Red shards are additive since it’s beefing up your ability str, purple, green and orange shards are multiplicative because they’re buffing the damage itself of the ability which scales much faster

if you have say 200% ability strength and add 4 shards (60% at tau) you are getting an additive to 260% damage. With Oranges, Greens, or Purples you would get functionally 320%.

Theres a reason you’re supposed to use banes instead of just adding another Damage mod
