Just so you know in advance, The quest after War Within unlocks after finishing the last mission in Void (Mot is the name). There's no junction that rewards that quest and the requirements are just in the codex so yeah...
Also you can skip Eris and do Mot first, since you just have to go through Sedna... You can do all the main quests before Eris tbh

There was no mention of an operator ability that pops up and shoots out a laser beam, I was just doing a capture mission and randomly pressed a button and there he goes firing his laser. Pretty odd how the game just doesn't mention so much of the game, you just find out randomly and wiki it to learn or a friend tells you.

i would definitely recommend slapping a lens on your favorite frame so you can passively collect focus as you play. 
it can feel miserably tedious to actively grind for six hundred thousand focus, but if you are just sort of collecting it on the side while you do other things, it's way less painful.

I would say the fancy fancy looking skins (basically anything thats not your standard 50/75p helmets and skins) arent canon unless expressed otherwise (like ash shroud's and nezha empyrian's, Nova Atomica's,Atlas' Karst's, syndanna). Because if you assume skins outside of tennogen are by default cannon, youre going to have a field day explaining how certain skins dont break down the already haphazard lore (like the Excal proto-armour deluxe skin)

I thought the Orokin created the Tenno, but they were to be destroyed or something (?) because they were seen as too powerful, then the mother sent them to the void or something and hid them away in a dream (for some reason?), now I'm learning about something called the Zariman incident which I don't get at all and it seems like it was just randomly mentioned throughout this war within quest without any context, just randomly hearing flashbacks during some event called the Zariman incident. Am I wrong for thinking this is confusing or is it common to not get what's happening here.

So, the tenno were on a big ship called the zariman 10-0, it was to go to Tau, it got stuck in the void while trying to get there
Their parents turned mad and murderous, and they got super powers
Some unspecified time after that they were rescued by the orokin, and particularly Margulis, an archimedean, basically a super huge scientist, who cared for them and put them in a dream cause their powers were very dangerous and they had to focus it to not hurt people (they blinded her with them)
The orokin wanted to kill and or weaponize the tenno, she didn't want that so they killed her
The orokin then made the tenno control the warframes, made them fight against the sentients, who were a super threat to the orokin (sentients are robots the orokin made to terraform Tau and they turned on them)
One of the sentients falls to the tenno side, Natah, and turns into the Lotus
She helps the tenno kill the orokin
The sentients are defeated
The tenno go to sleep

Alright, gonna answer these in reverse. Quill Onkko is Onkko from the Saya’s Vigil quest, the guy that vanished. He vanished because he saw many, many futures…and the only one that turned out good for Cetus was the one where he left Saya’s life. He now sees multiple timelines at the same moment, and being forced to live only one at a time is not comfortable.

Amps change how your operator beam functions; the mote amp he gave you is pretty awful. Other amps require three parts; prism (primary fire), scaffold(alt fire) and brace (stat changes. You have to have all three parts to build an amp, and amps are pretty strong if an enemy has no armor

Just did it thank you for the advice. I was told I wouldn't get any energy benefits until the war within was over so I didn't bother with lenses this whole time, now realizing I could have been gaining xp this whole time for the school.

yes, you need an eidolon lens for lua, for which you need a greater lens
so you gotta beat angels of the zariman before thinking about upgrading

So, given that my old lens would be replaced with greater, wouldn't it be better/economical to just put a regular lens on everything for the time being until I do the Zamarik quest, rather than use 4 lenses it takes to make one greater, and only going from 1.25% to 1.75% on one single item it's equipped too?

Amps are different than other items; you aren’t technically holding it unless you’re currently using the operator. So to get affinity for amps, you have to be using the operator and either killing with it, or being near other people who are killing
And no, sadly lens blueprints are single use.

Uh…honestly it just depends on how you farm for focus. 85k focus is basically nothing for me, as ESO or stealth Adaro gives a lot of affinity if done right. Just casually playing… I don’t know

I love that one theory on the duviri paradox.
There is a tiny theory (on youtube) on how this could work : Drifter is (supposed) playing a character that is inside the duviri plane but this plane is governed by dominus thrax, meaning that he has full control and drifter has a role to play, smilar to a theater so the drifter has the obligation to play that role (that's why a duviri dax say : "Back in your place").
But well, drifter doesn't want.

I'm not sure how to interpret that theory but as I understood it, Drifter's Zariman ended up in Duviri and Dominus trapped him there to force him to be the tragic hero in his self-made world. And every time the Drifter dies, he restarts the world for the fun of killing him all over again.
It's kinda hard to tell if that other person was theorizing the same thing but to me, that seems to be more of what's happening than a theory

The towers are more shielded against the void, given how they're designed to spend large amounts to time in it
The zariman is clearly not designed to spend that large amount of time derelict and half in the void so the corruption is more spread

I am hoping DE does backtrack a little and give Operator/Drifter a small array of primary/secondary weapon archetypes and melees to pick from with debuffs based on sizes, ammo, fire-rate and the likes.
For instance, Tigris Prime would have a serious kickback, and Corinth Prime would deal a fixed amount of minor self-damage due to the broken bones from just firing it (which would heal almost instantly, because Void; maybe not deal self-damage but more a tiny amount of knockback?).
Stuff like that, and slower aim/move/holster speeds based on weapon. Like if you're lugging a Galatine P, your Dr/Op should be always crouched and unable to run (or turn as quickly if they manage to get into a sprint).
These kinds of big, Dark Souls / Mass Effect style drawbacks (Mass Effect did add penalties you could counter with things) would give people who want more Dr/Op action to risk slowing them a little for extra firepower and more Tenno+Umbra teamwork time than the narrow slants we get with Amps.
And it would hypothetically discourage people from trying to fit more big, deadly weapons on their Tenno to keep them and Warframes fundamentally isolated.

Given the existence of the modifying procedure, the orokin seemed to have developed a process to change the functionality of a weapon without changing the form. I could see it all being explained away as the effects of void "magic" (hocus pocus Quantum Physics theory). Also, can my guy Please get a Narmar mask to wear? Think about it; kids in Cetus (or, more likely, Fortuna) driving unarmed Proxies using the Veils as a sort of 'cheap Transference' and effectively playing Robot Wars.
Maybe Cetus people using Veils to muddy the perceptions of Eidolon Sentients, leading to a quest about that which leads to us being seen as neutral by Eidolons until we shoot them (a third 'shield' that acts as a 'wait, are you serious?' buffer).
