Yea i wasn’t really thinking when i said i was gonna build both blast and viral -v-
And so far i made a build that uses viral and slash damage (i couldn’t slot in heated rounds without having to switch polaritys, plus I think slash might help with armored enemies)

I’ll give the build a test run in a extermination mission

I am having trouble figuring out which weapon is better for Nekros between Glaive prime and Nikana prime. I kill enemies faster with glaive, but I dont seem to be getting them slashed in half that much, but I get a lot of slash/dismember kills with nikana, it's just a slower start to be doing damage.

Looking for a touch of help with a Nova build, specifically what helminth to use.

Now, my basic build is a high duration/low range, since the important stuff scales off of duration. Molecular fission is included. I want to add an armor strip ability to maximize damage, but I'm having trouble deciding which one.

Orphanim Eyes seems like a good choice. Fire and forget, does AOE armor strip and doesn't need to be spammed. Even slows enemies independantly of your #4. Low range (~19m) and you have to wait about 7 seconds to fully strip, though.

Tharros Strike peels off about 75% of defenses in one go, and is less expensive to cast, but is less than half the range and needs to be spammed.

I tried Pillage, but the % is low (~36%) and you need to cast it multiple times. Duration extends the range much like Molecular Prime, but the enormous AOE is actually a downside for closer enemies as you have press the cast button again to cut it short before you can actually cast it again.

Finally is smite. Single target, but strips ALL defenses on the target regardless of power strength.

I... have no idea what to go with.

Prisma Skana with the Incarnon is pretty sweet.

Pangolin Prime is another good choice: Higher base damage and status chance, with only slightly lower attack speed and crit chance.

Coda Mire is solid. Heavy weighted towards toxin damage, total damage is in the same general range as the Pangolin P., with 40% status and 18% CC. Slightly faster than the Prsima Skana, and slam attacks are guaranteed to proc toxin.

||Broken War|| if you've gotten through The Second Dream quest. It's almost identical to the Dakra Prime: 17 more total damage and 2% Status, but it loses 1% CC and 0.2x CD.

Those are really the best of the bunch. I don't keep any of the others.

Eh, I don't like using conditionals to replace base damage mods. Like, sure, you hit a higher high, but your low is absolute poop. And on a weapon like this without any appreciable status chance, it's really hard to justify.

What I've got gives me consistent high damage that I don't have to think about.

3k (5.5 *2.899) = 3k (15.944) = roughly 48k.

So yeah, with the riven and P3, I deal an extra 7k damage.

now, swapping in a faction mod over P reach is worth, but I've been dealing a lot with 1999 and duviri, and I'm pretty sure we don't have faction mods for those.

another option I sometimes use is to swap out the toxin damage for more elec, and use Melee Influence arcane.

mesa doesnt need high strength because of galv shot (str% is additive to dmg%), you might find something like muzzle flash better because of the extra crowd control
instead of molt augmented, arcanes like avenger or hot shot are more effective
