all expected to play by a script. When they don't play by the script they get put to death and reset. Things don't change because Thrax doesn't want them to. It could also explain some of the weird reactions to Drifter where they treat him like Thrax.
