But that fact, doesn't seem to affect his other form-projections (like appearing as our doppelganger, or the four-arm/four-leg wall-thing) at all

So it left a physical, permanent manifestation of... something, of it behind. Yet, at the same time, he was physically unchanged, because apparently he can still change forms anyway so... what the hell was severed then, if it was only a projection?

I think, it comes down to touching on the game's physics ideology of Eternalism and the topic of Conceptual Embodiment. Sure we can say that Wally x power, x power, x power, etc. with a list to result into list of ad nauseum and we'd be here forever.

Just consider this, Wally can watch all timelines that are impacted by Eternalism like a director looking at a storyboard for a movie. Wally can see every scene, every play, every action, every variation, and choose to reach in. Like a kid watching sunday morning cartoons wanting to touch their favorite cartoon character.

Albrecht's first encounter with Wally stirred a fear within Albrecht not felt before; asking for the doors to be shut to shut out the eldritch monstrousity known as "The Indifference." We open up the game, move our characters, change fashions, etc. We observe what the Operator/Drifter go through countless times in repeat Codex Missions, Star Chart Missions, Bounties, etc. Some of us play the Star Chart nodes Helene and Hydron on repeat with different Warframes to level them up over and over again. The Grineer defeated in those missions are the same Grineer everytime you boot up those missions, under the understanding of Eternalism. Meaning when you repeat those missions, those Grineer are being killed over and over again in different ways, but from their personal POV they've only died once, but in our gamer POV those same Grineer died multiple times at our hands and they don't even know it.
