Because it does work for farming? Like kinda well? The way it works is the range spreads the tentacles everywhere. With energy nexus by the time the tentacle victims die you have enough energy to immediately recast it onto new victims for more loot.

I remember some of the scaling, the open world was just much harder than even sp. i had builds that were able to go on sp, then I go to any open world non sp and just get killed. Now I can do that and not worry

I think you just encounter them in veil proxima, but I'm bad with railjack, so might be wrong.

If you do the kuva fortress assault node at the starting area where you put the data into the door and have to wait 30sec, after you start the door open sequence 4-6 dargyns spawn off the sides of the bridge in the meteor belt and slowly fly towards the door/shoot at you.

Incremental progress is tracked on rivens if there isn't a fail state so you can just do 2-4 in a run quit, redo, until it's complete

they can appear in plains of eidolon during day, it's random which mob hazards appear. you can also find them near main gate lock in koro (assault) in kuva fortress, they fly far on the sides of bridge
