Okay, I'm having a bit of a problem getting the Thalys to activate its incarnon form. Can someone explain this to me?
I think I've gotten the combo requirements to make it activate when I press the heavy attack button. But, it doesn't seem to want to count when I kill the required enemies to unlock its second phase.

Its just the one but the further you go, you'll need higher. To do any of the Veil/void proxima you'll have to be level 7. It is needed for leveling factions and gathering material for calibans base frame

Railjack is also worth investing into since Nyx Prime and Valkyr Prime relics drop as rewards in proxima. Along with farming Sevagoth, Oberon, and Ash

Vaulted frames, the relics can be run by anyone who has them already, or you can wait for the frame to return to Prime Resurgence and buy them with regular Aya.

Otherwise, easiest to look up in the Wiki for the specific unvaulted relic you're looking for to see the places it can be farmed. Most good farming locations are Disruption or Capture nodes.

so frames like cyte, garuda, gauss energized munitions make them quite good

there’s the lancer mk1, being the retro lancer with a standard bayonet but the locusts thick hide make that not as effective as they’d have to put alot of force behind the blade, so the lancer mk2 was created to be good at medium and close range confrontations and being faster to use at close range then swapping to your secondary(much as price says it’s faster to switch to your secondary instead of reload)
