in general lore, a requiem is a Void Magic Symbol that has weird Void Magic properties. for liches, a requiem is a mod with a symbol on it that you equip to your parazon. each lich has a "password" consisting of three different requiems. you need to learn the password, put the correct requiem mods on your parazon, and then you can kill the lich and get your stuff back.

Just curious, but how common is it for people to have their operator and drifter as basically two totally different people rather than younger and older versions of the same person?

in the small group i RP with, all four of us have our operator and drifter as basically different people. growing up as a child soldier VS growing up in an adult-free, dangerous, and alien environment would potentially make for two very different outcomes, even if the infancy-to-12-ish years were the exact same for both people. there's some parts of a person's personality that can persist even in such vastly different circumstances (someone who is very compassionate is unlikely to become a bloodthirsty killer in either universe) but a lot of stuff could be different. it's fun to explore what those differences might be.

all that said, we haven't done much RP/plotting with the drifter versions, since we have so little canon knowledge about the circumstances they came from. 😂 we're waiting for duviri and hoping it sheds some light lol

I think they meant that the two are different people entirely rather than how they are in game which is the same person with different personalities due to their experiences. In my experience, it's pretty rare and usually only happens because people are frustrated with how bad the male drifter appearances are. So they have a male Op and a female drifter. I don't think I've seen more than a half dozen people do that because they wanted to.

I'd love that! Canonically my Tenno is really really short and I've been pretty bummed that the drifters are so tall. It was really sad to me that the Drifter became an operator skin. They had so many unique skills! And they shouldn't have been able to master Void abilities just like that. Even if they finally gained that power, school master takes YEARS. They could hardly handle the Warframe xD

Plus Warframes and Operators are completely different in mobility and ability. Ops are slower and less agile and their powers can't be used on large scales like Warframes, but they have their own talents. I don't see any reason it'd be a problem. It's just like any other mechanic in the game that provides alternative options

I’ve just gone and rewatched all the Duviri trailers and it does look like it’s going to come with extra drifter options which makes me happy. Drifter has the little metal facial additions from the operator, as well as the more obvious facial hair, which gives me hope that with Duviri comes the ability to customize these things on the drifter, and hopefully other customization options too

Anything Wally has shown us or where we go touch Lotus’ helmet or whatever it may be has been more akin to astral projection, viewing actual real events that are happening, we just aren’t there

So the Zariman didn't have a Solar Rail and tried to force an exit from the Void and got stuck?

yes the zariman was built with a reliquary drive, which allows travel through the void without use of a rail.
and yes, the zariman is currently halfway in and halfway out of the void. there's a tile in the tileset that has an airlock and leads outside, and the exterior view is all void-y.
