I think it could be neat to unlock prime power
Maybe archon crystals can make any prime work like umbra?
Idek what that would entail
Or as a companion maybe?
Ehhh, I think they scrapped that idea, in like 2019 they showed off they could have done it and it was gonna be part of lua disruption or something but it just didnt happen
Archon companions would be nice
Archon companions would be interesting
But I fail to see how that’s a new system
Same with umbra sentience, that isn’t really new, more scrapped and used by one frame
I really hope it doesn’t just end up being a way to get new cosmetics for Kahl or something smh
Nah I don't think they'd do sortie tier weekly missions just for cosmetics for kahl
I’d sure hope not
Also archon hunt and kahl seem pretty separate
If it’s a weekly thing that makes me feel like it’s either a time consuming system or something powerful that you need to work toward
I’m leaning towards powerful something cause it’s warframe
but that could be equally true of a time consuming thing lol
Honestly if they let us graft archons onto prime frames i sure hope it doesn't force you into the archon helmets
If the camera is pulled back when you have an archon head I’d be fine with that
If it’s archon heads that you can put on frames then I wonder if there could be more in future updates
But we also haven’t gotten a new mech since bonewidow so idk
They JUST added a syandana that fits harrier
What one?
The titania deluxe one
Some other veilbreaker speculation:
What will the "special event" for the first weeks of styanax being out
I hope there's a special node that's something like the sevagoth part in call of the tempestarii
Which part?
Ah, that could be cool
I doubt Styanax will have to do with the quest, but if we do and we get to demo him I hope it’s throw a flashback after finding his helmet or spear and shield or something, to see where a warrior fell and then “live” that last fight
But yeah, I doubt they’ll have anything to do with the quest itself ):
I do hope we get a face for Narmer though, rn we just have a logo
I wanna know who’s leading it now
Yeah not the quest
The event Rebecca teased in that interview
The animation?
He's shipping with veilbreaker, the Kahl cosplay mode
Got hit with a Cy quote I'm fairly curious about:
"Meditation: the opposite of a small truth is a lie. The opposite of a great truth, is a great truth"
Just mulling over what that means.
Typically you don't find that the Big Things are contradicted by lies, but by other Big Things. Think about things like your personal rights to life vs society's rights. Where are the edges of both?
Aaah, I see.
My first idea was that there is no "bigger truth", that the concept in and of itself is a lie, though in hindsight that doesn't gel with it being an opposite of itself like your answer does.
It's like how scientific theory can only be disproven with another, greater theory that explains things better if that also makes sense.
Disproving a negative is similarly impossible so that's in the same kind of philosopher's madness that Cy lives in
Great Truth: In this oceanic circle of yours, where everyone is linked in some way to each other, you matter
Great Truth: In the scale of the cosmos, you are so insignificantly small
One says you matter, one says you really dont. Both are equally as true
I've been thinking about that too
Ah, when you're trying to put together a Profit Taker killing build, and wondering why you're winning, but having so much more trouble than usual. Soloing them like 3 times before you suddenly notice the icon of an Extinguished Dragon Key which cuts your damage by 75% is in the corner, and you realize you've had that equipped the whole time.
do we think veilbreaker will let us have back purple fortuna?
That would be great if some of the Veilbreaker content was us cleaning up some of the post-Narmer stuff. Purple Fortuna, maybe get rid of some of the dead Murex, etc
The Narmer bounties would be a good launching point for that. Right now they're just kinda there for Caliban and the Archon stuff. That's about it.
Cleaning up poe would be nice, it looks so ugly post nw
I actually really like both the war-torn plains and the partially-terraformed vallis
I also like aspects of both but it would be cool if it was sort of a choice you could make, like an optional quest or something
Indeed, that'd be neat
It seems that VB kind of picks back up exactly where we left off in New War, so I doubt any literal cleanup has time to happen.
But yeah code wise cleanup would be nice
My prediction of what the timeline will be for duviri
(Yes, i know it's a paradox, and completely nailing a timeline is literally impossible, but I think ya'll can get what I'm trying to get at)
Probably.
The Paradox might show parts of both 0
Does anyone have any theory’s on how the drifter is gonna escape the duviri paradox?
I have several.
In short:
-Natah's hand calls her full-self (sans hand) to the Drifter, and we reattach it to her, somehow leading to Man-in-Wall appearing and offering us a way out via the Zariman.
-We give the hand to the Man-in-Wall and ask for an exit and for the owner of the hand. We get a burnt Natah and find ourselves near/at the crashed Orbiter.
-We meet Man-in-Wall, who offers a way out with the caveats we experience when we see Drifter in New War.
-Cy figures out where Natah is, finds himself in Duviri and beats up the dragon with our Railjack before rescuing us. We come across a floating, burnt body of Natah and brign it aboard with help from the silent crewmates who're all confused about Drifter. Drops us off at Orbiter.
-Drifter draws a Lotus symbol into a wall and blasts it with the hand, opening a portal. Natah is on the other side, limbs open in a 'come here for a hug' gesture. Drifter rushes through, picks her up, and carries her into the Orbiter with Ordis being confused and jarred by the whole situation.
Thank You New War almost 20 tries + almost 4 days of wait for a 5 minute section with the necramech
at least you get mastery
i actually enjoyed the first two parts as playing as grineer and corpus
the tenshin section was boring felt like a normal mission, the other part felt like a excuse to use a older version of the operator the archons were probably the the only balanced boss fights that i ever had and the railjack sections were meh except the hiding in the debris that idk why was fun to me and finally the final battle with Ballas was pretty boring as well
You can use mech for other stuff, not just for the quests, but I do agree the section was very short
that i know the necramech stomps almost everything but having to do isolation vaults over and over + 12 hours for components + 3 days to assemble because you are forced in a 5 minute section
right at the end i was thinking that the necra would be forced to make and optional to use
the saddest part to me is finishing the new war and observing that nothing has changed gameplay wise except dress up the lotus
i was expecting some missions or one region to belong to the sentients because i am kinda bored of killed the same grineer, corpus troops with different skins
They made it easier to farm the mech, they gave you the blueprints and reduced material cost
wow it was worse before ?
Only thing i kinda dislike abt new war was the fact our op stays out their frame although evil man with a sword is right there
Yep you had to get necraloid to lvl 2 for the rig
Wasn't that bad imo, its just easier now
and that the game finds any possible chance to push you out of the warframe LOL
Yeah but his Syndicate is super easy and fast to rank up, you stock on matrixes in no time
i think i did this isolation enough to get lvl 2 easily
I mean DE could’ve tried a mini boss fight where you fight ballas then that cutscene happens
i mean most of the components were "easy" to get except the freaking pieces of the necra and necrathene + plus the electric eel
what pisses me off is that can't buy a single thing to make you are forced to do the gathering
You can trade the refined gems now
the debt bond for example i think it is a "fair" way to buy them
you need to another player for that right ?
Yea although you may be able to find someone in tc willing to sell/give some
well you either get lucky to find someone or get mastery 30......
i can already see that i have more chances farming the nidus prime neuro that trading for it
You don't need mr 30 to trade
Mr 2+ 2fa enabled minimum
isn't the bazaar where you get lvl 30 to trade or something
instead of getting lucky to find someone to trade exactly what you need ?
No
You trade at mr2
no, the MR30 console in the relays is for blessings
oh
In order to trade, you have to find a trade partner. warframe.market is where I go when I need something and don't have the time/inclination to watch trade chat.
You can also use the trade chat
There's also the platform specific trade channels here. (you can open them if you go to #757632548842111086 and react with your platform)
Maroo’s is a waste of time imo
the trade chat on my region is dead
I meant the one here, platform specific
oh ok
You need roles tho, abyss linked you to the channel
well at least you get a free statue
i still don't get what is the reward of weekly clem
Getting to see clem
I think it's the specter bps?
making a clone clem that dies to 3 normal enemies
Yea Clem spectre bp iirc
Eh. More true on switch than PC. It's pretty easy to use for PC trades
won't it change with cross play ?
Hopefully yes
People assume that but we still don’t know how a lot of things will work with crossplay
I expect it will, but we don't have a date for cross play yet
Like imagine how quickly trade chat would move if everyone was all posting in one channel together
It moves pretty quick on PC during peak hours
Trading with cross play runs into one of the big issues in value of plat, so I doubt we'll be able to trade between platforms from the get
I'm looking forward to finding out
You can use filters, would be nice to have different channels though (one for sellers, one for buyers, one for rivens) or an actual trading post in game.
Press X to doubt
Right after Wally appears and starts breakdancing
If by killing her you mean not choosing her as the final option, then sure
I wanna see that video template where someone breakdances with another watching with wally and rell
‘Twas joke
Gotta admit kinda wish I was Xbox so I could have green, it’s nice
is that the one if you lose the requiem rap battle
I think it’s the one where the grineer queens fist fight parvos for all his resources
ah
man the quick time event on that where you got to help parvos use kuva arca plasmor screwed me over so many times
It’s way too tough, I still think they should change it
they shouldve but alas we made it through anyways
ok so looks like i'm at the big choice. Operator or Drifter
It doesn’t make a difference choose who you want
yeah, i know lol
And then never speaks in-mission like the Operator. Shame too, would love to hear more of their cynical takes.
Yeah, i would have loved to hear the drifter say "My Warframe is strong"
"My Warframe is just like a horse"
"Keep talking. We're still trying to figure out how horse-like you are."
i like that my drifter is tankier than most unmodded warframes
same! they really beefed our operators up 😂 it's a pity their weapons still scale so terribly.
wait a min . . . is this the 1st time nora show her face 'nora night noggle statue'
yeah she did show her face in glassmaker
it was probably due to nihil being a direct threat and actually trying to target her though
ow well probably for people who did not participate on that event will probably get to see her now
You can still see it when playing the Nihil fight if you buy both the oubliette and the key
It was after she got glassed and showed up in the Weave. She didn't have control over her transmissions anymore (hiding her face) because she wasn't in her ship.
I was watching starrlord's video on the new war :
"The tenno struck erra with void beam on **Lua **in the old war supposedly to have killed him"
But it was in the old war.
Lua wasn't in the void in the old war, so she must have sent the moon post old war no ? Meaning that, erra was also on the moon ? Or he was rescued before ? yet i'm sure that tenno were protecting a lot Lua,meaning that no sentient could have rescued him, since it was here that they slept for 500 years.
So does that mean that veilbreaker could explain how he resisted the void ?
It might. We know the Erra cutscene wasn't near the end of the war, so Erra could have been picked up any time between then and the moon getting shunted.
But,the problem is that Lotus was literally right beside him so it must be really strange to let a sentient, knowing how powerful a sentient can be,save him.
Wait no,we haven't seen the full potential of erra i think ? We only know that he is a blacksmith to create manmade horror beyond our comprehension.
But in combat he only shoot ? I think there are missing thing from him to make us fear him, in comparison with lotus/natah/perghasa he seems to be at the back
Veilbreaker should really explain who is Erra and what happened pre-murex
He is shrouded in mystery because it's really weird. Did he meet wally? did he got saved ?
Since it was Lua and hunhow must have been on Uranus at the time... Who could have saved him? not sure that there is much sentient that can do anything against a tenno. + there is lotus who may still have been conscious of her power as a sentient.
It could be a theory that an archon could have saved him 🤔 ?
"Let me explain what you are up against, 'friend'. You see the Archons were made by my son, Erra. Hybrid abominations of the Old War... raised from the blighted battlefields where Sentient and Warframe fell." does that mean that archon are post old War or while ? 🤔
No, Humhow was right there. Thus why the cuts and takes place some unknown time before the end of the war.
so there is a chance that hunhow saved him and sent him somewhere.
Because in TNW he doesn't seems suprised that he is alive 🤔
wonder what is the reason hunhow is sitting in the bottom of the ocean
To be honest, he doesn't seems restored to his full potential to attack the tenno.
Since the old war he know how powerful they can be so getting out, while every tenno know where he is, and how to destroy him. Is not a good idea.
Even if he has a change to get out,i don't think he should do anything against us.
But well, thanks to him we saved lotus.
didnt he mention there was an actual purpose for him staying down there in the new war ?
That was about why he was still alive and around, yet doing nothing
Maybe he is just a old guy who want to help uranus's fishes
Hunhow would rock our world if he was at full potential and could get out. A whole battalion of Railjacks were doing jack to him.
True, but is he still at full potential ?
He seems to be broken tbh
wait, this dude was literally chilling in uranus's for 500 years 😮
just finished New War, and got the pistol amp. i guess it's safe to assume if i make a new one, it'll still use the pistol model?
Sirrocco (for the operator) is a skin for amps you can turn on and off. For the drifter, all amps will look like the drifter's pistol.
ah, cool. yeah, i went with Drifter
Oh um you can switch at any time and you can set the Drifter Camp to be your default like login Screen.
Or Hub as it where.
dayum mine looks like a old dude
do you want my face settings for her or nah, i can give you them
I wish the Drifter had some sort of random mission transmissions like the Operator lmao
I honestly though that erra was hunhow when i first did that quest until I realised in new war i was wrong
Would have preferred it in all honesty. Erra just doesn't hit right.
Cool design tho
DE was just in an owl-themed mood if he, Ordis and Boreal are anything to go by.
Owls are cool
I can imagine boreal snapping his head around to see a lokis’ invis wearing off and him stepping on a twig
Found the for narmer somachord

But if hunhow was in erra's role who would give drifter the nataruk
Or persuade him to fight ballas
Hunhow? It's not like he's going anywhere.
Way I see it, Hunhow could have been on-board till he notices what was happening to Natah and continue sulking on Uranus during the Narmer take over.
Then again, we would miss out on him doing his Dissapointed Dad™️ bit, and that was hilarious.
Which mission is best to farm for Khora Systems ?.
Prime or regular?
If Hunhow wasn’t where he was we wouldn’t be able to defeat the archons, I could see an alternative being maybe Stalker being the one who gives us Nataruk since they help us anyway, plus more character for him coulda been nice
My idea doesn't preclude him from being stuck on Uranus or giving us Naturak - he doesn't need to move to be in cahoots with Ballas. Once the Tenno are gone and Ballas does his thing, then he can simmer about his goals being thwarted by this blue narcissist.
Either that or, you know, give Erras arc more space to grow than once scene near the finale.
Imagine if he is the head of narmer, that would be a weird twist
Erra shoulda had more, I agree
If not post-war than pre-war for sure
But I’m sure covid stuff got in the way so we got what tiny bits we got 🤷♀️
Mayhaps, though in that case it would have been less hassle to build off an existing character with a connection to Ballas and Lotus than rush to build a brand new guy.
Hunhow is the Sentient after all, the "Sentient Destroyer of Worlds". He deserved the exposure.
I really hope we get some hint at to who is in charge of Narmer with veilbreaker
I still wanna know what worlds he destroyed, origin system isn’t missing any, if it’s in tau then sure
just kinda a weird title it feels like he gave himself to be scary lol
Aye, bit of a strange title in hindsight. Most he could have done is blow up a couple moons or planetoids.
Isn't the whole point that there is no one in charge anymore and every Narmer member is still blindly following the cult regardless of the dead of their leader
Nobody was in charge after Ballas directly but whoever is left is picking up the scraps, we know that much
that’s what I’ve heard anyway, and I’d rather they have some leader than be literally aimless
It would be funny if the Narmer were just following the delusions Ballas gave them through the veils. Hell, they probably still think he's alive and are just following his last orders lol
Would be fun if someone hijacked them though.
Idk why but I imagine some people still use a modified version of the veil as a sort of drug
VR (Veil Reality)
Good name for the drug lol
Yeah I'm pretty sure that's EXACTLY is what's going on
I could totally see someone in Fortuna asking for some VR
If Narmer is left to be aimless without a leader it would realistically dissolve, they’d need a binding force, someone in charge to make them formidable enough for Kahl to go after them
"Hey glint, you uh, got any of that VR stuff"
"20 Medical Debt bonds and it's yours, mate"
Plus SOMEONE put the archon head on our boy erra
This is real dialogue as far as I’m concerned
The veils didn't just stop working after Ballas died, they're still a real problem and could be called Narmer's leader at this point.
They did tho
The big red hypnotizing things, those make em work or that’s what was implied
They're still wearing them...?
We, or someone, broke them all
I guess we don’t know exactly how the veils work though
Plus if the Narmer group is active there’s probably a big red spinny thing somewhere
I just can’t see the whole faction following the veils, now if someone was controlling the veils then sure but we don’t even know who could do that
Erra would be my guess but he’s gone
Well crud
Also I think most of the ones that are left are like people that wanna wear the Helments.
Oh dang
At the very least the veils still work
For what it’s worth I do like your idea of the veil only cult
They do work!
I remember Konzu lamenting over the fact they still lost people to the veils anyway
Yeah
I mean def many people gave into it
It's funny, all the Narmer seem to revolve around the Plains and Orb Vallis. No other hideouts anywhere else despite having overrun the system.
I know Ediuco talks about how having the Viels was a Cold Comfort
That's gameplay segregation, yes
For now
I wasn’t in the best mindset when the new war came out and I kinda related to that mentality, just live in bliss, forgot your problems, etc etc
Duh Duh DAAAAA
Veil only cult is just Occam's Razor, we've got no one to suspect on taking control over after Ballas since the whole point was Ballas wanted everything for himself like the manchild he was.
I think this is where I got the veils being used like a drug idea from
inb4 Alad V's next stupid project is part of Veilbreaker
I really want Alad V to be the Narmer boss but I also really don’t want him to be the Narmer boss-
The Girl Boss Gatekeep Gas Light devices.
Nah, the idiot's gonna get himself veiled on accident
Maybe the Grokdrul Ghoul will finally have lore in Veilbreaker!
True
Alad V is just the undead horse everyone keeps kicking
Speaking of Alad, I always wanted to mention:
Why doesn't he get any credit or acknowledgement for the Sentient hybrids we see in New War? The whole point of their team up was to develop this hybrid tech, which then assumedly developed into the Archons. But those are the only hybrids we see outside Jupiter and the connection is never implied.
Crackpot rewrite, but I reckon Caliban could have played into this too. He was real big into experimenting on Warframes after all.
The Archons are Old War though, no?
It doesn't have to be literal worlds. It's no different then the Oppenheimer quote
Archons are technically up in the air
So what was the point of dragging Alad into things? They're hybrids, you have two and two but they're actively not put together.
fr? They’re made from primes
I'm not saying Alad is responsible, I'm saying I think it's a missed opportunity to pay him off.
I feel like they dealed with Alad, realized they also don’t like him and ditched him
Because he made the Amalgams, not the Archons
That was a Natah thing, by herself
I still can’t get over how weird some amalgams are
Read my last statement; I think the Archons not building off of those was a missed opportunity.
Isn’t there one that just ate crewmates?
The ones that inject neurocarnivorous memes will always be in my heart.
I wonder what terrible creations Ballas and Alad could have made together
What wretched things could we have seen
Neurocarnivorous WHAT
Lemme find the codex...
Amalgam Alkonost
"This unit can upgrade organic allies by capturing them and birthing neuro-carnivorous memes directly into their brain stems, thereby super-charging their fighting capacity and resilience."
Meme does not meme funny image, just an "infectious " idea
Warframe really said memes will make you better at fighting lmao
No ik, it’s just for funnies lol
Lmao
This is why I love this game
Dose Khora's System only drop on C-rotation Sanct Onslaught ?.
Base Khora? Yes.
So.. round 8.
Yep.
You should get prime if you're not hunting for mastery
Given how it's far less tedious
I always max regular before primes.
Sometimes the primes are easier to get
Nidus
It's admirable
Equinox when she gets unvaulted
wait. Isn't rotation C = A-A-B-C ?. so every 4th lvl.
Sofar i've gotten 10+ chassis.... no darn system.
Oof
ye
Each rotation is 2 rounds
No?
A: 2 and 4
B: 6
C: 8
each reward is two rounds. each rotation is eight. 👍
took me 2 years to complete the base equinox
i just gave up on her cause the prime looked better
Anything notable about the Duviri map as seen during Tennocon?
Why would helminth be a cat person when kavats eat infestation
Adorable irony.
Maybe it's like a symbiotic relationship
If you could make a operator melee what would you make it and why? (Nothing like an amp part but a separate melee)
Baseball bat, because bat
Pool noodle
since warframes are heaping piles of strength infestation and metal
Gauntlets for punching
they can carry huge heaps of metal and call them weapons
operators are either little teens
or like, average adults
I don't think they can really wield much
Someone had an idea for a melee like this

i think being able to use the parazon like one of the morning star weapons we already have would be nice
maybe we could get a modular corpus parazon
How long after New War is Drifter in "Hide while in public"
Wdym?
Basically don't show Drifter in public cause spoiler
After Duviri
Technically forever
Duviri is pre-new war technically, so it’ll be more widespread of a topic then
Ig so
It’ll still be spoilery just cause op still is sometimes, but it’ll be less than it is now sometime after duviri
Ranging from Daggers to Nikanas with the limit being 2h-Nikanas like Tatsu (being the slowest on initial swing and when moving with them; combo counter will speed up attacks and movement speed) or heavy blades like Galatine (being even slower than 2h-Nikanas).
Considering Drifter uses Rumblejack in New War, at least giving Dr/Op access to any melee that is a plain-type (no Tonfas, Warfrans, blade+whips or the likes as those would be finnicky for their non-Warframe forms to cope with)
Imagine a operator/drifter takedown like the inner pieces execution from titanfall
Bit much for this game but still be a cool thing
my god i want to see drifter vs exploiter now. but this boss is so long wth
Lotus Radiant is a downgrade, debate
Bad Take
Disagree. And is completely negated by the fact that you can simply choose the original lotus design if you really prefer it.
i just finished the second dream and no one told me children could be used as shotguns
how long have i been living this lie?
You mean you don’t carry around a child as a self-defense weapon?
Wow, get with the times dude.
"Child" they're really more like high-school sophomores
need help with zariman quest
idk what im supposed to do here
get some of that "will make you look 10 years younger facial moisturizer" and we will see
Go inside the glowy thing
||Jump into the glowing sphere. Then kill the angel. The orbs rotating around it you gotta void sling through to remove. Stay inside the bubbles they create when you land after grabbing one, it massively buffs your damage and protects you.||
ah i just killed her without doing the slings and stuff
When in doubt go inside the glowy thing
Wait so does Excalibur umbra have its own mind as well as the operator
i think
So umbra Excalibur hears childrens voices in their head?
Essentially he is (currently) the only warframe to have a mind and thus move itself. Umbra has the ability to reject a transference link or accept it and willingly come under the control of a Tenno
only warframe in this age
if we assume the warframe creation the process is different now as compared to then, then this is the case.
if there is no change to the warframe creation process, then every single frame is like umbra
There had been talks about other umbras at some point. We never got a confirmation on wither that would or would not happen in the game
Theoretically, there could be an umbra for every warframe
An original
thats assuming ballas punished alot more people than our Umbra
I don't see why he wouldn't
Maybe, but still, if the warframe creation process isnt changed, every frame is like umbra
And this is all theoretical spitballing At this point anyway
If you think of warframes like cars, normal warframes are mass production models, Primes are top of the line customs, and umbras are concept cars with all the bells and whistles that never make it beyond the first one made
accurate, and in this case "warframes having minds" is the same as "cars go vroom"
Hey, I want a car that drives itself for me, don't you?
vibes
Anyway, it actually deepens the biological horror of the warframes if every kind had an original umbra, as it becomes less that they were designed and more they were copied from beings sentenced to unmentionable and unique torture just to advance the Orokin war machine
It's the body version of what happened to the minds of the cephalons
Slightly unrelated note, umbra being the way he is really put the feels to the ending of the new war since I finished ballas' fight with him. Rather than your operator manipulating his warframe while also being outside of it or, God forbid, clinging to a truly empty shell, I felt like I had a partner that was right there striving just as desperately as my operator was. Assuming you view umbra as the "cannon" warframe used beyond his quest, it means he was holding onto you and the lotus just as desperately as your operator was holding on to both of them.
Idk. Power of friendship got me choked up or some bull ish
"original Umbra" mmm, but Umbra is most certainly not the original, first Excalibur
He's one of the latest frames
According to what I understand to be true, all Excalibur primes were created from copying Umbra
Again, Umbra is one of the latest frames in the war and Excalibur is the first frame ever, so that's not possible
Umbra was more of a unique punishment than a part of warframe r&d
Also all warframes need tenno to calm them down
According to the lore, umbra is the "first" Excalibur, and was merely found by your character later on
There is no mention of umbra being first excalibur
Primes were copied from a singular umbra, normal warframes were copied from primes, with each step of iteration producing a copy of lesser quality
He's not the first Excalibur, he exposed, or tried to expose, Ballas to the orokin after he sent those messages to hunhow, which detailed the creation of warframes and use of the tenno
He simply cannot be one of the first Excaliburs
It doesn't line up
naur umbra isnt the first excal
Thats not lore thats headcanon
Umbra's punishment for sending hunhow data of said warframes (of which were kicking sentient butt) was becoming umbra, meaning that umbra could not have been the first excal, nor the first frame
that's heavy assumption and the prime to reg part is literally contradicted with Varzia's statement "some where prime from the start, others had to earn it"
So uhm
No, Umbra is not the first excal, and no other frame has an Umbra as of yet, meaning he could very well be unique in the lore
Also, this
It doesn't make much sense to me then why any primes were created, other than perhapse ballas' schadenfreude, if it would be more cost effective to use turn people into warframes like the orokin did with creating cephalons than ai made from the ground up
some were primes, some had to earn primes
primes were often sent to guard more "important" facilities (meaning places the higher orokin cared about)
Any primes where created because they were better than regs, and look cool, and also to be part of the prime vanguard, presumably the best of the best tenno warriors
I'm not denying it, I'm just saying it doesnt make much sense to me
Its like them gundams
Anyway, and as Bau said, if the process hasn't changed, all frames have minds
They're just
Not using them when we're out of them
I guess it's a no thoughts head empty kind of situation
Like why move when tenno inside mind is much better for me
I do know that the lore states each warframe is named after the first tenno to operate the first model, which is why they have backstories with them being refered to as people rather than purely someone using a warframes
The lore doesn't state that
Ballas even contradicts it in the prime trailers
Naming the frames there
with the frame names
Except Valkyr
I thought the warframes just didn't have conciousnesses
They do, thats what the sacrifice was all about
Ug, I hate when discord changes the post responded to because more posts are being made
If they're still made with people, which they might as well still be, with the tenno calming them and blah blah blah, then they should have one
But it's like, calm and stuff
Just chilling
Almost all "warframe backstories" arent told with the knowledge of the Tenno kiddos, since it was a state secret. We still catch glimpses in the leverian when the narrator wonders why certain frames decide to show kindness or relatability to children without parents or child soldiers
If, however, they, the modern frames we make on our own, are just animate helminth blobs, as some people suggest they could be, then they should not have a conscious mind
But I prefer the they're people variant
Then why does Ash's backstory refer to them as a person, why atlas' or gauss's? If they weren't referring to the tenno inside them, why are the warframes referred to as distinct entities in thier backstories and not say, a group using the same warframe
Because the narrator doesnt know about the tenno
Because Drusus only retells the story as told by other people who wouldn't exactly know the difference between tenno and warframe, and specially wouldn't know they actual tenno's name
The narrator can only describe the situation, and hence describes the frames as people
Then you have to call everything into question based on wether or not anyone could have all the details
They act as if the tenno and the frame are one and the same, cause to them it seems like it
The existence of space children was tightly guarded so hard that even alad v, known busybody was surprised to find out
They also don't have that tenno's name, so it's easy to call them Ash, or Atlas, or Nova
Or Gara or Mirage or Lavos or Limbo or you get the idea
Doesn't make sense to me at all. It's like saying anything in the codex might be untrue because in universe some facts would be hidden
Huh? We're not calling the events untrue at all, what Drusus says is as factual as a retelling can be, except that he could not have known about the tenno
Drusus couldn't possibly know the name of those tenno, as couldn't Onkko when retelling Gara's story
So they do what's easiest, and just call them like their frames
All I know is if it's like what you guys say has to be true, then this game make a whole lot less sense anymore
About the operators*, technically he knows the tenno, I mean he has that museum hosted for us
Just not that they're not actually the frames, at least he should not know
I'm not really sure why
Plus there are entries in the codex where we know that we cannot take at face value at all, with things like unreliable narrators or outright blatant confirmed lies.
For example the ember prime codex claims the zariman was a military ship, we know right now that that was a complete lie
Ah well yes, operators, the Tenno would be what the public called the frames
"it was a military ship, why would you put children there" girl you were inside there where only ceremonial weapons inside are you blind or something
That investigator should've been jade lighted for being dumb
It also said they didn't, which means they could put children on a ship that wasnt a military ship, which the zariman wasnt
I would think that its because she was told it was a mil ship before hand, and so she walked in thinking as such, probably didnt even make it to the armoury
Yes, exactly, it was a lie
No, it just means the zariman wasn't a military ship
I mean, fair, but it also has zero guns in the exterior and Zero smaller fighter ships
Exactly, it wasn't, it being a military ship was the lie
It was a colony ship, they lied telling her that it was military
Ten to the power of Zero guns
I think that's one
Something to the power of zero is one, right?
Ye
Does that count as just crashing the ship then?
Lmao true
Atthe end of this night, I feel like umbra is less special than I thought he was
Anyone can become an umbra (assuming thier mind can survive the process)
He's gone back to just what all my friends say he ever was; a replacement for Excalibur prime since you can't get those
Originally other frames were planned to have umbras
Woo...
You need to be special enough to piss ballas off enough
Umbra is special because of his arc, and his story and his gameplay features
He's also the only one that can move on his own in the modern era, possibly because the others are so calmed by the tenno after such a long time that they simply cannot live anymore
shrugs
All I know is that it's now a character created by chance rather any real significance to the creation of warframes at all
My personal take is that the special transference bolt fitted in umbra allows him to move
Not what we were implying I don't think
Like, yes frames made with people, as Ballas implies, all of the frames made in the old war would still have their mind, but no, they wouldn't be like Umbra
Why?
I don't know, it's possibly because of the transference bolt, or tenno exposure, or some weird shenanigans
Not chance at all ballas intentionally tortured umbra
shrugs
I say the transference bolt, ordis states that its different
Yeah but that also is what allows Ballas to speak to Umbra without speaking
Maybe not anyone can become an umbra, but itseems those that can can be chosen to be a specific type of umbra. There's more that's special about who they were before and what happened to them than actually being an umbra
...I'm disappointed...
ok
If defying someone with a lot of power like ballas isnt special i dunno what is
Especially in the orokin era
Stabbing Ballas in the chest and leaving him with a big, biiig hole in there is also special
It wasn't special. Just carried a high mortality rate. You can tell it had happened by ballas' inferred body count
Like have you seen his Narmer design
You can see his bones
He found out about Ballas' betrayal and tried to expose Ballas to the rest of the orokin
That's being kind of special
He was also a pretty decorated dax
shrug
Again, has to do with more of who he was than being an umbra
Have you seen his helmet, you could have tea with 7 people on it
The best tea helmet
Basically like separating ordis from ordan karris
He's also special in the sense that he's the only one who can move after the orokin era
Sure, the others might, might still have minds, but Umbra is the only one who effectively uses it outside of very circumstantial situations
Say it's cause of the bolt being more or less restraining on his mind, which could be I guess
smh
Again, being an umbra is less special than the person it used tobe, as that's what all this defiance is from. The warframe itself isn't anymore special than any prime warframe is, and you know how many of those get farmed up.
Just a prime replacement
I'd sarcastically suggest calling it prisma excaliber if that wasn't already a thing
It is more special because it has capabilities no other frame has, even if we don't know the exact details
Umbra is a special case due to his conception as a punishment and his capacities beyond it, and his place in the lore
He's a prime replacement but he's also more
Speaking of which, still need a prisma. Lato
If you say so
He shows abilities beyond what modern frames can do, he is a pivotal part of one of theost important quests in the game, and he also stabbed Ballas
Idk I see him as very very special
The significance is all the actions, not of what the being is. The existance of an Umbra is still much less cool than I used to think it was two hours ago
And what you thought he was was only a misunderstanding of the time frame of his conception and the role of Umbras in the wider warframe creation
Which is no role in other warframe creation
Which why would he have
Exactly. No significance what so ever
because he literally was made after it happened
If something is only significant to you if its the first i worry for your outlook in life
No, but the significance I thought he had does not exist
The significance you thought he had was a misunderstanding
If someone handed you a hundred dollars, and then pointed out its only a ten dollar bill, it wouldn't be as important as you thought it was, would it?
If you saw a ten dollar bill clearly laid out as a ten dollar bill and thought it was a hundred dollars, that's on you
I'm not saying you're wrong in what you said about him, I'm just let down that it wasnt as important as I thought it was
Nice. Telling me it's my fault doesn't change anything
Gonna go back to trying to find out how to use warframes now. Bye.
Most warframes are pretty easy to use
You mod around their good abilities and then use those
Maybe even use helminth if you're feeling spicy
What is that white Liquid that is leaking from orphixes on plains of eidelon after the New war?
"Blood" or rotten Sentient spawn goop (like in the Murex). Best guesses I could make.
Wasn't Umbra made the way he is specifically because Ballas didn't like who Umbra was before?
IIRC him being a Frame with a mind was meant to be torture, and not standard procedure.
Dax-Umbra tried to oust Ballas because of suspicions that Ballas was about to do treachery, but Long-Noodle-Arm caught wind of it and took care of him. Adding on the torture of leaving Umbra with a single burning memory.
Him having an individual mind is a side effect, yes
Dope, I actually remembered lore details
good job
You remembered the right noodle in the lore spaghetti
It would be nice if we got some lore snippets on Warframes undergoing a similar mind-wipe thing as Ordan Karris did.
Cause Umbra is a pretty beeg outiler and exception.
i want ordan karris' clothes
Thanks god we need an entire War so that ordis can help us in mission.
Hey,we made his dream come true so that's a good thing
Rhino Umbra is deffo a thing I wanna see, his frame lore is chef's kiss
im quite happy that new war wasnt just war for 4 hours
Frames had enough of a mind to revel against the orokin and need the tenno and their empathy to pilot them
While Umbra's is more... How to say it, sapient? Because of its single burning memory blah blah blah, the others that were also made of people, in case warframes are no longer made with them blah blah blah you know the drill, should still have a fraction of something in there
Would be cool to see it but idk how they could introduce him
im torn because on the one hand i want more umbras but on the other hand excal being a one time thing is cool
I'm pretty sure going by Rhino Prime, that Warframes were more like wild animals than 'wanting to rebel against the golden lords'.
Indeed they were, but that's still something in there
They don't really need a mind wipe when getting turned into a frame shatters them
Mirage was conscious enough even during the process that she changed Ballas' design willingly
That's some wild stuff
Huh, so it's definitely similar to Cephalon transformations
You're still you, but you don't know who you are.
That one is less being conscious, more just in their nature?
the entry sort of implies conscious change to me imo
In their nature? She modified the design into something very specific
How is that not conscious?
wait not entry prime trailer sorry
It might be cool to think that, Mirage's burning desire actually influenced her transformation.
Ballas' original designs for the Mirage frame was changed to the one we know today, all because of her.
I have to wonder... What was Ballas originally planing for her?
That it doesn't a fully active action per se, but a consequence of who they were subconsciously
I'm assuming he, in universe, called her Mirage due to her little feat
Based on Mirage's abilities, probably a Jester of sorts for the Orokin's entertainment. Mirage probably uhh
Made the funnies into lethal funnies.
When you subconsciously design entire abilities and even an appearance for yourself
No I meant for the frame, his original design for the frame that was twisted into Mirage
Yeah exactly, original Mirage was probably in similar concept to the light-show style Jester. But Mirage's victim turned it into a macabre of lethality. Hence Ballas' lines of perversion and becoming a beast.
Mmm
He did say "distort" and not "change"
It sounds as if you say his original design wasn't meant to be a weapon
It most definitely was supposed to be, but significantly less lethal
Like Trinity getting damage skills when we know her as a support frame.
Mmm, I guess that works
Tho I'm gonna headcanon from now on that he did call her Mirage because of what she did
found out that the horse have been foreshadowed on zariman
it was always here
in lift to dormizone there is horse poster with knife on eye
I'm pretty sure it was present during some nw parts on the z ship
Now who's using fanon? Never heard anything about warframes other than Umbra being made from people
That is the whole point of frames is it not
Infested humans turned into walking weapons gone berserk?
The vitruvian in the same quest Umbra is literally tells you frames are made of people, go pay attention and then you correct me
Indeed
Ballas explains how they made the helminth and used it to make warframes
And how "we took our greatest, volunteers or not"
How they tortured and drugged them
How they deployed them and they went bananas
So please, dear Joe, next time don't come like that trying to correct me when you're not actually right, please

And then being people is like, one of the reasons the tenno are used
It wasn't our alien devilry or whatever Ballas said, it was out ability to look inside an ugly, broken thing, and take its pain away
Literally in the sacrifice
Slightly pleased to be wrong, if only because the body horror is back in my scope of what warframes are. Does this then mean every prime we create has some basic cognition what happened to it before it was broken into pieces or is it truly a blank slate? At the very least when the first primes were first made they did.
I wonder if the same holds true for our "knock off" frames
Given how basic frames were also present in the orokin era, as Varzia confirms, it doesn't only have to be primes
Yet, as the method we use to build frames in the modern era is unknown, it is... Unknown if they retain anything
At the very leastValkyr has some beastial intelligence to her, given the description of her and her pre alad V skin
Hmmm.. since only a few warframes can vocalize, this is giving me some "I have no mouth and I must scream" vibes
Valkyr screams anyway
And Umbra too
And uhm
I think it was rhino who also did it?
Proto Rhino had a mouth, but they stopped that
That's only mildly terrifying
Literally gave him a gold faceplate for the Prime just so no one has to deal with the nightmares
I doubt they have mouths now. It's not like they need them.
Every warframe has memories and cognition. It doesn't matter if they are copies of the original or not, aka Umbra. The Sacrifice quest explains that this cognition is the reason only the Tenno can control and use Warframes. It's because they have compassion and can help soothe the frames pain and suffering. Though we don't see it for other frames, they go through a similar process with each of them to what they did for Umbra. The only difference is generally they can't move.
We can't say every frame has memories, that's explicitly an Umbra only thing
If only we had the specifications for said process... I think the information we have is very limited, I wish they expanded on this
Grendel got a big mouth on him
The Umbra only thing is that he has "single burning memory" placed there to torture him, not necessarily that he has memories at all
They have to or the process in Sacrifice wouldn't work and the Orokin could control them. The pain Warframe suffer is physical AND emotional. Nothing cam stifle physical pain but emotional can be healed. That's what the Tenno do
I would say say given the fact the operator themselves backs up the statement
They'd at least have to have the mental trauma from the process of becoming a frame and all that, and I think that counts as a memory
I would say the operator also says "I don't need to hear it, I lived it" when talking about seeing inside an ugly broken thing, and taking away its pain
Which then leads to them talking about Umbra's memory
We're not even quite sure if Umbra is even aware of his "single burning memory" (the transference with the operator could have been undoing the process of suppressing that memory). For all we know he could just be yelling at ballast in his own way similar to how pre super Broly yells for Goku
In hindsight, Tenno are just unfortunate kids who use their eldritch powers to become the ultimate therapists. I think that's neat
If he's not aware of it then it being to torture him is not very efficient
It isn't. I also don't doubt that Balast would do it anyway.
But who will give therapy to the therapist?
Should be specific then. Umbra is the only frame with tangible memory of who they were before they became a Warframe. After the process, anything is fair game
He targets Ballas specifically
In the opening cinematic he's very deliberate about things
Space mom helped us out while we got our psychology degree, then asked us to help treat her in return
He then goes a little more bananas
Lol
He litterally 1s himself across the solar system. Even Limbo had use mathematics first before he could do that
I know that's not actually what happens but I like the imagery
Speaking of the Dax, still disappointed we don't have much drifter armor. Bishamon is what I have on my operator and I'd have liked to have it in Duviri
They said they were working on porting operator stuff to drifter
But
Who knows when
Hopefully it comes out with Duviri. Would make sense too
Yeah
Wally
No, he's an anti-therapist
Is there a word for someone who does emotional terrorism professionally?
He's that
Look what he did to Rell
An abuser lmao
A professional scoundrel. A hired menace, if you will.
He works for noone
He works for chaos
His whole purpose is just doing mischieve
A little trolling
A bit of emotional abuse
A little gaslighting here, some emotional dependance there, it all comes with the package
A little bit of trolling existence more like
Low key hope we find Albreicht in duviri and can brings some news of him back to his family
I mean, we know what he looks like now thanks to hombask
Unlikely. Man specifically wanted to die
He should be dead, he said he was gonna stop taking kuva and die in his last body
I feel like we should buy one of those pictures and bring it to Grandmother
Is that how it is? I thought they were married
I mean they could be, it would just be extremely cursed
It's immortal nobility man. The family tree looks like a yarnball
*could look like
They aren't. Grandmother didn't want the marriage to happen
I feel like Albricht hanging out with old teshin would be a vibe, the two of them mentoring Drifter just as teshin and the entratis on deimos mentor the operator
Rewinding just a bit to the whole warframes have minds discussion, I suddenly remembered Xaku and am now concerned.jpeg
I guess the... Whatever remains of mind belongs to the skeleton
Hey I also don't have a gender and look like that
Well I don't look like that but I could!
You're a Cephalon. You look like pixels
Hopefully. If not, I wonder if the residual emotions of thier body parts are constantly dealt with whenever Xaku has to pull them back into its conglomerate
Like... trauma bonding or something
scary thoughts
The writer in me is enticed by them
It wouldn't, given Deluxe skins have no bearing on the game
Haha haha
Haha
H
No
Pretty sure I'm gonna buy it. Warframe skins with clothes are always what I end up using as my primary skin
One would thing it wouldn't because uhm, enby people don't stop being it just because they look slightly more masculine or feminine
What with the not a her nor a she

Calm down there pixels. I know you don't understand the humor of the fleshies but you don't have to take it that seriously

I should go grab the "original" valkyr helmet and put it on her deluxe skin. I think that shall be what I do today
Anyways. Albrecht being on Duviri also doesn't track given he wanted nothing with the Void either
I think if warframe lore has taught me anything, rarely do any of these characters get what they want. Just like real life!
I mean unless a big giant void portal suddenly opened and sucked him I don't see how he could be there
And not have commited die while on there
I mean, the whole theme of duviri seems to be that people are not allowed to commit die
Unless meeting wally was enough to make a void construct out of him and it landed in duviri
I could see him having split from thier initial interaction
I thought you had to die in the void for that, we've only seen that happened to people who died in the void
And near a reliquary, which apparently is also important for their existance
Thats the thing we cant be sure you have to die in the void
Or meet wally
Or just have been in the void at some point
Hopefully we get some more assurance in duviri
Not necessarily a reliquary but some source of energy i guess
We won't. At the very least it's clear that coming into contact with the void is needed, which albrecht certainly did
Wish we had the conceptual manifestation class available to us
It's implied many tenno do die, just that "our" tenno doesn't. The zenuka (which I still think sounds like the name of a corpus energy drink) project was made from warframes and a dead rhino is also in the new war. Of course, that's not assuming they didn't just abandon thier frames with some kind of psychic kill switch.
I think the implication is that Lotus controls our transference prior to awakening. Dead Tenno are the ones she couldn't pull before the frames got merc'd.
I thought the inference was that we were still- well... before the new opening, was that we had a transference link already established with a singular warframe and that just transfered between them somatically, that is, by touching another warframe.
Which was why things like getting captured by zanuka mattered: you couldn't just abandon the frame even if you wanted to, as you had to touch a different warframe to do so
And even then, a single Warframe is a piece of insanely valuable Orokin tech, so losing one to Aladstein's Monster is still within the bounds of 'unacceptable'.
Okay, I lied. wearing a gersemi helmet is not worth 150 plat
its more acceptable than dying
“All the riches in the system aren’t worth half as much as a favor from a Tenno”
Correct me if I quoted it wrong
Not exactly but the idea of the quote is the same
Key word "favor", not just a Warframe itself
Favours from Tenno are worth more than any quantity of Warframe components.
i mean there are the operators to take into the equation (and the entirety of umbra)
since warframes are mostly just drones (except for ones like umbra)
i myself have never asked a drone for a favor but i imagine things wouldnt exactly go as planned
Unless its a Specter which had been sat for a mission briefing, no it wouldn't understand.
It'd be like telling a Sentient to build something based on minimum wording and expecting it to get it right first time.
Last time we tried something like that it didn't turn out so well
veilbreaker will come with styanax right? or not?
Yes.
idk if this fits in here but what are these voice lines from ordis cause i have never heard them
The first 3 are no longer there
They were there to tease the second dream and were cut
The other 3 I think were also cut, cause I spent a full afternoon hunting for the Orbiter void one because of an argument
And no, never found it
I think the last three stop showing up after War Within
To memory the first three cut out after you do Second Dream.
The second set, first one I haven't heard since War Within, second one probably stops playing after you get all of Ordis' fragments, and third one should stop after you get the Lounge (at a push, at earliest it should be whenever the Somatic chair room is opened up).
I don't think the second one stops after you get all of his memories
I haven't heard it recently in any case.
Mainly cause it never showed up for me, although I never went looking for it I guess
I did try to hunt down the first one but trying to hunt idle lines is... Well I didn't find it
Maybe Vespid remembers the big orbiter in void argument from the old New war spoilers channel, I tried to hunt it down then
I vaguely remember the seats quote
the wiki does have a cut lines segment for war within's void blast stuff so i trust the wiki editors
on the other hand "probably deals damage"
On the third hand, they still have the Fortuna dialogue transcripts talking about Duviri, while the audio in the same transcript no longer refers to Duviri
It's an easy change and they haven't done it yet when when the audio is already changed
true
And it leads to misinformation in such a stupid way it seems intentional
Duviri exists in Fortuna’s dialogue
Duviri does not exist in Fortuna’s dialogue
i just wish the pre tsd lines became much more common after you get all the requirements for the junction that gives tsd
like the first 3
would foreshadow it much better for new players that somehow dont know
You will do second dream like 5 minutes after that so it's not really a big of a change
at least in my opinion
that is true
maybe like when you return to the orbiter after completing the junction ordis says that
or the planet before the lines become more common
idk i just love foreshadowing
it does count as that right
Yes
Screw the Venus scene in New War..
Hated that scene, they could sense you from miles away...
You can throw the smoke canisters
They never catched me that way
Like, I think it's the second drifter ability
Can you use those when you have the veil?
Should be.
Mmm no but you just have to wait for the deacon to do their scripted routine
Has anyone else just never gotten wally in the orbiter?
Maybe you're managing to avoid him.
Maybe you got spoiler mode activated
I’ll check rn
Where is it in the settings is it creator mode?
Cause if so thats off
Idrc anyways it’d be nice to have a visit from wally but idm
Is there a way to get a physical version of post-new-war Ordis in the orbiter again?
Baro is selling a statue of TNW Ordis for this month :)
👀
👀
Crap imma have to grind some ducats then
How much is it for?
350 i think?
Dang… I’m a newer player, I only have 45 😬
Dw older veteran still poor on ducats
Ok what is better the drifter camp or the orbiter
Preference
Drifter if you like outdoors a little more and dont mind the teleport orbiter for the space view and no teleport between navigating and everything else
Yea I’m using it because you can go outside and decorate the outside of the camp
My lil roomba gets lost out there sometimes lol
Lol if I go out there my pet will follow me and gets stuck to
I would like Drifters camp so much more if the landing craft was attached to the orbiter, so it was still the same as the space version with getting between sections, but you can go outside too lol
So with drifters camp is the thing in the water the orbiter itself i assume so as you can see the liset outline
Yeah it is
Smort
my heart says drifter's camp but my framerate says orbiter
The true answer
in new war VO for operator sounds like a chipmunk cuz they got too old to voice teenager?
what was the prime shotgun we used in New War?
corinth
thanks
IIRC they got completely new VO's.
They plan on redoing the previous quest lines with those VO's as well apparently...
Which personally, I don't look forward to. Not a fan of the new VO's for male op's.
“I’m the Operator, and this is my favorite fishmonger on the Cetus”
Hard to believe that one of the best bows in warframe is a quest reward
It's usually melee weapons that are rewarded
"A weapon as old as those you hunt: Nataruk!"
6 digit damage on my end. haven't really tried with damage buff frames
the new va for falcon i dont really like
i like the old one more
I don't use female op, so I haven't heard the differences there as much.
yo i have a great idea.
If your ship stay in the void you have a chance to see wally ramming through the void
I’m assuming Wally is the man in the wall lol?
yes
Yooo I got something right let’s go
Variations of the name include Wally, Wallman, the lad in the slab, you-but-better and "that creepy weirdo that wears my face"
When he has the lotus helmet he’s wearing two faces at once
deja vu happens
MMh yes wally's famous line : "You don't like your face ? I like your face...Give it to me, give me your face"
What a wierd way to propose making out
🥖 Bonk
It’s the DEA
don’t kiss void entities
Anyone thinks that man in the wall just trying to find friends?
But all he can offer is void powers and a big smile?
Mb he was bullied in void high school, and now he trying to play with what might as well be ants for him
someone else mentioned imagine if wally takes the route of "im weak help me take down bigger void entities" and we get another star chart or something lmfao
Mitw played lunaro in high school he was top tier defender was about to go D1
mitw has a son called boy in the door or something
But then someone cut his finger off and now he’s just a guy who floats around
truly the most tragic anime story
You guys are funny
Where’s woman in the floor?
Cat in the ceiling
me trying to master as many weapons as i can as fast as possible....
saddest part is that i got the bow from new war and dread at almost the same day
almost the complete opposite on status and crit
Moving now to my sister/lich collection
You don't feel the same sadness over mk1 Braton, do you?
nah rifles so far suck to me
At least narutotook comes with a weapon slot and potato
the order is anything that explodes/glaives > flamethrowers > some melee > shotguns > bow > rifle > kunai/shuriken
i master them just for the collecting mastery because so far especially grineer assault rifle sucks hard
but putting fire rate on shuriken/kunai at least make shooting them funny
Break enemy skulls and your wrists with a max fire rate Hikou Prime
So I'm supposed to shoot a specific spot to make sure the Owl hybrid doesn't heal.
Why does it blind me like there's a Mirage player shooting numerous zarr bombs with reckeless abandon.
Remember Hunhow's line about "closing in unseen". You need to use your smoke bomb to get inside the barrier, then you can shoot him to stop the healing.
Oh, yeah bright colors will do that to ya.
Flashbanged harder than the initial release of the particles update
Imagine having bloom intensity set to 100%.
i didnt know that i just shot the archons until they died
unless i did but then i forgot
are kuva liches capable of flashbangs?
i think so
off the top of my head a lich with a zarr or a bramma should do it
but i think some abilities do create crazy amounts of light
That tactic was for the owl specifically though.
did i fight owl? i forgot
oh yeah i think i remember for that attack i just charged in until it let me in or something like that
Yeah, you can brute force it if you spam roll into it enough, but you are supposed to use the smoke bomb there, standing inside it makes you not get pushed back.
Gosh it feels so cool to use Umbra for the NW
Double whammy in irony for Noodle-Arm Step-Dad
i kinda just kept spam shooting him until he stopped healing
It feels good to have the Lotus back
i found it surprising we can customize her. even swap which skin she uses with plat
Oh
OH that makes more sense than spam rolling into the force field thing and shooting him
Which I totally didn't do
same. but it is tempting to buy the other appearances
i just stuck to Lotus, but was tempted to also give her the Natah look
i bought natah look but ended up not using it
I'm tempted to buy Margulis because of the unfiltered voice and cause her face is pretty
Or Natah because of the heavily filtered voice and because her face is pretty
I want an unmasked lotus
i thought voice filter was affected by name instead of skin
It is skin
I'd like to see Lotus get more modularity in her customization.
But yeah, the filter is per-skin.
yay
Even EidoLotus has a different filter
neat
i need to look at my Operator's appearance. couldn't find something i had, and i guess it was one of the options Drifter can't use
I chose margulis, cuz she pretty
And I'm going night side of the spectrum anyways
But feels odd not having static of holo-lotus
main reason i wanted to beat new war was get rid of holo-lotus
wasn't Holo-Lotus just Ordis posing as her or something?
yeah
Kinda, hologram did same lines as real one would do
Even in quests
Like it was all pre-recorded
i kinda figured it was more like Ordis observing Lotus and Operator for so long he could mimic her (the irony)
A bit too good at mimicking
Quick question, after the New War am I placed into a bracket or is it still the same matchmaking?
You have a new a Plains and Fortuna open world default but those would be the only places you're segregated from folks who haven't played
And the Narmer bounties on those open worlds obvs aren't accessible to non TNW players
I do not know if there's an unofficial courtesy "don't use a Drifter in front of the babies" policy like we used to have with Operators.
Aw that's where I am 90% of the time
Man Fortuna looks ugly with the new look.
sometimes youd randomly get intercepted by the real lotus
There's speculation that one of the new promised updates will let us fix that, or at least the inside
Anyone care to tell me why my operator is doing FK-all damage to Eido shields !?.
I have the Shwaak, Shraksun, Lohrin Amp maxed.
Do you have buffs?
it is funny that every mission is like Yeah Lotus i know what to do
To when missions get silent you get like i am so lonely
Wait natah has a filter?
And Lotus does too
Ik about lotus
I've honestly never seen gameplay for anyone using natah
I personally chose margulis
And haven't bothered to buy the skins
I'll get xaku's deluxe just for the lotus skin tho
It looks cool
Hope it works better with various color palettes
I really want lotus/margulis/natah fashionframe
I wish we got more slots for customizing her
I hate having to change the colors each time I want a different looking Lotus
What if we get adult operator from the next big update which can actually use guns and melee plus amps
Btw I put this here because Operator/Drifter (child, Teenager)
Drifter is an adult operator is a teen
Drifter is the adult already
Lol
Operator is a teenager lmao
They definitely aren't under 13
They look short on my big tv
several of the male drifters in particular look like they're pushing forty 😂 im really annoyed i can't have a prettyboy drifter
They're pretty androgynous
Or can get
They're either ugly or have a female shaped silhouette
And like
OK good enough
But
It could be better
Or it could be me not knowing how to mix faces properly
i have had the exact same problem fog 😩 you can't mix male and female faces OR body shapes. i wouldn't be so frustrated except that they obviously already have the code for blending the faces, there's no reason to restrict it :/
Yeah :(
DEA
Thankfully I made my operator exactly how I imagined and they look ok
Hold on there one second
Some weird brother sister paradox
How do warframes have genders when at this point they are drones mostly
Ignoring umbra
What was once boob turned infested
trans people can exist in the dystopian post-apocalypse future
ticker my beloved
The infested is just a bad space yeast infection
Just being honest ticker’s name makes me feel like they make bombs as a side job
Yes
Because the peope they're based on had genders. Why would it suddenly be different.
This should be capitalised on.
Kinda have it’s funny really as when I made the change and they spoke together I felt more like a sibling connection than really “you’re talking to yourself”
Cute.
Time but I guess the infestation or whatever stuff kinda preserved them
I kinda thought they were mostly a biological mass with infested being used as a drone
Again ignoring umbra
the way i understood it, i believe Operator/Drifter are the same age. supposing Operator's deal and giving him Void magic stopped him from growing up. Drifter confirms he's not from the future, just an alternate timeline
in terms of objective age (aka how much time has passed in the universe since their birth) theyre the same, obviously. but their subjective ages are different. the operators spent a very long time in stasis and didn't age at all, and the drifter didn't spend time in any kind of stasis.
true, forgot about the stasis thing
The OG Warframes (pre-Transference) were made from Dax and other reputable people in the Empire (often including people who did wrong by the Empire) being augmented with Infested.
Warframes after the discovery of Transference to my speculation may be more Infested Puppet than former Dax.
Exempting the one-off case of Umbra.
If they're just puppets and not people, the whole taking away pain thing is pretty pointless
Also uhm
Like
Idk how exactly to put this into words
Nevermind it was a dumb thought
Not particularly, given we know the Infestation can contain and copy consciousness
Primarily through Jordas, granted he gets some leeway as a computer
Umbra is special
“Special”
Jordas is a Cephalon. Or at least, a Cephalon/Infested hybrid.
in rhino p's codex, there's a description of rhino running berserk but going calm and motionless when it gets close enough to feel transference signals from the sleeping tenno. this implies that our presence is what keeps our warframes in a placid state instead of acting under their own instincts.
"Warframe are sick
and we are their drugs"
-Quote from maybe a tenno having an emo phase
Warframe drugs?
What is umbra then insane?
Or maybe they know more than anyone
No, just grief stricken
Ptsd even maybe
Both, yes
i think that ballas made him to always remember how he killed isaah ?
Grineer watching my warframe as a grown man pops out amd make a ring (they cant do anything as they’re trapped in a ball of tentacles)
this may or may not be spoilers (drifter fashion) but... why is the tooth texture linked to the skin tone 😭 no wonder i never see any operators of color
I don't think it is. My drifter is dark with normal teeth
hmm... i wonder what i did to get this result then... and how do i fix it 😂
Rotten teeth bruh
It might be something like the eye shine color of something
Stank breath
Your pfp really reminds me of the cover of After the silence by Leon branche lol
Lol
In truth it is an oscilloscope doing some weird stuff because of an arg
It, the oscilloscope, never lead anywhere but we got Fog

I understood none of this
Weird device did weird thing with an audio file
Amazing
i love cephalon OCs almost as much as i love operator/drifter OCs
If you think about it, all operators and drifters are ocs
Also it's kind of a collective oc, I just took over the name when nobody was looking
i know a lot of people RP as themself in the game, or don't really put any thought into their Dr/Op as a character. 🤔 i'm one of those people who has friends who also play the game, and made their operators into fully-fledged characters--and we have backstories for the group, and side characters in the clan, and we really go overboard but it's such fun 😂
I'm a bit of both.
oscilloscopes are amazing
if only they weren't so expensive I'd have more money in my bank acct now
Some do it for the immersion, I have issue getting in the story if I have nothing to do with the character. 🤷🏻♀️
sure, it's a completely legitimate way to play the game 😄 i can't get into playing as myself if i can't get the avatar to look like me, pfft
I get the feel - or at least look like the gear/armour/style they've got is your fashion taste.
"Executor Ballas Prime Paracesis"
its essentially an orokin kuva weapon lol

You sound just like me! My operator's name is Faeii and I'm part of an rp community that does the same thing! We've fully designed our Ops with backstories and everything. And have non-Tenno characters too. Grineer, Corpus, and lots of NPCs in between
It's one of the reasons I'm so excited for veilbreaker, cuz I spend so much time writing and researching the lives of non-Tenno in the WF universe
finished angels of zariman as drifter, and this happened
very strechy
e x t e n d e d
tainted operator
Dunno where to ask this but this is a safe area as any.
The song 'Sleeping in the cold below'
"From mothers hands we go, we'll be sailing to the sun 'till the voyage is done."
Could that of been forshadowing for New War?
Huh. Quite a coincidence now that you mention...
Dunno, but it's in the past now prolly sleeping in the cold below

Foreshadowing parvos's next idea ?
Tbh yes it could be perghasa's thing
I made mine Bruce Wayne and I have a ash that looks like Batman
So doing Railjack story, Did Cy intentionally sabotage the old war ship to kill the crew on purpose or was it merely he ignored the dangers due to his conflicted orders?
The takeaway is that he valued the mission over his crew, if I remember. That's why he's more concerned with our safety nowadays.
Ah ok, the way he phrases it, he says something like "The mission means the crew dies, but my precepts are to protect the crew, but the crew precepts are to complete the missions
I completed the mission"
Just seemed the usual ominous implication "I activated deathtraps to ensure the crew dies due to my programming analyzing that they need to"
If not great, I like Cy
It seems to be more of a "I could've saved them but I didn't and the mission was complete" than a "I actually consciously killed them to complete the mission"
yeah what fog said. cy clearly cared about his crew, but he made the decision to complete the mission instead of keep his crew alive. he regrets this decision and in hindsight has decided it was the Wrong Decision™️ which is why he tells us he's not a viable command cephalon. a cephalon that makes The Wrong Decision in a crisis shouldn't be trusted to pilot a ship.
Good I like Cy
Aaand that's why he always pulls us out when the hull is about to collapse
Instead of like, having a game over where the ship blows up
Because he values our lives over the mission
