Zeke is a reference to Zeke (there isn’t a reference for him i think bc he’s the frontman)
Oh ty ty
it's a reference to his beats being sick
warframe is a survival horror game disguised as a space scifi ninja game.
It's a survival horror for the grineer and corpus
Chains of Harrow was kind of spooky at least
Not eh
It was fairly spooky
If you’re a newer player that’s not as prepared, it’s spooky, even scary
Skeltns?
Not everyone experience is the same :p
If you bring xaku, yes
True, tbf I found one of the two vtubers I watch consistently bc they were doing the quest and being absolutely terrified
Schadenfreude is a german word for a reason I suppose
As someone who does bad with horror in general: Chains of Harrow is not scary.
Maybe a little bit on your first playthrough but.
Same
Even barely scary places like the dunwich locations in fallout make me just want to nope out of the game entirely
Well yeah on the first playthrough :p
Horror works best the less you know
Even on my first playthough it never really bothered me.
Fear is not like
Binary either, it’s different for everyone
There was a feeling of unease, but it never made me actually scared.
Unease is a good way to put the vibe
I was at most feeling lost sometimes
I think it partially depends on when you played and how early you played
Also your own tolerance and experiences with fear
A bit annoyed bc I had no amp yet during the final "fight", and some curiosity bc I related to rell a bit
I can handle unease, it's jumpscares that get me good. And Chains of Harrow doesn't have much I'd consider to be true jumpscares.
Oh for sure
In terms of jumpscares Warframe does it best with Wally
Meanwhile Lizzie with a
Very weak scare
I don't think anything in this game has properly scared me yet
The sound effect definitely doesn't help
It really doesn’t
I never got the Flare & Lizzie jumpscare, so I can't comment on it.
I just watched it
Me neither, had to look it up
Cause i aced them lol
Which maybe that’s why, we knew it was coming
But the sound is
Really bad
I'm too good at pretending to understand communicating to fail the convos
Or maybe you do understand
Definitely don't
Sound jumpscares are what get me the worst so...
It's. Extremely silly
It’s bad as in very weak
It’s not scary
At all
Oh.
Oh yeah there’s the margulis “jumpscare”
But thas not in game yet so it no count
Will it even be in game
It also goes too fast
Probably
Oh
What If that jumpscare just represents us unlocking the memories??
Especially visual shock value jumpscares
Since Margulis is the one who repressed them initially? So same tech??
Idk I’m reaching :p
Probably literally exactly same tech just going backwards
The Orokin or the Lotus implementing the same system that Margulis made
Guessing marge's system is just designed to lock traumatic memories so it went for the other ones even after she died
Depends on if it’s automatic
at first. but then you hear it for the 362462626th time & its like "shut up wally im busy crafting."
It's seeing him
And where he Is.
Cuz he can be in really werid places.
Remember the transference debug dialogue that teases the second dream
"Margulis implatation intact"
So is the next devstream about Old Peace?
Was gobsmacked by Duviri, felt like god of war quality
The Devstream in 10-ish hours will be about the Devil's Triad specifically, I believe. Maybe a look at Uriel's kit.
I'm guessing it'll start by going over the QTCC stuff, some other house keeping, show off Gyre Prime, then show off all the new stuff
I still don't get how Ballas manipulated Lotus so easily
i think its because Lotus mimicked margulis for so long that she kinda forgot who she was
erra i think says something about the tenno brainwashing her into becoming a mother figure to them
making her act as if the tenno were her children
Erra is also stupid and it was Ballas who actually did that
He’s a gaslighter
I think there should've been something to hint Ballas used some sort of other form of coercion to lure her
Maybe suddenly some red smoke appears, like a prototype for the Narmer veil gas
wasn't Natah literally reprogrammed (essentially tortured in her POV) so that the Orokin could control her?
“THE LOTUS is known to be a former SENTIENT previously named NATAH. She was captured and converted to her current state during the Old War by EXECUTOR BALLAS, a high-ranking Orokin”
yeah so Ballas could have set up either programmed control or mental controls over the Lotus
What if I finished Deimos but skipped all the story and now I just came back what do I do should I just skip rest of story or is it good
Skipping story bad idea story is good
Ok should I restart then
From the codex you can go to completed quests at the bottom of the quest page and click replay
could be her lotus form being still strongly influenced by her margulis form who was in a relationship with ballas
so if her margulis form was so strong it got her to protect the tenno and defect from her own people, those feelings for ballas probably were able to influence her too
alternatively you can watch lore videos if you dont feel like replaying
gives you more info on stuff that people might not pick up from playing themselves
or do both!
Any ticker fans got some info for me?
Wondering how she would interact and act with certain people
Didn't understand very well but here: https://wiki.warframe.com/w/Ticker
Ticker is a Solaris who serves as a medium for players to help pay off the debts of other Solaris, located on a platform above The Business' shop and can be accessed by a small elevator that can be found to the left upon entering Fortuna. By buying off debts, she rewards the player with two or three types of Debt-Bonds, which can be turned in fo...
You’d need an irl helminth
according to the lore itd kill you
Which would require the Infestation, or at least the Techrot
Neither of which would be real
Both of which would be something we’d want to eradicate instead of use
Nah some company would sell that stuff no doubt
Bio weapons under my command
“Don’t create the Torment Nexus” type shit
We technically have lifeforms almost related to the infestation, fungus or even the blob
Like if you look at our world and how screwed it is someone would 100% market and sell the infestation
And then we’d have a Höllvania moment immediately
Yup
They would either be an excellent food resource
And new bio technologies
If you were a Kavat at least
Like scorn
A warframe need:
-Human (Optionally "willing")
-Technovirus
-Stable access to another dimension (Optionally "alive")
-Advanced bioengineering tech
-Children (preferably traumatized)
-Salt to taste
I would say... No
there's a reason there's so few sapient warframes
Are you forgetting the constant agony the Hex are under even without being fully transformed
Therapy
Id rather you didn't war the frame
"Yeah, I just feel like no one understands the struggles of being a metal flesh golem that can just freeze people with a wave of my hand."
Happy Halloween, Tenno
https://youtu.be/in9y03iaR3I? watch with headphones.
Make your therapist a protoframe
saying that like the warframes weren't created for that exact purpose and Went Wrong
Fun fact
The machine gun was created in hope of reducing casualty in wars
Look at what happened now
It's different
A weapon to end war will always be a weapon to escalate war
Wars aren't necessarily "solved" by who has the highest body count or who creates the most new entries in the Geneva convention
Because everyone is going to have a full army of those rather than just making one or two.
See:literally every military advancement in human history you can't be this ignorant
Of course I can
Well at least you own up to it
Okay now you're just blabbering
yea this does not seem worth continuing
Indeed, also
The void language.. how this can be translated?
Never understood what the man in the wall said
By DE giving us words that are translated. We don't know the context of many of the stuff we get so we jsut have the songs with translations to work with
No it is.
context clues or Literally Given The Translation
Oull being infinite possibilities, Voull is implied to either be a question or limit possibilities
There are. Theres the ones from the songs on Bandcamp
Bandcamp?
Music platform
Mara Lohk
"What on earth is a "Mara Lohk"?" -Eleanor
Well, Lohk is known but Mara isnt
Mara is just the internal name for the operator sometimes, and a placeholder in scripts
yup
imo we have a fairly good guess in the form of "child" but its not confirmed
yea lmao
Makes sense tbh
Lore….
So much lore….
nova ⏩ rhino
this was a crazy devstream
Narmer’s back in some form
Albrecht’s exile
What the heck is up with Kullevero
The Descendia
Going to be eating with this until December
This means we might get an actual answer to what Deacons are
Didn't we already know what a deacon was?
?
So, can we totally theorize that vikings, american natives, or even cavemen are totally in the possibilities for protoframes and time travel to their times?
Dinosaur warframe when
Chroma take it or leave it
Ballas' gatekeeping dino frame
Give me a dinosaur warframe and my oro is yours
You ain't gone none to give
What do you mean by that
Could Roathe be connected to Kullevero
No
So
We have an Orokin tower
With Narmer Deacons
In the past
Either nothing explained or everything
Imagine if XX99 is 4399 or something
Hell, what if it's actually in the FUTURE of the Origin System and "Can the Orokin ever be forgiven" is literally "Yo Roathe can you check if historians ignored their evil doings?"
Do we know if it'll be the Operator that can romance the Devil's Triad. Or will it be the Operator?
It'll almost certainly be the Drifter
Not only because of Operator is child, but because iirc Lyon and Marie were confirmed part of the KIM chat system
Ah, alright
The Devil's Triad stuff is all Drifter-only, presumably
When they entered the new navigation menu it automatically chose Drifter when hovering over the Descendia gamemode
Drifter, the operator is a child.
And we're not going full Evangelion in THAT way
Just came back to the game and in steel path but I forgot all of the story what do I do
Replay Second Dream, Deadlock Protocol, War Within, The Sacrifice, New War, Duviri Paradox, Whispers in the Walls and The Hex in that order
Missing sacrifice there
Oh wait we can replay things
Oop my bad
That and deadlock should probably be the first on the list
Is Apostasy Prologue replayable?
This is a chronological order list, so Sacrifice needs to come right in the middle
Yep, you can do it through the Codex
Ok
So what are specters exactly? Like autonomous clones or holograms or something?
Yep
The Entrati discovered a particle that could copy a physical form
Parvos stole it to make specters
So
Descendia
- Kullevero is connected to it and so is Roathe who used to go there
- Does not like the infested
- Corrupted enemies
- Drifter only
Could it be in the void?
Or something related to time travel?
nah its something related to the pool the operator was in during the old peace reveal, they gave the pool a name during todays devstream though i forgot what it is
if i had to guess the descendia is probably like a training program but with memories
based on the tiny bit i did catch of descendia, i'm guessing its just grabbing at drifter memories and throwing them in there
massive grain of salt on that tho, i haven't gone back through that section to check
and its accessed via the pool
Nah that was Steve
The Dark Refractia or whatever
Proposal: a Qorvex protoframe is the most likely protoframe to have a balanced, or even positive, view of Entrati
It seems the Triad, or at least Marie does
Roathe absolutely does not
I think they said Harrow’s proto does too but idr
From the wording of dialogue and (I forget who was talking during the stream), it seems as though Marie was a devout believer in Entrati, might not have fully grasped his vision, but something happened to cause her to lose faith in him, and focus on righting his wrongs
sounds familiar /s
If I had a nickel for every time we had to time travel to fix a buncha traumatized half-warframe people I would have two nickels, which isn’t much but..
That’s not really what they said
How do you count the Drifter
They just said she was ready to do what was asked
Related tangent: I have a question. Through Uriel’s idles, we see the indifference reaching out to Uriel. Could the reason for the minions and the catalyst for the “broken thing” be that Uriel is the warframe with the most indifference infused within it, not just void energy like Xaku.
Eeeh
That would imply Albrecht somehow infused an Orokin with some aspect of the Indifference which isn’t really lining up with what we’re seeing so far
The indifference is likely trying to attack more so cause
It hates the Orokin
It also like
Hates Albrecht especially
And Albrecht isn’t exactly a big fan of it either
it's dark refactory if i remember correctly
I think it is, thank you
I’m still trying to figure out how time travel means dating both a Hex and Triad isn’t cheating
Wait what
Steve said due to time travel us dating a member of both which we can do isn’t cheating
Are you sure that wasn't just Steve cracking a joke about the idea of dating two characters at once
Didn’t seem like a joke tbh
it sounds like a joke steve would make
I'm willing to bet that they did it that way just so you wouldn't have to wait until the next year cycle and break up with your current blorbo or for new players to just progress two things at once
I'm kind of surprised at the people on reddit whose knickers are in a twist over it tbh
when the game moving in the self-indulgent waifuframe direction is doing self-indulgent waifuframe decisions instead of making bespoke commentary on polyamory
Got a question though:
Base on Lore
Sevagoth is basically Death
Koumei is the Princess of Fate
Nova can Nuke a planet if she wanted too
Dante is a freaking GOD that can manipulate verses into reality
And warframes base on Ballas are "Failed Experiments"
W'The freak is Warframe about?...
How do these things...... happen? They basically Catastrophic/Extinction Level of "beings" per se
At the same time I hope there is some acknowledgment that your 1999 partner is consenting as otherwise yeah it feels kind of weird
also this
Well maybe, but considering the fact, yeah might be
warframes are strong but that strength gets a bit blown out of proportion sometimes, like the thing with with Atlas and the asteroid where people take it as him destroying the entire thing by himself on his own with his raw strength, and not that, as told in the leverian, he exploited seismic faults in the asteroid which triggered a cascading structural failure
Damn Atlas is that strong?
I kinda need to read more of his lore
He didn’t just one punch man it
Still impressive don’t get me wrong, but people just hear “capable of destroying an asteroid” and take the wrong lesson from it
He exploited the structural weakness of it, he didn’t “one punch man it” as Nemesis puts it
Like, still, damn
Like yeah, still impressive
Just not, y’know, it doesn’t mean he can just casually destroy mountains willy nilly
Though my question is what is the main plot of warframe? Eternalism? It's just centered around that plot?
Nova can’t nuke the planet or anything like that
Koumei isn’t that impressive when it comes to the fate thing
Sevagoth is immortal due to the undying but isn’t close to being like death plus many frames can defy death
Dante isn’t god level at all
Crazy foreshadowing
Fair
Warframes were never designed to be gods
Our task is keeping factions in check never outright removing them
Otherwise the plot, right now, is more or less finding a way to stop Walter/the Indifference
Make sense though, but if you are that situation and witnessing these.... stuff they do, they might consider it as one
I mean the people in Cetus outright worshipping Koumei as the Dice Maiden
Well maybe not a God but you kinda see the point I guess?
Might have to read that... never been there, I just completed 1999
Your last 2 quests have been that then
Yeah and I never completed the warframe quests yet... trying to go to SP right now and then focusing on getting the other frames like Atlas or Jade in Warframe quests
Eternalism isn’t a plot, it’s a thing that came up this one time with the Drifter
I mean yeah, but like, it involves around it... if that makes sense m
Idk how to explaine it English is not my first language haha!
1 time with Baro
1 other time with Eleanor
Oh right yeah those
DE still have used it less than players try to
Still, 3 times, each being “one-offs” until recently and even then with Barro it’s not direct
Players try using it to solve things they can’t solve
whats your first language?
Tagalog, a national language of the Philippines
ah fellow Asean
Hello hello
sadly I dont speak tagalog so I cant make it easier for you to get
Like Nemesis said, it doesn’t come up that much, it’s an explanation for the Drifter, an at first joke with Barro to explain cross-platform and a thing Eleanor did to satisfy herself
Fair
I'm still having hard time reading the main plot hahahah English man
when did they add heartbeat to this guy
since release
Is the devils triad before or after 1999 or si it not mentioned
I never heard it until now though
its well, xx99 so it could be 1299 or 4299 we don't know
My guess 2099
honestly? if the triad uses KIM so naturally either theyre fast learners or computers exist in their time
and given the standard of prosthetics on marie
I doubt we're in a pre-1999 time with the triad
Guys, is proto wisp voice actor same as verminia from soulframe. I swear she sounds familiar
did they release who voiced french rat lady?
Because they just did for marie during yesterday's devstream
I don't know who voice either of them
Prob just the frenchness
More like XX99 try to find in italian numbers or rome numbers.
XX means 20
in roman numerals
but in this case its being used as a place holder
if thats what your asking
Or DE just don’t want to tell us hence xx
Occam
The classic anime/videogame/comic year ambiguity trick, except they've figured out that if you frame it as "In the year 19XX (or 20XX)" at some point somebody gets to turn around and go "Where's the flying car I was promised!", and this makes it a lot more flexible.
And they get to say "albrecht likes years ending in 99"
Personally I'm leaning towards earlier in history... 1899, or 1799 perhaps.
Albrecht likes time travel
I feel like the Devil's triad's time period could be earlier than 1899.
Because I can only see 1899 being the closest point where Mesa's protoframe would be available.

I mean, at the risk of sounding silly, 1899 is literally 14 years after the time of old west according to back to the future.
Because not having a cowgirl protoframe named "Billie" because "Billy the kid" sounds like one hell of a missed opportunity.
???
also modern revolvers were invented in the 1800s... though the idea of Mesa getting stupidly fast repeaters with older matchlock style revolvers would be funny.
The guns are part of the frame so that's not important
true
Mesa presidio skin
But did i miss something why are you talking about a mesa proto?
blame me, while we were discussing time periods, I thought having the devil's triad being around the time of the old west without including Mesa's protoframe seemed like a missed opportunity. >_>;;
We don’t know the actual year outside 99
that's true.
yeah, we don't have a lot of evidence one way or the other, everything is very speculative.
Do Fortuna people ( however you say it ) = Solaris people ?
They aren’t specifically deck 9 right? All people that live in Fortuna
Do you just called them Solaris instead of fortunans
Yeah
Solari, actually. Apparently
I’m on rn and I’m catching and in the sawgaw description it says “ the Solaris call it “
Little confused
Hmm
Maybe both work
I'm like 80% sure I saw "solari" mentioned somewhere official tho
I see I see
maybe the business is just a weird guy
Biz is a "foreigner" among the tuna solari(s)
I haven't collected any of the fragments yet but his dialogue vaguely suggests he used to be maybe corpus. Other npcs also mention that he's not from around there iirc
"I haven't always been about the preservation of life. More like... the strategic deletion of it."
Ahhh makes sense
The Solaris thing also says the Solaris people
So maybe there was a mistake?
He's also the only one with a different accent
Well aside from duck but she's extra unique
Haha she sure is
What is their accent?
The regular like Eudico
I could never tell
Oh ye there's also the solaris and people who call themselves solaris
Solaris untied?
Odd distinction that only gets mentioned once or twice
United
I'm guessing solaris are born on venus and the others are sent there or smth
How strange…
There's so much to collect in the vallis that I get choice paralysis and don't even try to collect any of it
I thought all the people we see now have always lived on Venus ( excluding biz ) because of their song “ we all lift together “
Most are varying levels of australian as far as I can tell
Most obvious ones are the two newer solaris vendors tbf, nightcap and chipper
Ahhhh
I believe duck was some english accent
In the song they go “ this the song of sons and daughters. “ So this colony, Fortuna, had been going on for some while
I'm getting annoyed at my lack of research on this particular topic
SORRY
I just really love Fortuna and Venus
Workers often see each other as family, probably even more so when they're basically slaves
No need to apologize, I've just been neglecting gathering info about a fairly important faction

A major question I have is did that colony exist in Parvos’s time. If not… I may have messed up big time
not even as a colony but as a habitable place
No
Parvos is, surprisingly, against slave labor
My favorite quest ever
But Venus was already populated during Parvos’s time
So something did exist there
And the orb Vallis did exist
Correct?
it may have just been called the Vallis back then
It was at least beginning to exist
But solaris as we know them are a very recent thing
I see I see
Not entirely confirmed or... unconfirmed?
What's the opposite of confirmed
Denied
Sounds weird
Hmmmm
I’ve been told before that the orikon have already conquered the origin system tho?
Unconfirmed
They have
Doesn't mean everything was populated
I suppose but at least the Vallis would have been during that time because of the orikon structures and cooling system no?
Jupiter has only been populated by corpus in more recent times but it still belonged to the orokin once
Yes BUT it was also seemingly never finished, judging by the terraforming seed that's kinda stuck in half-completion
Also belonged to them for a tiny bit
Timelines are the only thing we'll never get
How long was Parvos’s era about, do we know?
At least 6
6… years?
Best I can offer
https://www.orokinarchives.com/timeline/
At least 1
-# I'm saying there's no time span given
I’ll do you one better
Wf timeline in a nutshell
Real
Why did I think the cat had aoi's hair...
Because your eyes hate you
Waving my hands in the air it is it is
-# ...wow aoi's first name is just vowels
ouwie
True, I need specially made glasses to keep them from just going cross-eyed on their own
No Parvos mentioned 😔
That's bc the only extremely vague clue we have towards when his story happens is that warframes show up near the end
I love how the popular far future series just go “yeah we have no idea when anything happens”
Does someone know what that language is from hallvania?
I just reading this one: https://wiki.warframe.com/w/Venato_Prime
Fashioned from the willingly-donated bone of the Sentient Ur-Hatho and embellished by Orokin luxurator Sembik Vol, Venato Prime was to be wielded against “common enemies” of the united peoples – had any ever emerged from the darkness beyond Tau.
What exactly is mean: “common enemies” of the united peoples – had any ever emerged from the darkness beyond Tau.??
Is that reference to something more beyond Tau? Sol (origin) system, Tau... and another one??
so far the only "enemies of the united peoples" that we know of are the separatists shown in the old peace
"darkness beyond Tau" probably just refers to them preparing for aliens or something
which still haven't emerged as of now
Yeah and from DE's current stance on it, it probably never will
but they'll still likely have the 'threat'
Only thing I can think of is Dune which is set in like, 11000 AD,
The closest to alien in this game is some of the void creatures and the infested
That's the question.
It's only the sentients who came back to the origin system that became sterile right?
More specifically it is because the void protection from the Orokin that did this
yea, the void travel sterilized them because they were hiding within praghasa, who took the brunt of the damage
Iirc Praghasa's death is also caused by this
So there is likely a population of sentients still on Tau who are still able to reproduce? I wonder if they ever decided to expand further away from the Origin system
not sure if its explicit or not but heavily implied at least
Tbh we don't know if any big sentient could reproduce
Besides Hunhow and Praghasa
has it ever been stated if Sentient reproduction allowed them to make new sentients of equal or greater "tier" or are the offspring always "lesser"?
Always less, as evidenced by Natah and Erra (they are much smaller than their parents)
But they can still be very strong
If Hunhow or Praghasa could clone themselves, the tide of War would be on their side
ok, so that means Praghasa's loss has majorly crippled the Sentients as a race, since there probably weren't too many of her "class"
I wonder if that is what makes Adis special, but that's more speculation for now
I think Adis is more like “mechanic” or “medic” to the sentient. They are in charge of fixing the damage that sentient troop can't adapt to
If Adis could heal the damage done by travelling through the void, we could possibly get Hunhow back (and Praghasa, but she might be too far gone)
Praghasa is too big for Adis alone, and we don't know how many types of Sentient like Adis exist
He might be dead.
I was thinking more Praghasa might be "physically" healed but her mind/soul/sentience might not come back
no guarantee we could get adis and hunhow/praghasa on the same side of the rail to allow the healing, either
but her size is also just giant
yeah, it does seem that if Adis could do that, the Sentient would have just steam rolled by bringing them to the origin system
Considering she was still functional but not “alive” in the new war…yeahhh
I’m surprised her sun-eating ability still worked
Then again she looked mostly intact beforehand
I wanna say she died but due to being a robot her body was still functional
Like when a computer’s OS dies but all the components are still technically working
Ig
Fair enough
No idea where the fragments are coming from
The Murexes should be their own sentients I think??
Man idk with these cool robots sometimes lol
To be fair Hunhow keeps peeling new sentients off himself too
Although no idea where the Narmer affiliated ones come from
To be fair there’s that black goop stuff
Yeah ik, but that just seems to be how fragments are made
Don’t forgot Natah did too
Also the Narmer sentients could be from
The Archons:
Erra’s husk of a body:
Praghasa:
Murexes:
My ahh does not remember that
The sacrifice
Sentient mimics
Those are hers
Ohh
Ye
I missed it too for a while lol
I think those aren't really "true" reproduction by sentient standards, they're just drones that are dependent on the main body
Yes
That is what fragments are
i wonder
does Sentient have regeneration like Warframe
Not like the infestation but they can regenerate iirc
I’ll check
The chamber doors opened and a mass of guards entered, guns trained inward. As they reached the centre, they parted, revealing a small cart. Atop the cart was a motionless creature, no larger than a hand. Its body was symmetrical, star-shaped, with a seamless, matte-black shell.
A new projection, that of Executor Tuvul ballooned into the space. "It looks harmless."
"Harmless?" Ballas boomed in Tuvul's direction. He turned to the centre of the dome. "Show them."
On command, the guards backed away from the cart and readied their weapons. Their leader took careful aim and fired a whisper round into the body of my creation. Two of the limbs tore off the frame, revealing a glossy, gelatinous interior.
Silence gripped the dome as Tuvul shook his head. Then suddenly, the creature moved, convulsed; the hard surface started undulating. In a moment the wound closed and the thing was whole again. Beside it another machine had grown from its severed parts. Their surfaces had changed however – brighter, harder, resilient to whisper rounds now. Ballas looked triumphant as voting lights began to appear on the judgement disc.
@brittle siren
Orokin really could have gray goo'ed themselves with this, it's amazing how short sighted they were sometimes
Iirc they didn’t make it, a Corpus did
Nvm they’re an Archimedean
the wiki states Perintol was both an Archimedean and a member of the corpus
guess they aren't mutually exclusive?
We have a Sentient Archimedean in Old Peace
yeah Perintol is both Ballas calls him a Corpus possibly even a higher ranking member,
Ballas turned his head as the judgement disc went suddenly dark. "An appeal comes at a price. Should you fail, you and your corpus will pay dearly."
I wonder since this is before Parvos Granum was introduced, the idea was Perintol started the corpus
i'd guess its more of 'the other corpus archimedeans' than 'all of the corpus'
Archimedeans can seemingly work for anyone they just have to report to the orokin at a gathering once a year(?) And if they don't like your work they kill you.
oh?
oh interesting
Nakama
was saying it to what mediocre said, yea
ig corpus meaning family/friends would make sense with parvos's whole totally-not-a-pyramid-scheme thing he does
I found what Cetus means
He was cetus, which meant "landless, cladeless, a body turned to dust turned to motes on a careless wind."
so then, is perintol actually part of the corpus?
yes
Perintol is called a Corpus and an Archimedean in the Detron Crewman synthesis entry
jesus
even drone can duplicate themselves
glad that isn't reflected in game, it'd be a nightmare having to destroy the broken pieces of conculyst or battalyst
How does Varzia get the relics?
Aya is raw memory, so Varzia extracts the memories with a machine and turns them into void relics
Regal Aya is more "complete" memory and thus can turn directly into the the prime items
I'd need to see the entry
I'd need to see the entry
https://www.orokinarchives.com/detron-crewman
link
but the only part that mentions corpus, i believe, was already quoted up there. "you and your corpus"
This thing more warframe general than the actual general channel lmao
Maybe the gold grineer commander in the old peace trailer is kahl’s great great great grandfather lol
Clone wars if anything
I mean there’s not really any against discussion lore outside the lore channel, is there?
True true
AFAIK the only related rule is use spoiler tags as necessary
Yee
which they (we) aren't doing lol
@normal blade do you have any lore questions?
iirc there are moon colonies being protected by paramilitary groups in 1999 pre orokin empire
Nah, the files from entrati pretty much answered my questions back then
i read it on the pom computer
Proof?
gonna have to ask for a source on that one
the pom-2 puter
Which ones? The ones from diemos or the sanctum?
Let's not put the pre orokin and the universe of 1999 in the same sentence
Show me?
members of the hex were basically military mercenaries
Sanctum!
They are the same.
you've mixed up the timeline
1999 was not the Old War
maybe the orokin were like an influential group in wf earth's history
The Old War is 10,000 years later minimum
imagine them being part of like the UN or something lmao
then they rose to power after the radiation wars
basically correct, yes
there is the ORO group in 1999, whoever they actually are, but the acronym is probably not coincidental.
But rather than just the UN it was Hollywood+bankers+politicians+old money etc etc etc
basically, the Freemasons
Can I get a screenshot of this buddy.
chat with Elenor, Drifter: "You've barely made it to Lua. In my time, we have colonies on all the planets. " ... unclear on if that implies colony or just apollo analogue.
maybe it'll be crazier if the orokin were a group of people dating back to ancient civilizations like sumeria in this alt earth lmao
prolly just apollo
like the orokin always existed from the getgo and influenced cultural and tech changes in this alt history
I think that's kinda what they're going for
... still looking, Eleanor has a lot of stuff about Lua.. mostly religious, also Komi.
lua priests in 1999
But it's not until around or after 1999 that they discover Oro and the secret to immortality
like priests on the moon itself
....
They definietly aren't
maybe XX99 is on the moon after earth got nuked lmao
priests OF lua
as in. they worship it primarily
Sol/Lua is the dualism religion stuff
the earth being nuked in the radiation wars is what led the orokin to go into the stars and search for the void
You gotta be joking now
Scaldra DOES ultimately lead to the Orokin though
i got it in a pom-2 convo lmao
Yeah yeah that's mb
yup, not finding any other content about a colony on the moon in 1999 time, searching both "Lua" and "Moon"
No.
Technically speaking the scaldra are the precursors of the grineer
In a manner, sure
Lua and Sol where a old religion the orokin don't worship them anymore.
Dualism was a old belive.
ehh
religious, militaristic, green
that's kinda it
Same way how the techrot, the hex end up being the first version of the infested and warframe due to entrati's intervention
Close enough
That's not the case at all
the techrot was always there even without entrati
Heh proto-infestation
The techrot was being experimented on before 1999
No its just a military faction
Albrecht has nothing to do with the techrot
difference being that the techrot is the infestation, just a far earlier version
they failed to contain it so they nuked earth and lived on colonies
Given what we know, Scaldra probably over the centuries becomes the dax
which led to the zariman spaceship lol
eventually, yea, but earth wasn't destroyed in the first radiation war
That's some assumption there
No
Also no.
They're kept in control via drugs, primitive mind control, and espirit de corps
Also no.
Who is telling you this?
do you have anything else to say other than no
Scaldra -> Orokin
Techrot = Technocyte = Infested
This would happen with or without Albrecht
the pom-2 puter
@proven spire okay do you want me to explain it?
It's been implied that the Orokin nuked Earth themselves to erase pre-Orokin era history
That's not what it says.
You're reading the computer wrong
yeah two things can happen both at the same time
like an evil win-win situation
POM doens't say anything about colonies or the like
ig that's one way to delete the data of pre-orokin
though idk where that's implied
That's where I'm coming from, 1999 is an alt earth, but will still have the same historical direction the earth where our operator comes from
God this was ages ago
I think Krios is getting KIM convos mixed up
We know the Orokin erased their past history. Them nuking the planet to do it is an assumption
lemme just take some screenshots
I'm still lost with the whole moon colonies
Like when the rad wars were first mentioned, they did a "tee hee" when someone asked about whether it was destroyed intentionally
Where'd that come from
Its an alternate history from real life but it is the history as it happened in Warframe
it. is the earth our operator "originally" came from, though? its the same timeline
same lol
They don't exist
I believe they conflated Lua being the seat of Orokin government with the moon landings happening in the Warframe timeline
Just ignore anything claiming that
but you know what, this is still better than the people claiming that 1999 was a conceptual manifestation and not time travel
Yes that's also what I meant, maybe the use of alt earth was a tad bit wrong on my part
i fear the people still claiming this
Yes, 1999 is the actual past that leads to the present day system
Eternalism was a mistake /hj
My favorite non-paradox in Warframe is how Flare is simultaneously the inspiration for the Temple Warframe, the Temple protoframe, and the actual original Temple Warframe
where's the lie
They're talking about a time period of THOUSANDS OF YEARS
don't think flare can be the inspiration if they arrive during the night of naga drums
Okay so. They mean they Fed the WHOLE SYSTEM. Not just earth.
That's a distinct simplification of events
And they wanna get to tau.
I'm sorry where were you coming from with this again? Genuine question, not insulting you just to be clear lol
That was the neat part, Lizzie put them on Haile-Bopp, to return to the Origin System for that
Flare's final email spelled it out
Truth
i dun remember lmao i just thought this tidbit was cool so i wanted to talk about it
yea it was nice how they avoided the bootstrap like that
They aren't. The Temple frame existed before Flare came back to the system
It's the greatest non-paradox ever
also lol
Yeah that part's really funny
warframe 1969
Incorrect, Temple was never built.
Dinosaur warframe when
I think they mean the OG “Temple” Flare
I love how the supposed war, was just that stuff lol
Canata
some of the renames are super clever
Temple was designed, Ballas refused to build one, Entrati jacked it and gave it to Flare, Flare took a comet nap to get back in time for the dropping of the beat down.
nailed it
Ballas was afraid to build Temple iirc
jinymon and jipangu
... which makes me wonder what the orbital period of that comet was.
Entrati straight up goes "I could do the funniest thing ever" when he realizes Flare is infected
Bro was the whole rebellion lol
i'm trying to find the aoi and arthur breakup but she only talks about it if ur in a relationship with her
coming back to this real quick, I cannot get over him being afraid to build Temple after building fooking Son Wukong as a Warframe
i still love the mental image of ballas seeing the frame he designed and decided not to make (for being too rebellious) showing up at the rebellion anyway
like some kind of avatar
It was during a mission
something about protecting a colony and a tank rolled over the origamis she made for arthur
Sun Wukong broke into heaven and beat up all the gods simultaneously because they didn't invite him to a party
He knew he could distract wukong
Or, wait, was it because they made him the stableboy when he ascended to heaven?
I forget been too long. Time for a reread
oh it was she made a thing for Authur and he didn't care.
she can talk about it whenever. doesn't have to be in a relationship. just make sure all conversations are on.
1000 CRANES ALL GOT SCRAPPED BY A TANK GODDAMN
i don't think it was 1000
it was just one she made for him to be cute and he didn't care at all
Can I say that I think it's crazy that Nokko... maybe isn't a Warframe at all?
it's like if you got your partner a flower and she left it outside or something.
HMMMMMMM nokko is very intresting.
But some kind of fungus from under Venus that got up and decided to become a Warframe when it grew up?
i just can't remember where that colony was
There was no colony
I think the no invitation to the party thing was the Peach Incident
the undermind as a whole is actually the reason that the coolant systems are still working
That sounds right, thanks!
i mean, nightcap says "not some leftover from an orokin lab"
i'm not sure if nokko was always fungus, but i think he's still a warframe
i think he was always both but now he has like ASCENDED
No no, it was 1000, she said she was working on it for weeks
to be the hive mind of the mushrooms.
And it was supposed to be a wish of goodluck for the both of them
oh then it was the last ONE AND SHE WANTED HIM TO MAKE A WISH WITH HER. that was it yeah.
yeah. imagine your partner was like "you like your birthday but i don't it's stupid"
Fairly sure both but at different points
I WOULD BREAK UP WITH THEM.
this is true though.
reminder that Arthur doesn't know what an emoticon is
lizzie is flare's new cat
when the Drifter, Space Trauma themself, figures it out just by looking
other way round but also no.
Arthur has the emotional depth of a particularly dull stump
cuz they uhhhhh have a relationship.
this is why he's the one who confronts you about Duviri mind you
the infested hivemind
well lizzie is like helminth techrot but yes.
Huh, but the break up about her giving him cranes was in a single dialogue tho, because Arthur wasn't seeing the little things, it was all about the mission
Crane thing was a few different Aoi conversations... there was the one about the [Not Japanese] astronauts folding them as a training exercise; a different one where Arthur just sort of ignored the ones Aoi made during some sort of peacekeeping mission but they don't specify the location...
yee
peacekeeping mission where
also a few about the metal ones she's currently making
we don't know.
"Aoi: we were out on a peacekeeping missions with the ICR but I still wanted to celebrate venusia in some way.
Aoi: so I spent weeks folding 1000 paper cranes for him. they're suppose to be good luck, u know? and 1000 are supposed to grant a wish
Aoi: every spare second I had between meals or before bed, I'd sneak off, all excited about how happy a venusia surprise was gonna make him "
Man that sucks, but I'm not siding on arthur or anything but like, it wasn't wrong to think about the mission
but like
i remember aoi being amazed that we terraformed venus
Arthur isn't named Arthur for nothing
aoi's parents were also rocket scientists
Bro was all about the mission
ooof nice point
also one of letties like Room dialogs is like "i hope Aoi and Aurthur don't get back to together they where terrible for each other"
maybe the space race never ended lmao
his voice is put on btw it's so funny.
ealnor says that's his HERO LEADER VOICE and he's putting it on cuz he'S GOTTA BE A SOILDER"
I love the HERO LEADER VOICE convo
Wait
DE Please please please give us a mushroom convo with Aoi for Devils Triad 🙏
HERO LEADER VOICE
yes
arthur also sings show tunes
Eleanor's searing hatred for you if you admit to liking it is hysterical
Have we heard his Ordinary Man voice?
Eleanor's hatred with superheroes/wannabe superheroes is justified lol
sang velimir's ear off then passed out drunk
i love all the like ealanor going like "Why do you think he's hot stop it"
it's so funny.
does anyone like revenant's lore?
"you like something about my brother? Stop"
It's honestly kinda rad
Guardian gets curious about his prisoner one night and taps the glass, only to get yanked in
I always loved it, I tried making an edit based around it too
Perfect horror movie material
ikr?
it's fine. his prime lore was the fist time Eteranlism was actually used. Other than the drifter.
Pretty much almost the oneshot stories about the frames are great
I didnt know that o:
the infested hivemind just wanted flare to feel better about his grief
lizzie did.
okay so
lizzie's love is unconditional
they seem to be indivual minds but still connected to the whole and they can SEE THROUGH ALL TIME.
cuz Lizzie says she can see the tech rot in 1999 and infested in the normal time.
I will allow DE to make Revenant Prime be eternalism ONLY because Ballas is so mad about it
they were just waiting for flare to accept them bc flare created them by bleeding on the guitar
Infested/techrot are metal af for that
also Lizzie knows when we reset and that we can.
Also Lizzie is the Helminth
interesting
Genuinely gave me the heebiejeebies
lizzie will tell you to reset
if you do their converstations wrong
timey wimey type stuff
All this talk about Lizzie remind me of the "BUT SHE'S A GUITAR, IT DOESN'T COUNT"
ALSO how lizzie talked and stuff makes me realize
the helminth only is in our ship working for us
cuz it thinks that will help it.
STAR CHILD
The devil child
like
MASTER
No, this is Patrick
It's not like a watered down infestation not connected to the hive mind. it is just like it thinks working with us is BEST FOR SOME REASON.
WHY IDK.
are there any warframe edits that reference the lore?
Like, according to Kaya, the infestation is invading EVERY 1999 at once
what does that mean?
maybe an otherworldly consciousness have different concepts to things
no we know that lizzie says that.
We do literally feed it just so it empowers our warframes idk i feel like thats a pretty good deal
this is off-topic, but years ago someone wrote a short fiction based on John Carpenter's The Thing
from the perspective of the monster
maybe the indifference is similar
I love warframes lore but I don't see any edits about it
And how it's not trying to hurt us as it assimilates us
What kind of edits tho, what edits are we talking about
But it doesn't understand individualism, and when it does it is disgusted by it
but other infested is mad we are attacking it. lizzie could consume/subsume Flare but lizzie doesn't want to. helminth could EAT US but it doesn't.
a different perspective on morality and existence
um I can link one? kinda hard to explain
At least for Wally?
Please do so lol
It eats timelines
I'm so lost myself
The infestation thinks it's trying to help
https://youtu.be/3ECn94eFT8I?si=hhCZ0qd5T5YbM78g if im allowed to, sure. I have a few amvs saved, like gauss prime
"Once the warden of the Plains, tasked with protecting the Unum's Tower and striking down the ghostly Eidolon forms that rose from the depths every night.
Night after night, he cut them down, not allowing them to take form. Then, one night, he disappeared, lost… forever."
I always loved the plains of eidolon/cetus and it's lore, especially...
Wally wants you to die screaming and then never exist
and THIS IS REALLY REALLY INTRESTING
I mean I think as food we’re like a really hairy and spindly tarantula to it but yeah
yum
IT EATS METAL
Metal doesn’t have hair and wiggle it’s long weird legs
I mean ig Oraxia-
but yeah we actively make a "DEAL" with it when we use diemos helminth segment.
Lizzie was born from part of Flare's own psyche iirc so obviously she doesnt want to hurt them she wants to make them whole.
And helminth could try yeah but I don't think eating the person who feeds you AND is fueled by the spooky scary dimension is a great idea
so it can make DEALS WHY HOW AND IT'S CONNECTED TO THE HIVE MIND STILL.
its a bit confusing
it's just INTRESTING.
im excited to see what they do with uriel tho
but like she talks like she is the HELMINTH cuz you can talk about like ""oh you want to subsume flare" and she is like "NO we only do that for now and cuz you ASK but we would never do that to FLARE"
Oh that kind of edit, idk I haven't really seen much about those, this is cool tho
very intresting.
thanks! I think ppl sleep on warframes lore so id love to make something cool out of it
please DE INFESTED TILE SET UPDATE AND INTRODUCE THE MAIN CURRENT HIVE MIND PEASE
Wait, am I missing something or is there an interaction with subsuming temple to the helminth
IT WAS IN THE POM PC IN ALBRETCHES LAB PLEASE
I hope they don't have "one single hivemind representative"
That was why The Final Shape in Destiny 2 fell flat for me >.>
no when you talk to flare and lizzie you can talk about subsumes
HELL YEAH, I don't see those at all, yours was a first for mine
the darkness was cooler when it was a force of nature
:DD appreciate it
I WOULD LIKE IT. or even just like the Patient zero that the orokin made leading it.
I guess I haven't fully explored the dialogues for them lol
it would be SO COOL
lmk what lore would be cool for an amv/edit
gara is cool too
Voruna definitely, her lore was so good for me, literally poured kuva blood over her and her companions so they can still be together
sorry too soon
maybe the infested isn't a thing where you can find the mothership or a source and just blast it with a laser maybe it has always existed like the void but is separate from the void if that makes sense
…what if it’s just like, they have big enough and designed brains and thus “individual” consciousness to have this level of cognition
Like Lizzie was born from a human consciousness, The Twins are really really big, Coda were designed to be “clones” of humans, and the Helminth is really big and manages the like life-support and maintenance
Oh damn, kinda like Venom's and his children
Carnage was born of cletus' blood etc etc
Man, I'd love to be it that
an alien consciousness like the indifference and alien means it has a different concept of right and wrong from humans
They have a consciousness of their own yet still in the same hivemind
Could it just be that only they have the necessary qualities to have a “voice” and reason that can withstand the rest of the very big and “loud” hivemind?
Also the gorilla ones
Damn, baby lepantis where?!
Legacytes are like a mobile protogravemind
Ohhhhhhhh okay so. Can I make a suggestion?
But they’re based on primates and way more primitive and basic like normal infested so
the infested are merely conduits of this consciousness that you can never really kill
@regal torrent go through the prime trailers those have a lot of cool qoutes.
Also wouldn't the split personality work on this for the hivemind of the infested but it's consciousness
yes
yes!!!
Wonder if the hivemind made any other more successfull infiltration/sleeper agent attempts
Split personality on human disability**
proto infested and orokin infested are the same thing
the hivemind has always existed
That whole thing with the cult of arlo showed a very scary aspect of the infestation
We've already established that tho, techrot IS the infested rather the first version of kt
like how the void itself was always there just waiting to be discovered
it just needed a connection
I love that part
I thought adding bird 3, tagfer etc was a fantastic addition to the lore
the void also corrupts like how the infestation also corrupts the physical form
so we have void corruption, infestation corruption, and capitalistic corruption via the corpus
pick ur poison
clone rot
yum
Veils and the neural sentry
to the alien consciousness it is not rot but only a new form of being
praise nurgle
so what corruption do the sentients provide for our collection?
Chat
terraforming?
artificial intelligence lmao
familial corruption
Cuz from the other side, they change what was originally there to something else
It's so interesting to go to the prime trailers. Cuz it was always Ballas talking to the seven.
I'm incredibly mad Caliban didn't get a prime trailer
But it's so interesting that he's like talking about making them to fight the other factions during the old war.
Because Erra trailer orz
anyone here who watches the devshorts, please ask for it I'm begging you
The most corruptive, twisted form of life on all of Earth
Beavers
I love the prime trailers! gauss is probably my fav
they do?
so as long as albrecht keeps time traveling eventually all frames will have their own protoframe lol
plus new ones
guuuud
I need more fanart
albrecht entrati is basically the new ballas at this point
look all I want is a Dagath/Xaku/Caliban protoframe trio
ballas is lame now
xaku my beloved ❤️
Excuse me, Equinox too
they dont even have any lore. xaku just randomly appears
Mostly no lore
or is there lore?
Except that three Warframes got lost in the Void and came back fused together
Albrecht won't give us 100 protoframes unfortunately... he stops at 99.
how did they get lost in the void?
Entrati void experiments iirc
that's an 11/10 joke
what do you think that looked like? kinda like the animals like bird 3?
there was some theorycrafting years ago
Someone made mockups of what the originals looked like
ohh?
based on the three distinct parts that make up Xaku
im heavily interested
Proto-Xaku finding out Eleanor just went into the Void and ignored Wally (Dealing with that bastard has been like half their character arc)
this is sick! :DD
so he just threw warframes in the void and they mashed together?
how'd they get out??
No no, there were actual expeditions
tbf the name Xaku sounds like voidtongue
They'd open void portals during the old war and go through to see if they could find anything
I see...
"WDYM YOU IGNORED THE DUDE"
"I'm just saying, I was going thru the drifter's head and saw them, then not care"
other places, other times, lost Orokin Towers
and sometimes the participants wouldn't come back
BUT LIKE MY ANSWER TO HER was that all her visions where by wally.
cuz i still think that.
Presumably, during one of these experiments, the return portal opened and Xaku stepped through
imagine a warframe named Jahu or Lohk lol
fascinating
that must have been such an aura moment
but instead we get names derived from ancient history
Man, Eleanor casually speed running the trauma and lore like that
fwiw Xaku, Kullervo and one other Warframe I can't remember right now have voidtongue abilities
Imagine if we get a section of this story in old peace
Like a tidbit of those three leaving together
don't get my hopes up
kullervo still sounds like a name from earth
We literally see the primes just on those pile
Because it is
It is!
The Tale of Kullervo is a Finnish epic poem
Dante??
Dear gaia give me strength, I want the visuals for these primes and their backgrounds
oh that's cool
did you know that because you like warframe or are you just that smart?
Neither, just a huge nerd
hahahaha
JRR Tolkein did an English translation
I still think these six will be NPC Tenno for a change
real as hell
guys Loki is from norse mythology 🤓
Checked and no that wasn't it
that seems most likely imo
maybe random assistants during perintol runs?
not perintol
what was it called
will they ever make ash relevant?
mesa is just a table and ash is from a volcano
Perita?
Oh god please change it DE
No Spanish or portuguese speaker can take that name seriously
Y'all, wouldn't we technically see other tenno during the old peace, which order of the story is that
we should
DE's been resisting doing it because the idea is that for you, other players are the "Tenno NPCs"
I respect it tbh
