But what’s what did Vinny mean by it not being a real name
I don't know, except presumably that it's not some mystical true name deal
So not like fae law or am I missing orikin lore on names
She just survived an encounter with the Warframe headless horseman by giving it a name, which she no longer uses herself
As far as we know
Shoulders
Looks at necraloid
No shoulders
Orokin DO have rune magic and alchemy, maybe true naming is A Thing somehow too
names hold power. dagath got into her situation because she named the horse
the family begins healing and they give each other names
grandmother lost hers, as her name was all she could give to dagath
@rotund light Okay so. mothers old name and new name. are both REAL names for her. her new name is even more "REAL" cuz it's her current name.
So it is kinda based on fae like how Oberon and Titania are based off it
The concept of old ass loid carrying a whole kid on his spine
ehhhhhh
Poor dude that shit hurts
It's more.... The Entrati family are naming each other to clarify their identities
The names have meanings that matter
in lore you name things you Love. @rotund light and names have a lot of power. like you naming someone or something makes it more of a person.
also this.
This is a spoiler, but Grandmother doesn't take a new name
She's the only Entrati who doesn't need a new name, because she was secure in her identity already
You even get given a name.
Kinda figured since the dagath thing so it doesn’t act like you have control over a person rather they get power but is it political power or magic?
Presumably she stopped using the name Dagath so that the warframe didn't just come murder her for "retaking" the gift she gave it.
Like that's what's said in the story the couple get mad at dagath cuz she named a horse when they wanted to be her only object of affection.
So sentimental
Anyway, it's not a mystical thing (as far as we know) it's a human thing
It's just Orokin culture
Dagath "loses" her name cuz the Couple refuse to say it especially when she is a warframe.
Ok, also seems like 90% of the frames have trauma
yeah.
All of them
100%
yeah basically
Being a warframe is traumatic itself. And Ballas wasn't exactly taking normal people for the procedure.
The only one who MAYBE doesn't is Gara
they literally say that in the sacrifice.
being turned into one is generally a traumatic experience
Kinda wonder what happen to koumei and wisp cause i hear Marie was an amputee and the coven skin kinda shows it
@rotund light have you played the sacrifice?
"we took our best, volunteers or not, and polluted them with these cultivated reagents"
roughly the line might be a little off
They've said so like three times lol.
Except Jade. Go finish Jade.
-# Gauss looks way too happy to have tauma
Gauss made a friend
okay so in the sarcifice ballas literally says "They figured out how to look into a ulgy broken thing and take away it's pain" WHICH IS ABOUT ALL WARFRAMES AND WHY THEY LISTEN TO THE TENNO.
I did, that’s why I thought warframes weren’t clones more rather that specific one was made by the person (ie Arther being excal and umbra was a father)
Warframes ARE clones. Of specific people.
they are clones well copies
Umbra himself is technically a clone
of a base warframe
Because Ballas atomizes him during the quest
that went through trauma.
Umbra is honestly a very weird case
And DE just doesn't really seem interested in explaining or exploring that
the funniest part of the sarcifice to me that people don't always notice @rotund light is UMBRA WAS IN THE MOON UNTIL AFTER THE SECOND DREAM.
Since you rebuilt that specific Excalibur Warframe, it's is that specific Excalibur Warframe
HE'S BEEN IN THE MOON FOR 1000 YEARS
it's because the trailer doesn't play in game
HE GOES TO HIS OLD HOUSE iT"S GONE AND HE GETS BLASTED BY BALLAS
All miracles require sacrifice…

They need to put all the trailers in the game fr
The ominous heartbeat monitor:
because SO SO SO SO SO SO MANY of them are actually important and lore relevant
Yea I noticed it was on Lua
But yeah this and the Techrot Encore trailer
And the Kuva lich trailer cuz that was awesome
Yeah Codas are so confusing if you haven't seen the trailer
WE LIVE NOT LONG
That one is in the game.
Is it still in the game??
The humble gregory emails:
You can replay it.
I know the Sister of Parvos mail is
I forget how but there's a way to replay the Kuva Lich intro
also oh my god I LOVE the coda intro here
The story of 1999 unfolds further. It seems more than just The Hex were infected with strange new powers… Meanwhile, the Technocyte Coda rises and new stories and characters emerge in the latest addition to Warframe.
Caught in a web of time travel, Infestation, and heavy metal madness, you’ll encounter Temple, the guitar-wielding glam rocke...
Go into your messages and look for the worm queens message
I'm pretty sure theres a button to replay the intro cinematic in the Codex.
Idk the whole cloning thing kinda devalues the protos. My first thought was the frame template was as vague as a human outline and specific people make specific frames like Aurther being the only excal, Eleanor being only nyx
isn't that the scene that plays at the start of a Coda fight?
No the protos are based on the existing templates for warframes.
they were described as batches from the start
Those templates were created by exposing Helminth to people kind of as you describe
There were hundreds of Excaliburs
But it wasn't just them personally they were modified and changed.
Maybe even thousands, long before the Tenno went to sleep and reawoke
I guess but it still is a good hc
Hundreds of Excaliburs and somehow Litch took them all
Look the Lotus took out a lone from the Corpus.....
Yea don’t put salt in the wound. You do realize I came from another fandom where they love angst for lore right?
And you would not believe the interest after a thousand years
No?
I'm sure that's so traumatizing.
Would they still remember the line because corpus didn’t form to what it is till after old war
Corpus are from the Old War
Look at my name, should give a hint
ngl I'm excited for Old Peace to give us a look into what it was like at the height of Orokin power, I'm hoping for it to give us insight on how Orokin society worked, how the Tenno were used
They formed because the war actually took so many resources that mercantilism could be useful
Bingo, you get a cookie 🍪
I feel so sorry for you
Seeing a franchise be beaten to death
....I think the last CoD game I played was
uh. Before Modern Warfare?
Not the remake, the original
Eh got used to it after seeing a drag queen nik with price breakup ending in 💀. Our fandom is trying to cope…….but not in a good way
Ah, it's like Destiny fans, but not as bad
I only look at zombie campaign I don’t really care for main one
Destiny made a D2 mobile spinoff, it’s not going well….
I heard the mobile version was actually better than the main version??
Netease is pulling a bungee
which is cuhrazy
Same.
Can't be as bad as the titanfall fandom
Also
Low bar.
wait no I worded that wrong
The bar is in Descendia
But the devs (net ease) are starting to act like bungie
as bad as what they got?
I am scared to know
Titanfall fans got Titanfall 3 shelved and replaced with Apex
Which is finding out a new one was happening because they announced it was cancelled
that too
yyyyyyup
Oh yea heard about that
Apex isn't BAD BAD but for a fan of titanfall its like, pissed on Titanfall 2's story and basically cut all plot points for a post war world and streamlined the amazing movement into a battle royale which got more popular then Titanfall 2 ever did and now people associate titanfall things with Apex
Cool titans that defined the gameplay? Gone and now you get to play as normal characters without any of the wallrunning and fast momentum.
Those cool characters you know from the campaign? MIA except for 2 and one's an old man the other has amnesia
The entire war that defined the two games? Over and welcome to criminal gangs and syndicates
At least COD gets campaigns and keeps the COD brand 😭
well, except for Ghosts
lore discussion but its COD
no one talks about Ghosts
We already went through the lore discussion
Now its time for off topic
there's no more lore to discuss
its all solved /s
...

For clarification, devs aren’t fully listening to comunity about issues. They originally marketed it as gacha but somehow geared to to shooter looter and shafted the gacha people and several mechanics like daily energy and stuff isn’t great and needs rework. Content also takes like months to get new in compared to other gacha it’s once a month new lore that takes longer than an hour. Also revenue started tanking like after second month but the report it kinda biased
Also the thing with the girl getting powers from a titan battery
Like at least Valkyrie’s jetpack is kinda reasonable, why tf did they give someone a comic superhero backstory 😭
"Do you remember, Natah? That first day? How our father lifted you screaming from the manifold? How we sang?"
Cut to ironmouse singing
Don’t get me started on the main campaign of bo7. It’s a slap in the face to its predecessor. Also ghosts lore I liked wish it had a sequel that was screwed over
ERRA CAMEO HOPES
huh
HUH
HEY
Is this religious propaganda or did Praghasa and Hunhow really make the Beasts
Their collabs are getting weird btw we just had wwe and while earlier Nevis and buthead
Yeah but at least you can ignore that one
see that wasn't even the Pazuul/Erra line I wanted to highlight
Last time a campaign was ignored it was woven into main story line (chaos zombies)
"Bite my head clean off, Mother! That's where the good meat is! Suck the guts until the little legs kick, kick, kick!"
I still think Praghasa's awake
Yeah but like
Titanfall is barely referenced in Apex and is just used for the "It happened but now its over and we're using it to contextualize our own lore"
Her being not as dead as we thought would be interesting
Iirc Lotus sorta restarted her so
Maybe something can be done for her?
what trailer?
We don't know how Pazuul fused to Erra, no?
wether Narmer adherents did it, Praghasa or even Pazuul himself somehow
IF we're right about Praghasa being awake
BIG if
Then Erra's voiceline calling to his mother is about her dropping Pazuul on
is it the one of the roundtable arriving?
The techrot encore trailer, yes
does narmer have a purpose anymore? they seem like a small faction compared to like grineer and corpus
they'll expand on pazuul Soon™
They cause lots of problems for the Corpus and Grineer right now, but relatively background stuff
Tenno actively keeping them down along with Kah;
I suspect Tau 2026 will be Pazuul repairing the solar rail and going to Tau with Narmer
hence why he's been gathering resources and data in Archon Hunts
sounds like a logical plan
even if he's bloody mental at this point
How can we pin this on Ballas....
we don't need a reason just an excuse
does anyone have a clip of Eleanor saying shes gonna snog the Helminth?
Im sorry what
"If you don't pay attention to me soon I'm going to have to snog the Helminth"
What can koumei actually do? Because it seems she is either the most powerfull Because she can control fate or she can just control strings and see nearby future.
Solo 99% of fiction
She is a pet rock
How did they get the kids off the zariman and back into the real world
The Zariman is the real world, and they got them off by finding the Zariman when it came back from the Void and then taking them off
since flare will turn to temple and will come back just in time to help the tenno to kill the orokin, does it mean that flare/temple is the very first warframe ever?
Depends
no
By timeline placement, maybe
But solely due to time travel
Actual Temple strain was rejected, we don't know how old it is in comparison to others
Strictly timeline wise yes, but chronoligically HAHA no
besides timeline wise its still a bit iffy because eternalism
Eternalism is irrelevant
in that timeline/universe (of 1999) since entrati went there to create the frames himself then yes
It's the direct past not an alt timeline or whatever
It reaches us from even before radiation wars so it pretty much sits there even before other frames have been even conceived
Even before orokin
yea eternalism is multiversal right?
Before everything
Wf eternalism is theoretically accessible multiverse
The theoretically part is very important there
i should have listened properly during phasics class
I loved that part of the game
i forgot the definition of eternalism
Oh yeah we have a complex in universe thing to explain
Let's literally make the player go through a class where it is laid out
Everything is now

ahhh ok
A thing that so far hasn't actually been relevant
wait wasnt that presentism?
No presentism is the normal theory of time
ahh ok
i think the theory of quamtum immortality applies in here
you die but your consciousness flows to a universe where you dont
Not really
hmm but when i think about it thats in so many games where respawn is a feature lol
Yeah that's a case of ludonarrative dissonance
Gameplay, no lore
Unless it's explicitly explained like borderlands
Or dark souls
Almost typo'd borlerdands, I'm running on little sleep
Or even Destiny, except for when your raid team wipes lol
Schrodinger's cat but with extra steps
Every timeline is real and theoretically accessible
It’s basically just multiverse theory but the idea of being able to reach another timeline is now slightly possible instead of not at all
So about timelines... I still see to this day that old peace is supposed to be a different timeline caused by the events of wf 1999 is that true ? The whole old peace seems to be memories of tennos from the past, so it doesn't make it a different timeline. ?
Yes, people just got confused by something Loid said
Some people thought “polluted histories” meant like, literal other histories that had been altered or something ig
People are kind of assuming it's a different time line for reasons Rodney mentioned plus the existence of eternalism in general. But for the most part there's not really any reason to assume that the past events we see in the quest didnt actually happen
Also DE told in the official site that it's the actual past, so not much room for arguing
Sharing the source JIC https://www.warframe.com/the-old-peace
Warframe players using Eternalism for everything bro
The whole old peace seems to be memories of tennos from the past, so it doesn't make it a different timeline
Thems your memories dude
"Ma child, remembre that time you're died as revenant"
And then the zariman went back into the void on its own?
Orokin general method of geting rid of problems is either: destroy it (Silvana) or trown it into the void (Kullervo).
So, the original ship either got sent to the void and came back or got destroyed and the curent ship is the Drifter's version
No official fixed lore iirc
The current ship is actually a bunch of different ones
Not like “the wreckage of different Zarimans fused together in the void” it straight up is just multiple Zariman 10-0s
Drifter casually drops it in an Eleanor KIM
Yep, but that's one of the few times eternalism is actually used, that's why I said the Drifter's Zariman came back
Wake up everyone something is happening
I came to post the exact same thing, lol
Same difference?
Even during the Old Peace, we still fought
whatever it is. i feel strongly that it's "memories of"
wait does memories not actually fit 😨
lol
No way, they're actually making an arg
not the first time they have
Ah, thus confirms my own stance. Neat
Do we have any in game confirmation as to how many emperors there was?
The wiki says seven, but the sources cited don't specify any concrete number, simply that there were several (due to the use of the plural)
So 3 more 'prick slaughter' stories to the Leverian, nice
Question - Was Ballas one from the 7?
Yes, that's undisputed
7 as in 7 executors. Ballas is one of them unsure how many there were emperors above the seven.
He was one of the first we ever knew of
Ballas and Tuvul are the 2 that were confirmed and udisputed
I am unsure if we even heard of emperors before today
we did like once
The only thing that every mentioned Emperors was an old Prime shoulder armor
Targis Prime I think
Also mentioned in Stalker Codex
Thanks, just confirming it
Well that and 2 others karishh and avantus
But aside from dying they haven't done much
That you know of
Ballas didn't even know other Orokin were alive
Cause one Grendel eats the other is gunned down by grineer I believe
Avantus was shot by Veytok iirc
The 7 we just got told about missing Nihil possibly means he replaced someone on the list
Or they just misspelt his name
Karishh and Avantus were Executor, but nothings confirmed them as part of the Seven
Same with Nihil
what exactly does being an executor entail? is it tau related?
or we don’t know enough?
i dunno if executors was mentioned b4
They were
didn’t catch that ig
the actual word executor is one who sees through decisions/plans, usually from a higher command
executives etc.
so they commanded Orokin and made the sentients?
we know they were among the ruling group of Orokin society, yes
They held trials for greater criminals
we already know Ballas made em and the warframes for sure, didn’t know he was in a group to do this
"The Seven" are all Executors, but it's still not 100% clear if the title/role of Executor is exclusive to being one of the Seven
Oh dammit lol
Actually it was a saw!
:3
I want to buy that Grineer a beer
Out of the proto frames, who has the best kissing technique
Eleanor, but you wont survive it
Technique? No
At least half of those mfs go off pure, romance-writer-written character instinct
Executors are always apart of the 7 wdym
Emperors? That's just another name for the executors
The thing said that the 7 responded to the emperors
Where was this, mind gettin a screenie?
Ill try
This
I dont think it was confirmed
It was just implied
Not even implied it was just never specified
There was one statement that he was one in Kim from the Drifter
H16h V0l7463: when you get turned into a cephalon do you get to decide what parts stay and go? like who does that? who does the coding bit? how does all that WORK?
Drifter: Most times? It was Executor Nihil. The Glassmaker.
Idk guys that sounds pretty definitive 😭 apparently nora also identifies him as such?
But this is also years after and a one-off character
Im literally nihil's only fan atp
Sounds like you could be an Executor, but not one of Seven.
Ehh..?
Like different levels of Judge IRL
The 7 and executors usually go hand in hand don't it?
usually, yea
Ah
Nihil is on the Court of Appeals
Not made it to the Supreme Court yet
Worse than an executioner, worse even than an Excruciator
A lot of people thought this was talking about Executor
But she was just talking about how he was this super boogeyman
Worse than an executioner, worse even than an Excruciator. When my tired ol' grandma didn't have time for my nonsense, Nihil was the bogeyman she said was gonna come put naughty Nora in a bottle.
Mind backing up a moment?
This mean "Excruciator" is an official Orokin position/title?
...
Who the Hek is responsible for that name?!

With the new info, the Seven were the Executors that worked directly for the Emperors, and I guess Nihil represents the level below that, Executors that work for the Seven
I hate everything.
drifter Would Know too
either executor is not unique to the seven, or there's been a mistake somewhere
Drifter was literally raised in orokin society, of all people they'd know
Or, I'm considering this now
One of the Seven changed their name at some point
possibly, ig
bet that would be a No-Prize solution though
alright which one of them got deadnamed on the stream
Chat they're called the seven executors, makes it sound like to be a executor means you're apart of the 7
yea, the title seems exclusive
My bet is on Nitokh
That last one is interesting actually
Doesn't really align with the other naming patterns
Just like on The Boys TV show, the existence of The Seven does not preclude more. Just that these are the most important
is ballas homander
Ehh
It kinda does when there's a set amount of people 😭 there's only 7 executors
Sorry, not how it works
Ngl, I'm kinda used to this sort of thing
I have to deal with the Thirteen Primes, after all
not really, no
seems more.. guttural? than the rest. closest would probably be karishh
Oh this is so real
It is curious. It doesn't line up with like. any orokin naming patterns we've seen. Looks more like the language spoken at cetus
That was the popular belief before today, but there had been nothing that actually confirmed that. The only hard fact we had was two of the confirmed Seven were executors.
We have iy confirmed by today lol
"The seven executors"
Its one in the same.
I think we had a debate on the like, wording of the actual specific names they’re referred to with a while back on the archives server
Yes, they confirmed the Seven were all Executors. That was never the question, it was if the known Executors were apart of the Seven
They aren't, as confirmed with Nihil
They are, confirmed by them calling it "the seven executors"
Nihil could've just been later or earlier
Yes, something that only happened today. They were only just the "the Seven" before hand
Yeah and
And no, there no reason to think Nihil is some exception
... one could've just died or was removed
Nihil was breaking rules, he could've been removed
tbf, he could also have been removed for embarrassing himself with the whole Gara Prime incident
Orokin love to break their own rules though.
Sentients is like proof of this come on.
Uh huh
The dagath thing the Ballas dating Margulis. Ballas just doing almost anything tbh.
The Dagath thing was secret
And also the couple had so much prestige that no one would even think of outing them
Ballas and Margulis, undoubtedly the same
Archimedean’s were presumably a quite high up group, we’ve only seen actual rules for relationships when it comes to Dax (their warrior caste) and it was an Executor of the Seven, so even if there was an intercaste rule he could just rewrite it, as they were said to do
Hey guys i have a question:
What about the live in warframe's youtube channel? Whose names are the people who appear on screen?
Are they random players? Founders? Developers? Beta testers?
Is it the names like Sunny and stuff?
Those are presumably more Tenno NPCs
NPCs as in, the literal meaning of the acronym, like those named kids from the Zariman flashback
I'm pretty sure the names are actual players.
I don't think the writers would pick names like "KingTempest06"
Ah
Most of the screenshots I saw were normal names
I thought something was off when there was a guy called Thunder
Thunder was a Tenno.
Sorry what now
Yup
What do you mean?
The syndicates
If you mean the syndicates the relays are controlled by the Tenno But also none of the ones that hate each other are beside each other.
Look at who they are beside they either like or don't care about them.
Ok I mean they’re in such short proximity
the relays are pretty much safe zones. everyone who is there isn't going to do much more than scowl at each other
Should have said that but then that goes back to my first point.
Gameplay mechanic. They all, at worst, just tolerate each other enough to realize helping the Tenno would be good for everyone.
It's just hate mail
doing SP
teammate spawns new Loka Squad
Try to fight it
downed waiting to revive
Death squad of ancient eximus
Wtf New Loka where did your genetic purity© ass get those
Red Veil can be super annoying in the right scenario
Getting 4 charger eximus on yo ass while fighting Corpus
I'm more concerned by the fact that New Loka, a bunch of purity obsessed ecoterrorists who can't even consider Grineer as people, will send ancient infested on your ass
What resources can we expect from Tau?
and by that i mean, the Orokin were interested in Tau because they stripped the origin systems out of their natural resources at the time
wait what?
That explains why you fight warframes in Perita
Didn't you see the devstream?
I mean for the most part we're only in memory lane this update
Look its called the greater good
Tauron strike nodes, aside from focus, also use Askaris Prime as a resource
nope, life didn't allow me unfortunately....
Not this update
Doubt. There's the mission dossier at best
I think that's what was asked
More like a star chart full of new planets and stuff
I don't think they'll make a whole stat chart size
But yeah i can see why they wouldn't do it
probably, yeah
At most I imagine there being a couple tilesets that can be interchanged with different mission types rather than making like 7 nodes and that's that
also i'm checking the warframe site for new stuff i haven't heard off
and what is this "tauron" school?
is it a new focus school?
They mentioned a new School too
something along the lines of a "rediscovery of a focus school"
huh... the giant boss is called HUNhullus
Kinda reminds me of Hunhow's name
not your fault but uh
the hunhullus is explicitly a Sentient weapon
and requires an actual Sentient to pilot it
so actually more of a gundam/mech instead of a sentient itself
I think its closer to a solo pilot jaeger?
theres some mind bridge thing involved
lmao
sentient have their own transference confirmed?

Sentients are easily split by parts
I imagine it's not hard for them to attach new ones
That's fair
I wonder if they can make a new organ out of any material
also, this prime vanguard event, seems like DE is trying to facilitate the acquisition of primes via Aya.
Since we have so many primes now and only 2 per prime ressurgence rotation this is gonna be fun
Yes, prime resurgence is in fact for us to be able to get primes
Primary surgeons
What are you on about?
Primary surgeons obv
Prime sturgeons...
welp
wrong chat?
I come somewhat often
Also like
What kind of lore does this thing reveal?
I do have to say, I don't like how the Orokin are yet again portrayed as the cartoonishly evil villains in the prelude challenge. Like, if they were such a successful empire, there must have been at least something they did right. Constantly portraying them as evil makes them cartoonish and unbelievable.
A real life history example would be the Assyrian Empire. They were pretty screwed up in many places, but they obviously weren't all bad and mustache twirling.
er
thats a "might makes right" kind of thinking
What they "did right" was by taking control
also, Ive only run the preludes once, what made you feel like the orokin were "cartoonishly evil"
because I didnt repeat it enough to remember
the thing at the end of the preludes is a fairly standard "we'll cover this bad thing up" as far as i'm concerned
That's oversimplifying it. Might makes right doesn't fully work for such a developed society. Examples being the Soviet Union or most such dictatorial regimes. They were all "might makes right", but it ultimately lead to collapse and falling behind everyone else, while the Orokin lasted for a considerable amount of time and developed incredible technology. No real life society could be that dysfunctional and last for that long.
Oof, might wanna take a look at certain "imperial" forces active today
Was going to say
Not the prelude itself necessarily, but it adds up. Example being that every time they're mentioned, we just hear about how bad they were and absolutely nothing else.
That's the entire point though
that's. kinda their legacy. they got massacred for it
All the technology, all the beauty, all the culture isn't worth how terrible they were
I won't get into real life politics, but nothing irl comes even close to the dysfunctionality of the Orokin, with the exception of places like Somalia or North Korea
The collapse is genuinely better than continued Orokin rule
nothing seems to mirror an empire lead by greedy oligarchs?
get at least seven immortal assholes in charge of a governing body and see how far they go. that's the orokin
My man, I'd rather live in Russia than the Orokin Empire, thank you very much
No no, that's fine, but if we just got a few nuanced Orokin characters, it would make it much better. You know, individuals that wanted to turn the sinking ship, but were too late
Grandmother
Adds to the layers of tragedy that we see in stuff like the Horus Heresy. I genuinely enjoy that type of writing
Though, the rest of the family is only good because the Infestation forced them to feel empathy for each other
Fair enough point, one character is better than nothing
What
I mean then you'd already know how plausible it is for an empire to be run "successfully" while dysfunctional
No? The infestation (and maybe wally) made them hate each other, we the tenno made them get along 😭
You just need to avoid events that damage your control and you can be as dysfunctional as you want (or until someone comes along and offs you)
To be fair, Russia has changed leadership and territory multiple times, it's a really messy history, with still some good individuals/tsars in the past. I'm just saying that we should see more morally nuanced figures in the Orokin Empire. Tragedy hits even harder when you know there was a glimmer of hope.
im a lil confused about what the "big egg" is
Same
terraforming device from what I can tell
||Worldseeder. Seems to be a terraformer||
they shouldve called it WorldEgger
We have the entrati family
called a "world seeder" apparently
though idk what its doing in the prelude
That's what they are.
we really didn't get a proper description of the enemy in the prelude did we?
so some other hunhow or praghasa level sentient that weve just never heard of or seen before?
They are the different orokin who show care towards lower castes. They even buried the dead.
sentient? nah its just a big device
structure more than sentient
they might've built it though
To be fair, they came off as more indifferent or self-interested
Servants and possibly their old yuvans
why would they need something else to terraform tau when that was their purpose
would using the world seeders to terraform tau not count?
Why would the guy building my house not use a hammer
is that not like getting hired to do taxes and then using part of your paycheck to pay someone else to do it?
voidgel orb,,
I mean they had but
my point is that they themselves were built for the purpose of terraforming if they needed a big not alive ship to terraform from they wouldve built that instead
no, its like getting hired to do taxes and then using your computer instead of your hand
Indifferent to us maybe but their actions as unit changes that.
They buried their servants in the ossuaries they had, Albrecht is in a relationship with a regular person who he views as above him (a "god" sees a person as above them), the entrati family sees us (a regular human) as family as well, Grandmother gave her name to a warframe (which orokin viewed as objects so like wow)
Overall they're pretty decent
so if they figure out how to make a tool that's better at it, they shouldn't?
another part of their development is adaptation.
Meant to reply to this mb
I think the idea is that the egg is some sort of biological substance carried to enable the process. Meanwhile Sentients are machines meant to propagate and sustain it. Like it's literally called World seeder. It carries seeds of life
plus it makes those metal flowers die
but they wouldnt have been assigned the task without sufficient tools to complete the task efficiently which in this case is a computer
theyre adding a middle man
No worries, but yeah, they're fine individuals by Orokin standards. A shame they weren't higher standing
It's terraforming, you're supposed to bring an ecosystem there, not a bunch of robots
why is the assumption here that the worldseeder isnt a tool from the Sentients
technically you can blame albrecht for that
hard to be higher standing when your family legacy is defined by "weird guy in a cave"
That's true lol
'he did that really cool and useful thing the one time but he's been very weird since'
Relatable
I'm just like him
I used to make custom stages for MUGEN that now a lot of people use in their modpacks
And now I'm non-binary
real
ok anyway what about the gas that they mentioned that seems important
Effevron jumpscare
the radiation is the important part
the gas just seems like a usual "warcrime chem weapon the area please and thanks"
Idk, but it'll probably be a part of the quest
The gas thing I mean
And the radiation too
Seems like a worthwhile ground for an area gimmick
They are of high standing wdym
The entrati family are one of the most influential orokin families like. Ever.
Would be funny if it's straight up just effevron that turns out orokin have been using to this day
I figure if the Hex and drifter really cared to figure out exactly how far apart they are in time they could measure stellar drift.
i'm tentatively guessing the radiation is like kuva in some way?
kaya kinda has
I thought they just thought he was insane? Burdened by the knowledge of the otherside type shit
And like. He must've been normal for a while
Albrecht "horrors beyond comprehension" Entrati
I'm surprised the powers of the drifter and their warframes haven't come up more.
If ballas thought he was insane why would he give Albrecht those strains?
-# unless Albrecht went creature mode and stole em
The coat is actually hiding all those strains
The Entrati were a highly respected research house.
And also arcane energize
Yeah, cept the head went "insane". The same head who has those strains.
Albrecht "a reflection but with dimension" Entrati
Albrecht "Old Men Yaoi" Entrati
Albrecht "if i am to be a devil let me be a honest one" entrati
You also have the deployment of the grey strain during the Old war. Which was used to deny Deimos to the sentients. Which means that they also had other infestation strains around.
That doesn't matter. Helminth was specifically from ballas. Specifically the strains he had.
Albrecht had contact with ballas
Oh no totally, but I'm saying, the Entrati were at the forefront of void research. Infestation interacting with the void is a big function of the warframes being infested puppets who channel the void.
Well. Uh.
The infestation hates the void
It does hate the void, but the warframes are conduits for said void energy.
if efervon had some weird interaction with transference the drifter would definitely have noticed
The Helmnith does know the Man in the Wall, as we see by the references to the Smiling One.
Not talking about the radiation
I'm talking about the gas?
Those two seem completely unrelated
Like the weird radiation was found and they gassed the place
Would just be funny if they still used effevron ages later for their life bleaching duty
i doubt theyre using the same poisonous gas for techrot and warframes
Effervon seems to be incredibly corrosive.
It wouldn't surprise me if a good portion of it was just straight flourine.
I mean they're both infestation
Wouldn't be too far off
Effevron still deals dmg to us
i would also be curious to know if the thing that "sealed the operators within their warframes" is somehow related to rell
To mix the universes a bit, I wonder how the infestation would interact with the flood from Halo.
They each seem to have deep metaphysical connections to their respective universes.
infestation changes molecules, i think it would probably subsume the flood to the best of its ability
There is also the issue at a certain level of progression the flood infects basic reality and time too. However that works.
we got aliens in warframe, pack it up everyone /s
Would be the first life forms not descended from or made by humanity or related groups.
Related groups being a catch-all for life native to the origin system.
Kinda! The exact phrasing actually allows for life to have been found on other planets in the Origin System, like the Venus mycelial network we know as the Undermind
tbf Id classify that as non-alien life to Origin
Right, just thought the phrasing was interesting
are the naga drums and octavias anthem different?
Drums are the instrument
Anthem is the song she played on them
they just, dropped the names of all 7 executors while also confirming the existence of the Emperors??????
seemingly
i'm not sure how we're supposed to take the 'emperors' bit though
theyve been mentioned EXTREMELY rarely in odd bits of lore in the past
it was never clear if they were seperate from the executors or not
but this confirms that
yep
ballas's actions seem weirder if there was someone above him
i dont see it as above. Obviously we know nothing about them but personally i see the Executors as the Legislative/Judicial branch of the Orokin empire, with the Emperors as the Executive Branch
but uh, that naming convention is awkward lmao
because the executors arent part of the executive branch?
Okay this is funny Cuz Lizzie (the Infested Guitar) talks about how She can see through time
And see all the Infested at once. Techrot to The current future.
assuming his boss's are hands on and not just letting the executors run shit in their stead
so considering we rarely hear of the emperors, according to tabvee, and that the excecutors have been generally upfront and center to most of the known desicion making of empire, it can be assumed the emperors have all the power but do little in the management of the empire
How so? He's still functionally one of the people in charge, and having a boss doesn't' change his narcissism or wanting the Orokin dead
The Emperors really looking like stupid figureheads rn
or like uncarring board members
he gets away with, and takes credit for, a lot that you'd think the emperors would have an issue with
unless they are entirely uncaring
i do remember hearing something about the emperors being in cryopods or some shit years back
so
there's the possibilty they just don't know what hes been up to
I dont think thats a thing
Most likely not given I can't remember where I heard it from
It could also be figurehead sovereigns.
I kinda figured that the executors had done away with the emperor and rules "in their name", Gondor-style
Or the Emperor and the Shogunate.
Speaking of Executors, they were all name dropped
Nihil fans in tatters
Man made Cephalons and wasn't even an executioner
technically it just means he wasn't one of the Seven at that time
maybe he was earlier/later
drifter refers to him as an executor in kim chats
he could be self proclaimed
I hope we get to see some of the executoners that haven't been seen yet
only named
no
yes
assuming that the statues we were seeing are of the seven, we've seen (likely) karishh, (likely) avantus, and another fem executor in that stream
Also possibly different levels of Executors
Also bear in mind an executioner and an executor are two different things
guh
imagine if we see a statue of nihil there LOL
did drifter say executioner or executor?
executor
executor
oddity
the statue farther down the corridor from the second fem executor kinda looks like nihil
but there's not remotely enough detail to tell, i don't think
not nihil. new image
wait someone quick remind me which 6 warframes are the prime vanguard on tau?
caliban, mesa, ember
uhh
is khora one of them?
no?
Protea Caliban Mesa Ash Ember Volt
Hm
chat commence aya grind now
okay anyways the interactive preludes basically confirm that margulis is already dead by the time of the old peace
fine,,,
varzia is apparently giving vanguard
it was practically confirmed already, but yea
more evidence for it
she has to be dead for the tenno to be weaponized, and they've been weapons for a bit
mmm she could've helped them to channel their powers to support the schools of thinking/focus schools
to sort of train them to think and use their powers to help in the war
Caliban Prime [but back]
nah they'd likely extend his stay
caliban prime but i can buy the tauron suit because i have regal aya and not regular money
not just that, khora is right there
oh yea
like even if someone holds onto the idea that Marge didnt get executed before the tenno were used in the warframe project
oh yeah um i gots a question for the "arg" (is this an arg idk) is there a map on the interactions to get each school?
@strange plinth @lean garden
khora definitely proves that she must die before the old peace
Here you go.
thanks
Where from?
"i made this warframe to commemorate getting catfished"
Stream?
I like how this prime vanguard isnt even all the primes we saw in the first trailer
No? He says the prime is made cuz he misses her.
and then he commemorates deliberately catfishing himself
"heehee they dont know where I hid marge"
marge
The freakrokin
the orokin*
-# they're already golden FREAKS
I'm including Varzia in this too since she's selling thee vanguard
she a different kinda freak and she can't help it
HEY she's a Dax.
maroo kinda 😏
Disaster bi.
Disaster?
Have you talked to her
Does she realize she's talking to a child
She's a hot mess.
About wanting to do things to Teshin
isn't she and teshin the only dax alive, or well now its just varzia
yeah
Idk why more didn't go for the cryo strat
Well teshin is still alive.
Just in duviri.
i mean yeah but in our universe/reality he's gone
even then he's still a former shell of himself as he used to be
you just gotta keep in mind the core philosophy of each school when choosing the actions
Bet there'll be a guide soon enough
it’s easy to put together that each answer corresponds to a school
but also each technically numbered option are all in a particular school
Yeah so you could just go 11111, 22222 etc
oh perf
in just an hour of play i got all five eido lenses
but whats up with the first selections of warframes
🤷♀️
they're tied to the tenno in the glitches, i believe
don't think they impact anything though
tenno in the glitches?
They’re tied to focus schools, probably serves as a tiebreaker selection
They might represent the 5 schools with the other 5 glitch tenno maybe being the vanguard? Some of their names could align but it may be a stretch
the glitches after each question, ||they have a quote from one of the team members||
oh yeah 1 last thing: is this an arg?
if so, this is my first despite 8 years of playing :3
Rhino: Madurai
Ivara: Naramon
Wisp: Zenurik
Khorra: Unairu
Nekros: Vazarin
Kinda?
Rhino for Unairu
He’s the tank
That’s the tank school
nah madu for rhino bc he's a dmg buffer
i had gone into it earlier in #spoiler-chat, i'll paste it here
Perch, both the name and what they talk about, lines up with ivara. huntress n all that. links to daikyu
Sunny would be linked to wisp through her 4th, and gunsen was tied to wisp for priming
Snapper has dual keres, khora's weapons
Ghast has reaper prime and also talks about dying lmao, obvious link to nekros
Thunder is.. weirder, kinda. silva & aegis isn't really tied to rhino, nor is thunder. though the quote is kinda related to rhino, i guess?
Captain pointed out that rhino would be tanking, so 'sword n board' fits that
Alternately he’s the only tank there?
who are they?
perch, sunny, snapper, ghast, thunder, and captain?
am i missing smth?
captain is someone in this discord
the rest are part of the prelude, in the glitches
mb
Friends of the truth sayer who left the secret. The fated ones that didn’t make it.
wait prelude? ohhhhhh
I’m curios to see what the ||radiation|| is
For? Why to kill tenno!
wait we already forgot, we're getting chekov'ed at some point ig
chekov'ed as in chekov's gun
Step 1. Irradiate and trap the tenno
Step 2. Kill the frame
-# i think thats how its spelled anyway
i mean maybe its like a reverse orphix field
Chekov’s radiation
Chekov’s finger
What other chekovs we got?
It’s a natural anomaly
Whee I'm canon now!!
They destroyed it unless they bring it up again.
is it tho? orphix's harness it to protect themselves and murexs have shielding that also have the same effect

They might
Yes they will bring up a super dangerous thing and just never use it again
HEY IT'S HAPPENED BEFORE. Lmao.
Now that I think about it they picked five Warframes that don't have pre established lore to get in the way of being on Tau and permakilled
I mean... imagine if thats whats waiting for us in the egg during the quest
I doubt it will happen again
also those trokars use orphix field bs
Then how did we get out
its 100% not a natural anomaly
Iirc the radiation under the egg was
unless you're talking about the radiation being the natural anomoly
The orphix tech is the exact opposite effect
... also what egg
The world seeder
Protagonists are built different
huh
The big egg
oh that big ship looking thing in the distance
In the prelude under one of the eggs is anomalous radiation
it was like being controlled by rebels?
I eated it
great. now I HAVE to do this arg
ty guys
Have fun... Storming the egg?
Just click the glitches when you see them and scroll down at the end to find the truth
oh yeah the old war happens after they send the zariman right?
T minus 9 hours until the old peace
Send but not find.
Wait
I don't remember.
didn't we saw one in the demo at tennocon tho ?
zariman's return is unknown, but it was definitely sent before the old war started
there are multiple
so they send sentients to terraform then send zariman after to arrive at tau after the void jump, void jump fails and is stuck in the void for sometime
but only one with the weird rift if i understood correctly ?
the one that seals the operator
then they send the new tennos to tau again to attend tauron academy to develop their powers?
after a bit of the old war between, yes
only one with the weird radiation that we know of, yes
5% luck 20% will 15% concentrated power of will, 5% pleasure 50% pain, a 100% reason to remember the name
okay thanks !
so perita rebellion is in the old war but isn't the cause of it? or is it a lengthy battle leading up to events of the old war
sentients made and sent
orokin impatient
zariman made and sent
zariman incident
sentients finish the rail
old war part one
warframe
zariman returns at some point around here
warframe + tenno combo
old peace
old war part two
night of naga drums
During the tennocon demo the operator mebtions to adis about them being at war before
now we can throw in "at least one zariman from 1-9 made it to Tau"
So there was for sure some war before the academy
oh yea true
old war part 2 has to be between the sentients?
and then we kill the dax in the naga drums?
old war part 2 is hunhow destroying the rail and erra's assault on lua
oh and then it becomes a war on two fronts where some forces fought erra and others were trapped on tau fighting?
thats likely, erra must've fled to tau after being "hurt" by the tenno and lotus and then hunhow stayed behind to destroy the rail
Uhhhh what?
erra can't flee back to tau, he'd die
Also couldnt be in origin in the new war if that were the case
then where has he been hiding the entire time? on a murex?
Yeah
Murex or Praghasa
They cant go back hunhow blew up the way back
the sentients only got to origin by hiding inside of praghasa to avoid dying to void exposure
they just got scarred instead
scarred? whats that do to them? just make them weak and unable to reproduce?
Yes
god praghasa must be massive massive to hold the amount of sentients that we've encountered thus far
She could eat the sun so...
She is , we see her in the old war cutscenes
We fight atop her in the new war too
yea she's. large.
I meant New War cutscenes lol
Just in case someone needs context
It's the one in the background
oh wait thats what ballas was tryna do
Yeah
another view for good measure lol
System destroying, universe is a little bigger
wait then whats that ship we see in the thumbnail for prelude to war
also her
Nah Florida
J/k
florida is 100% ground zero for the rad wars /j
Drifter in 1999: "Oh my god! This place is a disgusting, dangerous battlefield! Did someone detonate one of those infested bombs they used on Deimos here?"
Amir and Velimir: "Nah just Florida"
Is the operators existence wide known now? Imagine random grineer watching a being who’s known is a nigh invincible war machine charging at you and then a random 13-year-old just materializes inside of it
modern origin system, no
even just the warframes are still myths, somewhat
we hit specific targets and stay away from large populations
we only interfere enough to stop any faction from growing too strong
Wait what
worldseeders , the big egg thing
theyre from one of the zarimans 1-9
Ah
its from the stream that's been running for a while now
roughly every hour (minus a few) there's been a little lore drop
It's not that wild.
Good to known that's where they are from though.
... ill just wait for the stream to end and someone published the clips
I meant the world-seeders being from them bit, ik about 1-9
Yee
I still wish DE had made merch with the Zariman mission logo.
Karishh, Ballas, Scarne, Avantus, Tuvul, Tormis, and Nitokh

Also according to the ARG the Orokin had found a way to seal us inside our warframes?
Ngl now it looks like either they were going to kill us or we were going to kill them and we were just quicker
well, it seems to be a naturally occuring anomaly there
they were just willing to send a bunch of tenno in and let them die to seal it
which isn't particularly surprising
I need to see the Night of the Naga Drums now
I want to know exactly what went down
And more precisely how much of the Empire we destroyed
"Remember, no Orokin."
I’m surprised we didn’t destroy the solar rails
The Old Peace happens a long time before the night
We could get some pieces of what did go down maybe from the lobster devil guy [i forgot his name]
the bloodshed began at the ninth drum beat
and we got most of the orokin during the night of naga drums if not shortly after
roathe lol
How much Orokin lore do you think he's going to give
Would hurt the civilians too
no idea. i think most of what he'll give us will be more about him than the larger empire
while the old peace itself will have more about the empire?
So I assume Tuvul (confirmed), Scarne, Nitokh, and Tormis were killed on the night of
With Karishh being killed by Grendel during the collapse along with Avantus by the Grineer
Leaving Ballas
Voruna leverian describes tuvul's last moments
Although we don't know what his role was before he tried to, [spoiler]
He could've been very high ranking
draws sword
his armor is grand carnus iirc
So he was Grand carnus of the Orokin
Probably not too far below an executor tbh
So we are basically gonna be playing a very high ranking Orokin
he had a more proper title somewhere. probably a devstream summary, but idk where to go find it
Thinking about ht
Roathe might be the highest ranking Orokin left alive
Wait a minute this is busted as shit he can access the gene locks
Time to replay the sacrifice with Roathe
I don’t want to spend 275p again 😭
But I will, because I want the skin 🗿
Nihil's.. around, sorta
he may not have been one of the Seven, but he was still important
True he is an alive executoner
we put him in a jar
Vice Regent Grand Carnus Roathe
if anything worthwhile has survived, though
🗿
Something has to have
Unless the Grineer and corpus truly picked it all clean
Hey so is this stream on a loop? Do they repeat any of these occasional lore beats?
Oop sorry to ping I'm not wanting an immediate response
