The mods go on a thing called a Plexus.

the weapons he lists have a natural >50% slash damage, so they can split bodies when they hit a killing blow, so you want to modify them with raw elemental damage (not with status chance, because some status effects kills will prevent the body from being split)

it makes the enemy take more damage, which makes them easier to kill with raw damage

so you're not avoiding status effects, you're just not modding your melee for extras
Orthos has a big 36% status chance to begin with so you will be slash, punc, and your chosen element pretty frequently, plus you have your companion and teammates doing status effects and such, and as soon as the enemy has 2 status effects, condition overload is stronger than sac pressure

It depends on many factors for those builds. For one, doing the Armor Strip &/or proccing other vulnerabilities will kill enemies quickly. Having the companion weapon modded to give some primer action is another thing that plays into actual damage, rather than Arsenal screen numbers.

boar prime incarnon, lato vandal incarnon riven, and orthos prime are all you really need.

Swap boar out for felarx when you want more punch.

But it really comes down to personal preference.

That's why my companions are just loot vacuums without even a weapon on and my cat if I use it just gets left to die. They do nothing and looking at a build guide for them is useless if they don't help my build.

I like Nekros, Nekros with a Scourge staff that I like the look of and aklex prime for secondary and Prisma Dual Cleavers and Deathcube Prime as an example likely isn't a winning combo for hard content right?

Yeah, I've done that one before. Top one first, then pop it out and set it on the second, then pop that out and put it on the one over the edge.

If it falls off the level, it'll respawn.

Dethcube is better for energy hungry setups but can be set as a deth machine. aklex on the other hand... could use a swap for something else

scourge is great for utility and the cleavers are prety good

My problem with a lot of the melee weapons is they "pull" you around.

What i'm hoping for is a warframe and weapons combo that with just damage type switch for enemy types could do all the mission types. Right now if I have to do defense or mobile defense on normal star chart I have to swap to zephyr prime since Nekros can't do it. If I need to do spy missions I have to swap to Ivara because no other frame can do it. Survival? Can't do that without playing Ivara because she doesn't get attacked but anything else just dies to damage.

Ivara won't be any good for steel path survival though because it takes like 90 bullets of the Baza Prime to kill a single enemy.

Saryn has good aoe dmg but would be one shot in alot of content

The warframes I find fun are just too squishy to play at high levels or in certain types of missions and it just sucks

Summoning is an uncommon thing with some warframes.

The ones off the top of my head are Nekros and Caliban. But those will be a little bit before you can even get those.

I guess Oraxia too but those are more of a side-effect.

Looking at a list of potential summons, I see... technically Titanias Razorwing. Inaros Swarm Kavats. Atlas Rumblers.

Otherwise, the rest are more of ... companion summons like Wukongs twin, Lokis decoy, Khoras cat.

Excal is a very fine starter. They'll carry you pretty far though, their final ability being the real damage dealer.

Volt's final ability can do serious damage too, although it needs a bit of modding.

Ok so Mariana the 2nd mission on Earth on Steel Path atm is 106-108 enemies since atm it's an exterminate void fissure and I just went in on Nekros Prime and using Nataruk and Orthos Prime and Orthos Prime did better damage than the Nataruk but being in melee I just got killed non stop 🙁

Nataruk was taking like 20 shots to kill one thing. Ended up dying with no leftover revives after only getting about 2/3 of the kills needed.

You've reversed your health & your shields. With Despoil, you're exchanging health for loot, so you need a lot of health. For shield gating, you want a low max shield so that it's constantly breaking (and thus, you hit the "gate" & get the few seconds of invulnerability).

so I'm a returning player and still trying to wrap my head around prime resurgence. I know it means that two frames that are vaulted are available again for a limited time and you can buy their relics for aya. But here is what confuses me:

• Are the relics added back to the drop pool during prime resurgence or is aya the only way to get them?
• If they are then do they only stay for the duration of prime resurgence? And if so what determines which relics are permanently in rotation?
• And if they do not get added back to the drop pool in resurgence then what decides when they will be back in rotation?

No, the relics are only avaiable thru Aya and they don't return to the drop pool (iirc)

I don't think they will be added back to the rotation, at least i've never seen an old relic come back. They have to create space for the new frames and new prime parts
