Oh, right
We are going to Tau in 2026 which the Drifter might pop into later, but initially it’ll definitely just be Operator
Also ‘polluted history’ feels ominous
I think in one of those post Tennocon interviews, someone said that Drifter has their reason to go to Tau, this is to give the Operator one.
Polluted history is most likely just a fancy way of saying bad memories
Huh, interesting. Also I am still wondering what the Jade and Stalker's child has in store for us and if it means we'll be getting more quests along the lines of Umbra's and Jade Shadows, maybe after Tau?
Influenced by the fact it’s the memories of the war and the breakdown of the peace
Could be, or lotus (theorised to be under wally’s influence at some capacity) may bring the phrase to have a double meaning
It’s possible but nothing indicating it
Well a warframe having a kid is a pretty significant plot thread to just leave hanging
Oh you meant that
Well the whole...all of it
I thought you just meant a quest about another old aware warframe
Yeah we’re definitely gonna get another quest or even linked to Stalker and Sirion at some point
After the VW or maybe during a “dry season” between a big content drop for the arc
Cut to five years later, and we use "Did you know there's a baby Warframe out there?" to blow new player's minds
I do wonder if it's all leading up to a whole new gen of warframe or maybe more variants. Like Sirion will likely be as sentient if not more so than his parents, maybe even have human intelligence and reasoning.
Not right now, but I believe it was confirmed that the 2026 "present Tau" update will include a reason for Drifter to go to Tau as well
My prediction: Wally will stole sth on Tau and start the void war /j
One of the Tau teaser said "our history is smoked"
Smoke, right?
"Our history is smoke. Blurred by dreams, guided by ghosts. A Voice, a Void, lurks inside you, its purpose not yet shown. But what am I?" is the full natah ropalolyst line
"Our History is Smoke" was the title, "Our history is smoke. Blurred by dreams, guided by ghosts." was in the description
Probably refers to the Operator forgetting part of their history
Or that the old war was very convoluted
Our history is smoke could mean a fair few things
How terrifying are we in scaldra's perspective?
Very
Pants-crapping scary
Considering that they're regular humans, imagine fighting a dude that came out of nowhere suddenly eating your homies
Just the Drifter itself must be terrifying
Yout think you managed to kill this unbeatable beast
Then boom, human pops out, kills 3 of your homies, and the Warframe is active again
And Arthur points out that Viktor doesn't know the Drifter is just one person with an arsenal— as far as he knows, the Hex has an army of powerful, robot ninjas
theres a tumblr thread containing fanfiction about the psychosis we're putting Viktor through, you can get an idea from there
"ITS DOWN RAAAaaaah? Its up? ITS UP"
I need to see this, can you send a link?
pls hold
theres this, but Im not a tumblr user so idk how to find the one with like, constant add ons
This is gold, please tell me there is more
If you know how to use tumblr and read the notes/reblogs its all in there
I just dont know how
I've never used tumblr, so probably not. I'll look it up though, thanks for sharing this, it's amazing, lol
The Oro kind of I guess?
He’s a lieutenant so yeah
Same energy
@raw sigil im two days late but I do genuinely have stuff to add about this.
While the tenno being called demons and devils comes from characters who already have a distain or fear of the Tenno/Void. There is, however, an interesting dynamic in that the so-called "devils" have kept their humanity.
The Tenno made a deal with Wally and are not under his direct influence. The Angels have lost their humanity, and work towards the goals of the Indifference
Angels just want Void energy and go after the largest source
Consider: for a year all you've known and fought against were these 6 specific people. You've been able to learn their abilities and are able to exploit their very human fears.
That is until some other random person shows up that is a complete enigma. All they are given is a title, and with them is an army. Simply less obviously human. They have zero fear of death, because they can just come back immediately.
Its not exactly intentionally doing his bidding but it still definitely would help the man in the wall afaik
6 specific people that also have a sub-par understanding of their abilities, too.
Rusalka was just a Major. Presumably after she disappeared, he was promoted to acting-Major or something (idk how military ranks work, either IRL or Warframe) but either way there's still likely a General at the end of it all
I hope she would escape from Wally somehow and have void power
I know he's voiced by newbon but why did they have to make him hot
Like, the fish is just a fish why is the evil guy hot
I’m taking this
Also
POV: the drifter is using Dante
people have been saying Uriel appeared in chains of harrow trailer, Is this true ? i saw the figure people referred to as "Uriel" in the trailer and couldn't tell what it was and it's been a while since i played the quest, Can anyone confirm this ?
Theyre hallucinating
we can take a real quick guess who's model was used to create that figure
Yeah that makes more sense
I just got to know that Amir makes all the arcade noises while he plays on the arcade machines.
whats the deal
We don't really know for sure. Overall, Wally promised to save all of the children in the Zariman in exchange for our "light" (the one we offered during the New War, if you remember that). What the "light" actually constitutes itself in the deal is, for now, unknown.
I don't remember what the light was, it's been a long time since I saw the new war
Just a lamp we were holding
In the deal it obviouslt means something broader
We just don't know what exactly yet
We do know that not giving Wally the page from the Grimoire during WitW constituted a breach of that deal though.
That just gave me a stupid idea
Imagine if Wally had any concept of legal proceedings
Could take the tenno to court
Contracts with a minor are not legally binding
Can't sign a legally binding document
I want to see Wally suing what's left of the Orokin for bodily assault lol
Wally's gonna lose
I know that contracts with kids aren't legally binding just.. give me my Phoenix wright level Court stupidity damn it
Lol
I wonder if the deal involved Operator having to aid Wally in tasks, since it is kind of unable to fully breach into the physical world.
Which is why it said Drifter breached the contract, thinking that just because Drifter got Void powers from Operator instead of it, that doesn’t mean Drifter can ignore their end of the bargain.
But, funnily enough, Wally can’t do much because Wally really didn’t give Drifter anything directly so it can’t take anything away from Drifter.
So basically Wally gave operator a bag of Cheez-Its,and then operator accidentally gave drifter the bag of Cheez-Its and now Wally wants them back
Is there an in lore explanation for every operator and how millions can go through the same storyline differently but also exist simultaneously?
(Kind of a loaded question but considering pokemon has this thing where every new game save is a parallel universe, it got me curious)
Eternalism
Pretty much think multiverse infinite possibility theory. anything that can happen will happen just maybe not in this reality.
And then likely around the same time as the deal with operator, The drifter collapsed all other possibilities of both themselves and the tenno, via their deal with Wally
Wait that doesn't sound right in my head
Both made the deal
That’s where the split happens
I meant out of all the Tenno
Not the Operator/Drifter
In each "timeline" the Tenno that goes through the story is the one that took the deal
Eternalism is basically
If you take the left turn
You open a branch of you turning right
You open a branch of you going straight
You open a branch of crashing
It depends on the many what ifs of that scenario
In Operator and Drifter’s case
It was the deal
One got saved with the rest
The other got left behind as the rest got saved
All those “dying” paths are basically the branches of them dying due to not getting the deal/trying to survive after getting abandoned (until Duviri finally formed)
“Dying” I say as if they aren’t LITERALLY dying in those other paths
Ahhh
Is the void connecting each branch how they can exist simultaneously with eachother? Bc with co-op, the other player would be going through their own path
This is a little thing we call ludonarrative dissonance
only you are the main character
but so is everyone else
but only you
Everyone else is just a fellow Tenno to your character
But to us they’re all the main character technically.
“They don’t know it but I’m the main character” - Full squad
For the purposes of the story each individual player is the chosen one that does the deal with Wally yada yada, but in gameplay all the other players besides you are just regular tenno
Well... As regular as of an alternate dimension power wielding child can be, but hey.
It's like any other game like this, see: GTA Online
You're the special one, everyone else is a pleb
that is most MMORPGs.
Your character is the special one when it comes to the MSQ
so gameplay wise there is a crapload of us in 1999, but story wise its just your drifter.
Yeah 1999 is the biggest example of ludonarrative dissonance
Just the nature of online games, Cant really have the story solve out to whoever gets there first.
theres probably some kind of theory to be built around the difference between being void-touched (ie: the tenno) and being a Void Creature (ie: everyones least favorite wall) being the distance from your own strand of reality that you can reach. theres no reason not to think that from wally's perspective the Chosen Tenno™ is simultaneously literally every player at once, but we as limited beings can only percieve the strands where its ourself as the Operator and ourself as the Drifter. which then creates the argument that the 1999 situation could be interpreted as a consequence of the breakdown of reality surrounding the timeloop as a void bubble: you're seeing the echoes of other inaccessible strands overlaid onto your own
Not actually. Wally just said that we _could _ count it as part of the deal, implying the “terms” are loose
"How about you give me the page instead, Kiddo? Consider it part of our deal."
Guys, what should I pick?
Whichever you think fits
Personally I’d go for the top, but you’re free to characterise your Operator how you want
There’s no real consequences for these choices aside from some voicelines and stuff in case you’re wondering
There is one that will have an impact about the Lotus in the New War, and so to not give spoilers. Choose the option you like and think fits, the visuals can be changed later and don’t matter
Tysm
That's actually a reference to Amir's VA being the new Mario voice— and the chat itself is a recreation of Quincy's VA finding out
He’s Luigi, Wario and Waluigi too iirc
Yeah, Kevin's doing a great job.
Was a little iffy at first with the main 2 Bros, but he's putting in the work
Which makes me wonder: is there a timeline (or set of timelines) for every individual child (i.e. the Tenno that each player plays as) that makes the deal with Wally?
Not likely?
Essentially all outcomes have occurred right?
As all branches exist simultaneously? If I understand the zeramin cutscene correctly
I'll still argue there's only really 1 reality.
And the Void just makes like "what if" things in it sometimes
Like drifter or Rev Prime.
As I see it. All branches exist, the void lets things move between them outside of the movement that is viewed as linear time. It's unclear what makes a branch, or makes one accessible... Why can we only get help from the Drifter, and not the Tenno who decided to have cereal instead of toast for breakfast today?
Because all of the other versions of the player Tenno were killed off during the deal. Operator and Drifter are the only two that remain.
including somehow future branch versions of the Tenno.
though the whole "future" and "branch" parts are inconvenient language for the whole "everything is happening at once in inaccessible locations"
it could result in a certain determinism to the Tenno's life. Having only one path through events in which they can even exist.
Well from the Zariman Tablets the Drifter might be part of the like "lingering stuff from the reality that was supposed to be". Cuz without Wally the Zariman just stays in the Void forever.
@misty salmon okay So The Unum has "time powers" only in that she can SEE all possible outcomes and direct people towards the one she wants but she can't like go to a different timeline or something.
She can stop time though
Like in the New War
I don't know enough about the Unum to discount her ability to move between timelines. She does seem to be interested in adjusting this timeline for some reason. There's some reason why it is important to her, and it is important that particular things happen during it to keep it on some sort of track.
That's local and idk if it's stopping time or just slowing down time localy.
Not necessarily. It seems more she's writing things her way to a outcome she wants. Quills re-writing histroy?
Eh? Cuz Onnko says she showed him different outcomes and he did this cuz it was the best for his love Saya.
I mean
I don’t think she needs to move into different timelines if she just
Exists in each timeline
So there’s no reason to move when she’s technically already there
a lot of it comes back to having some understanding of what the Unum actually is, and the actual evidence is more than a little sparse.
Warframe: If the lore ain't vague as hell, it just ain't there!
very fair assessment honestly.
So i got this super cheap filament for my 3D printer says “Made in Höllvania”
Okay why is my machine chasing the neighbor’s cat while firing a particle beam.
😉
do you guy think Uriel is Albrecht creation or Ballas?
Kinda really hoping he’s an albrecht creation
also in Devil Triad trailer, there is void tongue voice at the end
erm
wait all of this is Hunhow words from previous quests
If the Unum can more or less just re-write history (and to an extent, reality itself) wouldn't that make her probably the 2nd most powerful known being in the WF universe after Wally?
well. maybe even more cuz she has a system wide group of people that are willing to die for her for something that might happen.
TBH other then what we've seen her do in New War I don't know what the full extent of her powers actually are, but even just based on that she has to be pretty dang powerful
Oh and her clairvoyance
"Our history is smoke" was something Natah says during the Ropalolyst fight too
this quote from hunhow is from which quest ?
yeah
I'm honestly really hoping that Uriel is a former Orokin, who was punished by being turned into a Warframe for speaking truthfully about everything the orokin were
it from Jade Shadow website
Promotional material for Jade Shadows
do you think that Adis was singing a song that made by Praghasa?
Excal Umbra v.2
Yeah umbra is not the only one
Yes, Ballas turned most of his enemies into warframes
Jade
and Stalker
Yareli
I just question it, considering a lot of dialogue from the trailer seems to suggest a theme of redemption/guilt. We don't know the final protoframe, so it would be interesting if the final unannounced one was Uriel, a former orokin who also had doubts.
But with the name it's a little difficult.
Kullervo got that treatment as well. Ballas used him as a scapegoat for a massacre that he did, we don’t know why Ballas did it though. He just kind of, murdered. As he usually does.
I suppose I'll post here since it pertains to lore - what do you guys think about the idea of the TTRPG?
The idea had already been on my mind before they announced it, but I've also wondered if the setting is fleshed out enough for an RPG. It seems to me like the lore may be too structured around the video game experience. But then again, the solar system is a big place.
So it seems to be a single "module" or whatever, just a short quest. Additionally it seems you're paired up with the Protoframes, or at least Arthur, Aoi, and maybe Amir.
Oh, I see. Seems like a smaller scope than I was expecting, but interesting nonetheless. Perhaps the more narrowed focus is more suitable than a full-on TTRPG setting module.
<@&778745217037238293>
they just dont quit huh
bruh I was rlly here wondering what it has to do with warframe lore
They sent this to every chat
I think Jade Prime would be an executioner's outfit with some Umbra-like control device
wings bound in chains, mechanically opened helmet that resembles an executioner's hood
Jade Prime would probably have some sort of crazy lore considering how the original one lived for thousands of years after the Old War until she died upon giving birth in the present.
My personal theory is that Jade Prime is what Jade looked like immediately after being turned into a Warframe, and then the baby started draining her and she started losing those Prime details
Hmm. Interesting take considering she's using most of her energy to make sure the child could live.
ngl it would've been nice to get some more 'artifacts' from darkSector when it came to 1999. Like having Lasria be mentioned-- even if none of the events of darkSector were canon to Warframe's universe, I'd like that little fanservicey bit. Or if there was a mechanic where you could pick up certain Scaldra weapons but they'd automatically explode after a while upon detecting Techrot.
(to be clear I never played darkSector until they released it for free on Steam a while back).
Im not sure how orokin gold and details would disappear while she was all camped up
but also like dont we have a shot of her saving stalker?
Those Prime Parts just end up getting absorbed into her or something, and idk maybe she lost the Prime stuff even before the Tenno rebellion, and she somehow never deteriorated after that?
idk I'm not getting paid to come up with this stuff (but if DE is hiring I totally would put effort into it)
We do lol
Did Entrati have a tv show in 1999 or did I hallucinate that aspect during the KIM convos?
No, he had a cult-like following, but nobody in the public outright knew he existed
maybe Jade Prime can be like kintsugi, she died in childbirth but we're able to remake her stronger and better than before :p
That sounds like a fever dream lmao
I see- thank you! I think my brain took the Doktor Friday nickname and spun it in the wrong direction lmao
also, Jade Prime having aspects of the Orokin Executor uniform (if there was one) would be coolio
It’d be really cool if albrecht randomly decided to make a tv show in 1999 but at the same time you’d start to worry that was a Wally copy cuz ain’t no way our boy albrecht started a whole tv show like that lmao
Re:Jade Prime; They already added the Prime as Upgrade lore, there's no need for something convoluted
Jade Prime will likely have to be connected to Jade (Soren's wife) in some way. Because otherwise it would imply the Orokin made at least one other pregnant woman into a Warframe
It could also be that Jade was Prime originally and deteriorated. The "memory" at the start of the quest is hardly representative of how it actually went down to be honest.
Not necessarily nothing says only one Jade was made
All copies of Jade are pregnant looking, probably without an actual baby like the original.
Doesn’t really need to be fleshed out enough for an rpg, since one could do a lot of the fleshing out on it’s own
I think they are, hence the dual aura.
I guess that's true. Extra morbid though
Ive never been a fan of "prime deterioration"
Your iPhone 16 Pro Max cant deteriorate into an iPhone 16
Yeah but your 20 year old prime self can deteriorate to your 60 year old self
20 year olds don’t have golden embellishments and supertech
I wish I did
but its relying on the evidently shaky assumption that theres no major distinction between base and primes
which yknow, the blue prints and their components show extensively
Like primes were made better than their base counterparts
the idea of deterioration heavily relies on somehow only prime components disappear
I don't think that's a canonical thing. Never heard of it before, anyway.
it isnt, but its an old idea
With Jade it makes sense, her base form is actively deteriorating as she's driving her energy into her baby
But not in that way. We saw her during the Old War, and she looked just the same.
except it still runs into the issue of why only prime components disappear
^ yea plus the "faulty memory" argument is a weak one
its an argument derived just to justify prime deterioration
I can see a couple possibilities. Ballas cloned her and the baby in her, then used those clones to make a Prime. Ballas made a copy of base Jade to upgrade (I think unlikely), or Ballas took another pregnant lady to make the Prime. I guess we will find out in time, though. It would be a heck of a shame if we don't get a Prime trailer for her.
or ballas takes the resultant Jade design, upgrades it into a prime, and then uses it on someone else
dont have to be preggo if the blueprint makes you preggo
It might be needed, but we just don't know for sure yet all the specifics. A purely Helminth-made copy is one thing, but there may be more restrictions on transforming someone.
I think only the original needed a "volunteer", the rest would just be clones.
huh...does that mean that the chroma we fought in the quest wasnt controlled by the sentients but rather the infested?
I'm still kind of murky on that, honestly.
Chroma could just be controlled by Sentient infested
...cuh?
All Warframes are Infested
yeah i know but like how would sentient infested work?
Nemesis do you mean sentient the faction or sentient like sentient beings
ALSO gotta point out that while warframes are infested a different strain of the infestation could easily control them
as an example there was a mesa who got infested by the mutalist strain
I mean controlled by Sentient Infested unit
Nemesis
ok so like... an infested CREATURE who retained its sentience somehow or a SENTIENT who somehow got infested?
Sentient as in the faction or as in a Sentient being
Yo lore ppl
We got anything for my boy cyte 09?
Sentient faction
I thought chroma was just being self aware and doing random stuff?
Noooooooo
You have quincy and thats as close as it'll get
Like how we just have self aware frames like Dante and Oraxia
Yeah, Dante just levitates around the Sanctum Antomica collecting knowledge
Now that
Is cool asf
Or ordering stuff, like the scribe he is.
dante is a pre-tenno frame, so he got to try to keep his noggin
not anymore...
Well, now we have him committing atrocities with us
Explain pls
OK ABOUT THE SELFAWARE WARFRAMES there are 3 generations of warframes. 1st gen is the generation that was not only self aware but also could work on their own, Rhino was the last of the 1st generation and also the reason for its shutdown (he went berserk). 2nd gen is the warframes who had a transference bolt installed into them, rendering them unable to act on their own without a tenno controlling them. 3rd gen of warframes is the generation we have, mere shallow puppets with no human in them
Jesus
no there are not "3 generations"
there are pre tenno frames and post tenno frames
Is that why ballas was like “the warframes all of them, failures”
there is no real distinction between post tenno frames that start of as humans and post tenno frames that are made from the foundry
Pre tenno as in the first batch?
also like rhino is not the reason for the shut down lmao, they were testing on the almost-rhino because the warframe project was already a bust
but there is? The post tenno frames still had some human activity in them, no? Like they could only think but not act
Pre-tenno we're the first load of warframes that werent bound by being controlled, they could walk and do stuff. Free thinking, but some that little infestation infected their noggin.
Sorta caused to be more feral over time
well arguably rhino was the reason because it was him who lead to the discovery of the effect the tenno have on the warframes no? the 2 researchers seeing that he got calm after getting into a room with a tenno child
thats a whole different topic
okey
Practically.
Then we got the post tenno frames, these were ones that could be controlled by the tenno.
So kiddo is what our parents called us as a nickname presumably and Wally uses that
Ig wally is just fond of childhood nicknames
Considering he called Albrecht little bangel
Imagine the reason why Orokin exist is because Albrecht came back to the past. Though that would make a paradox
The Oro already existed without Albrecht, so doubtful
What
Oh you mean O.R.O
The first O is Omnia irrc
And Amir said he working in reactor factory or sth like that
So Omnia Reactor O
Either way it still sound like that company evolving from being in electric industry to dictator because of Albrecht
well if you were to be a cosmic entity who doesnt know clem about humanity or whoever really, but are able to see their past wouldnt you assume that using those nicknames that brought that lesser entity some sort of good vibes and or calmness would be a good idea?
also from this suggest there is 2 more planet beside the big one in "Tau 2026"
Well, 1 planet and another moon. That should make 2 moons and 2 planets then, if I'm not mistaken.
Wonder which one of them does the KIM chats refer to as "Tau"
in Tau 2026 image, at least 3 moons (count the one we standing on), 1 planet
in the other image I sent earlier shown another one with another moon with it
where did you get this from?
very cool
there are 3 moons, plus the one the view is from (called Perita in the gameplay demo), and one large planet, with the red energy.
Info about him got purged from records, including his actual name
And kullervo
Anyway about Stalker
He basically could be one of Ballas new experiment for "more obedient" warframe without his most hated being: the Tenno @eager dragon
About Abrecht, he literally gambling on the Protoframe lmao... and meddling with the void, while WALLY is in there
True, but what Orokin would accept that as a protector when Ballas himself was protected by a Tenno-piloted frame
He literally convinced not once, but twice to exploit the Sentient to the Seven lmao
Also Ballas have a device that would make Warframe stand still
So even if Stalker is like Kullervo all over again, he would managed to stop him
Also the difference here is, Kullervo remember everything, while Stalker is like a reprogrammed robot
Even after all Orokin is dead, he still serve them
My take is that stalker was an unnecessary bit of orokin cruelty, compounded by the fact that evidently stalker wasnt even that important of a guardian to the Orokin, since he was , as before, a Low guardian
They were also not exactly in a position of many options. Unless they were running out of Tenno (which I guess it's kinda possible?), it just seems to me like they would have sent him to the war against Sentients instead of anywhere close to other Orokin.
Unless there was something else than just promises
Could be also to spite Jade that if she managed to meet him, he wouldn't remember her, make her sad or sth like that
Ballas really like to see ppl suffer
entertainment
The point is yes the Orokin were frequently needlessly cruel, and yes that brought them great joy
Didn’t Xaku make itself, more or less?
The Void to be more precise
The Prime however is probably have Albrecht hand on it
Okay so Jade was turned into a Warframe while pregnant right? Still had the baby inside her and all that. But what about the "Jade" we build in our foundry? Do they also have a weird helminth homunculus baby inside them or is it just some kind of energy well where a baby would be?
It's probably not anything that can be birthed I imagine
Like I think only the original Jade had an actual infant inside her and the reconstructed Jade(s) just have a energy well of some kind, but I'm not like 100% sure that's the case
Probably copy the baby too, hence 2 aura
But we can't make another "Orion/Sirius" cuz that would take hundreds of years of sleeping and focus on that child
I think because the baby in the original jade was also already a ball of energy (recall the birthing simulator), it would be similar to when we make Jade again
ball of energy
Tbh I think the Orokin would keep the theme for the primes too
Unless Ballas sick enough to make another pregnant woman become prime
The Orokin in general are tbf
Which make sense tbh
Only ones with special transference bolts(=umbra)
Is that so? But isn't him also push us out of our frame
No
The beam is prob using something like concentrated orphix fields
Yeah, so he could have sth like that
He absorbed an archon shard before that
It not impossible for him to have device that would disable warframe at will
(For him only ofc)
It's unlikely
You know he is
The reason Jade had her baby was because she focused and sacrificed her entire energy to allow the baby to gestate and properly form
Thus the Tenno’s Jade is fine unless they actively spend centuries on using the Jade’s energy to form that child
Makes sense though the idea of the Orokin using MORE pregnant women to create more Jade's, well it's very in character for them I guess
The jade light was powerful
Let the OP do that by sleeping again, then time travel into 500 years later and take the baby, then repeat. We will have army of Orion/Sirius /j
That’s why Ordis was confused at first because a warframe’s energy is like “almost infinite”
Jade was giving up her energy so the baby has that energy to live.
Revenant Mesmer skin: sure old lady, let's get you to bed
So that baby has her Jade’s Light
And is being raised by the guy who hunted Warframes
This child will be a nightmare to enemies
Wasn't it bypassed at release? They nerfed it afterwards though, unfortunately.
More like a jade core
On a side note I'm only a little bit disappointed Jade has no Jade light related ability
The augment though
No only when Nullifier from Corpus or Demolyst could disable the ability. Otherwise it basically immune to everything
Kinda underwhelming though.
What augment?
I could have sworn that the Jade light beam bypassed Mesmer Skin on release. Combined with the Giga-Damage they dealt it was very funny.
Ah yeah, it does do that but not killing Rev
That’s because Jade’s energy was being siphoned for the Jade’s Light laser by the Seven
She herself didn’t actively form the laser of vaporization basically
She was basically the battery for it
Augment exist though
Which is effed up in so many levels
Also she did use laser in trial as she said in her memory
I think
Still her 1 and 4 is as powerful as the jade light anyway
(In lore)

Maybe I am aging
I may be getting forgetful
Ye but some characters mention using the light in some capacity via weapons.
Iirc one of the holdfast mention using the jade light to off themselves
I think "jade light" is a fancy term, in reality it can be use as laser bullet or beam
This one
Considering Jade Light Eximus
They can probably store the energy for later use
I think Margulis died to some contraption like the endurance trial in Lua
But with Jade beam
The yellow beam is op too lmao, it insta kill almost anything
Oh, neat
Duration affects it's duration (it scales the same way as normal jade beams I think) and strength affects it's probability to occur (I think)
Laughs in Mesmer skin
Also Void Mode
It’s green-
Or uh
Jade specially
The Ones that give Radiation status effects?
(Imagine 2 Qorvexes being hit by that lol)
No it just deal tons of dmg
OH
Sorry lol
The one in defense will insta kill you though
Death orb don't do that much unless you stand still
I kinda wish that when his shield is gone he will explode deal radiation dmg around him
Wait Revenant already have it and it suck
Not really
Revenant's deals knockdown too, so everyone gets floored when the shield breaks
Gives you some breathing room to get out of there
Press 2
Boring
You don't need to get out
When you can press t-w-o
Sometimes, I enjoy being mortal
Say that to those so called "Old Valkyr main" keep whining about rework
Those people either expect afk to be allowed, or haven't touched Valkyr post rework and have no clue what they're talking about
Valkyr's rework made her better than straight invulnerability
It is funny
I just get bored with being immune all the time
guys in the recent devshort there's a possible way in to Tau
secret in the blackness
Yeah. It's especially funny that Inaros and Revenant are super similar, but I have more fun with inaros
They were trolling
The shield detonation is hilarious
gotta be something tho
Imagine nuke scale. Qorvex need it
Maybe
Should probably have a cooldown if they make it that scale though
Yeah I think so too
Qorvex honestly doesn't really need anything. The only thing that he could maybe use is a touchup so you don't have to invest so much in him to make it work.
The augments do a fine job of that though.
I mean he kinda need to look more like a nuke
Unless DE gonna make a bomb frame
Which surprisingly not yet exist
Not really, because he's not based on a nuke. He's based on radiation and containing it, which concrete is notably pretty good at being used for.
He's meant to contain the murmur
The new fungi could be a gas theme
Qorvex isn't a nuclear bomb frame, he's a nuclear reactor frame
The murmur also tend to do radiation damage which Qorvex being concrete in lore, doesn't give a crap about
Still it would make sense that he would have some kind of explosion, or at least create a "aura" that radiates radiation
Nova could count
She deals mainly in
blast damage, after all
He does. it's called using his pillars.
Iirc Murmur is weak to radiation though
I mean from himself
Most iterations of void exposure seem to imply that it's similar to radiation in some way
It's why it's degenerative
You do realize that he is meant to be crowd control, not a damage frame, right?
Tbh we need a bomb (literal bomb) frame
And irl radiation kill ppl
Also his 4 literally meant to deal high dmg lmao
does not compute
all warframe must deal level cap damage with abilities
even Loki
beep boop
Loki is special because nothing in his kit deal dmg
Yeah. But having one ability to do damage doesn't make you a damage frame. Kullervo, on the other hand, is very much a damage frame
Actually, Radial Disarm deals impact damage
It's pretty much negligible though
Tbh there is frame that use ability to deal dmg and frame that buff their weapon to deal dmg. Qorvex is 80% doing that with his 4
Qorvex doesn't get massive amounts of damage because he doesn't need it. All of his abilities are centered around crowd controlling, grouping enemies and then popping your four to chain effect explode groups of enemies into dying.
All the four does is facilitate that play style.
And his new augment clearly is for dealing more dmg
Augments are not part of the base design though
They either enhance or alter it
I mean the grouping not really great consider you need to be in a big room and exact straight hallway
Yeah and his four goes in a straight line which is perfect for it
You're meant to use his two into his four
Especially if you have the pillars up
His whole thing is guarding one particular area, he is literally meant to guard the sanctum, as we can see his pillars in sanctum mirror defense
He's meant to hold the fort
That said.. I won't lie that the two should probably scale in range by both width and length rather than just length
That's still not an excuse for a poorly made kit.
Beside radiation is useless outside cc (which heat could do better since if you keep applying heat they would get perma cc, and cold too) it offer no dmg quality (for your weapon).
And look at Wisp. She mainly a cc frame too, yet why ppl like playing her than Qorvex. More than that, her 3 is even better than anything Qorvex can offer. Crowd control? Big dmg? All in one.
Qorvex base kit just feel like he was made for standing still and protect, which is not really apply well in 70% of Warframe gameplay unless you are farming materials
Or doing Defensive objectives, which his lore LITERALLY states he was meant for.
By your logic, he's doing exactly what he should
Not every frame needs massive immediate damage
And the chance for enemy accidentally hit the objective still there
Yeah? Just kill them
He's not a frame you can go brain dead on
Which I know this community doesn't like
Of course
That's why you can't rely fully on abilities
If warframes were meant to do that, we wouldn't have guns or melee
Not to mention that he's an energy hog. Which. you can use that time. to use your guns, build up your energy again, and then re-enact Chernobyl.
But again
If his kit ONLY offer cc
While other frame has little cc yet more affective than him (Wisp etc)
Why should I choose him
And also, why having high armor, when your kit does not even scale with armor in ANY WAY
Nobody is playing wisp because she has insane damage its because her motes are cracked support
Or the stupid reason
Yes but like I said, she have ONE ability that deal cc (minus her 4 since it suck), but it offer more than 4 ability that Qorvex could offer
That's why you got to use his entire kit, bucko!
Corvex has a great augment that kills things. Wisp also does now though.
I like my Radiation boio
Not everyone needs to like him but I like him
Oh but these 2 don't count augment
People like him after the augment.
Why dont augments count
I liked him long before the augment
I don't even intend to get that
Why? Do you hate warframes being good?
Use the augment.
I liked him before the augment
The augment simply makes me develop a different build I sometimes use
Wisp also has a 4 augment now that's really good.
Because the way I use him (and the content I play), I don't need the augment
I like him as a concept
I dislike how DE make his kit feel like it doesn't do much
Which before the augment her 4 was useless.
I also just don't want it
It took me a moment though to understand his kit and how to properly use it, I will admit
They even know radiation suck so they add toxin and heat in her 4th augment 💀
This
He tends to be better in higher enemy density places, which includes steel path. Also the fact that you have to build him for range not strength, which does feel a little weird.
I still think the main problem with him is that you had to invest a lot into him to make him functional. Which reminds me of pre-augment seva
Not even counting the shadow
2 main nitpick I have with him
-
Having one of the highest armor stat yet useless in his kit
-
Why punch through? It sound nice but why not make "Qorvex will make radiation do this or that" passive? Even Hydroid has sth to do with Corrosive
He a range boio
Yeah his passive is awkward
Yeah I do agree on the passive...
It would be good on someone like Cyte
Like
“Is this referencing how gamma radiation pierces everything orrrr? Why not just..something to boost his radiation proc?”
Maybe he gets more dangerous based on radiation procs around him to encourage more rad spreading
Not really it'd be mostly useless considering seek give effectively infinite pt
Just a suggestion, ik his hit have massive punch through
If??? You're definitely mucking something up here
With ability
Yes
Oh, huh
Which in ETA or EDA he can't
Wait that on PURPOSE????
Okay that I'm not aware of. But the amount of people who also do those game modes are kind of sparse
Also his animation is really slow, especially his 2
And he stuck there while casting it 😭
Yeah, but also the man is literally made of concrete. of course he's slow
Iirc, his original passive was going to be bonus Radiation damage on all his weapons
But people rioted over that, so they changed it to punchthrough
It should honestly be bonus rad to ability damage and weapons
I'm going down the rabbit hole
Phat warframe
Full of concrete
Because I will admit, his biggest problem is that he CAN do damage, but he requires a lot of investment to get him to work. You need a decent amount of topaz shards, which are not cheap
can a member of DE confirm if I'm getting close?
or like just play hot and cold
Tbh you need to sleep
I don't think anything is there
So
They rioted over
The Radiation Frame doing more Radiation damage
It's probably less because of that, and more because he might mess with builds
"wArFrAmE tOo eAsY" they said
look at 3 secret bosses and Babau
More likely, their problem was that his passive would mess up their precious Influence weighting
Warframe too eas-

Wait, Whispers was where melee arcanes were introduced
whoops
I despise anyone in any game complain that it was too easy
Ah yes
Warframe too easy
Meanwhile I am fighting for my life in the end game content
This is an rpg and I am roleplaying as the victim
If players make the game too easy for themselves, that's their problem
Genshin and HSR is suffer the same fate too. Ppl saying "why this season too easy". And they proceed to put in 10 millions hp with 2 mins to beat it
I do question if that isn't more of a game balance issue though
DE PLS CONFIRM
If it is real, they put it there for you to discover, they're not going to help play hide and seek
Because new thing do too much dmg so they have to do the "hp inflation"
ya right
Same with warframe but DE do not buff hp (entirely). Instead they buff dmg attenuation
Which admittedly does cause a problem. either players need nerfed, which isn't fun.
or buff bosses but it can become a problem like people complain about.
what are we supposed to be looking at lol
Also funny that some of ETA EDA modifiers outright disabled OP/Drifter
So the new rework for Focus school is usless in those 2 mode anyway
The worst part is, I don't even really know if health buffing would be that useful. Especially not when people can just do damage cap, give enemies vulnerability and still do millions of damage.
I personally think the problem is people believe new stuff needs to be stronger than the old stuff
Which then leads to the power creep issues
Hp buffing is fine since dmg ramping up a lot
Dmg attenuation is not
Those arnt hard
Hard isn't the word
Infuriating
The new stuff should be fun unique and powerful. But it shouldn't need to be meta every single damn time. which also still isn't an excuse for releasing bad or mediocre weapons. I'm looking at the majority of the scaldra weapons, unfortunately...
Artificially inflating hp pools via damage attenuation and completely nulifiying frame choices for the most part isn't good difficulty its boring really
"Oh no what should we do with new content, let just add nullifier and dmg attenuation"
I saw potential in the new boss in Old Peace
But it gonna have 99% dmg res anyway and dmg cap at 500 in secret mode
It also super hurts the amount of frames you can play in high content. I would love to play more crowd control frames, but I just get screwed over for wanting to play what I like
And how, exactly, do you balance that opinion?
How do you keep something from automatically becoming META without shoving down into bad or mediocre?
As far as I can see, that's quite the trick
I hate when boss is not targetable by ability
Kullervo 2 do NOTHING with the Fragment One
De refuses to introduce mechanical difficulty because putting a shape in a shape hole would be too complex for an average warframe player
Just make insane hp or buff armor again
I don't want my dmg to be 3 digit
The main issue just comes from how absolutely bloated the buffs in this game get. Like, Saryn's been the poster child of that for years
Clearly they just make the Hunhullus the secret boss
Ideally they introduce mechanics that "disrupt the enemies defenses" by that i mean completely remove the damage attenuation from a boss after a mechanic is completed
Also F the Vampiric abilities from eximus
something is going on
Why those healing scaling on level
I would honestly love that, but that would require de actually making good hints, and having good boss structure.
Meaning the average wf player can just bullet hose the boss down but you can also kill the boss faster by doing its mechanic
I mean you dont need hints really
The corrputed Sentient have some "Undertale" kind of atk that we can dodge
No, but trying to fight something like the ropalolyst for the first time solo is a pain in the unmentionables
...that is an idea I don't believe I've heard before
That might work
or it might cause a wave of outrage from the Kela de Thaym haters, but eh. Fuggedaboutem
If the mechanic is something in the arena you can interact with eventually enough monkeys will throw enough bananas at the object till one monkey pieces together what bananas they need to throw
I don't mind Kela, I just hate how she's attached to Saryn's farm
If i am left in an arena with non static objects I will interact with them until something happens
If something glows I will shoot it and press every button available on it
If I can pick something up I will look for a deposit space
My problem is I forget about the spinning switches you need to shoot
And then I have to figure out how to shoot the switches with a Tenet Arca Plasmor
Oraxia "spider swarm" phase is quite nice until those nullifier bubble one run into you
That's not every player though. There should still be some semblance of a guide that doesn't tell you straight out. And also make multiple voice lines so it doesn't get grating.
Instead of knocking you to the ground
They can just suck all overguard that I have
Yeah but that's less of a fault of the boss and more on you
I thought about a rework to lich/sister fights
I don't like the spiders because I think they count as objects and don't take crits :(
But it kinda overtuned though, unlike corpus nullifier or even demolyst, your shield and overguard stayed
While this basically the apex tank all over again
Also I hate that they take 3 digit dmg, from a red crit kullervo
Hot take: the lich system doesn't need changed. Actually hunting down the lich is kind of fun, however, requiem relics need to be reworked or removed entirely.
The biggest roadblock is actually getting the requiems you need.
Like why you have to nerf melee only for Liches? (Not Coda, they are balanced)
Loki saves the heck out of me for Oraxia
I just stick to a wall and evade the spider problem forever
Sister is fine, Liches are just way too slow for no reason. After farming a couple Liches you should have more Requiem Relics than you can use for the mods.
But... just wall latch?
Ah yes 5s wall latch is gonna save me from 10 spiders that can't take crit dmg
Had almost 500 Requiem Relics by the time I was finished grinding out my Liches
During the fight doors will open leading to grineer/corpus vaults these vaults will each contain a symbol this symbol will correlate with another symbol in the arena a player in the arena must step on the symbol in order to drop the lich and perform a stab dropping the lichs health by a 1/3rd do this 3 times and lich is dead
Stepping on the wrong symbol punishes you idk how maybe you just blow up or something
Also this would completely overwrite the current murmer system you just fight the lich instantly
Also the wall kinda suck to latch on for some reason
It's timer based. Just wall latch a couple times, no need to kill the spiders.
They should honestly add a bounty system like the coda for the Requiem mods. Could probably put it on the kuva fortress, or make them a thing you can just naturally get regularly via kuva farming
It still annoying though
Make Kuva Siphon guaranteed Relic, Kuva Flood guaranteed Requiem Mod. Boom.
🤷♂️ Not that hard though, merely slightly inconvenient
I think during hunting for the "murmur" clue they should drop a random requiem mod with low chance or sth
I'm going to go though, I don't want to keep arguing about game balance. At the end of the day we're just yelling at a wall, and just getting negative
That's what I meant
I never said these content is hard (beside 3 apex bosses)
It just irritating to fight against them
There is no longer fun playing in these content if I keep stressing out from those enemies with nullifier or/and dmg attenuation
Like I'm supposed to kill a lot in survival but 10 Dedicant spawn in ruining it
I just don't think it affects the fight much to be honest.
Attenuation sucks though.
Why 1999 enemy is stronger than a modified clone in the future??????
Friendly reminder that the best tactic for 60 Eyes that people came up with was Oberon bleedout timer strats with Grimoire
Bosses these day is dmg sponge and "no ability and shield gate for you"
To be fair the 60 eyes is also obscenely easy if you aim glide, unlike say Janus Vor which barely has space to maneuver.
I get your point though, yes.
Who would win?
An Eldrich Being that sent to destroy fabric of time
Or
A greedy clone
Besides umbra which warframe do you think has the best story ? Imo it's sevagoth
Sevagoth mentioned
But Jade, in my opinion
Oooo that's a good contender yk
Gara
Literally volunteered herself to the whole warframe thingy, a true chad, or stacy should I say.
Btw, on another matter, do y'all think the vessels could theoretically help the rest of the entrati family to escape their current state?
why doesn't loid make normal sized vessels for that
though it might be a bit awkward for necraloid to introduce normal loid
At that point we might as well just transfer them to a non-gray strain warframe
Idk, vessels sound more safe than warframes
“Mother here’s basically your father’s unofficial hubby. You remember him, he did teach you stuff.”
In fact isn’t like
Some of Mother’s personality and stuff gained from learning from Loid
Because Necroloid did make some comment to Loid about that
I think it's probably not safe to try to like, transference/continuity a mind that's actively being subsumed by the infestation, albeit very slowly. It might do more harm than good
Do you guys think its possible the Sentients discovered or activated the man in the wall? I'm not too into the lore, but realized that the Zariman Ten Zero incident coincides with when the Sentients most likely made contact with Tau, and I've never heard this mentioned before in lore discussion or theories. I feel like I'm on to something but I'm sure others have already noticed this lol
We know they didn't, the entirely of the murals in Whispers In The Walls depicts Albrecht's encounter with Wally with the first trip to the Void that bore fruit
albrecht is possibly the responsable for wally existing
Or for him being able to screw with us on the scale he does
once he made the trip to the void
the void did some sort of Conceptual Embodiment with his personality and it seems like this way wally was born
this part is a theory tho
but for sure we know that albrecht is responsible with wally interest in origin system
ah, I thought the Zariman Indident was the very first appearance of Wally ever
Albrecht is the first person to find/activate/whatever Wally.
Without Albrecht opening the wall, and creating the heart of Deimos, we wouldn’t have Warframes or void travel
Given all the hassle going on in the story, probably better it stay that way lmao
That incident with Albrecht is still just in his mind or the void no? Could the Sentients going to Tau have let Wally manifest in the world?
He literally went into the Void
He fell into the void
That's the whole spheel.
I've been trying to theorize on my own why the Sentients were silent upon returning to the Orokin, and what they encountered or saw in Tau
yeah so im saying that the zariman is the first time wally manifests in the world, outside of the void
Before Albrecht fell in the void had proved to be nothing
Then Albrecht fell in and saw himself smiling back at him and ran
When the portal closed it closed on Wally’s finger(s) which were then used to power projects like the Zariman
He was blinded and became mute after because seriglass shredded his face and neck. Which got turned to shards from the “wall” that he used to go to the void
That happened IN the void
The other him called Albrecht by a name he hadn’t heard in years
Little bengal
The first time Wally may have manifested outside of the void was to Yonta before the jump
Regardless there’s nothing that currently connects Wally to the Sentients
Also the radio silence from the sentients only happened after the rail was destroyed and the Tenno had won essentially
Wally likes to screw with vulnerable people. As seen with the Tenno and Rusalka. He took advantage of their situations to get something out of them.
Which uh
Why would they interact with the system and species that they fought a war against cause the Orokin wanted the home they made for themselves
With us it’s still an unknown, he wants our light, whatever that may be
With her it was a door into 1999
i like to imagine the light bit was very literal, your man in the wall just wanted a cool flashlight
We’ll find out in time!
Which uh
We do get that light during tnw
Yeah. Quote
“I was dying, y’know. Sucking down poison to kill the techrot in my lungs…” she was in a bad spot. Wally used it to his advantage. Held out her own severed arm “…offered me Life”
huh, so she is gonna become Techrot if Wally not helping her
Neci Proto is possible then
Is there a good youtube channel that can walk me through the last 4 years of warframe lore
im so lost rn
More likely the efervon would kill her
Eeeh, I wouldn’t say so
either way she will die, at least the efervon keep her sane
She was ingesting efervon, the anti-infestation goo
She was fighting it
It also was likely just techrot, not helminth
And now she’s a puppet
Yeah there's barely any trace of herself left anymore
I mean ik it just Techrot, but still plausible if DE wanted to. Techrot after all just a ancient version of Infested
No, there’s traces
did you collect all the fragment?
I mean ig but idk, they seem very adamant about her not being a proto
Likely cause her story is more tied to Wally :p
There's still definitely part of her in there. A lot of the isleweaver pop up dialogue swaps between Wally taunting us and speaking from neci's perspective
I think (more like copium) that DE will make Wally throw her away and somehow she still live and become sth else since she def have void energy inside
||She sends us the hat and medal and the password for her parents ||
I put both on Kalymos and it fit pretty well
Unless he takes it all with him
Also if she doesn’t just die
if that the case we still have Duviri natural void energy
What?
I mean Vala did survive a black hole to the Granum void
Isleweaver is about kicking her off the throne
Also just being in the void doesn’t give you powers
idk about that, the void is really unpredictable, like Kullervo just fall into Duviri and the void just form a whole island just for him
Granum controls his void so I can see that being how she survived
Yes, that’s conceptual embodiment
Emotions and concepts interacting with the void
in that case, Neci still have a chance
To live, yes
To be a proto? Eeeh
proto is far fetch ik, but I would like to see her become sth else, like reborn into half void half human, kinda like the Holdfast but not "dead"
I don’t think we know why Wally is holding onto her actually?
Ig cause she’s a tether?
I mean that would still be conceptual embodiment
With that anything is possible
probably we p*ss him up and since Albrecht is on Tau (and somehow out of reach for Wally), he would take his vengeance on the Drifter
He went after Duviri as retaliation for 1999
Possibly due to Neci’s emotions too
yeah, that why I said "we p*ss him up"
since we create "love" and protect the loop from Wally
Could be through whatever love she may have that we beat Wally
also he just want to find clues about the finger
He does want his finger
But also more
He’s not just gonna get his finger and leave
I mean if he managed to get the finger, even the strand of Khra is just a plaything for him
Yupp
kinda like Sukuna need all finger to be all powerful
tbh without the finger and he still this strong, I can't imagine what would he do if Wally have it back
Just realized the finger is probably on Tau which is why Albrecht is going there
The question is how is it there
why would Orokin put a void finger on Tau alongside with the Sentient though
We may find out when we get there
huh
@restive river got an lore theory's I'm wondering what is in your mind if a brain
Making her a proto would just be injecting her with a Helminth strain. It would need to be built up, but that's true of any outcome.
I really doubt she’ll be a proto
Maybe it's unlikely, but not impossible
can you imagine Neci becomes a protoframe and you use her gemini into a scaldra mission lmao
In this hypothetical, I'd hope she has special voice lines
Unlikely and improbable
But sure, not impossible
It’s clear her being a proto wasn’t part of the plan and I doubt she’ll become one if ever due to her nature in the story currently
There’s also the problem of what frame she’d be, the fan pick was taken by her mom
She could be a new one ofc too
This also hinges on her getting the helminth strain and having a method to combat the infestation
Her being plopped back into the 1999 loop would likely change a lot if she just showed up as a protoframe, she was seemingly an important figure
what does void attuned mean?
Attuned: able to understand/adapt to/recognize something.
Example: You will understand the accent better as your ears become more attuned.
So, Al's frase "They have become partial Warframes,[...] Void-attuned, capable" could mean they're adapted to the void and it's properties in order to be able to use their void-powers.
TLDR: Means adapted, most likely.
Among all the warframes which warframe in your opinion sounds cool asf
lavos, my main, primed himself
i heard if you do that too much you go blind?
important lore statement: lettie's name isn't legal on OSCAR/AIM
I think every other name is!
Xaku
Three frames went on a void expedition
One came back
Three as One
Also they have direct void powers
Sevagoth, captain of the Tempestarii, his whole mission was to rescue ships stranded in the void until he himself got lost in a void storm one day. And even then, his shadow continues to pilot the Tempestarii looking for lost ships to rescue (based on the quest and how you appease them) and only after that, and after reuniting the body and shadow did they finally rest in peace 🥺
also the scene where the song finally plays is one of the most striking moments in the game's entire plot
yea! I was so surprised that I was suddenly thrown into basically a music video sorta, that doubles as an introduction to the shadow's abiilties XD
||you cannot fail. you cannot fall.|| you can only kill. fools continue to offer themselves up to you
it's very likely the reason i got back into the game
lmao one of my friends crashed out over the Temple stuff
I had to explain the bootstrap paradox to him, fun time.
What's even funnier is that the guys favorite sci fi movie is predestination
1999 isn’t a bootstrap though
whats fun is that Temple isnt actually a bootstraping situation
more of a U-shaped boot lace
Temple had to be developed without any existence of Flare for Flare to become Temple anyway, so no bootstrap.
Isn't that the basis of the casual loop though?
There is no loop
Not at all!
None of the 1999 situation bootstraps it way to the future
Going of name, or theming? Nekros is a high marker on the latter for me. The impending horror of death that will not allow you to rest in peace
From what I understand 1999 is a closed loop that's bound to repeat over and over, but the timeline corrects itself after and we get the radiation wars and the rise of the Orokin regardless.
Ballas never created Temple due to his strain being considered too rebellious
The timeline correcting itself is just how timelines work in WF lore. If you made a drastic change it'd just be a different timeline
It was still designed, is the thing
My understanding is that Albert just happened to have a version of Temple's grey strain when he went to 1999
eh, not exactly, the timeline "correcting" itself was a result of our own actions
Time can change, its just that our results made nothing change
*helminth. Gray is something else
For temple to be a bootstrap, ballas would have needed to see what flare became to design temple, but thats not what happened
Deimos on my mind
been grinding family rep lmao
Ballas designed what would become temple, doesnt build it, albrecht takes it, gives it to flare, who becomes temple, and completes what we know as temple whilst heading off to the future
a nice U shape
Huh.
I'll have to go back to the drawing board then. The friend was writing it off as bad writing.
idk 1999 seems to have annoyed him in general
in fairness, there are parts that arent very good or really need to be better explained
He hated TechnoCyte because to him its just the infestation but reskinned
completely forgetting that yeah, the technocyte is a distant ancestor form to the current infested
LOL, tell him he's his grandpa but reskinned
because it is lmao
I mean yeah it is but he was just using it as a way to be mad about things
The lore from Mire has hinted that the infestation always had an origin point earlier in the timeline
granted, i can understand not liking certain parts of 1999, especially like a lot of the dialogue (its very cringe/not good). but its sounding like your friends getting a bit too nitpicky on other points
I mean 1999 is part cliche movie reference part time travel hijinks
There was always gonna be some level of cheese
KIM dialogue makes me cringe because I grew up using AOL / MSN and it reminded me of the insane way I used to say things LMAO
nah but like, especially the later additions just arent good, even in that campy sort of way
feels quite the subjective experience in that regard
1999 is whatever, just wish they reworked the hand slam cutscene
and the invisible walls
Nah the geometry in the subway sections is far worse than the invisible walls
you think they dont both go hand in hand? the number of times ive been clipped on both going through most of the underground tilesets is ridiculous
Nah more invisible ways in the weird nooks of the subway would help the geometry issue. My gripes with the invisible walls are in the surface areas
I just hate the map in subway
I mean I'm relatively new to the scene but according to some of my vet friends, hollvania being a tileset was preferred over the open world stuff like Plains of Eidolon, Cambrion Drift & Orb Vallis
at least thats how they stated it
Oh and the objective telling you to shoot while airborne while you’re underground
Open world wasn't good, tilesets were better etc
I wish it just didn’t exist and the loop just looped
yeah this
How did the Infestation even get to the derelicts, actually
what is this frame in the Jupiter junction cutscene? does it have a name or anything? it kinda looks like Excal
Excalibur with a skin
Pendragon Helment and the Immortal Skin. @warped light
ohhhhhhhhh
@warped light any other questions? Feel free to ask.
isn't it supposed to be valkyr?
or is the pendragon-immortal also there and i'm misrememberig
Those two go perfectly together btw
It's not. The cutscene is Alad V selling off Warframes to the highest bidders.
Just a thing ive observed like they're made for each other
Yeppers.
ah alright
in lore, how heavy are the warframes?
somewhere inbetween a 40k imperial guardsmen and a Space Marine in weight
Somehow I missed that cutscene
Isn't Alad supposed to be able to steal your Warframe if you fail?
getting killed by Zanuka supposedly has a whole hidden game mode
that's only if the invader hynea kills you.
that's not from the boss fight.
OH
NO WONDER I COULDN'T FIND IT!!!
that's from if you side with the grinner in invasions
you get a Mark of the Zenukia something.
you really have to go out of your way at this point to get to it.
just like how if you side with the coprus Too many times you fight the gustrag 3 and if you lose
you get the like thing on you.
Yeah
That doesn't have a whole hidden game mode though
yeah it's just you getting your Frame out of Alad Vs lab.
hmmmm?
oh the secret labs are in normal Jupiter missiosn
you see the Orange door and then you have to find the like "breaker" in the room and then some panels open up and you have press them in the order that is on the door.
theres a hidden glowing breaker box near the door somewhere on the same tileset
Again
No wonder I couldn't find it
and then there will be 3 panels in the room That open up and you have to press them in the combination that is on the door.
with a time limit for extra fun
and you have like 20 seconds to do it iirc
it's enough time solo but easier with a second person.
Titania makes it a bit easier but has the challenge of having to go big or transferrance to interact
shoot me down instantly if I'm wrong or if this is like... just known information but the warframe logo since 2013 has been the "lotus" her helmet, or just a symbolic flower, but is this possibly an early nod to the three minds of the lotus, the center being the woman who became mother to tenno, one to be symbolic of moral duty and eternalism (margulis) and another to be symbolic of order and determinism (natah)
I might be wrong on this but I just want second thoughts, if you even want you can throw alignment into it, the white being moral duty, and the black being order
Could be right.
Not too wild.
The Lotus symbol was used all the way back in darkSector. I believe the implication was that it was a rebel group working alongside Hayden Tenno's actions from the shadows, but because of the way they wrote darkSector (basically they wrote a bunch of stuff but cut it out, asked themselves if it works, decided it does work but then no one realized that the reason it made sense is because they worked on the game and already knew the full context) it's a bit unclear.
Knowing the writers in this game, it doesn't sound too far fletched.
There's some remnants of that in early Warframe too, I believe Lotus said things like "good job, you've done the Lotus well"
ooh! I see!
I wouldn't be surprised if they did look at the symbol when coming up with more of the Lotus' character, though
I won't lie, I was just thinking about the 3 Magi from Eva and I was about to get on warframe and I had a thought
I just realized in the flashback sequences in New War, you're sitting in the anime protagonist seat.
Back rows, next to the window.
Given the anime influence, that's almost definitely intentional
I never made that connection, I always just figured they put the player somewhere to see the void jump out the window
Two things can be true.
It also occurs to me that the Wall Man is seated in roughly the same spot in the later flashback that we were in the earlier one
Makes me wonder if we were targeted for some reason
Heh, Wally, the massive weeb, deciding we have main character vibes based off Albrecht's bootleg anime collection and an Orokin mandated official seating order.
Is ||Helminth|| canon? Wondering since our ||operator|| clearly shows emotional attachments to warframes ||(demonstrated from how they see your warframe that is left at the queens, and how they treat Umbra during The Sacrifice)||, yet we also have a living ||warframe garbage disposal|| that we just decide to ||feed warframes to||? Seems inconsistent.
There's nothing keeping Helminth from being canon, so yes
Helminth is cannon.
Lizzie even mentions that we do that.
idk who lizzie is yet lol
also us being able to do that is like the operator "connecting" with helminth
cuz before you get the segment the helminth is like scared of you and only really addresses your warframes.
but when you use the segment it speaks as if it "made a deal with you" and you are now it's "master" and it speaks to you directly a lot.
hmm that part didnt make sense for me. At first I was able to freely go into helminth room, get stabbed in the neck, but there was no conversation options or ability to do anything with helminth. Then at some point I was 'locked' out of the room until I got the segment, and it pretended it was the first time we'd met when I installed it
you can only do that with nidus OR if you have the like
neck Pustle.
well it would be the first time it's met you. the operator really.
I dont have nidus, I was able to do neck stabby, but it didn't do anything pretty sure.
it removes
the Neck thing.
you can just do it very early now.
this thing @wanton mauve
I have these options. But I don't have a thing on my neck for it to remove.
you had this but it was really small and you could get cured of it.
you do.
you just might not be able to see it.
oh snap you're right. Whats that about?
yes
Okay you just get it cured. but you can turn it into a infested dog if you want.
but otherwise get it cured cuz it just looks bad.
But yeah that's why you where able to go in there before.
oh, interesting lol. Guess I'll hold onto it for now since I'm not ready for another pet yet
it doesnt do anything bad though does it?
so by keeping it on I help other people get the dog?
the rate of infection is so high it doesnt matter
like everytime you get a new warframe theres a good chance you get the cyst within a week of playing
If you were nidus yes…right? you can help spread the infection
well you can now.
I’m sure with others but nidus seems obvious
Just be aware that once you remove a cyst, you can't get it back on that frame again
i think if you are a nidus you can infect yourself once.
unless it's nidus.
How with him?
he can get infected again i think.
@wanton mauve anyway i was saying the helminth mostly talked to your warframes until you use the segement then it directly talks to you. Also we know the helminth is cannon cuz it's in the sacrifice and it's what upkeeps our frames and what is used to make warframes.
I finished the sacrifice so I must have missed it, where was it?
it's on the like "the warfarmes we made from infested" section
it shows the helminth chair also i think ballas Says Helminth.
also we see Umbra being turned into a warfarme
it was during these slides.
" We were forced to older means. Not circuits, nor light... but flesh and disease. Our horrors past, our ravaged outer colonies... became gardens!"" "We cultured the Infestation, conceiving of a hybrid. Transformed, but only just. The 'Helminth' was created, born to yield these new warriors, worthy of battle against you. The great and terrible Hunhow." he does say Helminth.
@wanton mauve
sorry in def mission, brb
Thanks for the clarification, I didnt remember seeing the chair in the cutscenes lol. I was like "how do you miss a spiky impalement chair???" but if it was in those concept art slides I guess thats how.
thought for a second you were saying Isaah was the helminth lol
lul
you get it from nidus
afaik nidus can just keep growing cysts
@wise raven
- The Tenno are survivors of the Zariman 10-0 incident
- The "Tenno" (you) in duviri is known as "The Drifter". This is quite literally an alternate reality version of you, who could age a smidge because they werent put into cryostasis like your Operator
oh okay
So are the codas a thing fr outside of 1999 or are they on earth in the future for gameplay only?
Cuz like if an old strain of the infested come out of nowhere, singing party of your lifetime, there is going to be people noticing
So basically they freeze themselves in the past waiting us to come to the future?
Also how has no one in the origin system seen this?
Space is big
Yeah but a big ahh concert in the middle of earth proxima booming music everywhere?
And 1999 is the Origin System
I'm saying about the concert.
Isn't the corpus or the grineer gonna notice a big blob of infested mass exploding with loud 99s music?
Even the entrati or loid or smth
They would just get infested if they did
They don't have to be there, just anything
Also no way alad v isn't gonna mess with the infested just to see tf is going on
It's just that no one seems to hear or see this concert
That's why i'm asking if its still on 1999, on void, on earth fr or anything like that
If you see a giant infested mass in space, the usual response is "screw that shit Im out"
they're dormant until they detect your "void-saturated dna," iirc
so any other factions would just see a big ruined structure until you show up
Grineer captures still flee to eris sometimes.
So no way anyone isn't going to see and go there to check this new strain
Or like ask anything about it
Why are grineer capture targets who are hiding away all alone your bar of "yea the factions will check out this giant infested mass"
Fair enough
Sorta of an out of place question, but is there suppossed to be some kind of content leading to Isle Weaver?
I mean yeah.
Technically adds to Duviri and 1999
Not really? Other than new war and if you wanna do 1999 things.
I'm a little curious if the Coda would have been 3d printing boybands to harass us during the Old War era.
Yeah, what I mean is if there's something you have to make first. Like, I have the hex maxed and all, but going to the thing it's just weird. Like you have Thrax suddenly there and no previous explanation as to why. He mentioned a 'scholar' and I'm like "am I supposed to know who you talking about?"
I havent done the duviri fragments, maybe I should find those first?
Yea, Scholars Landing mentions the Scholar
Alternatively you can read what the Scholar himself says from Whispers fragments
Sythel also has a quote that hints who it is
as does Teshin in the Circuit
I mean there's also his "grave"
I'd suggest farming the lore fragments from whisper mini boss in the sanctum tileset
For the answer
Big Question I just started playing and finally got to the new war? I’m confused the drifter our older version where they always their or does it show years passed?
Play through the quest.
There's a cutscene explaining it. @teal pewter
I wish I could change the choice I made at the end of the new war it’s so lame that I can change it.
Or any choice for that matter
The quest will explain everything— or at least, answer that question while leaving a few more.
But yeah, you're playing as an older version of the Operator. Narmer (Ballas) has been in control for a while.
(Not that long tho)
anyone wanna talk about warframe's alchemical references?
i mean most of the Alchemical stuff is either Lavos or Albretch.
... its a lot deeper than that the problem is that it requires me to explain stuff from our real life 20,000 years ago
The fact the Orokin fear Alchemy is hilarious to me
Yeah, because Alchemy allows for a "lesser" being to reach greater heights
at a certain cost, of course
Hey all, new here, got real excited about Uriel, wrote this- not sure where else it would go cuz it's not "art:"
"Can the orokin be forgiven?
Thus speaketh Uriel, the flame from heaven:
I shall place them in the refiners furnace
Until their blood flows golden in streams and rivers.
Until their porcelain skin cracks and burns to ash
When their blood adorns the faces of their slaves
When their ashes enrich the soil
And their greed is a long-forgotten fairy tale-
Only then will the Orokin know peace"
personally I'd say poem/prose/writing is still art, but otherwise that is such a wonderful writing I like it a lot!
Ofc, just pretty sure fanart Is referring specifically to the visual medium 🙂
neither
Have you ever played the Assassin's Creed games before?
A Lil bit
Do you remember the basic premise?
Taking on the life of an ancestor type deal?
bingo
same thing, youre reliving your own memories of Tau
no time travel, no au
its your memories
But like I thought we never reached Tau cuz the Zariman failed
well yea
but the Old Peace is during the Old War
where we did reach Tau
Ohhh okay that makes sense then
Us reaching Tau is a new development
a new-old development
Technically not new, since we knew they did send troops over the rail during the Old War, but the details surrounding it are
zariman failed and then the orokin created and sent the sentients to tau
no? why would you send the colony before the terraforming began
Sentients were before
Implied for a long time and confirmed in an interview
Lead writer says it was the other way. Zariman was sent because Sentients were taking too long
As a colony ship the Zariman did have terraforming capabilities however, in fact that was one of the og ideas for Duviri
A place made by the tech going haywire
So I noticed that "the devil in [Parvos's] eye" is singular.....
isn't devil both singular and plural
to find the most suitable planets to start exploring
