with chroma you usually just choose one buff and mostly make sure you refresh your vex armor

heat and cold are most popular iirc

Chroma you just use two of his abilities because the rest is either bad or situational

that's why he needs a rework

also Vadarya Prime is kinda strong

especially on Lavos

to force gas procs

because Lavos is one of the few frames that can increase damage of gas status

and the lightnings seem to also apply guaranteed gas because it's an imbuement

Lavos is both versatile and I like his prime design

Universal weapon bonuses also apply to koumeis 1st ability too, like arcane arachne and vigorous swap, damage potential from it is really nice

Octavia has a weird unlock for her parts, Deimos survival has 1 part, the music room has 1 and I can't remember the 3rd

always get one source of these five things sorted first

damage, multishot, crit chance, crit damage, fire rate

after that decide what elements you want, viral+electricity is most common, viral+heat and corrosive+heat also work, and the build can be finished there

if you're only using 1-2 slots on elements like pure elec/heat/blast or a raw damage setup, decide what you want with the last 1-2 slots, there's elementalist for status damage, faction damage (which applies twice to status DoT), punch through, more crit chance/damage, a luxury element like one of the magnetic mods

and sometimes you can free up other slots with external buffs like fire rate and crit chance

i dont actually know if it's more common, but it's usually better

elec procs tick once instantly, heat has to wait a second, so if you're able to kill enemies within 1s of shooting them elec will do more, and it has the bonuses of being able to headshot and having an aoe

elec is better general purpose

heat is better if you need more focused damage to kill things

Inherit is when you apply a really strong dot from say a weapon then your warframe can also apply the same status but the status from warframe take the dmg from the initial mega busted heat proc from weapon

so I build it around as many status effects as I can

I would remove rifle aptitude, serration and add rifle elementalist and primary acuity
