no, that is how duviri farm works, you fish for rng where you get 1st or 2nd decree as double drop and then just repeat it while farming, because everything will be the same (including all the decree variants, even rerolls) until you complete mission or spiral end

exalteds good too but are usually directional/a bit of aiming.

enemy armor got capped, enemy hp got buffed to keep EHP the same.
so slash became less incentivised as armor bypass wasnt as important anymore,
and slash was always the worst scaling dot, so buffed HP meant its nice to have but not worth focussing on

each different buff/damage increase works with other types.
like having fire rate, multishot, base damage. faction mod
4 different multipliers to the final damage.
when galv (or other stuff) is multiplicative, its just a 5th increase (like having another faction mod or extra extra base dmg)
you now have 5 multipliers

its why people mention diminishing returns.
you still get increases but if you can add +200% multishot, or +200 base damage (and you already have 300%)
multishot would be 3x total dmg, while +200% base would only be a 1.4x increase

as long as its the cloud ticks on a target which was hit directly by the grenade (its sticky, so attaches to the target), i think thats what people tested.
normal cloud aoe doesnt get the extra multiplier

base dmg, elemental mods, multishot, critchance/multi are all different multipliers with itself.
so the damage is still good, its just that galv being multiplicative is a massive final multiplier.

if you clouds are ticking for 100k, if grenade attached target has 3 statuses thats +240% final damage...
so 340k a tick
