If it was 15 seconds it’s not really useful for late or early game play because armor and Adaptation would still be pretty superior in that regard.

Additionally, notice the arcane description says hit.

Damage over time effects may still be a pretty strong deterrent if you don’t get status immunity.

Most sources of status immunity still require fairly active play, which is the main goal of balance.

To quote a stream example once before I think the methods they use to check balance are:

1. Is it disruptive to other players
2. Does it overtake everything else
3. Does it encourage afk play

I don’t really see any support to the argument of it being a 15 seconds cooldown until after it gets into players hands.

I could see it being 3 seconds at best, to raise that health regen bar to 1500/s.

But anything past that makes it a pretty weak contender for game content within 1-200s because damage doesn’t get all that high.

300s-800s could see some use out of it as a recovery for being hit on a frame in between recasts. But 15 seconds would still be way too long.

Per hit means in one second, 20 million damage hits will all turn into 500 damage, so you take 500 x 20 damage in total

But per second means your total damage taken will just be 500 in that one second

500 dps is the most you can take. If it’s 500 in 1 hit, that’s 500 dps, if it’s 20 million in 1 hit(in which I’m using “hit” as seconds)then that gets lowered to 500 damage

How I play wisp:
She’s a buffer (I’m not calling her exclusively a support because she plays perfectly fine on her own).

With the Fused Reservoir augment, you place all motes in one and get: movement speed / ~2x health / health regen / fire rate / attack speed / crowd control (combo with Archon Stretch).
And it’s not “static” if you think of it like any other duration-based buff. (If Roar "also" placed a mote, would we call that static?)

So it’s about finding weapons that work well with her, or even building weapons specifically for her, given the insane fire rate she can reach.

Ability 2: if you press it twice in a row, you get 3 seconds of invulnerability in case of danger/boss fights.

Ability 3: AoE crowd control and extra damage. (Or teleport + double range from one mote to another in static missions.)

Ability 4: I replaced it with even more buffs and subsumed Roar. XD
But I’ve seen players melt enemies in SP with Sol Gate, so that ability is definitely viable too for a different Wisp's playstyle.
