As per my understanding all the warframes are powered via the void, and through that they can do what they can. Cut off the heart of deimos which pumps the void into reality, and warframes stop being able to do what they can do.

The issue with taking mechanics from Lavos is the most obviously useful one is the alchemy mixing.

Which creates the issue of what his elemental ward would do, you'd have to expand it to include every elemental combo.
