Yes, don't actively build for physical effects however unless using a coda motovire (physical mods are hyper boosted on that)

You still shouldn't build directly for those effects but condition overload is an amazing mod and should be used on most non glaive melees

that's coda motovore's passive, the physical mods have like 600% increased effect

Status chance is still helpful to have, since you should be using one of in the melee build anyway, elec if melee influence, tox if corpus (and are not using influence arcane) and heat otherwise

yes, but I think it's not double critical chance like with some of the other mods

On Steel mods double it

so if you are using a heavy attack build, blood rush is usually not worth it because you sit at like 5x combo with initial combo which means the mod gives you 200% crit chance on heavy attacks while a cheaper mod true steel gives you 240%

Blood rush+galv steel is slightly better for DPS on heavy spam builds compared to sac steel+organ shatter, nevermind true steel

There's no best element, they all do different things, synergize with different loadouts, and deal with different factions differently

cathode current is the augment, the only break point is 400 strength/328 with corrosive projection for full strip, tbh since jade shadows its not necessary but it still is funny + she likes strength

with corrosive projection you can hit that 328 value with blind rage, transient fortitude molt augmented and a tau red shard on strength,
you can also drop the transient fortitude for umbral intensify and auger secrets which gives you a little more strength then needed

long story short each throw counts as a "melee hit" meaning to proc discipline's merit you would have to throw the glaive 4 times to proc it vs each bounce counting as a seperate melee hit

i looked it up to see if i could find answers, and all i could see was everyone going "lol this is pointless just do heavy explosion build"

the tennokai lights up after it hits an enemy on the throw so with the kestrel you can easily throw it and have between 3-7 bounces still available before you detonate it

i think the sentiment is by the time you get the tennokai to even show up either everything is dead, everything woulda been dead from the 5-6x initial combo from the 1st or 2nd throw, or especially with stuff like volatile quick return being popular a lot of glaives will end up hitting and coming back so the time you would use it would be on its return or mby the next throw which would be a shorter window

also it takes the place of whirlwind which is a very popular mod on glaives as well

12x glaive builds are more or less just lower-effort inferior glaive builds than 5x manual detonation

which is unfortunate for the kestrel because its entire gimmick hinges on bouncing

atleast on gyre you can actually get a lot of milage out of a thrown kestrel build with eletric + inlfuince

hence why this is my build where i can throw it, have it bounce around letting the radial attack build up some eletric and blast procs then explode it to do a bunch of blast damage creating a prty large aoe nuke (also if using gyre might be woth sloting out blood rush for smthn for more crit dmg or smthn instead tbh)

less of the kestrel has a passive that buffs it with her and just gyre synergizes well with eletric procs

to each their own, im a big fan of versatility and being able to mix and match without being locked into only being able to do something with something else and without it it falls flat which imop probably orients me away from using bouncy glaive builds for the sake of not wanting to have to run naramon with it so for me atleast i would probably either do inate combo count to have a base amount (as long as i keep killing) or combo duration if i werent using the xoris

plus i also find letting glaives bounce around makes exploding them (if you wanted to) just very hit or miss so especially for exploding them i find bouncing around to be more of a hinderence

the status is nothing special, most of the other glaives have a similar status chance, falcor force procs electric on both throw and heavy explosions, xoris force procs electric on explosions (both of which are much better with influence), the pathocyst force procs viral on explosions and every single one of those glaives have a higher explosion radius

the extra bounces almost doesn't matter when it has like...half the explosion radius on bounces as the xoris

I'd agree with not accepting shit practices but part of the key in not accepting them is either not using them or using alternatives and while I think there is an alternative for the relic overlay if you want the easy of access for stuff like rivens, what prime sets you have, voidcascade alerts, and more there really isn't another option that exists aside from manually doing that in which case it eats up a significant amount of your time
