to be more specific, archon vitality is pointless if you're running arcane hot shot, as hot shot stacks only trigger on heat procs directly applied by an ability, additional heat stacks from vitality will not give you extra stacks for hot shot

you need 2 imprints if it's not a random incubation, btw, there is only 2 kavats you can get from random so if you can enough farm codes you don't even need imprints

and even if you bought them, you can make your own imprints after incubation and sell them

my usual setup is ivara with equinox rest subsume, and i do exterminate too, but pretty sure you can go with any frame, only problem is to slow down kavats for the scanning without killing them

fyi, scan base drop chance is 25%, if you have resource drop chance booster and have access to steel path it becomes 100%

on normal you need booster + blessing for better results

that is why I farmed in early game only when I had booster from login or from sortie

once I got to sp and got an intersection of drop chance booster from sortie and drop booster from login, I farmed ~600 codes in a few hours

another thing you can try to try is using dante's noctua or heliocor (synoid version too) that can scan on kill
