Magnetic will be raising damage more on average since it hits shields and overguard both well, the latter of which shows up on all enemy types, and triggers electric procs as part of its status effect. Meanwhile Corrosive would just be wearing down armor

It takes the spot of another mod that helps your dps more. For example, an elemental mod gives more damage than a mod that only boosts puncture damage because elemental damage accounts for the total damage of the weapon instead of just only puncture

the problem is, you have no source of cold on your primary.
