I just did my first Descendia run on steel path. When we got to the boss floor, I got downed by him throgh ~30k OG and shield gate in a single hit (at least thats how I experienced it. I heard the OG break sfx and went down the same instant).
Not long after my team mates got downed as well and we ofc failed the mission. 40 minutes wasted.

you don't need to worry, those mostly affect duviri gameplay, if you right click each category you can see all future upgrades. there's no downside to investing in any tree (and if you play enough duviri you'll max out every category eventually)

You have to be very careful. Melee weapon ricochet? Kills an enemy. Any active ability like Electric Elemental Ward? Kills an enemy. The only effective way to kill the assassination target and nothing else these days is the Operator, assuming you don't use a secondary on the amp that... kills an enemy.

yeah things that do big raw damage that aren’t overly reliant on statuses, I personally use latron incarnon if I know I’m facing attenuation enemies cus big crits go brr even without statuses

I found the key, I think. Tennokai. On the Zaw I have the exilus that grants tennokai and boosts the damage. It also hits fast and adds combo with slash dmg. So at 12x with boosted tennokai, it takes actually good chunks off it's health. And this is without kullervo. I need to try it with him again, some time.
