The first Dera Vandal prototype is finished! This prototype is about making sure that parts fit. I don't care about paint, sanding, or joint flaws right now. The next prototype will focus on structural integrity (that top barrel is heavy!) while still making it easy for me to print and assemble.

If you've got a benchtop CNC machine alongside your printer, I'd recommend cutting some stuff from acetal (Delrin). It cuts like butter, it holds fine detail, and it has good dimensional stability. Cheap acetal can be a bit on the brittle side, but it should be fine for decorative props. I can't tell you how well it holds paint though.

No go ... and no room either. I don't have a problem with 3D printing. (It's certainly less messy than a CNC machine.) I just need to fine-tune the tab/slot method of putting parts together. In fact, I already have an idea for locking mechanisms between parts. The big drawback would be that once they're together, they're not coming apart, so there's no margin for error and no easy way to split them apart if I need to.

Yeah, I know the feeling. Joining printed parts is a lot of trial-and-error. Back when I was working in robotics, I would do a lot of hybrid printed/machined assemblies to get around it.

If you can print threads, I have found them to be a good joint option, just need to make sure it doesn't print in a shearable direction, easier tolerances imo than dovetail tabs

Actually, I was thinking about it and .... 3-inch long wood screws. I can easily secure the lower barrel and the area between the barrels to that center core (with the Corpus text) with long wood screws before I attach the stock. Make the hole walls really thick so that they don't fracture, and they're not coming apart unless they get smacked with a sledgehammer. I did that with the stock for the Vaykor Hek.

I meant, you should make a difference between Revenant and your concept, because "vampire frame", "male frame" and "sentient like" all put in the same sentence refer to Revenant you know... He was originally designed to be a vampire frame with a link to the Sentient. At this point, your concept can just be a tennogen skin for Revenant
After taking a look at your powers, even them are kinda Revenant-like... come on man :/ you really should diversify
edit : you should nerf it a bit too, 1200 HP with 300 shields capacity and 700 armor + 375 max energy and eventually 1,2 base sprint speed ? No frames have a combination of such op stats

Tbh revenant is a mind control sentient themed frame imo, there is nothing that is vampire like to his kit, there is also garuda and she seems way more vampire like, cause she has a lot of blood with her abilities, all of her abilities have something to do with blood, her 4 with bleeding, she has blood altar, ect., so I really think that Garuda is more vampire like then Revenant is, also, who thought its great to give sentient themed waframe mind control... : /

Yea i know about that, but he is different type of sentient, Revenant with lasers and he have not much of the vampire vibe. But this 1 does. Yea probably because his energy effect on his body . Only thing is revenant have fire ghostly looking effect but mine more lile vein- pulse effect. Also if you take a closely look his body armor and helmet is similar direction like Garuda,maybe Xaku. For me new frame Sevagoth even if he is cool probably cool male frame for a long time he looks like nekros and alt helmet is like he is from some Saryn tennogen helmets... In a way all warframes are weary similar 1 from another if we going in this direction.... Thats what make him look like they are belong in warframe universe... So there is that. Hey guys, I made the not so smart attempt trying to contact Rebecca Ford through Instagram in the middle of the night for a small little Edit regarding the new Theme Song of the new update (Sleeping In The Cold Below). In the comments some people "requested" a 1 hour loop of the humming at the end of the song and I didn't want to just upload it to YouTube since I take copyrights very seriously (have to do in my job as well). Tried to contact any of the community staff here on Discord now but understandably you cant reach or add them.

Does anyone have one of the Community staff in their contacts and would be kind enough to point them into my direction? I'd just like to send them a Google-Drive link so they might have a look into what I made. It's nothing special but could be "useful" and interesting for the community, similar to what Marvel did with the 1-hour-Zemo-Dance.

Help find a solution to a difficult situation
Recently there was a creative competition in honor of Easter. I took part in it (you can see it in the corresponding forum thread). Taking part, I perfectly understood that there are people much better than me, I took part not to win, but to participate, to contribute to the fan base. But my work was not even noticed, and was not shown in a short video, which upset me a little. I wrote about this, just as a fact, and unexpectedly received an answer, I realized that everything is much worse.
Due to third-party programs for blocking "spam" from the organizers, my work was blocked on their computer (other participants in the competition saw my work), but the organizers did not warn me to replace the work, but simply ignored it. I tried to get an explanation for such negligence and a usual apology, but it was all to no avail, I was only given a forum ban for "spam". I would not be surprised if this message is also deleted.
Help advice how to be? Where should i write? To get an answer and a solution, so that other people would not be overtaken by such disappointment and sadness due to the negligent attitude of the organizers.
