Let my girl speak
But if it’s not an experiment and is to save her?
I don't think he needed to experiment ON her, just WITH her
In 1999 I mean
We know he already did something with her when she died the first time
Mm. Maybe?
We don't fully know if kalymos died, just what loid suspects
I mean whatever he did fixed what was wrong lol
that cat was dying and came back fine
Maybe her body died, but her oro was stuck between the real world and void
Two plus two only equals fish when moon logic or the Void is involved
If oro is even real
True
Lua logic
Unlikely. Oro probably doesn't exist, and is probably just a philosophical idea
Conclave lore says Oro is real
since Lunaro is literally training to capture and destroy it
Warframe lore really does pop up in the strangest places

Funny story about Lua, I didn't know lua lenses existed until last night (been playing for a couple years now lol)
pfffffffft
If they got oro then how
And if thats the case then what the heck does wally want from us if the void can just make oro
Afaik the leading theory on what we owe him is our oro
oo that's kinda cool
See I think it's the other way around
We offered our light
He accepted our light
What did he mean cause we met somethin’ different?
What Wally wants is flesh
He has immortality
He copies bodies but they're not really real
Oh
So
He gets finger
Makes us pay up
Takes either Operator or Drifter and the other one has to save everyone, somehow
Not like Rusalka is for him
I hope drifted doesn't get shafted
Lotsa love and passion
Also she embodies the five spirals of Duviri
Oh yeah i should schizopost this here too (i sound delusional when explaining this)
Have yall realised the top chat has no text yet? You can see the other's first letters well enough to tell which letter is which but the top one doesn't have one, also i don't think the eye being there is a placeholder as all other places where the triad's symbol is, has their symbol, and you'd think it would follow the set precedent that the hex has with their group chat, yeah?
Along Came A Spider follows the spirals, which is a neat detail
If we choose which one gives themselves to him then one of us gets briefly shafted and how the other beats him relates to their respective post lotus eater quests
Drifter with love for the Hex
Operator with, uh. Trauma? Grief?
The Lotus herself
We could see a playable Lotus for a quest
We can customize her energy and that’s never seen at any point
At least with tOP Lotus can finally get off of that ledge
I'm guessing that the finale of the questline will involve different segments for Drifter and Operator
Drifter will probably have a Duviri section
Operator... Probably relives the Zariman incident again
Drifter relives a portion of Duviri and gets out thanks to the Hex (not literally)
Operator relives the war and gets out thanks to Lotus, Adis, literally anyone they care about that they’ve helped lol
Only this time with extra parent killing action
It is the only trauma we haven’t directly relived
Just remembered enough
(optionally)
Does WF have an arachnophobia toggle?
We remember in the war within but we don’t see anything, just remember it
A more vivid version post Deal would be cool
No, I don’t think it’d need one tbh
Oraxia ain’t that bad and the Orbs aren’t either
I've heard Oraxia set off a few people
Was just thinking, Oraxia:
But it's grapevine stuff
Yeah lol
I have it and I’m fine with her
they did their best to avoid the common arachnophobia triggers w/ oraxia but its still hit a few people
Reduced amount of legs
Yeah
She hits the same as uhh
The iron spider??
Are you good with centipedes?
HA
No
pretty sure its part of why the scuttler walk animation looks so goofy
I think some of it might be arachnophobia hypochondria? If that's a thing??
XD
Like I gave myself arachnophobia as a teenager because someone mentioned they were afraid of spiders
Oh fun fact
I’m pretty sure they reused the bones for the rachnoids for the weavers in Soulframe, those are spiders but have the same kinda leg structure
I always thought of them as the lil viruses out of Alan Becker's animation
It wasn't for a few years that I realized I didn't need to worry since I didn't live in Australia
Huntsman be like
Them getting around arachnaphobia by making all spiders have 4 legs instead and big without those eyes works p well
Huh thought
Did DE start working on Oraxia because they were looking to bring back wall running?
I want a wall run for her
Originally Oraxia was going to have full wall movement
I’ll take an augment even
And ceiling
Potentially, something that I've been thinking of tho... They have like 3/4 of the upcoming warframe (concepts and models) done and ready
That's kinda crazy, that meand that they already know the story that far ahead
Oh yeah just design wise you need to be way ahead in terms of concepting and writing
Id LOVE to work at DE
Because stuff moves around and needs to change for all sorts of reasons
Yeah, Id love to see the concepts and stuff
Like, Lavos was originally going to have Cyte-09's body
But they didn't think it worked quite right
Temple's been banging around since before covid as well iirc
Yeah, Id love to see a voidframe concept, maybe an angel typa thing
True, but more actual void focused
Fair
I think we need a tau frame
(Not Caliban)
If I ever teach myself rigging I'm doing void angel skins for Xaku, Kullervo and Sevagoth
Perfect choices
I just want a Dante skin 🥲
Please DE
Were gonna get his prime and deluxe before any
Xaku
I hope a possessed Dante becomes a boss fight
May he cry during it?
Didn’t the original get taken by Walldo
Uh
He self-deleted
Yeah
As it was happening
Also Xaku for a void angel skin would make sense
Ofc any frame lost in the void would but Xaku specifically utilizes the void like no other frame
close enough for government work
Sevagoth and Kullervo just got lost there
Dante just read a spooky book relating to it
But Xaku? Whole different relationship to the void
Literally, in a way they are born from it
Yeah i was just saying I need a Dante skin lol
Xaku I think conceptually embodied themself
Heck the reason their void tendrils or “void spirits” exist is likely due to conceptual embodiment
Gatsby type shiiii
Three frames that wanted to go home
What came back was none of them, and made from them
Or
Lost

Also yes we do need a Dante skin
@placid cypress go on the steam workshop for warframe and look at the dante skins and helmets
There’s a banger helmet that’s like
Hands?? Or a crown?? Idk its exposed and so cool
Lemme check (in bed rn it's 2am lol)
I hope a Dante Deluxe gives him glasses
Anyway
Lore
Xaku probably CE’d themselves into their present situation
Yeah that's my working theory
Though it's also possible that the family was responsible for the conceptual embodiment
They wanted to see the Warframes back and didn't care how....
Seen this heirloom concept
Apropos of nothing, but Higasa and Amanata having unique base damage augments makes me wish that Koumei had a unique aura augment
the beard should be longer tbh
they wanted results so hard that they certainly got a result
The void giveth
Xaku is weird cause
Does the rest of the family know of them? Grandma does, she expressly gives us their blueprint
but the rest of their blueprints are from bounties, and iirc all those rewards are things we find?
So they maybe knew?
Then we have Xaku Prime and also the fact Xaku has multiple things that tie them to not just the entratis but Albrecht, primarily the names of their void abilities
who named Xaku's abilities?
It could easily be they themselves named them, being a being made from the void and factually having mastery over it to some degree they could easily have learned some voidtongue words, especially the important ones like Xata and Lohk
semi-related cause I just want to gush but Xata's Whisper not only imbuing the frame with void energy for their weapons (alluding to the power source of the frames) but covers the frame in infested goop (alluding to their infested nature)
I wasn't around between Fortuna and June 2023, but isn't Xaku a community-designed Warframe?
They are, yes
I don't think that really changes anything since
they're in the game
Nova has a whole leverian and she was a community made frame too
Ah ok
I think things just worked out really well for DE, Xaku pairs wonderfully with Heart of Deimos
Fractured family comes together || fractured warframes come together
I still don't get why people don't wanna go back to diemos when it's the best open world.
Their lore is literally lost fragments that are now together as a composite, a family of sorts that's origins lie in the Entrati Void expeditions from the Orokin Era
But that's just me.
also like
Being voidy
Diemos is also the only like open world that doesn't have a side mission mode thing.
Gravimags in the recipe that used to force you to lvl up Fortuna to max are also here
Like Fortuna does and Cetus does.
Duviri, staring you in the face;
(its different tbh cause the gameplay lol)
instead Deimos gets major lore relevancy and 3.5 syndicates
I mean I WOULD TAKE IT.
No that doesn't count.
that is just the sanctum lol
I don't count a connecting area as that.
Probably open world fatigue and burnout. Not only is Deimos yet another mostly self-contained content island, but it needs content from multiple other content islands
That doesn't feel like it's correct.
I want to explore the unum tower again
but the undermind is a connecting area-
HAH
I still think yall need the word content island taken away.
it's not even part of the open world
its UNDER it
The Sanctum is UNDER the rest of Deimos!
Okay yes and no.
It's kinda what the word means but I think diemos connects enough.
Fair enough
We don't have to go into it.
Still though
Anatomica is Deimos Undermind, they even have an annoying corpus person messing everything up
That's the isovaults
i wouldn't mind a little isovault expansion tbh
In order to get some of what Deimos has to offer, especially building blueprints, you need to deal with the Plains and Fortuna.
DE have reduced the grind, but they're still grindy
Yeah same, they feel
Sigh
PRIMED to have more to do there
500 jugulu mods
Okay I was a iso vaults lover. Did what's it called.
By the time you get what you need from the other two places, you'll be burned out and not want to do Deimos
not to derail this gameplay discussion but
Is the grey strain and helminth strain the only known named strains?
The thing some bosses have.
mutalist
Mutalist strain
Coda?
And then by the time you do Deimos, you don't want to ever go back
Does coda count as a strain?
Coda is Techrot
No?
i'd say the codas count, yeah
Codas might count because the weapons are named that
Why?
mm guess you're right. Helminth is a few steps away from techrot
they're kind of a branch of the techrot
Also I think Techrot is the original strain
I think this is more true of cetus and Fortuna. I think doing bounties that have real rewards is funner than those two but anyway lore.
I remember dialogue that mentioned Lizzie communicating with Coda weapons.
An offshoot maybe but Coda still has the absorbed technology thing going on just like Techrot does. Just look at the unique Coda weapons - Bassocyst, Motovore, and Dual Torxica
Torxica
ok Coda weapons are absolutely helminth strain. but mostly because they arent techrot
Ealnor says the weapons like have personalities
Thank you
And she talks to them.
Not helminth strain no
we have two helminth-strain characters talking to the coda weapons
Why?
That's what makes Warframes
and guitars
What do you think the coda caustacyst's personality is?
They are both infested. Infested can talk to infested.
Or Coda Pox
Technocyte is the name of the virus
All the Infestation talks to other Infestation. It isn't Helminth specific. Lephantis speaks to you through your Warframe and they are both made of different strains
Also Ealnor has mind powers.
Techrot is the nickname in 1999
And the infested speak through a HIVE MIND.
Infestation is the nickname in the Orokin Era
So she would hear them.
@waxen mesa
She also does canonically talk to the guns
i'd say infestation is a genetic edited version of techrot
Arthur has a convo about it lmao
Yee she also says is in the vendor.
the orokin discovered techrot. spruced it up a bit. then things got out of hand
No, again, they're both nicknames
No it was ALREADY out of hand.
Technocyte is the proper name in both times
Earth was already consumed by it by then.
Eleanor mentions she came up with the name techrot in one of her newspaper articles
ok look me in the eyes and tell me 1999 techrot and origin system infestation are the same levels of out of hand
In terms of scale? Yeah pretty much actually
Techrot in 1999 is confined to one city
I'm saying this isn't exactly what happened.
It was a problem before then.
Infestation in the modern Origin System is confined to small planetoids that no one cares enough about to eradicate
That's what the 100s of radiation wars before the orokin rule where about. @waxen mesa
The severity of it's spread seems to vary. Specifically during the Orokin era there are a few separate times of it getting out of control like when it was unleashed on Deimos or when it landed on and took over Eris I think?
Both are capable of breaking out to a much larger problem if people get stupid about it
Like, Plague Star ends with Cetus getting wiped out if the Tenno don't pop the boil
In the current state of the game I would argue it's just BARELY under control
And then rampaging across Earth
Because Vay Hek is a moron who cannot control his instincts to smash the place for not submitting to him
Like for now we have it mostly confined to Deimos, Eris and a handful of dark sectors and daralects (spelling is hard)
The Unum actually calls in the Tenno to stop the boil before it scales up like that
Derelict, no As at all
English is weird
Thank you
Before we woke up, Infestation was just confined to the fringes of the system.
After? During Once Awake, Doctor Tengus lets out a sample of Infestation and now it's a big problem all over again
Oh yeah I forgot about Tengus
Tbh they should probably actually add him into the game somehow
So it was pretty much limited to, like, Deimos and Eris and that's it
Now there's Dark Sectors and random outbreaks everywhere
Deimos actually was stuck in the Void too
It drops out right before Heart of Deimos starts
Since DE is touching up early game stuff anyways they should fit a Tengus mission/boss fight somewhere
There are already so many Grineer bosses
We need more corpus bosses
Or infested bosses, even
Tengus could be a corpus boss tbh
He was doing bio research for the Corpus last we heard
What we need are some of the old bosses redone with DE's new touch ups to boss design. Wherever those touch ups fit in ofc
That's been happening
Vor most recently, and Jackal before that
Ironically the one who needs it most is Sergeant
Interesting. But isn't the Infestation, like... allergic to the Void?
They dislike it immensely
Whoops. I thought I was in general 😅
Loid: "We are in crisis, Tenno. Our defence against the Gray Strain has failed. The Necralisk is in lockdown, but it doesn't matter. The Infestation has compromised the very Heart itself. We have been forced to re-phase into Martian—"
Deimos presumably had Void shielding around it like an Orokin Tower
Mutalist Tengus. Best of three worlds
When does Heart of Deimos take place canonically?
After Apostasy?
Or after Second Dream?
Ah ok
I know it's early-midway through the star chart but it also wasn't a mandatory path before Undermind
Now you go through Deimos to get to Jupiter,
Prereq I think
Deimos is so confusingly early
You can't even technically leave the necraloid syndicate area without fast travel
Bc the door requires transference and you haven't unlocked it yet
And are still rather far off from that point in the story
And the open world is noticeably more difficult than other open worlds
They turned it into Caelid
For Uriel's four it could have been amazing to his design philosophy had it applied 10 stacks blast and 10 stacks slash with 10 stacks heat to everything in the area that really commands that nuke feeling that's both sacramental and scientific. Thematically making a vision out of hell itself as he casts a nuclear revelation made manifest via eschaton Shockwave and damnation.
Oh that part was always deliberate
It's implying that there's a secret to the Necralisk, which there is, and a secret to the Tenno, which there is
You can complete Mars and get the junction to Ceres but it's a dead end. To get to Jupiter, you go through Deimos
Actually i forget whether you have to go through the Cambion Drift or not
They made Cetus and Fortuna non-mandatory as well
But new teacher quest asks you to help Fortuna :(
fortuna is still required via junction quest requirement, cambion drift is the same
Doesn't Mars Junction require Cetus?
i want to say it does? but unsure
Ah yes, I forgot about junctions and their requirements
DE change those so often lmao
Nope checked and it doesn't seem required anymore
cetus is indirectly required by chains of harrow, then
still have to meet onkko and get the amp before it lets you do chains
traded one for another
Deimos used to be the Orokin Derelict, didn't it?
Yup
I was there back in 2017
The space tile set still is derelict
I take it the moon was a whole Orokin settlement / facility like Lua back in the day?
the regular nodes are/were all derelicts yeah
its only necralisk and cambion drift that are proper deimos
yeah you can even see a road on the cambion drift
Afaik it was completely given to the Entrati family
bridge thingy
Their personal fief
They gave the Entrati an entire moon to themselves?
its not a very large moon tbf
Yah
Only 12km, yeah?
Still an entire celestial mass, Jesus Christ
I know farms bigger than it ngl
I took walks bigger than it
Basically it was entratis research lab
And or home
I just realized, the current arc of Warframe is just Pokemon Generation 4
Drifter is moving through time, and Operator will be moving through space (Tau)
And/or home as if it might not be 😭
I do wonder if Albrecht just. Had deimos before the void incident or had a singular lab there and then expanded
The latter I believe
latter
Don't they call it the entratii ancestral home?
Could be making that up.
believe after he encounters wally, he decides to expand his sanctum infinitely as a sort of labyrinth for the murmur
and uses keyglyphs to retrieve what he wants and terminals scattered about to pinpoint locations (netracell)
Tbf the term ancestral kinda loses meaning when they could all be living together all at once
I wonder how Albrecht managed to get physical copies of the old poems he apparently has
Probably does help he can time travel-
The labs are also likely too big to fit in Deimos, Now of course I am unsure if they extend into the void or if the void has extended into them. Because I feel like based on other Orokin structures they can make things bigger on the inside.
The normal labs probably don't but the sanctum absolutely does
They can, yes
My question is how does Fibonacci read them
uses the necromite drones of course
I could get komi, that's played with the mind. How is a fish reading a book.
and has a HUD in his fish tank
Are fish eyes even any good for that?
considering hes no normal fish at this point I would argue anything is possible
He is a normal fish, just a big big norg with special colours. I aint all too sure if the void modified their bodies for them to be able to speak
I think it kinda looks like Nihil's head thing
Is a lore explication why we can't swim on planets and on archwing mission we can?
the water in the plains is magnetized by the eidolons, the liquid in the vallis is coolant
also the archwing provides oxygen and we need that
Nice to know thanks
You can run over it with Gauss.
But also they don't wanna animate swimming is the reason.
I imagine that too
based on how deep some of those sea lab maps feel(from how many elevators we drop down), The archwing must also provide protection from high pressures as much as they do hard vacuum
I do sort of question why we need oxygen though. As the warframes we operate are synthetic. And for the most part even after war within we appear to conduct most of our operator side functions from the somatic link
they're still organic, though
"bio-drones under our command" as ballas put it
That makes enough sense. I do forget that even our models still make use of the infestation. Regardless of whether or not they're devoid of any actual sentience
@modest stream all Warframes are based on an original person
so there's something in a Warframe that can think
And latent programing and personalities carry on even into fabricated models
Only the originals though
Not the ones the Operator and Drifter pilot(aside from Umbra) right?
all
the ones we make have a far more dormant conscious, but its there
Or their tiny part of the infested hivemind, persisting up and down history
Okay gotcha
But yeah that's why your Warframe shatters War during Second Dream
It's as much protecting you as telling Hunhow and Stalker that they've made a fundamental mistake about what they're trying to fight
How does every piece of lore I learn about this game loop around to making Ballas more evil
yea that sounds about right lol
The worst thing about the Orokin genocide is that we didn't get him
Im only thinking about this because of the Prime Access trailers
Man literally turned Yareli into a prime because she made him look like an idiot in public
Mostly Yareli and how hes so pissed about how she refuses to conform he just, tortures and murders her????
oh sure "sacred yuvan" we all know
Yes
@jade forge
The only times warframes can be determined to be actually autonomous are if we can rule out tenno control, this applies to an extremely select few frames.
"Most" doesnt come close
And how he made Gara willingly under going the conversion process her problem because she mocked their ways
Also the implication he had his hands in the creation of EVERY Warframe in some capacity is even MORE evil
not quite murder, technically
Oh no, that was actually about making fun of Nihil
THATS WORSE
Gara was like "put me in chief, I know what I'm in for" and Ballas was like "ok"
Nihil was the one who pitched a fit, and so Ballas made Gara a glass-user to show him he wasn't special
"You pranked me one time so im condemning your mind body and soul to endless torture at the hands of a voidborne disease"
that's the one and only time I don't think he's to blame for it
"so others shall wear you now, fatuous nymph" or whatever he said
Oooh
No cause how tf does he somehow keep matching the straight up monstrous shit he said to Jade in every Prime Access trailer
Because he is a monster
Take a person, a wonderfully brilliant person and give him every bit of power a god could dream of
And stretch his life out across thousands of years
Truly an unfathomable amount of evil in one person
his most monstrous action is not talking about garuda prime /s
HA
Ngl DE should go back and give older primes trailers
but no seriously he's thousands of years old, and is a super genius with a god complex
Just for some lore stuff, I wanna hear Ballas' thoughts about the people that frames used to be
Mesa
Wait really
Yeah
Oh you meant in universe lol
Alad V just managed to hack base Mesa
She doesn't have a prime access trailer with any narration sadly
which is a hfs moment in its own right don't get me wrong
Protea does
yah
I think that one is funny
That one is peak
"Daughter of two fathers" or whatever
I do appreciate that Ballas clearly wants to strangle Parvos
"You can't make a Warframe that controls time"
Lol, lmao even
"child of two fathers" + the tension
Yeah but who doesnt
EXACTLY
See ballas/parvos is a funny ship
Wth is the protea in the deadlock protocol a base model? We know Parvos commissioned protea prime. Is what we see in deadlock just what's left of her?
It's a specter, explicitly
prime could've been kept for the orokin while the regular was given to parvos
"The Entrati have violated time. And I have violated them."
The original Protea presumably popped creating the time bubble that saved Parvos when his ship blew up
I'd like to imagine Ballas screwed Parvos over somehow and has proper "ownership" of Protea Prime, leaving Parvos with the base model
Yeah Parvos stole a bunch of stuff from the Entrati Labs
Parvos in the protea prime trailer
No i know that
Idk why he phrased it like this but it is Ballas
That one was Parvos talking
Sounds like something Ballas would do
Oh, still insane
Im the entrati lore nerd guy i know that shit. Just. The word choice.
Sorry. I didn't come built with a filter
Speaking of Entrati, what is going on with the Indifference rn?
word choice + the way he says it lmao
I mean... give albrect enough to drink and anything is possible
I know it had its hands in 1999 for... reasons and kidnapped Rusalka and dragged her onto the isle of scholars for... other reasons?
To find shit Albrecht left
Albrecht was in duviri for a while
no activity since it trying to take duviri
we all know DE intentional with that one
And that shit is... what exactly(do we know?)
I don't get how you fail to take something that's made of you. Skill issue on Wally's part.
So, Isleweaver is a petty revenge against the Drifter
Trying to paradox them out of existence and shatter the timeline
you know, small stuff
Ahhhh okay
"Violated the entrati family" Loid and his ekhein would like a word
"Jade Sired an Heir" wait what
shhhh
he's not in control of the entire void though, just his Great Indifference that's invading the labs
duviri is not under his control, as much as he wanted it to be
I did...nt
OUT
LEAVE
FLEE THIS PLACE OF EVIL
I watched a walk through of it and just never actually completed it
Out. Go do it, takes half an hour
go do it
Ok i wanted to ask what is mainly purpose of the indifference is to fullfill
Go do Jade Shadows and come back after you witness pregframe
That'd be the role of antagonist.
The Indifference from what we can tell is Entropy itself
See but if I get out of bed to do it now I'll be up till 9AM
It destroys timelines and remakes the dust left over into the Murmur, which are pieces of its body eg entropy
thing to hit with a comically large [insert object]
hahaha
We don't know what Wally's true goal is tbh He just wants his fingers and to kill Albrecht, which is pretty basic desires
man remember when we thought that the Vessels would be controllable
and we'd mod them and stuff
Oh. Want to kill Albrecht? There's a chunk of people who want to. Get in line wally.
Im still standing by the notion that Wally is a comically overblown Conceptual Embodiment out of Albrechts fat head
I would assume his goal is to turn the universe to the void or something close to that
Yeah probably
I mean that's obviously the next big gameplay gimmick.
so that is like cat and mouse game 1 is escaping and 1 is trying to get it done.
With how Drifter talks about them with the Hex
Void Titan battles.
Yeah big Gundams
maybe
lololol, here's a lil tippy tip, walk past bird 3 and tagfer and listen
or talk to them, I cant remember what prompts the line
Oh?
He just wants a hug
Or read what drusus says about the thing that killed dante
Tbf conceptual embodiment seems to go wildly out of proportion when the feeling that triggers it is fear of death, i guess.
Poor guy has so many arms and nothing to do with them
-# It wants to be known
I just find it very bizarre that Wally's actual enemy is the Drifter, who seems to be the only thing actually outside of his plans.
Duviri itself is outside his control
Well I don't believe he has unlimited control of the void in general.
to get the Operator back in action he had to let the Drifter out of Duviri
But duviri is a place, that came from the book that was opened and used in void.
Nope!
Yeah the Drifter created Duviri
Duviri is a place that the Drifter created to be safe from the Void
..by focusing on the book
I find it horrifically upsetting that Euleria wrote the tales of Duviri from the stories Albrecht told her when she was little
And he tortured himself.
He has the book in the damn netracells. HE HAS THE BOOK IN THE VAULTS THAT ARE STUPIDLY HARD TO GET INTO
I find it amusing that the one part of Duviri that Drifter really created is Thrax
No, thrax was also in the book
thrax is on the cover of the book?
Nope!
... yes
Thrax is Drifter's doll
All part of Albrecht's plan. He needed the Drifter to create Duviri so he could meet him in 1999
Thrax is in the book.
a doll of the character in the book
The character of thrax comes from the book.
KIM Conversation threw me when I saw it
You named the doll after the character
But it isn't Dominus Thrax of Duviri, it's the doll you named that
Okay I need answers, is Proto-Yareli
A. E-Girl twitch streamer
B. Relentless trickster and general nuisance
C. Magical Girl with water dragon powers
so it is, essentially, the character. it is still taking the place of the original thrax
Everything in Duviri is a void entity created in the image of the story
Except the Drifter, the Scholar, and Teshin
which kim convo
Thrax is still thrax from the book
and kullervo
Oh and Kullervo yes
and his warden
That's kind of a weird wrinkle.
Do we know the warden isn't actually an adapted part of the story?
The warden is from duviri but its weird i think
the warden is from kullervo
mix between B and C imo
Maybe just... CE'd them
Yeah I think he's just the setting responding to kullervo
its a manifestation of his guilt
But I guess not part of the storybook that's fair.
And it unfortunately looks like ballas.
ballas self insert LOL
Well not really "self insert'
No but that is something ballas would do
ballas non-self insert
Forced Euleria to insert him somewhere.
-# she drew him getting his head blown off/j
looking for it now
I found people talking about the convo, so it's nice to know I'm not crazy
Wasn't joking either Albrecht has the tales of Duviri (and a mother token)
This makes me upset.
arthur, r6c4
"I had this one - I guess you could call it a figurine - of this Dax child, that, well, I named after a character in a book I had. Dominus Thrax."
this it?
Lol Drifter really just replaced the actual Thrax with their own Thrax
Oh you guys don't know of the Albrecht shrine do you
What you mean the empty grave?
No my shrine
ARGH I swear I checked Arthur like four or five times
yes thank you
wait they fr put tokens in the netracells but still haven't fixed the random pickups in the cambion drift
My shrine
the huh
oh my god an Albrecht stalker shrine
genuinely, amazing
I have the biggest grin on my face
All but father and son's i think. They aren't pickups, they're just there
glast gambit be upon ye
but nice shrine :) lol
Its not done yet, gotta get all of the cavia's peely pix and Albrecht's one
I'd assume it's not Father and Grandmother's since they're not his blood.
No, grandmother's is there
That's weird.
makes sense to me grandmother's a gangster
Explains his relationship with Loid
yea, i meant that they've done something with the tokens (even just as decor) but the pickups in freeroam are still bugged
She's eat him alive if he didn't
His relationship with loid is not that bad actually
and yeah you used to be able to pick up family tokens in the Deimos overworld randomly
Its one of the best we've seen from an orokin
like toroids on the Vallis
Oh word? Neat
it got bugged like four years ago and they haven't fixed it
That's not exactly a high bar to clear.
Before you say Mother and Father, Mother stabbed father with her seriglass shard.
His work husband who he keeps locked in his basement and hidden from his family.
the bar is in hell
The family knew of loid lol
Daughter cut off his arm
I'm not actually sure that we know that?
Hell, son has a line talking about how Loid used to carry him around on his shoulders as a kid
Necraloid doesn't have shoulders
He's mentioned a few times
However, they think he died and was cephalonized
they don't know that he's been alive and in the basement for the last thousand years
Loid also, probably, helped raise Mother/Euleria too.
Fibonacci's line about Loid's ability to explain things in ways a child could understand, which Euleria picked up on, can be interpreted as he taught Euleria things when she was young enough to pick that habit up
we have.. manipulative and somewhat one-sided at best, whatever was going on with dagath, domestic violence
yea albrecht and loid are fairly decent compared to the rest. mostly communication issues.
-# i feel like i'm forgetting another example
Roathe and Rebecca
HA
Communication issues because they're dealing with (what Albrecht treats it as) a cognitiohazard 😭
yup
"Oh but power dynamics!" Albrecht sees himself as unworthy of loid, and thinks Loid as above him. Dawg what power dynamic, Albrecht is a wet rag
Albrecht's also playing games with each and every one of his personal relationships
I'm pretty sure he's TRYING to make them all hate and disdain him
With what, his cat?
The Hex
He doesn't have personal relationships. He keeps folk far away.
The Triad shortly
The Hex actually worked with him for a solid chunk of 1998
Maybe even more, the backstory isn't clear
The Hex's animosity for him seems too personal for that
Lettie I could understand because she's also a medical professional, and being used to spread the infestation is a betrayal of her calling
But Quincy uses the guy's picture for target practice
He doesn't hate Viktor as much as he hates Albrecht, and that tells me it's personal for Quincy
Rebb's probably the crazier one there ngl
Can't find a GIF of her eating the card because she failed to get Emet Selch but yeah
Oh my god is that what the clown makeup was for
Mind you she didn't start the stream off in make up
I literally never put it all together
my favorite part about that is she didn't start in the makeup ! that happened during the stream !
w-which stream was this??
The MtG card pack stream
She had COVID and was just opening cards on her own personal Twitch account
When the CD of warframe is just like us
I think my favorite Warframe stream moment might have been today
The Hex (excepting Amir) were there as a peacekeeping and emergency assistance force, they're a mixed bag but in their own ways they all believe in making things better.
Albrecht made them think they were doing good, and then used them as carriers for the techrot under guise of his vaccines.
That's a deeply personal betrayal for the lot of them, I don't really fault them for wanting to use him for target practice.
Where Steve blew Rebecca and Megan off twice
They were pushing him to get a tumblr and AO3 account
Then she beat the shit out of him
I come back to see ao3 mentionef
So he asked them if they should talk about Warframe omegaverse
Which means that Steve knows what the omegaverse is
This team is peak
DO NOT.
devshorts are occasionally very chaotic and this was one of those times
Of course he does, do you know how terminally online like all of DE is
DO NOT THE OMEGAVERSE PLEASE GOD
see you came back to see ao3 mentioned
This is why the void blinded Albrecht.
LMFAOOOOOO
Look there's already people who believe Albrecht/Loid did some form of mpreg
i don't even remember why ao3 was brought up
i know they were going to have steve debate people on tumblr but idr why ao3 was there
I came back to tell yall there's gonna be a food truck at the music festival im going to called "Wally's hotdogs" and how funny that is to me
what a terrible day to have eyes
Because they cannot understand the concept that Albrecht has an ex wife lol
Hey thats me
-# only as a joke w mates
No i do, its just funny
We don't fully know if its a wife, but he did have a female partner once.
It could very well be only for the purpose of a child
watch it be one of the missing Orokin Executors
Drifer I think implies its an ex wife.
We're still missing two or three
In the same chat, drifter says Albrecht has kids. As in plural. So its not really reliable
What's the chat?
Hhh lettie chat, icr which rank or number specifically
Neato
Drifter: Yeah... he abandoned his family. He had a wife, kids, and now grandkids.
that was fast lmao
Drifter: He had a family. Wife, kids, grandkids now.
Father fulfills a plural "kids" there, even if it's an atypical designation.
Ehhhhh
Son In Law isn't really the same as having a son
Especially in the context of what Drifter is saying
Mhm
I think it's opening the door to have a different Entrati family member show up somewhere
DE probably just messed up. Again.
Hey it's me Jared Entrati how ya doin
Roathe is Albrecht's bastard child ?!?!?!??
And when we exclaim "this is bull!" they can point to this and say there was evidence
.......you know what that'd actually be cool
Maybe the tenno killed one of them who knows
We haven't had a singular mention
And then Son and Daughter still remember their uncle Jared
That's the one memory that sticks
Okay but we haven't had a singular mention of all kinds of things
ye olde plothole or future opportunity debate
DE rather frequently just pulls shit out of their asses this is not new.
actually I wonder if there's anything in the story that did start as a mistake that they rolled with
Or just overgeneralizing in a fairly casual conversation
I mean... who ever said we got Roathe's last name
Obviously gameplay wise it happens a bunch
Would go hard
It would be particularly concerning if Albrecht just forgets his second child randomly. Loid too.
Actually shit that'd be a good twist
dammit Bau I can't laugh this hard after exercising
Considering they shouldn't have memory loss.
Watch me mucking call it
Maybe he has a failson
Whh
Roathe gets "backstabbed" by daddy
god, it'd be about PROTECTING Roathe (kinda)
Who he doesn't like to talk about
No, i uh. Don't think he would.
Albrecht doesn't talk about family period
He does
and thats why Roathe threatens albrecht about being in the same room as loid
He talks about his daughter
In his personal notes, yeah
Loid talks about the grandkids, and missing them.
The daughter who was slavishly devoted to him for centuries, yes
Oh god there's an even easier answer
"Devoted" homedawg she's missing her dad
The wife took the other kid(s)
Maybe Drifter was referring to the Cavia
Inb4 drifter was referring to freaking kalymos
That's actually not that implausible.
even before that, she spent most of her pre-infestation life as his assistant and cheerleader
And its going to be Roathe
Considering Albrecht made one part of his defence system look like kavats, maybe
Especially considering how much they revealed about him already
Albrecht is a cat dad smh
Yeah. Like most daughters will be for their dad?
Okay she is a fairly extreme case
Like I was thinking "what? He led that insurrection and stuff?! Crazy, why wouldn't they save that for deep in the KIM?"
Imagine they're saving Roathe being Entrati's son for that mid-KIM twist instead
Dawg even i was, and i didn't have a super good relationship with my dad
Like the tales from duviri she made into a book and I guess curriculum about emtional development for children was just some shit he made up and forgot about.
Did they say that he came up with the void exposure procedures?
Which ones?
Man i don't know about yall but i definitely remembered the stories my parents told me before bed
The ones on the Zariman and that Euleria wrote into Duviri Tales
You also aren't an infested immortal being losing your identity
nah dude Im imagining that roathe is going to say something like "Isnt that right? Father." And albrecht walks out
We're talking pre-infestation.
My bad I'm an infested immortal being losing my reading comprehension
And then Vey Hek floats out
because like, I thought what happened is that Albrecht breached the membrane, came back, and then started his one-man and cat and lab assistant war against Wally
Man i had dogshit parents and they still did that
So Albrecht isn't seen as a crank anymore, but he's no longer interested in the wider empire
So Euleria takes over as his representative
He seems to have actually drafted the Drifter in pretty early, even if that took a while to pan out
Crank... gotta explain that one for me chief
Like, the term? Or why Albrecht was considered one?
Yeah because he met drifter in duviri 😭
Oh he was absolutely thought of as a fringe whackjob for a while.
The term
Until he got the fingers.
Oh it's a term for a crazy person
Inadequate first, revered second, insane third
He wasn't seen as insane until after the void incident
before, iirc
It seems the void was basically a boondoggle to most of the Orokin.
He mentions that his obsession with the Void made all the other Orokin treat him like a whackadoodle
Nah, just seen as inadequate and strange, but not full on schizo like they thought in later days
"It's a void there's nothing there" etc
Then he cracks it and steps in and the Orokin realize THE POTENTIAL OF IT ALL
Because of the Big Fingers.
Insane as in the "oh he's just odd" compared to "oh he's seeing people and hearing voices"
Yeah kinda
Not a bad guy (by Orokin standards) but wasting his time and brilliance on stuff that doesn't work
"It's your kids, Drifter! Something's gotta be done about your kids!"
While after the void incident folk thought he was like. Clinically insane. Like he is hearing tapping on the walls and schizoing out from it
Just saw a r/WarframeLore post but apparently Albrecht's VA does audiobooks
So yeah afterwards he goes full mad hermit
Yeag
Of a ... certain category.
my fellow tenno, Ballas does car commercials
Im aware
I've never been able to find the original one posted here again, but it's the funniest thing
He has a sample site for his voice acting and its funny as hell lowkey
that was aimed at Arkadia sorry
Oh
I got automodded for sending Ballas' VA's sample voice site 😭
Yeah I have to download the clips and upload them manually
Throwing myself
Very frustrating
I think someone mentioned he also played the scientist in Superliminal
Mhm
He does!
He was born to play evil geniuses and people pretending to be evil geniuses
I'm kicking myself because I have to replay the game but for whatever reason I don't have access to it despite renewing my PSPlus
I'm referring to Superliminal
Nvm im dumb
When I played it, I believe it was one of the monthly games
So even though I didn't have my subscription, upon renewing it I should have been given access back
Unless I'm mistaken and it was just one of the Extra/Deluxe tiers
It probably was ngl
who is clem?
a very nice Grineer who likes the Tenno
i suspect the clem we know of is just a spectre
??
whats the reason? was it like kahl?
bit of a long story but I'll make it short
Phorid used to be kinda scary
Now he's a joke we steamroll over, but basically some 4channer had a grineer lancer help kill Phorid
And followed the team to extraction
i thought that was john prodman. or do clem and john prodman have similar origins
wait you're right Prodman killed Phorid on his own
Found the original picture and it's even funnier
during a Grineer mission, a Grineer lancer sided with the Tenno
And followed them to extraction
Datareaper (now passed forum poster from the Bad Good Old Days) thought this was hilarious and did some comics about the friendly lancer who wanted to be a Tenno
anyway DE thought it was funny and after two years of CLEMposting, they added A Man of Few Words into the game and Clem became canon
which one was phorid?
that was kinda funny actually
infested boss that shows up in invasions currently. dunno if it had a different or dedicated node then
big infested charger
Hes just built like that
Like Steel Meridian and that other group we extract in that one mission
Kavor
He has two masks
He’s just that cool
Grakata Chief
Started as a community joke that was later added as a joke character in-game
similar to John Prodman
Does this mean Wally's nickname might be used in a kimchat one day
Please god let that happen it would be so funny
Definitely not by Drifter or Operator, but maybe by someone else
Nah i can see the drifter doing it
Maybe explaining it to the triad if they don't know?
I don't know if the triad knows, actually
I could see someone like Aoi doing it to reassure Drifter like "Well you can tell this Wally that we're gonna kick its non-existent butt!"
Wally does in fact has one— gets mauled by a pack of feral sawgaws
Roathe might, Lyon might not know of it per se but he definitely seems to be in contact with it currently
so he might recognize it when we describe it to him
Roathe might’ve just dismissed what Albrecht was saying tbf, this could be when Albrecht was seen as insane
"Ramblings of a madman, touched by the void."
Meanwhile wally is just laughing at Albrecht's ass and Albrecht is facing the horrors™
and Loid is crying at the thought of Albrecht's ass
Flat as a damn board
"I miss my lover, tenno. I miss him a lot. I'll be back."
wait Albrecht is just Snapcube Eggman
Mad scientist
Bisexual
Stuck in The Building™
Had his Twitter account leaked
Still not recovered from Albrecht being dadbod example 1 to whatever the hell he was in the comic
This is factual. I can confirm. I'm Albrecht's left shoe's lace
I'm just imagining the part of 1999 where the Hex see his message to the Drifter and then he comes back on like "By the way I'm bisexual I forgot to mention that."
See, Eleanor didn't even realise he had any partner, let alone a child and the required activity to have one
if any Orokin are true freaks it's the Entrati, they're the goths of the caste
She's like genuinely shook. Like girl i thought you couldn't stop hearing everyone's thoughts? Did Albrecht just not once think of his daughter? Like damn 😭
Or do we think this is a stanford moment and he has a metal plate in his skull that stops her from hearing it
Considering how Wally thrives on using memories and emotions against you, he might've consciously been avoiding thinking of them
That too, yeah
might have like an Albrecht Membrane or something around his actual brain
He would, he would
It's a painful comparison to make but he's the Rick Sanchez of Warframe
No, rick is a asshat and feels no real remorse (from what I've seen, idk i don't watch the show)
There's a bit more to him, but it's hard to talk about it without sounding like the annoying fans
the show has its ups and downs and Rick has moments where his old remorse does poke out through the apathy and cynicism he's built over the years
Albrecht is very much a more moral character but it was mostly just a joking comparison
old man genius who figured out dimensional travel and proceeded to make pretty much everyone hate him in various ways for various reasons
Ohh. I can see it that way
Id say hes a bit like Samuel hayden, but like. When Albrecht says "he has to do this" he does genuinely need to do this, Samuel hayden probably had other ways to fix it.
yep
Granted Albrecht is no saint and you can very much tell he's an Orokin at his core still
But some of the bad stuff he does, while still bad, does have genuine reason for being done
he kinda has an orokin set of morals in doing what he does, even if his goal is noble
Honestly? Its very iffy for isleweaver outside a few select phrases. It's a complete conlang that nobody is actually fluent in and has massive gaps in vocabulary. We got our Rosetta stone in like February of this year so we can understand bits and pieces but we have a long way to go.
Even with isolated vocals it's not the most accurate
Maybe the Orokin just have means of protecting their minds from being read or something
But imagining Albrecht just forgetting he had a daughter is funnier
I mean as funny as that is, he definitely didn't forget he had a daughter 😭 that's a pretty hard thing to forget. I think Albrecht was just. Not around the hex enough for it? Lotta digital communications
Someone help me come to terms with my decision at the end of new war so I don’t restart on a new account and lose everything. My brain has hyperfixated on this now that I understand the lore more. (I chose ||margulis|| for the appearance at the time)
Yeah, no coming to terms with the most morally questionable choice
You give a dead woman a second chance to live free of her abuser
Some reasons:
-In lore: All are still the same person, it's just that one personallity does the outside interactions
-In gameplay: The Margulis voicepack is the least altered with robotic noises, and changing the appareance is always possible and affect cutscenes
-In meme: "Stole yo wife" is the last insult to Mr. Ball Ass
Ok those are decent and I guess it’s really the personality drive of each “version” that is more prominent.
*The appearance in cutscenes is personalized, not the dialogue or Margulis title on the caps, tho. Little poorly worded
Yeah. I kinda wish there was just a toggle on the appearances that let you change the name
I find nice having some permanence sometimes
Imagine changing the baby's name on the go lol
S- "Feed Sirius at 8, then change Orin's diaper after and-"
OP- *live messing the options*
For sure, I just feel like I’ve ended up with the worst option haha. It’s really strange when you get the “good hunting Tenno” with margulis’ name tied to it
Tbf that was during Duviri era, hard to forget about your daughter if she is talking at you every time you wake up
Later on, Lotus has a voiceline where she implies she remembers the Jade Light
Which Ballas almost certainly wouldn't have programmed into her
hello can someone tell me how long the blood of perita events will stay
Till January i think
will it end before januray starts?
Dec16-Jan6 for the whole operation
Source: website
thanks man
I thought they said on dev stream that it'd be around for 30 days
eh 20 is enough
I mean I'm not complaining. I'd probably forget to do it anyway 😅
the time kinda sucks XD, i have exams till the end of december, and i feel like many others too have exams
good news that the event extends to 1st week of january
His lover is the family butler, but he is a wet rag in a lot of ways.
I wonder if Albrecht has an ex-wife that we'll ever get to hear about
Tbf i think its more "someone could love his ass??"
Ex partner, never named, but apparently Euleria has her eyes
cuz granny Dagath isn't Euleria/Gomiatru's mom, right?
grandmother is father's mom
gotcha
Though, Albrecht has interacted with her, if the grandmother token in the netracell means anything
you know what I just realized
tfw you see your highschool teacher out in the wild years after graduating, and they're doing some funky stuff with their life
lmao I just realized that's exactly the feeling I have now that I played The New War
whenever I see Mother
He is a great man but it was like. Hello what are you doing here
replaying some old story chapters and
....i dont get why we...are enemies of Parvos Granum.
he hates modern day greedy corpus. he pushed honest hard work, alliances with us and solaris, speaks of charity
the only reason i seeing peopel say online is "it would unify the corpus and unbalance the solar system's balance of power" but...if he's a good guy, wouldnt that be a good thing, end the eternal war and bring peace.
what bit of lore am i missing that makes him our antagonist. can anyone help?ww
He's hypocritical and a loan shark.
Have you done the missions where you get the currency needed for Dante's parts?
I love watching Corpus infighting tho
not yet o.o
Yeah, you'll see why.
like Parvos smack talking Nef, or when Nef and Alad V were fighting over that Infestation cure
Donating to the museum place so drusus can relax a lil
Also, speaking about him
He has a body he can buy back.
Does that mean he's not a cephalon
belly of the beast dialogue, armatus dialogue
he's still incredibly greedy and careless of those beneath him, he's just more active about getting his profit
wait, so what's Drusus' deal? is he brain-shelved or something? cuz it doesn't quite seem like he's a Cephalon
I think its kinda like nihil?
he's an odd cephalon but the aesthetic matches
Physical body elsewhere, still connected to the weave
ohh, so maybe he's glassed, but not fully cephalon-ified?
Someone has his body
Thats for sure, so he isn't a traditional cephalon
He also knew Loid way before it all
wait, does glassing someone preserve their body?
I don't think glassing is reversable
ahh
So him wishing to have his body back is... odd
Nora got un-glassed, no?
Yeah
She was?! Wild
She got glassed and then somehow unglassed
.... how the hell??
I don’t know, but it happened apparently
It was actually her body double, Nora Day
Stunt double
wait so un-glassing is possible then, I think?
Dora Day, even
Tora Twilight
Nora Prime when
wait, this makes me wonder if any Cephalons can ever be un-Cephalon'd
have we seen what any Cephalons looked like as humans? besides Suda/vaguely Ordis
I mean, normal humans ig
