Basically the Infestation starts to infect machines after Alad V actions. Before that, it was purely organic.
But, in 1999, the Techrot looked like a "Pre Infestation". But again, this can't be true bc the Techrot was capable of infecting pure machinery, as we see sometimes in some enemies.
So, the Infestation is a variation of the Techrot that goes to the biological logic, right? Bc it can't be an evolution since the Infestation would already be able to spread through technology.

If I'm right, I wonder if the Techrot was modified by the Orokin to throw against the Sentients (and then surges the Infestation) or Infestation already existed
